HCS member Sharaf Al-Din: Salame made big mistakes
[Libya Observer] Member of the High Council of State (HCS), Najat Sharaf Al-Din has said that the former UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame had made a big mistake, by seeking international interests at the expense of the interest of Libya.

Sharaf Al-Din said that Salame failed to adhere to the political agreement.

"He lacked a clear mechanism in choosing the dialogue committees from the start, beginning from Ghadames until the Geneva talks," she explained.

HCS member expressed her hope that the new envoy would perform his duties away from international inducements, supporting the international legitimacy and the constitution implemented by the elected constituent assembly, so as Libyans could have their say.

Çavuşoğlu: Turkey has struck a balance in Libya
[Libya Observer] Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that steps taken by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
in Libya had struck an appropriate balance.

Cavusoglu told Anadolu News Agency Tuesday "The strides we have made have achieved a balance that led to a ceasefire and will pave the way for an upcoming political phase."

"We have made the whole world accepts this," he added.

The Ottoman Turkish minister emphasized Turkey's important role in Libya, noting that there is no meeting held on Libya without Turkey's presence.

The Grand Turk
Turkey to retaliate heavily if cease-fire violated
[Hurriyet Daily News] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
will respond heavily if the cease-fire with Russia is violated in northwestern Syria’s Idlib, President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
said on March 11.

If the relevant parties of the Moscow deal violate the deal, Turkey will "never avoid going over them heavier than before," Erdogan said at the parliamentary group meeting.

"Turkey will do more than mere retaliation if its observation posts in Idlib are targeted," he emphasized.

"We are closely monitoring the deployment of the Assad regime and allied forces of Evil near the cease-fire lines," he said, stressing that Turkey will abide by the cease-fire deal so long as the Assad regime and its allies do the same.

The attack attempts of the PKK members in the Tel Rifat region have also increased gradually, he said.

"We will stand against both the terror group [YPG/PKK] and sectarian regime forces," he said, adding that Turkey will not get caught in another vicious cycle of terror that has claimed tens of thousands of lives in Turkey already.

Turkey agreed on temporary cease-fire and related agreements, not because it cannot afford to the regime or terrorist organization, but to find reasonable and practical solution for all parties to the crisis in Idlib.

Vowing to keep border open, Turkey's Erdogan compares Greeks to Nazis
[FRANCE24] President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
said Wednesday he would keep The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s border open for refugees until the EU had met all his demands, while comparing Greece’s response to the crisis to the Nazis.
"met all his demands"
"NO"

"Until all Turkey’s expectations, including free movement ... updating of the customs union and financial assistance, are tangibly met, we will continue the practice on our borders," he said in a televised speech.

Turkey’s decision at the end of February to re-open its border for refugees sparked a row with Brussels, as well as harsh exchanges with Greece.

Greece has tear-gassed thousands of migrants colonists trying to break through and been accused of beating and stripping migrants colonists of their belongings if they made it across the border.

"There is no difference between what the Nazis did and those images from the Greek border," Erdogan said.

Greece has denied using violence and accused Turkey of pushing desperate people into dangerous attempts to enter Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
Erdogan said he opened the gates in order to pressure Europe into providing greater assistance with the Syrian conflict, where Turkey has fought to push back a regime offensive on the last rebel stronghold of Idlib.

"With the warming of the weather in the spring, the influx of irregular migrants colonists heading to Europe will not be limited to Greece but spread all over the Mediterranean," he warned.

But he reiterated that Turkey hopes for a fresh agreement with Brussels ahead of the next EU leaders’ summit on March 26.

Supreme Court allows Trump to enforce 'Remain in Mexico' policy
Sure, "Open Borders" in a time of transnational pandemic. Trump should "never let a crisis go to waste", to Alinskey a phrase
More about this story from yesterday.
[Hill] The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that the Trump administration may enforce a policy that requires asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico.

The justices will allow the "Remain in Mexico" policy to continue while the administration appeals a lower court ruling which deemed the program illegal and ordered a suspension that was scheduled to take effect Thursday.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor was the only justice to publicly dissent from the decision to allow the policy to continue.
The self-proclaimed (without evidence) "Wise Latina™"
Known officially as Migrant Protection Protocols, the policy aims to curb entry into the U.S. by asylum-seekers, many of whom are Central American migrants. More than 60,000 asylum-seekers have been barred from entry since the program was implemented just over a year ago, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The program has been used to "process tens of thousands of aliens applying for asylum ... without the need to detain the applicants in the United States during the weeks and months it takes to process their applications," read a court filing that DHS submitted to the justices last week.

Critics of the Trump administration policy say it's a cruel measure that endangers the lives of those fleeing violence and other hardships.

A federal district court in California last April ruled that the policy violates U.S. immigration law and contravenes international human rights norms. The court ordered the administration to stop the practice along the entire U.S. border.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit upheld the lower court's legal ruling, but the appellate court narrowed the injunction to apply to California and Arizona, the two border states under its jurisdiction.

The injunction, which was scheduled to take effect Thursday, would have affected those two states, but would not have applied to New Mexico or Texas.

The White House hailed the Supreme Court's move on Wednesday.

"Today's order from the Supreme Court is a major victory for the Trump Administration. By allowing the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) to remain in effect, the Court has prevented dangerous chaos at the southern border, avoided a significant escalation in public health threats, and mitigated damage to foreign relations," White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement.

#1  for Iran as of today,

infections over 10,000 (2000+ in past 24 hours),

deaths over 400 (100+ in past 24 hours)

I suspect that, like China, the virus is more deadly in Iran because the air pollution has been so bad for so long it damaged peoples lungs.

Iran agrees to send black boxes of downed airliner to Ukraine
[DAILYSABAH] Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has agreed to send black boxes from a downed Ukrainian jetliner to Kyiv for analysis, an Iranian official said Wednesday, a move that would end a two-month standoff over the recordings from the jet.

Top Iranian officials have until now refused to hand over the flight recorders from the Ukraine International Airlines flight, which was shot down by the Iranian military on Jan. 8 with the loss of all 176 people on board.

Farhad Parvaresh, who heads Iran's delegation at the U.N.'s Montreal-based International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), said Tehran's civil aviation authority had also invited other interested countries to participate in reading the data.

This effectively opens the door to the U.S., Ukraine, Canada and ICAO itself, people familiar with the investigation said. Air crash investigations are usually left to ICAO's 193 member states. Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne described the move as a step in the right direction.

"We welcome those words, but we will judge Iran obviously by their actions," he told news hounds. Ottawa has repeatedly pressed Iran to hand over the damaged boxes from the crash, in which 57 Canadians died.

The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. Chelsea Manning Attempted Suicide in Jail, Is Recovering, Lawyers Say
Attention whores gotta attention whore. Let HIM rot
[Gizmodo] Imprisoned activist and former Army intelligence analyst Bradley Chelsea Manning
...formerly Bradley Manning before he decided to become a girl. He, or she or whatever it was, was a misfit Army intel analyst who decided to leak all the secrets he could lay hands on. Sentenced to 35 years in Leavenworth, he was sprung on an Obamapardon in 2017....
attempted suicide on Wednesday in the Alexandria, Virginia, jail where she's been held for a year following her refusal to testify before a federal grand jury investigating WikiLeaks.

Manning's legal team confirmed the incident in an statement to Gizmodo. She is currently in the hospital and is recovering, they said. Manning was scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday regarding a motion to terminate the sanctions she's faced for refusing to testify.

U.S. prosecutors are attempting to "coerce" Manning into testifying about her past association with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange by keeping her in jail. Assange, who has been detained in London for nearly a year, is currently battling extradition to the U.S. where he faces an 18-count indictment, including alleged violations of the Espionage Act, for publishing documents leaked by Manning in 2010.

Manning, who previously served seven years in a military prison for the leak, has stated her ongoing defiance stems from her contempt for the grand jury process itself. In a letter to Judge Anthony Trenga last year, Manning said she objected to the grand jury "as an effort to frighten journalists and publishers who serve a crucial public good."

"I have had these values since I was a child, and I've had years of confinement to reflect on them," she said. "For much of that time, I depended for survival on my values, my decisions, and my conscience. I will not abandon them now."

A judge ordered financial sanctions against Manning last summer in addition to her confinement. The fines she's accrued now total more than a quarter-million dollars.
Fry this fucker up
Sorry to hear it. The recovery I mean.
