Afghanistan
No plan to establish safe zones for the Taliban: President Ghani
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
has reacted at the rumors suggesting that the government is mulling hand over of certain areas as safe zones to the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
group.

President Ghani said the government has no plan to hand over any part of the country to the Taliban group as safe zones.

He informed regarding the government’s stance during a presser in Kabul which was organized to brief the media about the recent developments regarding peace and ceasefire.

He is the proposed plan for the establishment of safe zones is not a governmental plan and there is consensus regarding such a plan.

President Ghani further added that the government is one and no area of the country would be handed over to anyone.

This comes as the leader of Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar
... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the World but who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil...
had earlier emphasized that the safe zones might encourage Taliban to accept the offer for peace talks.

Speaking during a presser in Kabul in March, the leader of Hezb-e-Islami pointed towards his recommendations for the safe zones for Taliban and said such zones should be created in a bid to help protect the Taliban group members and their families who are willing to join grinding of the peace processor.

Arabia
Kuwait to raise oil output by 85,000 bpd
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Kuwait will raise oil output by 85,000 barrels per day (bpd)starting on Sunday, part of an agreement between OPEC and non-OPEC producers to increase production by one million bpd, Energy Minister Bakhit al-Rashidi told a local newspaper on Saturday.

"Kuwait will raise its oil production from tomorrow to 2.785 million barrels, a daily increase of 85,000 compared to May, based on last week’s production cut agreement," Rashidi told Arabic-language daily al-Rai.

OPEC agreed with Russia and other oil-producing allies this month to raise output from July by about 1 million bpd.

Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
plans to pump up to 11 million bpd in July, and Russia has said it could increase output by more than 200,000 bpd.

Oil prices hit $80 a barrel this year for the first time since 2014, prompting consumers like the United States to raise concerns.

The output increases come as the United States has urged some OPEC members to raise output to compensate for supply losses caused by renewed US sanctions on Iran.

#3  ...I'm sorry, but this is fake news, as I was assured that:

*We were at peak oil,
*The Saudis were at maximum production, so they had nothing TO ramp up, and
*Any effort on our part to drill and ease supply was utterly futile.

This, therefore, is unpossible.

Nasrallah rejects coalition allegations over killing of Hezbollah fighters in Yemen
[EN.ABNA24] Leader of the Lebanese resistance Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, dined the Saudi-led coalition allegations over the existence of Hezbollah fighters in Saada fighting alongside with the Yemeni army and the popular committees.

He said that what Saudi-led coalition media promoted about the killing of Hezbollah fighters in Saada is a lie and scandal for its militias in the western coast.

“There is no truth about the news aired by the Saudi-American aggression channels about the killing or captivity of Hezbollah fighters in Sa’dah” he said, adding “We do not deny and we do not prove the existence of Hezbollah fighters for us in Yemen, and there are no Hezbollah fighters there, Yemen does not need fighters.”

“We are proud to raise our heads if we have martyrs in Yemen and it is a shame that we do not provide the required assistance to the oppressed Yemeni people,” Nasrallah said.

He expressed his wish that he could participate in the western battles alongside with the Yemeni army and popular committees, saying: “I talk to myself when I see the great victories achieved by the army on the West Coast; I wish I was with you in this battle.

Nasrallah considered the West Coast battle of a great lesson, added to the great achievements in Lebanon, Palestine, and others.

I think this is an appropriate response to voting for a megalomaniac with a body guard dressed like Ottoman Turk and Janissary soldiers

India-Pakistan
Put back on terror-financing watch list, Pakistan vows to improve
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Placed back on a terror financing watch list this week, Pakistain vowed on Saturday to tighten regulations and follow an action plan to curb money laundering and terror financing.

Pak officials attending a meeting in Gay Paree had tried in vain to persuade the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to keep Pakistain off a list of nations with inadequate controls to prevent terror financing and money laundering.

Western allies have long pushed Islamabad to do more to curb turban groups on its soil, and the United States, United Kingdom, La Belle France and Germany all argued back in February for Pakistain to be reinserted on the watchdog’s "grey list".

Various anti-Western, anti-Indian Islamist turban groups are based in nuclear-armed Pakistain, while Afghanistan and western military officials have repeatedly complained about covert support in Pakistain for the Afghan Taliban
...Arabic for students...
and its cohorts, like the Haqqani group.

Pakistain was included on the watch list for three years until 2015, and FATF has told the government what needs to be done in order to be taken off again.

Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar, who is part of the technocratic administration running the country until a general election on July 25, told FATF members in Gay Paree that Pakistain plans to take a "whole-of-government" approach to strengthen counter-terrorism financing measures.

The finance ministry said Akhtar has set up an "institutional coordination and monitoring mechanism" to ensure that the action plan is implemented.

The return to a watch list could further handicap chances of attracting Western investment in Pakistain’s fragile economy, but it has China’s support for major infrastructure projects.

Nice to meet you Pakistan. YOU ARE OF MINE CONCERN.

I will use any interest to maintain the violence of whatever you are and what ever that is from becoming frankentalib.

Ergo, I label you FrankenTalib with nukes and we all know what I AM talking about.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Jordan army begins delivering aid to Syrians stranded near border
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Jordanian army began delivering humanitarian aid to thousands of displaced Syrians who took shelter near its border when major fighting broke out in southern Syria this month, a government spokeswoman said on Saturday.

"This is in line with Jordan's stance to help our Syrian brothers," Jumana Ghunaimat told the state news agency.

Several thousand Syrians had gathered near a closed border crossing earlier on Saturday pleading to enter Jordan, which closed its borders after the Syrian army launched a major offensive this month, uprooting tens of thousands of people.

Social media footage showed large crowds of civilians, many children and women thronged facing Jordanian troops and tanks stationed along the heavily sealed border with Syria.

Tens of thousands of the more than 160,000 civilians who have been displaced, according to UN figures, have given up on entering Jordan and have instead headed westwards to the Israeli border.
But Israel has already announced that their border will also remain closed, though they, too, have been handing out supplies.

#1  On October 5, 1877, his speech, as he [ Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe] surrendered to General Howard, immortalized him in American history forever:

"I am tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed. Looking Glass is dead. Toohoolhoolzote is dead. The old men are all dead. It is the young men who say, 'Yes' or 'No.' He who led the young men [Olikut] is dead. It is cold, and we have no blankets. The little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food. No one knows where they are — perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired. My heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever."

The Syrian Rebels could learn from this. Maybe, just maybe, we need more less "help" from the UN to end Wars.

Dozens of Palestinians activists protest in Nablus demands end of PA sanctions on Gaza
[EN.ABNA24] Dozens of Paleostinians activists marched through the streets of Nablus, to the north of occupied West Bank, demanding an end to the Paleostinian Authority (PA) sanctions imposed on the Gazoo Strip.

During the protest, the participants raised banners calling for lifting PA sanctions on Gazoo, reinforcing Paleostinian unity, and ending the internal division.

Earlier this month, thousands of people demonstrated in Ramallah’s main square after artists, journalists and activists issued calls to protest in solidarity with Paleostinians in Gazoo, where more than 130 persons were killed and thousands more have been injured by Israeli snipers since the Great March of Return began on March 30.

Other protests followed in Bethlehem, Beirut, and Amman to call for an end to PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas

ISIS used US, French-made equipment in east Syria -- SANA
[ALMASDARNEWS] Syrian government forces have found communications equipment made in the US and La Belle France, which were left behind by ISIS* fighters in al-Sukhneh Badia in the province of Homs, Syria’s SANA news agency reported.

The Syrian Arab Army has been conducting operations in Badia, clearing it of remnants of the ISIS terrorist group and preparing the region for civilians to return.

This is not the first time that Syrian media has reported that government forces have found Western-made arms and equipment in the possession of terrorists.

The latest such instance took place after the liberation of Douma, outside Damascus, when the Syrian army reportedly found chemical laboratories belonging to Lion of Islams.

According to a statement made by the Russian Defense Ministry last week, Lion of Islam labs for the production of chemical weapons had been stocked with equipment of European and North American origin.

Anti-money laundering body gives Iran until October to complete reforms
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] An international group that monitors money laundering worldwide said on Friday Iran had until October to complete reforms that would bring it into line with global norms or face consequences that could further deter investors from the country.

Tehran has tried to attract foreign investors after completing a landmark 2015 agreement with the United States, Russia, China, La Belle France, Germany and Britannia under which a number of sanctions were lifted in exchange for Iran agreeing to curbs on its nuclear program.

Iran has been trying to implement standards set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global group of government anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter financing of terrorism regimes (CFT), in the hope it will be removed from a blacklist that makes some foreign investors reluctant to deal with it.

"The FATF is disappointed with Iran’s failure to implement its action plan to address its significant AML/CFT deficiencies," the organization said in a statement after a week of deliberations in Gay Paree.

"The FATF urgently expects Iran to proceed swiftly in the reform path to ensure that it addresses all of the remaining items in its action plan ... we expect Iran to enact amendments to its AML and CFT laws ... in full compliance with the FATF standards by October 2018, otherwise, the FATF will decide upon appropriate and necessary actions at that time."

Maryam Rajavi: Regime overthrow is certain, Iran will be free
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iran’s opposition conference "Free Iran" headed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran started its annual forum on Saturday in Villepinte in Gay Paree with a brief presser by Maryam Rajavi, the head of the exiled council, during which she called for the "accountability of the Iranian regime and for supporting the popular uprising in order to overthrow the regime of "Wilayat al-Faqih."

Rajavi said spoke on the ongoing protests that first erupted in the areas surrounding Tehran’s Grand Bazaar and has led to a domino effect on other cities as well.

"The first thing that must be said today is that flames of the auspicious and liberating uprising are again rising in Tehran and across Iran: Again, Mashhad and Shiraz, Bandar Abbas and Qeshm, Karaj and Kermanshah, Shahriar, Islamshahr, Kashan, Arak, Isfahan, Ram Hormuz, and many other towns and cities," Rajavi said.

The President-Elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran headed by the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MeK), said that "Indeed, the uprising cannot be extinguished and will continue without respite, constantly expanding and deepening".
