Mullah Omar never visited Pakistan after 9/11 -- let alone die there, new biography claims; Kabul rejects
[DAWN] A new biography by a Dutch journalist claims that the United States and its allied government in Kabul were incorrect when they said that Taliban

#1  The ARG Presidential Palace has rejected the claims regarding the hideout of Taliban group founder Mullah Mohammad Omar.

“We strongly reject this delusional claim and we see it as an effort to create and build an identity for the Taliban and their foreign backers,” Haroon Chakhansuri, deputy chief of staff of President’s Office said in a Twitter post.

Chakhansuri further added “We have sufficient evidence which shows he lived and died in Pakistan. Period!”

...Well then, there ya go. I mean, if you can't trust the Pakistanis...

Yemeni militiamen suspected of child rape: Amnesty
[DAWN] Children as young as eight have been raped in a besieged city in war-hit Yemen, Amnesia Amnesty International said on Monday, with Lions of Islam among the suspected perpetrators.

Amnesty said it had documented evidence of the rape of three boys and the sexual assault of a fourth in the southwestern city of Taez, controlled by pro-government forces and surrounded by Yemeni rebels.

The families of the four boys, aged eight to 16, told Amnesty their sons had been assaulted over the past eight months, including at a mosque, but authorities in the area had not been responsive.

All four families reported the assaults to the Criminal Investigations Unit in Taez, Amnesty said. No legal measures had been taken.

"Rape and sexual assault committed in the context of an armed conflict are war crimes," said Heba Morayef, Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa director. "Commanders who fail to stop such heinous acts can themselves be responsible for war crimes."

The mother of an eight-year-old boy told Amnesty her son had been raped at least twice in 2018 at a mosque, each time by two men including the son of an Islah-affiliated imam.

Al-Islah is a Yemeni krazed killer party with historic ties to the Moslem Brüderbund and Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
Medical reports reviewed by Amnesty showed the boy suffered impaired mobility and concussions as a result of assault.

The father of a 13-year-old boy reported his son had been raped by the same two men at the same mosque.

Another boy, who reported being raped in December, told Amnesty he had been assaulted at gunpoint by an "Islahi-aligned militiaman".

"He was unable to sit afterwards or go to the bathroom for three days," the mother of the 16-year-old said. "He just sat there staring into space."

Other unreported cases are likely, Amnesty said, as families are often too afraid of militias, which have flourished in the chaos of war, to come forward.

Convicted sexual violence offenders can be given the death penalty
under Yemeni law. A number of men have been publicly executed in recent years for the rape and murder of children.

Britain
Runaway IS teen's mum asks for 'mercy' from UK
[PULSE.NG] The mother of a London girl who bravely ran away to join the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group in Syria urged the UK government on Monday to reinstate the teenager's British citizenship after she lost her third child.

A lawyer representing Shamima Begum's family wrote to interior minister Sajid Javid, pleading with him to reverse his February 19 decision to strip her of her British citizenship "as an act of mercy".

Begum, now 19, had asked to return home after giving birth to a son last month in a refugee camp in northeastern Syria, but London refused. The three-week-old baby, Jarrah, has since died from pneumonia.

She has told British media that her two other children died in infancy in Syria.

Begum's fate has sparked heated debate in Britannia, which like other countries is facing a dilemma over whether to allow jihadists and IS sympathisers home to face prosecution, or stop them from returning at all.

She was 15 when she left east London for Syria with two other schoolgirls in 2015.

She was found by journalists in a refugee camp after fleeing fighting between the jihadist group and US-backed forces.

She is married to Dutch IS fighter Yago Riedijk, 27, who is now being held in a Kurdish-run detention centre in northeast Syria.

CALL FOR MERCY
Urging Javid to reverse his decision, Begum's mother "requests this reconsideration, as an act of mercy", following Jarrah's death, said the letter from law firm Farooq Bajwa and Co.

"It is extremely unlikely that Shamima will be in a fit state to make any rational decisions."

The letter said the family have not been able to contact Begum directly and their request for help from the British government to contact her was refused in writing by the Home Office on March 5.

"There are immediate fears for Shamima's health and safety, and the matter is urgent," the letter said, asking for a response within 24 hours.

The letter was posted on Twitter by lawyer Tasnime Akunjee.

In the wake of the baby's death, Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said officials were working on how to rescue British children born to IS runaways.

Hunt said the death of Begum's third child was "an incredibly distressing and sad situation" but that it was too dangerous to dispatch officials to the war zone.

"Shamima knew when she made the decision to join ISIS (IS) she was going to a country where there's no embassy, where there's no consular assistance," he told BBC television on Sunday.

"And I'm afraid those decisions, awful though it is, they do have consequences."
Dawn adds:
Javid has previously said that more than 100 individuals had already been deprived of their British citizenship.

Europe
Viktor Orbán: 'Hungary is a Christian country and not a place for multiculturalism'
[VOE] In an interview in a book published by French politician and essayist Philippe de Villiers, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán says there is no place for multiculturalism in Hungary.

"What outrages our opponents the most is the fact that in our Constitution we have written that Hungary has Christian roots, that here there is no place for multiculturalism, that a child has the right to a mother and a father, and that our nation has the right to defend its borders."

Orbán stated that the Hungarian people have long-standing traditions of resistance to "limited sovereignty": "First there were the rulers of the Holy Roman Empire, then the khans of the vast Mongol Empire, followed by the sultans of the Ottoman Empire; and then the Soviet comrades and their tanks.

All of them wanted to put an end to Hungary", he said, "but mysteriously the Hungarian people have survived in a boundless sea of Germans and Slavs."

Asked if he is concerned today about the danger of national dissolution, Orbán said that he sees disintegration of the EU as a greater danger, with a line dividing Europe into two parts ‐ one which is becoming Islamised, and one which does not want to become Islamised.

He outlined the choices thus: "If they leave us alone and do not force Islamisation upon us, Europe can live on as a club of free nations. If, however, they force us to accept the UN’s migration compact or the decisions of the European Commission, thereby aligning us with their permissive Western policy, disintegration cannot be ruled out."

The Prime Minister continued: "For us the accusation that we are not fully European is a cruel joke. When after half a century of Soviet occupation and communist oppression we finally regained our freedom, when the West opened its arms to embrace us, we thought we had returned to our own kind ‐ a family of free nations resting on the pillars of Christian culture, national identity and human dignity."

"Not even in our worst nightmares did we think that, twenty-nine years after our enchained nations gained freedom and the continent reunited, Europe would again be vulnerable to imperial ambitions ‐ those which this time do not originate outside its borders, but within them."

He added that Europe is not a melting pot, but the home of nations.

Iraqi suspect in murder of German teen goes on trial
[DW] Iraqi national Ali B. is set to go on trial for the murder of 14-year-old Susanna F. The case has fueled a broader debate about asylum practices in Germany, particularly for individuals who have committed crimes.

In May 2018, 14-year-old Susanna F.
...that would be Jewish German Susanna Feldmann, also spelt Susanna Feldman in our archives, about whose misadventure the local authorities were uninterested in taking a report or acting upon until the uproar grew loud enough to be embarrassing...
was murdered in the German city of Wiesbaden. Her body was found on June 6 of that year in a forest not far from the refugee home where the suspect, 22-year-old Ali B.,
......the Iraqi Kurd known wolf with a string of “petty” offenses including armed robbery who fled with his family back to Kurdistan after murdering a nice Jewish German girl. He was then arrested and handed over — illegally, according to the government in Baghdad — to the German authorities when the Kurds realized what had attempted to nestle into their welcoming bosom. Mr. Bashar, also in our archives as Ali B. and Ali Basar, is a living example of the legal maxim Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus: he falsified his name and his age upon arrival with his family 2015, then he escaped Germany after that murder using a false passport, having paid cash for a one-way ticket to Iraq via Istanbul...
lived. Ali B., who had applied for asylum in Germany but had his request rejected, has confessed to the murder. On Tuesday, he will go on trial at the Wiesbaden district court.

Susanna's murder made headlines across Germany, fueling a heated debate about how to deal with asylum-seekers who have committed crimes in the country. It also raised questions about the role of the current German government in steering migration, and what can be done to make the judiciary and police work more efficiently.

While the country's right-wing populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party started organizing "vigils" and "solemn marches" after Susanna's killing, others protested against the instrumentalization of the girl's murder for political purposes and the increased polarization of German society. Susanna's killing sparked particular outrage because Ali B. was apparently already known to German police for previous crimes.

ARRESTED IN IRAQ
Several days after Susanna F.'s death, Ali B. and his family suddenly left Germany for their native Iraq using forged documents. A political scandal ensued. DW reporter Jaafar Abdul Karim managed to contact Ali B.'s mother in Iraq, who said her son had been drunk at the time and could not remember what had happened.

German police traveled to Iraq to apprehend Ali B.

Ultimately, Ali B. was arrested by local security forces in Iraq and brought back to Germany. The chief of the German federal police, Dieter Romann, had traveled to the city of Erbil, in Iraq's northern Kurdish region, together with several members of the country's GSG 9 anti-terror squad and a doctor in order to apprehend the suspect.

Back on German soil, Ali B. confessed to the murder. However, to this day he denies having raped Susanna F. Ali B. has been in pretrial detention in Frankfurt since June 10, 2018.

In a separate case on March 19, Ali B. will also go trial at the Wiesbaden district court for allegedly twice raping an 11-year-old girl together with a 14-year-old accomplice.

DEPORTATION LIKELY?
According to an indictment seen by German regional public broadcaster SWR, Susanne F. sent a text message to her friend's phone shortly before her death, informing her about her distress.

Susanna's lawyer Petra Kaadtmann told SWR that "this friend neither contacted the police nor Susanna's mother ... and that if she had done so, this crime could have been prevented." Susanna's mother had previously criticized the friend on Facebook.

A verdict is expected in late May. If Ali B. is found guilty, he could be deported to Iraq, though he would likely serve at least half of his sentence in Germany. While deportations to Iraq have been ruled out by the German government since 2006 for security reasons, this does not apply for Kurdish Iraqis, individuals deemed potential terrorists and convicted criminals.

Brussels Jewish museum killer facing jail says 'life goes on'
[PULSE.NG] A French jihadist found guilty of shooting dead four people in a terrorist attack at Brussels' Jewish museum joked Monday "life goes on" as prosecutors demanded he be placed in durance vile
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
for life.

A jury last week convicted Mehdi Nemmouche of "terrorist murder" for the anti-Semitic gun rampage in the Belgian capital on May 24, 2014, a crime committed following his return from Syria's battlefields.

The 33-year-old said "life goes on" with a smirk in his final words before the jury retired to consider his sentence, after prosecutors branded him a "coward" and a "psychopath" and demanded a tough sentence.

"What we ask, without the slightest hesitation, is that you sentence Mehdi Nemmouche to life in prison," prosecutor Yves Moreau told the Brussels criminal court.

After hearing closing statements from prosecution and defence lawyers, the 12 jurors and three judges left to decide what punishment he should face, with an announcement expected by the evening.

Nemmouche was found to have killed the four victims in less than 90 seconds, shooting them with a handgun and a Kalashnikov rifle with what one paramedic who attended the scene called "surgical" precision.

Prosecutors also demanded a minimum 30-year prison sentence for Nacer Bendrer, 30, who was found guilty of being the co-author of the attack because he supplied the weapons Nemmouche used.

"Mr Nemmouche, you are just a coward, you kill people by shooting them from behind, you kill old women by shooting them with an assault rifle, you kill because it gives you pleasure to kill," Moreau said.

Urging the jury to take a firm line, Moreau said: "If you say that in Belgium one can be a terrorist without being punished very severely, then we must not be surprised to see people arrive in this country with bombs or assault rifles in their suitcases."

Bendrer said he was ashamed that he had ever met Nemmouche, saying "he's not even a man, he's a monster".

Prosecutors say the attack was the first carried out in Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
by a jihadist returning to the continent after fighting in Syria.

The Brussels killings came 18 months before the November 2015 Gay Paree attacks which left 130 people dead.

Nemmouche denied the charges against him, with his lawyers alleging that the museum shooting was not the work of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. The Grand Turk
Turkey summons Belgium ambassador in Ankara: Turkish Official
[AlAhram] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
has summoned the Belgian ambassador in Ankara to protest a Brussels appeals court decision that said a Kurdish rebel group cannot be considered to be a terrorist organization.

A Ottoman Turkish Foreign Ministry official said Monday that Turkey ``conveyed its unease'' over the decision to Ambassador Michel Malherbe.

The decision relates to a case under which Belgian federal prosecutors were seeking to try around 30 suspected member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, who allegedly recruited young Kurds in Belgium and elsewhere in Europe, and then took them to combat training camps.

A Brussels appeal court however, ruled Friday that ``insufficient elements were provided to conclude that the PKK is guilty of terrorist offenses.''

The PKK is considered a terror organization by Turkey, the United States and the EU.

Islamabad to highlight LoC violations, Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir at PUIC conference
[DAWN] Islamabad has decided to raise the issue of violations of the Line of Control, as well as its international boundary by India at the 14th plenary session of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC).

According to a blurb issued by the National Assembly, Speaker Asad Qaiser has nominated a parliamentary delegation, led by Kashmire Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam, to highlight Indian atrocities in Kashmire while representing Pakistain at the PUIC plenary session being held in Rabat, Morocco from March 10-14, 2019.

"Pakistain’s delegation will apprise the 54-member PUIC forum about the continued violation of Pakistain's illusory sovereignty and territorial integrity by India, which has brought the region to the brink of war and devastation," read the statement.

It added that the delegation will take the forum into confidence on steps taken by the government of Pakistain to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Following the instructions of the NA speaker, two resolutions ‐ one on the situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmire and one on according protection of Moslem women and kiddies in the area under conflict ‐ have been included on the agenda items of the conference.

Qatari envoy enters Gaza to distribute $5.5 million cash grant to needy families
[Ynet] Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i envoy Mohammed al-Emadi will on Monday begin distributing funds to the impoverished residents of the Gazoo Strip as part of the second installments of Qatari grant.

The five-and-a-half million dollars cash grant will be distributed to 55,000 families, with each one receiving around $100.

Netanyahu: Money To Hamas Part Of Strategy To Keep Palestinians Divided

[Jpost] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel’s regular allowing of Qatari funds to be transferred into Gazoo, saying it is part of a broader strategy to keep Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, and the Paleostinian Authority separate, a source in Monday’s Likud faction meeting said.

Netanyahu explained that, in the past, the PA transferred the millions of dollars to Hamas in Gazoo. He argued that it was better for Israel to serve as the pipeline to ensure the funds don’t go to terrorism.

"Now that we are supervising, we know it’s going to humanitarian causes," the source said, paraphrasing Netanyahu.

The prime minister also said that, "whoever is against a Paleostinian state should be for" transferring the funds to Gazoo, because maintaining a separation between the PA in the West Bank and Hamas in Gazoo helps prevent the establishment of a Paleostinian state.

Netanyahu also spoke about his Bar-Ilan speech, in which he expressed support for a demilitarized Paleostinian state a decade ago.

At the time, Netanyahu said, he told then-US vice president Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
his conditions for a Paleostinian state: that it be demilitarized, that Jerusalem remain unified and that Israel have full security control, including freedom of action for the IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) to prevent terrorism against Israel.

In addition, he told the Likud candidates in the faction meeting that he opposes any population transfers of Jews or Arabs, and that he’s "against uprooting even one person."

He said that he had voted for the 2005 Gazoo disengagement at first because it was only about territory, but when the discussions moved to moving thousands of people, he resigned from the government.
Party leaders across the political spectrum have criticized Netanyahu’s policies towards Gazoo in general and the payments specifically.

The Blue and White Party’s platform calls to stop allowing the transfer of funds to Hamas, calling it mafia-style "protection" payments.

Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman, who resigned as head of the Defense Ministry over Gazoo policies, said on Saturday that the payments are a "miserable decision," marking "the first time Israel is funding terrorism against itself."

US citizen Michael White sentenced in Iranian court: Agencies
[AlAhram] A U.S. citizen held in Iran has been sentenced for an unspecified crime, Iranian news agencies reported on Monday, in a case likely to worsen already terrible relations with the United States.

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

has reported. The arrest - the only known one of a U.S. citizen since President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
took office - was confirmed by Iran only in January.

On Monday, the prosecutor in the northeastern city of Mashhad, Gholamali Sadeqi, said White had been sentenced, the Fars news agency reported.

He said White had been accused of a security-related charge but did not specify if that was what he had been convicted of. Iranian officials have never said why he was being held.

Trump withdrew from an international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program and re-imposed crippling economic sanctions last year. He warned in 2017 Tehran would face "new and serious consequences" unless all unjustly held U.S. citizens were freed.

White’s sentencing comes days after Iran appointed a new head of the judiciary - Ebrahim Raisi, a hardline holy man who is a protégé of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The appointment is seen as weakening the political influence of President Hassan Rouhani, a relative moderate.

Also on Monday, an Iranian court handed a new sentence to renowned human rights

lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh which her husband said was 38 years in prison and 148 lashes. The official Islamic Theocratic Republic News Agency said she had been sentenced to seven years.

...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
ISIS on Friday and Saturday, after reportedly being rescued by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from the final ISIS-held enclave near Baghouz on Thursday.

Twenty-two-year-old Selwa Seydo and 20-year-old Teysir Sileman Hussein, freed Yezidi women from Iraq’s Shingal District, recounted their time as ISIS prisoners while speaking from the Syrian village of al-Suwar, Deir ez-Zor Governorate on Friday.

Seydo shared how she had been captured by ISIS alongside her mother, sister and brother, before "some Iraqi came to me and said he would take me for himself. I cried, I said I did not want this but there was nothing I could do."

"We stayed in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
for around 10 months. When he and his family had issues with ISIS, ISIS took me from him and brought me back to Raqqa. I was, of course, a handmaid to them," she added.

Hussein remembered how she was only 14 when ISIS arrived in her village and "gave us 15 days to become Moslem. They were approaching men and women and telling them to become Moslems."

Hussein went on to recount how one night ISIS members "put all the girls and women, between seven and 30 years old, on their vehicles and took us to Mosul. After that, they returned and kidnapped all the children."

"They treated me really badly, using me as a handmaid. They beat me when I had nothing to do. They would not give me food, they would not take me to doctor," said Hussein of her captivity under ISIS. On the prospect of returning to her home after being freed, Hussein said "I will have nobody. No mother, no father, no siblings. Only one sister and she is a captive of ISIS."

Seydo and Hussein were part of a group of eight Yezidis - five of which children - from Shingal who were reportedly rescued by SDF in Baghouz on Thursday. Footage shows them being transported by bus from al-Suwar to the Syrian town of Amuda, where a Yezidi safe house is reportedly located.

Mehdi Gazi Mihemed, a former ISIS child captive from Iraq’s Tal Afar, recounted his experience while speaking from Amuda on Saturday, reminiscing how "I was there in Tal Afar with my family, they took us to a house, then they kidnapped my father. They left me and my mother on a vehicle, then a second car came, they separated us, children, from our mothers and put us inside this car." Mihemed was eventually freed by the head of a school. "He told us 'just run, but don't tell anyone that I've freed you.' He showed us the way to the mountains."

Between Friday, March 1 and Thursday, March 7 at least 30 Yezidis freed from Baghouz were reportedly brought back to Shingal.

UN warns against stigmatising 'caliphate' children

group's "caliphate" should not be treated as terrorists, the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
' Children Fund (UNICEF) warned Monday.

The agency's Middle East director said the fate of children whose jihadist families recently fled IS's last bastion in northeastern Syria should not be ignored.

"The message that these children are not wanted is growing stronger and stronger," Geert Cappelaere said at a presser in Beirut.

According to UNICEF, an estimated 3,000 foreign children are currently housed at the al-Hol camp which has taken in most of the massive influx of people fleeing the scrap of the IS "caliphate" in recent weeks.

They originate from at least 43 different countries, many of which have been reluctant to tackle the issue of their possible repatriation.

There are even larger numbers of displaced Syrian and Iraqi children who are associated with IS and whose reintegration in society is a challenge that is getting scant attention.

"This is a problem that cannot be swept under the carpet," said Cappelaere, speaking at the launch of a CD of children's song coinciding with the eighth anniversary of the conflict in Syria.

"These are situations that are not necessarily unprecedented, look back at the Rwandan genocide in the mid-nineties," he added.

"We saw thousands of children there who were associated with people who had been committing atrocities. These children have for a big part been successfully reintegrated within the Rwandan society," he said.

Cappelaere said such efforts are needed in Syria and Iraq.

"There is a solution for these children. It requires political courage, political commitment. These children are children, they are not terrorists," he said.

He said a total of five million children were born since the start of the conflict in 2011.

While fighting has wound up in several parts of Syria in recent months, millions of Syrian children remain in need of basic humanitarian assistance.

Protect children of IS jihadis, Nobel winner urges Europe

[PULSE.NG] Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi
Who?
on Monday urged European governments to protect the children of their citizens who went to live under the Islamic State group, days after the death of a baby born to a London teenager in a Syrian refugee camp.
That’s lovely, but why is he pontificating on the subject?

#1  Ah. Looking deeper into the second article, we discover

Satyarthi, a lifetime Indian campaigner for child rights who won the Nobel Prize in 2014 along with Pakistan's Malala Yousafzai.

I really do need to remember to read first, comment second, and not the other way round.

#2  Agreed. Now let those from the UN who recommended this course accept these poor children Nd widows into their own communities, schools, houses and businesses.

#3  "This is a problem that cannot be swept under the carpet," said Cappelaere, speaking at the launch of a CD of children's song coinciding with the eighth anniversary of the conflict in Syria.

Did that CD contain songs such as, 'Throw The Jew In The Well' and 'Death To The Infidel'?
