Dr. Ben Carson: '€˜Take Control of Your Children, Protect Them From €˜Agitators'
[Breitbart] Likely GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson is urging "parents, grandparents and guardians to please take control of your children and do not allow them to be exposed to the dangers of uncontrolled agitators on the streets."
Much as I admire and respect Dr. Carson, he's living in a bubble and about three generations too late for such admonishments. The young 'MEN' pictured in the Breitbart article flashing gang signs might have been off to basic training and points beyond in 1969. Calling them 'children' is a convenient cover for action and bold faced lie.

#1  Cannon fodder will be cannon fodder. Too late to realize what the price is for pulling one party's ticket mindlessly for generations for 'gratification' instead of continuously playing all parties to get the best deal you can. BTW, if you hadn't notice, the Latinos have been moved to the seats in front of you. Google - ethnic cleansing Compton.

#2  all the news from america seems to be riots these days and all from aggreived black people who have a massive chip on their shoulder.

I don't doubt there is racism. I also don't doubt there is now a reason - not race but culture.

If you go round all day long thinking you're a victim and those bad white people have slighted you, and don't try to work hard and make something of yourself then you are going to end up one of life's losers.

Bring back the chain gang work camps arrest all the rioters and put them in.

When they have finished the term of imprisonment send them on their merry way with an implanon implant. That will sterilise them for up to 3 years. Give them time to think about whether they want a family and if they can afford children - and if they do to save enough money to provide for them - before they accidentally breed spontaneously and unplanned.

Family planning and small family sizes is a really great way to make stable communities with well-behaved kids.

But you really do need to get control of your police forces as well. There seems to be a lot of news that police are just shooting people and bashing without regard to the law. This has to stop. They must "protect and serve" not "rule and beat".

Hariga oil port running again after brief closure
A Greek tanker has loaded 700,000 barrels of crude oil at Tobruk’s Hariga port Thursday, the first to take on a cargo after guards forced the closure of the port.

Two tankers were turned away from the port earlier in the week after the oil export terminal was forced to shut down by striking guards who were demanding payment of their salaries.

The guards’ salaries are, said a source who wished to not be named, in Tripoli and scheduled to be transferred to the guards’ bank accounts in Tobruk in the next few days.

Hariga port engineer Rajab Sahnoun told the Libya Herald that during the strike the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) reduced production from 250 thousand barrels a day to 150,000 barrels a day, but that production should increase again now.

New helicopters delivered to Libya National Army
Four new helicopters gunships have been delivered to the Libya National Army. They are said to have arrived in Marj two days ago. The helicopters are Russian-made Mi-35s and said to have been delivered from the UAE.

The Mi-35 is an upgraded, night-attack, version of the Mi-24. The Russians have sold it to a number of countries, including Brazil and Venezuela, but there are no reports of them selling it the UAE.
They're used primarily for traffic reports...
The delivery follows the visit last week to the UAE by the commander of the Libyan armed forces, General Khalifa Hafter. A fortnight ago, the Prime Minister was in Moscow to discuss military cooperation and supplies of equipment and arms with the Russians.

It is not the only delivery of arms to the country in recent weeks, despite the UN embargo. The Libya Herald has been informed of other weapons being flown from the UAE to LNA forces in recent days.

Libya Dawn in Tripoli is also reported to have also taken delivery of new armoured vehicles and weapons recently.

Nayef named as new Saudi crown prince
[Iran Press TV] Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz has issued a royal decree relieving Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz of his position and naming Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the new heir to the throne.

Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir is also appointed as the new Saudi foreign minister, replacing Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud after four decades of service.

#3  Muhammad bin Nayef was appointed assistant interior minister for security affairs in 1999. He had been a businessman before this appointment.[14] He was widely credited for the success of the Ministry's counter-terrorism program.[15] He was also regarded as the architect of the government's counter-insurgency program.[16] He also served as the director of civil defense during his term as assistant minister.[17] He was considered to be an effective assistant interior minister.[18]

In 2004, he was appointed to the rank of minister, becoming number two at the ministry of interior.[7] In October 2010, he warned the U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser of the 2010 cargo plane bomb plot.[19][20] After the appointment of Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as interior minister upon the death of Prince Nayef in July 2012, Prince Muhammad became deputy interior minister.[4][21]

In November 2009, King Abdullah appointed Muhammad as a member of the influential Supreme Economic Council of Saudi Arabia.[22] This move was regarded as approval of the increase in then-Crown Prince Nayef's power by King Abdullah.[23] On the other hand, this appointment enables Prince Mohammed to extend his influence over the government's economy policy.[24]

On 5 November 2012, King Abdullah issued a royal decree and dismissed Prince Ahmed, minister of interior, from his office and appointed Prince Muhammad as minister.[4] He became the tenth interior minister of Saudi Arabia.[25] Prince Muhammad took the oath of office in front of King Abdullah on 6 November 2012.[26] His appointment was not regarded very positively by human rights activists due to Prince Muhammad's professional experience as a tough enforcer who imprisoned thousands of suspected troublemakers in Saudi Arabia.[27] However, he is regarded as less corrupt and less likely to personally abuse his power in comparison to other senior princes of his generation.[27]

Prince Muhammad met with David Cameron, British Premier, in January 2013.[28] Then he met with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C., on 14 January 2013.[29] They discussed issues of security and regional developments.[29] In late January 2013, interior minister Prince Muhammad announced that Saudi women would be allowed to work at the directorate.[30]

In February 2014, Prince Muhammad was made responsible for Syria, replacing Bandar bin Sultan, then intelligence chief of Saudi Arabia.[31] Muhammad was assisted in this effort by Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah, the minister of the Saudi Arabian National Guard.[32]

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki reportedly accused Saudi Arabia of playing a negative role in Syria, Iraq and other countries, saying "They are attacking Iraq, through Syria and in a direct way, and they announced war on Iraq, as they announced it on Syria, and unfortunately it is on a sectarian and political basis."[33]

Critical shortage of cybercrime experts
[ARABNEWS] Experts warned at a conference on Tuesday of a critical shortage of global specialists trained to confront increasingly malicious cyber security threats.

"Some reports say that we have globally less than 1,000 people who are truly qualified, whereas we need over 30,000 to address the problem," said Mark Goodwin, of Virginia Tech university in the United States.

"What we're seeing is cyber espionage and cyber sabotage that warrants that we have increasingly skilled people to address this threat," said Goodwin, deputy director of a university program that aims to address the shortage. His comments were made at a symposium on command and control and countersecurity organized by King Saud University with the Interior Ministry.

There is "growing complexity" to the maneuvers of cyberattackers, which reflects the need for effective intelligence, Gregoire Germain, director of information technology and security at French company Thales, told the forum.

Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mushari, assistant interior minister for technology, said: "The security of cyber systems is crucial for the safety of our country. So, fighting cybercrime is a prime responsibility of every citizen. This principle of citizen responsibility stems from the famous saying of the late former Interior Minister Prince Naif that the citizen is the first security officer in society."

He added that technology has dominated our lives as we make it, use it, and benefit from it. "But it has also become a target of suspicious use whether in the field of politics, business or social communication. So, the responsibility for security and safety of our society is on the shoulders of each of us."

Saleh Ibrahim Al-Motairi, general director of the Kingdom's National Cybersecurity Center, said: "We need a national framework for capacity building."

Bahrain detains 28 plotters
On Tuesday, Bahraini authorities said they had arrested 28 people who had been planning attacks in villages in the kingdom. The interior ministry did not name the detainees, say when they were held or elaborate on the nature of the planned attacks.

“The investigation interrupted and dismantled a number of terrorist operations planned in various villages,” state news agency BNA quoted the ministry as saying.

“The investigation included the tracking of individuals and the monitoring of their safe houses,” it added.

The ministry said some of those detained had already been convicted on terrorism charges in absentia and had been sentenced to life terms in jail, while others had had their citizenships revoked.

It said that cell was led by a bomb-making “specialist” and was testing car bombs, planning to attack security headquarters, soldiers and residential areas.

Nine other Saudis, among them a woman, were arrested for allegedly promoting “terrorist organisations” on social networks and trying to “lure young people” to send them to conflict zones, among other activities. They had threatened to bomb government headquarters and residential areas, and “used the woman in a failed attempt to lure a military official and assassinate him”.

Two other Saudis were arrested separately.

Bangladesh
AL leader bars Tribune reporter, offers bribe
[Dhaka Tribune] Ruling Awami League cadres are stuffing ballot boxes at one polling booth of RK Chowdhury College in Jatrabari in the capital.

Dhaka Tribune Special Correspondent Asif Showkat Kallol reported that the polling was going on normally in four booths, while the other one was taken over by the ruling party men.

Kollol said: "The local Awami League ward chief offered me money when I wanted to go see what was happening."

He said the ward leader barred him from visiting the booth.

Elections in three city corporations are underway amid vandalism and occupation of polling centres allegedly by the ruling party cadres.

Terming the ongoing city polls farcical, BNP has rejected the polls in the Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong City Corporations.

Voting at three polling stations under Suritola Model Primary School has been suspended following vandalism at the centre around 9:30am.

Journalists have allegedly been barred by police personnel from entering several polling stations in the capital.

Awami League men rig votes under police protection
[Dhaka Tribune] Like many polling centres of the capital, the Dhaka Tribune found that votes were being rigged at Shukrabad's New Model College and New Model Bahumukhi High School, while it was also observed that it was the police and not the polling officials who were managing the voting booths at Lake Circus Girls High School centre.

The casting of votes was suspended at several booths on the second floor of the New Model College centre in the afternoon, where Awami League supporters soon swooped in to stamp seals on the ilish symbol that represented AL-backed DSCC candidate Sayeed Khokon.

As they were busy, a number of police and Ansar personnel lined up in front of those booths, trying to obscure the illegal deed from the view of other voters and media workers; no polling agent of the BNP-backed candidate was present.

At the time, a Dhaka Tribune news hound found the centre's Presiding Officer Zafor Miah busy meeting some Awami League leaders in his room.

At the New Model Bahumukhi High School centre, the news hound entered a first floor room to find a woman polling agent of Khokon stamping the seal on ilish symbol.

In the Lake Circus Girls High School centre, police members were found managing the booths, while Ansar members assigned to guard the rooms were found sitting idly.

When asked about this, Presiding Officer Kamruzzaman immediately asked the coppers not to enter the booths as journalists were present there.

Polls descend into farce
[Dhaka Tribune] The much anticipated city polls ended yesterday amid a systematic manipulation of the election process by ruling Awami League activists.

Although largely peaceful, the election in all three city corporations -- Dhaka south and north and Chittagong -- was marked by widespread vote-rigging in the absence of polling agents representing the opposition candidates.

While the BNP withdrew from the polls, followed by the Jana Sanghati-backed Zonayed Saki, ruling Awami League leaders said the elections were fair and peaceful. The Communist Party of Bangladesh, which had fielded candidates, also rejected the elections later in the evening.

Ruling party leaders said the huge voter turnout and festive spirit were indicative of the fairness of the polls while the opposition parties rejected polls saying they were abjectly unfair and absolutely unacceptable.

They alleged that the ruling party activists and polling agents, in connivance with the police and cooperation of the election officials, did not allow oppositions' polling agents into the centres. As a result they were free to stuff ballot boxes.

BNP policymaker Moudud Ahmed, flanked by Dhaka North mayor aspirant Tabith M Awal and Dhaka South candidate Mirza Abbas' wife Afroza Abbas called the elections "farcical." He said the elections had become "meaningless" and was therefore withdrawing.

Saki said he had hoped despite all the foreboding that the polls would have a semblance of fairness. But since that was not the case, he rejected the polls.

EU Wants Iran to Play a 'Major Regional Role'
Despite being the leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran should play a "major role" in the Middle East according to EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini on Tuesday.

Boston Bomber was Drunk, High before Going Radical
[AnNahar] Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev smoked pot, partied and drank before turning radical, witnesses told the trial of his younger brother, who faces the death penalty over the 2013 attacks.

"Most of the time he was drunk, most of the time he was high," said Rugiero Franca, a Brazilian who lived with two roommates, a Russian and an Egyptian, near Tamerlan in 2008 and 2009.
No wonder his boxing career went belly up. What an idiot.
Tamerlan, he said Tuesday, came over three or four times a week, sometimes every day, to smoke marijuana in their basement. He would also drink and go clubbing with the other flatmates, Franca said.

Tamerlan once objected when Franca asked him to stop smoking and once he came home from work and found the three men in his bedroom "dividing drugs."

"I told everybody to get out," Franca said.

After leaving the area, Franca bumped into Tamerlan by chance on a street in Boston in 2012, wearing a beard and accompanied by his wife, Moslem-convert Katherine Russell, who was veiled.

"He asked me: 'you are not a Moslem yet?' I never expected he could ask me such a thing," Franca said, adding that Tamerlan had hardly ever discussed religion in earlier years.
Such discussions had to wait until he'd destroyed enough brain cells.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's crack defense team launched its bid Monday to save the 21-year-old from the death penalty, instead accusing 26-year-old Tamerlan of orchestrating the 2013 Marathon bombings.
So the argument is that the universally described bright kid let his druggie older brother do his thinking for him? Crack certainly seems to be the right word here...
The April 15, 2013 attacks killed three people and maimed 264 in one of the deadliest attacks in the U.S. since 9/11.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was convicted on 30 counts related to the bombings, the murder of a police officer, a carjacking and a shootout while on the run.

Tamerlan was rubbed out by police four days after the attacks, leaving his younger brother alone to face trial.
...After the bright kid drove over his spine, if I recall correctly.
- Jihad videos -
Expert Mark Spencer told court that in 2012, the elder Tsarnaev installed an encryption device on his computers, while Dzhokhar, who sat emotionless in court, did not.

In April 2012, Tamerlan's homepage was a picture of bloodied bodies lying on the floor. A note on Tamerlan's desktop in Russian called on believers to join Allah's "campaign."

The defense also showed video clips inciting violent jihad to the 12 jurors, the same panel who convicted Dzhokhar this month.

The sentencing phase of the trial will see the jury decide whether to condemn Dzhokhar to death or life without parole.

On his laptop, among the encrypted files, were photographs of him dressed in white, head covered, and of Islamist propaganda including copies English-language al-Qaeda magazine "Inspire."
Awwww, he was playing dress up.
In 2012, Tamerlan spent six months in Russia apparently looking to take part in jihad.
...But they didn't want him.
He spoke to his wife Katherine about fighters in Syria, sending her photos and video links.

She also researched on her own computer the compensation given to the wife of a "martyr," the trial heard.
Oh? From whom did she expect compensation, and did she get it?
Defense lawyers have portrayed an itinerant family history, a culture where authority stemmed from the father and older brother and a mother who was "a destructive force" in all around her.

It was a "nomadic" life of "turmoil" moving from Kyrgyzstan to Dagestan
...a formerly inoffensive Caucasus republic currently bedevilled by low-level Islamic insurgency, occasional outbreaks of separatism, ethnic tensions and terrorism, primarily due to its proximity to Chechnya. There are several dozen ethnic groups, most of which speak either Caucasian, Turkic, or Iranian languages. Largest among these ethnic groups are the Avar, Dargin, Kumyk, Lezgin, and Laks. While Russers form less than five percent of the population, Russian remains the primary official language and the lingua franca...
, before they settled in the Boston region in 2002.

After their parents, suffering from psychological problems,
With sons like that, can you blame them?
moved back to Russia in 2012, the court heard that Tamerlan became the only adult reference for his little brother.

He was "a good kid" who became "a lost teenager" and when Tamerlan began to "go off the rails, he pulled his younger brother" with him, the defense argued Monday.

Lawyers are expected to take two weeks to build their case.

Jurors have to agree unanimously on the death penalty, which applies to 17 of 30 counts on which he has been convicted, or else Dzhokhar will spend the rest of his life in jail.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Witness discloses more about hospital turned into death camp: Syria Torture
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] A defected nurse worked in Hospital 601 that was the scene of the crime of the atrocious photos of mass torture published 2014, reported to Zaman al-Wasl horrible facts about torturing detainees in the hospital, including children.

"Abo Sakhr" the nickname of the witness who worked as military nurse in Hospital 601 that based in Mezzah neighborhood of Damascus reported to Zaman al-Wasl that "Shabiha" used to bring detainees to hospital in miserable condition.

"For a year, detainees used to be put in the new hospital, as two rooms in each level were designated for detainees, later, detainees were sent to the Trauma department in the old hospital", Abou Sakhr said.

In mid 2013, 55,000 photos were taken in Hospital 601 smuggled out of Syria by a former Syrian military police photographer gave a glimpse of some of the abuses being committed in Syrian jails.

The digital images of 11,000 dead detainees showed emaciated bodies and the defector, identified only as Ceasar, described seeing corpses with "deep wounds and burns and strangulations.

The defected nurse mentioned that nurses and cleaners used to participate in torturing detainees in hospital, even compassionate nurses were prevented from giving detainees any medication or food. Nurses worked on transferring bodies of dead detainees to the mortuary as well.

Abo Sakhr mentioned that almost 90 detainees died a day, as they used to transfer around 30 bodies to mortuary during his 8-hours duty period.

In regard to cause of death among detainees who came to hospital, Abo Sakhr revealed that renal failure was the main cause which might have resulted from severe trauma and beating, or lack of food and fluid, which caused them severe lose of weight as well.

Other causes of death for detainees were infections they had because of contamination their wounds got from their urine and faeces, as they were tied to their beds and prevented from leaving them, so they had to urine and defecate in bed then their wounds became infected.

"When detainees died, Shabiha prevented nurses from wrapping their bodies with clean sheets, moreover, they used to step on them and messed them up, in the end bodies were sent to the mortuary, but in the uncooled part, as they were described as 'dogs' and did not worth putting with the soldiers", Abo Sakhr detailed.

The defected nurse reported a story of a 13-year-old child who was tossed in the clink
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
in Hajar Aswad under accusation of helping the rebels and transporting arms, he had a bullet in his foot, but as a result of neglect and lack of medication and clean dressing, his foot got infected and gangrened, then he needed amputation to above the ankle, but the wound got infected once again and he had to go through amputation reached to below the knee, to have the same result after a while then his wound infected again and his whole leg was amputated.

Our witness said that many nurses felt pity for the patients of detainees, but they were not able to do anything, as any worker in hospital got questioned if he was noticed of looking after a detainee. US denies Iran fired on US ship in Gulf
[AA.TR] A State Department official confirmed Tuesday that Iranian patrol boats fired on a fat merchantman in the Strait of Hormuz, but denied reports of Americans onboard.

"According to information received from the vessel's operators, there are no Americans aboard," the official told The Anadolu Agency.

Al Arabiya News Channel claimed Tuesday that Iran fired on a U.S. fat merchantman and directed it to the Bandar Abbas port on the southern coast ofIran. It also said as many as 34 American sailors are believed to be onboard.

But a Defense Department front man told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that the ship was not an American ship.

Iranian patrol boats fired at the bow of the Marshall Island-flagged MV Maersk Tigris and directed it to leave Iranian territorial waters, said Col. Steve Warren.

Iranian forces boarded the ship but there were no injuries reported, according to the colonel.

U.S. Navy Forces Central Command, or NAVCENT, directed the USS Farragut to patrol in the area closest to the location of Maersk Tigris, a Pentagon official told The Anadolu Agency.

The Navy also directed an aircraft to observe the interaction between the Maersk vessel and the Iranian navy patrol craft.

"NAVCENT is communicating with representatives of the shipping company and we continue to monitor the situation," he said.

State Department front man Jeff Rathke also touched on the incident during the press briefing.

Rathke said the vessel was "on an internationally recognized maritime route," when seized but he did not clarify whether the ship was in international waters.

He said the Navy was involved because of a security agreement between the U.S. and the Marshall Islands.

"The Republic of the Marshall Islands, they have not requested specific U.S. assistance, but we do have a security compact with them, so we pay close attention to that," he said.

After gaining military control of the Marshall Islands from Japan in 1944, the United States assumed administrative control of the islands under UN auspices following the end of World War II.

The Marshall Islands signed an agreement with the U.S. in 1983 and gained independence in 1986 with the accord that gives the U.S. authority and responsibility for security and defense matters that relate to the islands, including matters related to vessels flying the Marshallese flag.

Takfiris fighting proxy war for US, Israel : Iran defense minster
[Iran Press TV] Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist groups in the region are fighting a "proxy war" in the interest of the United States and Israel, Iran's defense minister says.

Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan made the remarks during a meeting with Syrian Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij in Tehran on Tuesday.

Dehqan said that "providing permanent security for the Zionist regime, weakening and disintegrating Moslem countries, altering the Middle East's map, countering the wave of Islamic awakening, and ultimately complete domination over this Islamic region" are the main objectives of this war.

He also reiterated Iran's full support for Syria in its battle against terrorism, saying that dialog is the only solution to the crisis in the Arab country.

"The people and government of Syria, with their unparalleled resistance made bullies understand that by exporting terrorists, arming and supporting them, and launching military attacks, they cannot force the region's Moslem nations to surrender," he added.

Dehqan went on to say that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
's war on Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
also runs parallel with the joint strategies of Israel and the United States, adding, "Undoubtedly the designers and executors of this sinister scenario... will not reach their ominous goals."

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fueled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 222,000 people, according to UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

ISIL executed over 2,100 people in Syria in 10 months: Monitoring group
[Iran Press TV] At least 2,100 people have been executed by the ISIL Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist group in Syria over the past 10 months, a UK-based monitoring group says.

The majority of those killed were Syrian civilians who were put to death by beheading, stoning, shooting, and immolation, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday.

At least 1,362 of those killed were civilians from Deir Ezzor, al-Raqqa, al-Hasakah, Aleppo, Homs and Hama provinces, 930 of whom belonged to the al-Shaitaat tribe in the eastern Deir Ezzor region.

ISIL also executed 137 forces of Evil from the al-Qaeda affiliated Nusra Front and other terrorist groups.

It also killed 126 of its own members for "exceeding the limits in religion and spying for foreign countries."

Some 529 Syrian government troops, captured during festivities with the holy warriors, were also killed.

Peshmerga depart Kobane
[ARA] Military sources reported on Tuesday that the fourth and last batch of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces left the city of Kobane after completing their military mission of backing Syrian Kurds against bandidos snuffies of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS/ISIS), and liberating the city as well as various areas in the countryside.

The Peshmerga forces played a central role in the liberation of the city of Kobane and its suburbs.

Brigadier General Talaat Saleh Zerari, commander of the Peshmerga, told news hounds in Kobane that Tuesday night the decision of the Peshmerga's return to Kurdistan Region of Iraq was issued by the Ministry of Peshmerga.

"We are returning tonight to the Kurdistan Region," he said.

"We have 124 military personnel, 12 of them are returning with the military vehicles, the rest are flying home to the Kurdistan Region by plane," he added, pointing out that they will return the military equipment in Kobane to the Kurdistan Region.

Subsequent to nearly seven months of combatting the IS hardline group in the Syrian Kurdish city and its countryside, the Kurdistan Ministry of Peshmerga has decided to bring its forces home.

The Peshmerga have fought alongside the People's Protections Units (YPG) in the predominantly Kurdish areas in northern Syria against jihadists who have been expelled from Kobane under the heavy blows of the Kurdish forces with the support of the U.S. warplanes.

According to activists, the departure of the Peshmerga from Kobane was precipitated by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's refusal to allow ammunition and fuel to be delivered across its border to the Peshmerga after its liberation, under the pretext that its agreement with the Kurdistan Region was only valid until the liberation of the city.

Kurdish journalist Rezan Hamo told ARA News that the Peshmerga departure from Kobane was also caused by the desire of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) --politicianship of the YPG forces-- "to hold power in Syria's Kurdish region and due to their apparent fear of a strong competitor like the Peshmerga in the region".

The war-torn city of Kobane was invaded by IS jihadists in September and most of the city was destroyed before its liberation by the Kurds last February.

Syrian regime at stake, Defense Minister in Tehran asking for assistance
[ARA] On Tuesday, the Syrian Defense Minister arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on an official two-day visit, in order to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries.

The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that Defense Minister Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij arrived in Tehran on Tuesday to meet with his Iranian counterpart and other military leaders in order to "strengthen the mutual cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism".

The state agency added that Gen. Freij will discuss with the military leadership in Iran the "common challenges facing the two countries and how to provide security and stability to their people."

Syrian political activist, Abed al-Fawal, told ARA News that the visit of the Syrian Defense Minister to Iran is to ask for more Iranian help in the military arean, "especially after the recent successive defeats of pro-Assad forces in the province of Idlib, northwestern Syria, which enabled the opposition forces for the first time during the conflict to link Latakia with Idlib and Hama."

"These last developments pose a major threat to the popularity of the pro-Assad forces, in the cities, towns and villages of the Syrian coast (where Alawites constitute a majority)," al-Fawal argued.

"Al-Freij will most likely ask Iran to provide the Syrian regime with Iranian military personnel and professional officers in order to fight the opposition forces in various areas of Syria, especially now that the regime is in dire need of highly qualified soldiers and officers after losing tens of thousands of fighters over the past four years," al-Fawal told ARA News.

It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Light of the Alawites...
has repeatedly denied the presence of Iranian fighters on Syrian soil fighting alongside his army, but acknowledged that there were Iranian advisers and officers providing logistical support to his forces. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
the Syrian armed opposition forces has released several videotapes showing confessions of Iranian and Afghan fighters (who were captured by the rebels) saying they'd been recruited by the Syrian regime to fight the opposition under the pretext of combatting terrorism.
