Interpol was not immediately available for comment.

Somali Woman Charged With Terrorizing North Dakota Neighborhood Previously Tied to Human Sex Trafficking Case
[PJMedia] A woman recently charged with making terrorist threats in a small North Dakota town claims she is innocent and being targeted because of her race and religion. But a local news station reports that not only has she been repeatedly charged with crimes in multiple states, she was previously tossed in the slammer
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
for her connection to a nationwide case of human sex trafficking.

Hawo Osman Ahmed, 26, is charged with a Class C felony of Terrorizing stemming from an incident last November 29 when she confronted three women from her Grand Forks apartment complex with a knife. According to a Grand Forks Police Department affidavit filed in the case, Ahmed said to the women "I'm going to bust all your tires on your car and windows," "Come over here I'm going to cut you," and "I'm going to slice your neck," all while holding the weapon.

In an interview last Thursday with Valley News Live, Ahmed claimed she is being targeted because of her race and religion.

"I feel like I'm a Moslem woman who's being attacked because I am a Moslem woman living in Grand Forks," she told news hound Joshua Peguero. "I turned myself in because I know I didn't commit the crime. I'm innocent and I know I can prove it."

But Peguero discovered through court records that Ahmed has been charged in a string of incidents in Iowa, North Dakota, and Minnesota, including third degree assault and giving a false name to a police officer. On September 11 of last year, Ahmed was charged with a Class A misdemeanor for violating a disorderly conduct restraining order.

Ahmed was also charged as part of a massive 2010 federal case of human sex trafficking involving three connected Somali gangs -- the Somali Outlaws, the Somali Mafia, and the Lady Outlaws -- who ran a prostitution ring in Minnesota, Tennessee, and Ohio. Twenty-nine individuals were charged in the original federal case. According to the FBI, the prostitution ring trafficked girls as young as 13 from Minnesota to Nashville and Columbus.

As the case was progressing, a pregnant Ahmed and two of her friends confronted a key witness in the human sex trafficking case at a shopping mall. Ahmed and the federal witness got into a fight, and the trio were later arrested and charged with witness tampering. Ahmed and her friends were acquitted in July 2013 after a police officer was found to have made false and misleading statements. None of the other subjects charged in the federal sex trafficking case were convicted due to the local police officer's misconduct.

Ahmed current has a federal lawsuit pending against the police officer.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Ahmed attended the University of North Dakota and studied nutrition. She has worked for Development Homes in Grand Forks, an organization that assists individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

A June 2016 local news article reported that Ahmed was chosen to receive a Habitat for Humanity home, but she apparently is still living in the apartment complex where the altercation and alleged threats occurred last November.

Her victims claimed that she was known for climbing onto apartment balconies and breaking into other apartments. She denied those claims in her interview last Thursday.

The Class C felony she is currently charged with carries up to a five-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

Federal Grand Jury Returns Superseding Indictment against Five Amalia, New Mexico Compound Defendants
The latest on the denizens of the Amalia, NM jihadi compound, raided when the FBI was looking for Abdul Ghani Wahhaj, the handicapped toddler kidnapped by his dad from his mother in Georgia. Abdul Ghani’s body was later discovered on the grounds. Eleven other children found during the raid on the compound were malnourished but in the process of being trained to be loyal little jihadis.
[DOJ] A federal grand jury sitting in Albuquerque, New Mexico returned a superseding indictment on March 13 charging Jany Leveille,
...Siraj ibn Wahhaj’s’s wife and a Haitian citizen who overstayed her visitor visa two decades ago...
36, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj,
...the leader of the group, also known as Siraj Wahhaj and Sirraj Ibn Wahhaj. Siraj [Jr.] is the son of Siraj Wahhaj [Sr.], a Brooklyn imam born Jeffrey Kearse, who was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Siraj Sr. also was a character witness in the trial of convicted terror plotter Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman (“the blind sheikh”), is connected the several branches of the Moslem Brotherhood in America, and mentors pussy hat leader Linda Sarsour....
40, Hujrah Wahhaj, 38, Subhanah Wahhaj, 36,
...Hujrah and Subhanah are Siraj Jr’s sisters...
and Lucas Morton, 41,
...Siraj Jr’s brother-in-law...
with federal offenses related to terrorism, kidnapping and firearms violations.

The announcement was made by Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers for the National Security Division, U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson for the District of New Mexico, Assistant Director Michael McGarrity of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and Special Agent in Charge James Langenberg of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office.

These defendants were previously charged by indictment on Sept. 11, 2018, with a conspiracy relating to the possession of firearms and ammunition by an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States. The original indictment also charged Leveille with possessing firearms and ammunition as an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States.

The superseding indictment charges all of the defendants with participating in a conspiracy from October 2017 to August 2018 to provide material support and resources, including currency, training, weapons, and personnel, knowing and intending that they were to be used in preparation for and in carrying out attacks to kill officers and employees of the United States, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2339A.

"The indictment alleges that the defendants conspired to provide material support in preparation for violent attacks against federal law enforcement officers and members of the military," said Assistant Attorney General Demers. "Advancing beliefs through terror and violence has no place in America, and the National Security Division continues to make protecting against terrorism its top priority."

"The superseding indictment alleges a conspiracy to stage deadly attacks on American soil," said U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson. "These allegations remind us of the dangers of terrorism that continue to confront our nation, and the allegation concerning the death of a young child only underscores the importance of prompt and effective intervention by law enforcement. I commend the FBI, DHS, ATF, Taos County Sheriff’s Office, and the Eighth Judicial District Attorney’s Office for their ongoing diligence and outstanding work in identifying and disabling imminent threats of targeted violence. PTI govt cannot be trusted with cracking down against banned organisations: Bilawal
[DAWN] PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday said he does not trust PTI with cracking down on banned
...the word banned seems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all...
organization
s while reiterating his demand that the government remove from the federal cabinet a trio of ministers who he accuses of having "long-held ties" with proscribed organizations.

"We doubt your intentions [of the promised crackdown against proscribed organizations] because you were allied with proscribed organizations [when you] fought elections," Bilawal said, referring to the ruling party.

"Everyone knows that three ministers in the cabinet have a long history with banned outfits. Until you remove them, we will keep doubting you," he said.

"One minister's video went viral on social media. He can be seen assuring them [leaders of a proscribed party] that 'we will not take action against you until our government is in place'.

"The other minister made inductions into the PTI from UN-banned organizations like HUM (Harkatul Mujahideen al-Islami) during the elections. He then said on the floor of the house that 'If you are speaking against banned outfits and the National Action Plan then that is against the country's interest.

"The third one not only has a long history of being associated with banned outfits, but he has also helped run bully boy outfits and training camps," the PPP leader alleged.

"Folks with this mentality should not be in the 'Naya Pakistain' cabinet," he said.

The 'viral video' Bilawal is referring to could possibly be one which features Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi giving assurances to a group of men.

In the video, which has been circulating on social media for quite some time, Afridi can be seen in the company of a group of men, one of whom briefs him about the authorities' plan to put the Milli Moslem League ‐ which had been the political front for the Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
‐ on a list of proscribed organizations.

To this, Afridi replies: "God willing, till we are in the assembly and till the PTI stands, no one can ... Forget Hafiz Saeed
...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat...
sahab, we will support whoever supports Pakistain and its [sovereign] right. This is our belief. It will be our request to you to come and sit in the assembly and see for yourself whether we [are the ones who] stand for the kalma-e-haq, or others do."

It bears mentioning that the government has stated as a matter of policy that it wishes to 'mainstream' bully boy groups by creating economic, social and political incentives to encourage them to give up violence as a way of life. This policy was unequivocally opposed by Bilawal in the National Assembly last week.

India 'disappointed' as China again blocks bid to ban Jaish chief Masood Azhar
[DAWN] India said on Thursday it was "disappointed" by China again delaying a bid to declared Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
(JeM) leader Masood Azhar a UN-designated global terrorist.

China had on Wednesday put on hold a request by Britannia, La Belle France and the United States to add Azhar to a UN sanctions blacklist which would subject him to a global travel ban, an assets freeze and an arms embargo.

China ‐ which has blocked three similar moves ‐ said it needed more time to examine the sanctions request targeting Azhar, and asked for a technical hold which could last up to nine months.

Seven NATO Countries Hit Spending Target
[AnNahar] Seven of the 29 NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
countries hit the alliance's defense spending target in 2018, figures showed Thursday, an improvement over the year but probably not enough to satisfy Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
NATO's 2018 annual report showed sharp rises in defense spending, notably in the Baltic states and the Netherlands but economic giant Germany still lags.

Apart from the U.S., six members hit the target of spending two percent of GDP on defense in 2018: Britannia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
Apart from the U.S., six members hit the target of spending two percent of GDP on defense in 2018: Britannia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

Though NATO countries have only promised to try to hit two percent by 2024, the failure of many to even get close to that has infuriated Trump, who has reportedly threatened to pull out of the alliance if the European allies does not boost spending immediately.

Germany, Europe's economic powerhouse, has come in for particular criticism and once again it fell well short of the target.

While German defense spending went up from $45 billion to $50 billion, the country's growing economy meant the figure relative to its GDP stayed flat at 1.23 percent.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Berlin's moves to increase its budget but insisted it must redouble its efforts.

"Germany has after years of cutting defense spending started to increase, and actually added a significant amount of money to the defense budgets," Stoltenberg told news hounds.

"But I expect more. I expect further increases and Germany has made it clear they plan to further increase defense spending."

Stoltenberg insisted in January that pressure from Trump had led to allies spending more.

The former Norwegian prime minister regularly points out that overall NATO defense spending is rising and that, by the end of 2020, allies will have added $100 billion since Trump took office in 2016.

"We face a paradox: At a time when some are questioning the strength of the transatlantic bond, we are actually doing more and in more places than ever before," he said on Thursday.

U.S. military spending dwarfs that of the rest of the alliance. In 2018 Washington spent nearly $700 billion on defense, compared with just $280 billion for all the European NATO allies combined.

Last month a report by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) showed that NATO's 27 European countries fell short of the two percent target by $102 billion in 2018.

The IISS said European NATO members would "collectively have had to increase their spending by 38 percent" to hit the two percent target in 2018.

NATO officials expected seven European member states to hit the target in 2018 but Romania fell just short on 1.92 percent because its economy grew faster than expected.

Stoltenberg confirmed on Thursday that he would accept an invitation to address a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress in early April as part of NATO's 70th birthday celebrations. NATO officials say it will be the first time an alliance secretary general has addressed both houses of Congress.

#2  Maybe Germany can reach into the cupboard and use some of the 60 billions we send them each year from our unfair trade agreements.

Just kidding, they need that money to spend on welfare for their people. If they had to shoulder their fair share of NATO, their country would collapse as the angry citizens vote the government out of office.

So we're left with the status quo, where they accept the security we provide but shit all over us for providing it.

Iraq
Peshmerga learn to identify, clear chemical weapons used by ISIS
Germany has been very active, as far as I can tell, about providing all sorts of military and non-military training to the Kurds in Iraq.
[Rudaw] Peshmerga officers in Erbil have completed a month-long counter-chemical weapons training course under the supervisor of the German military.

Islam Askandar Zebari, head of the Counter Chemical Regiment Command of the Peshmerga Ministry, said the aim of the training was to introduce the Peshmerga forces to the different chemical weapons and methods of delivery used by Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) bandidos turbans during the war.

"The 22 officers were from various brigades of the Peshmerga Ministry," Zebari said.

"Now all the departments, regiments, and brigades of the Peshmerga Ministry have specialized officers in chemical weapons."

"The training aimed at teaching them how to protect themselves from chemical attacks and also determine what kinds of substances are used in them," he added.

ISIS bandidos turbans attacked Kurdish Peshmerga on multiple fronts with mustard and chlorine gas, wounding dozens. Tests carried out by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) proved the group had used mustard gas against the Peshmerga.

The Peshmerga Ministry decided to establish the department in 2016 at the peak of the fight against ISIS, Zebari said.

The training session, which ended Wednesday, is the third of its kind since the department was founded.

Zebari said they will soon hold similar training for the Peshmerga’s party-affiliated 70 and 80 unit forces, Zeravani, and Defense and Emergency.

In the training, they used advanced tools such as the LCD3.3, a detector efficient enough "to detect toxic substances," Zebari said.

Amir Mohammed, a Peshmerga officer from Brigade 12 in the Peshmerga Ministry described the four-week training as "very, very important".

"They taught us how to protect ourselves, our people, and Kurdistan from the threats of chemical weapons," Mohammed told Rudaw English. "In the training we learnt about all the various types of chemicals."

"Kurds have in the past suffered from chemical attacks such as Halabja and the ISIS war."

Around 5,000 Kurds died and more than 10,000 were maimed when Saddam Hussein’s regime bombed the city of Halabja with chemical weapons in the spring of 1988.

Mohammed described how they were taught to use protective masks. Gas masks can protect the eyes and lungs, but normal military uniforms provide little to no protection, as mustard gas will penetrate clothing and be absorbed across any body surface.

The four-week course, which will soon be rolled out to other units and brigades, includes both classroom and practical sessions. Photo: Islam Askandar Zebari

Since ISIS attacked the Kurdistan Region in August 2014, igniting the war with Iraq’s Kurds, Peshmerga forces urged the international community to increase support. One country which has provided substantial military training is Germany.

Imran Muhsin, another Peshmerga officer who took part in the training, praised the German military personnel who supported their training.

"Germany played a pivotal role by supporting the counter-chemical department in the Peshmerga Ministry," he said.

"The type of weapons ISIS used, we did not have any information about. Now, we distinguish them and know what substances are used ... how to defuse them and end their danger," he added.

The German military has trained Peshmerga at its own facilities in Germany and has pledged to supply all units and brigades with protectives masks and outfits.

US drops 'Israeli-occupied' designation from Golan Heights
[The Palestinian Chronical] According to Hebrew-language news outlets, the US dropped from its annual report on the human rights situation any reference to the Palestinian territories or the Syrian Golan Heights as "occupied territories" as it used to be mentioned in former reports.

Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said in a statement that the US decision to drop the status of occupation from the Palestinian territories and the Syrian Golan Heights is "a continuation of the hostile approach of the American administration toward our Palestinian people and is contrary to all UN resolutions."

It is noteworthy that the Palestinian Authority (PA) has been boycotting the US administration since December 2017 when US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and then moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May 2018.

Iran hacked Benny Gantz’s cellphone — report

The hackers got a hold of Gantz’s personal details and professional texts and the Shin Bet agents told him that any sensitive information could be used against him in the weeks leading up to the election.

The agents told Gantz to proceed as he sees fit, suggesting that no classified information had been on the device in the first place.

In light of the Channel 12 report, Gantz canceled a campaign appearance scheduled for this evening.

Blue and White declined to comment on the details of the report, only saying that its timing, weeks before the election, raises questions.

Hamas security forces disperse rare protests against the group in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] A reporter says journalists were prevented from filming or taking pictures; protests call for improvement of quality of life in the Strip
A video of the activities can be seen at the link. Another brief video can be seen here.
Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,-run security forces broke up protests against the terror group in the Gazoo Strip Thursday, eyewitnesses said, cracking down on a rare public show of dissent in the coastal enclave.

Dozens of security officials, many in plain clothes, dispersed a demonstration in northern Gazoo, the eyewitnesses said. Dozens of people had been protesting there.

Journalists were prevented from filming or taking pictures at the protest, an AFP news hound said.

In a separate protest in central Gazoo, dozens of people demonstrated, including by setting tires on fire.

Hamas-run police front man Ayman al-Batniji said in a statement that "police in the area of Deir Balah dealt with a group of citizens who closed roads and ignited fires," referring to the protest in central Gazoo.

"The police have restored calm and order, and a number of violators were enjugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
The protests had been organized to call for an improvement in the quality of life in Gazoo, which suffers from high unemployment, widespread poverty and poor electricity and water infrastructure.

They were also seen as a challenge to the Hamas terror group, which has ruled the Strip since 2007.

A statement purporting to be from the organizers said the protests were non-political and against the rising cost of living and taxes in the Strip.

Videos posted on social media appeared to show Hamas security forces firing in the air to disperse the protests.

Social media posts were accompanied with the hashtag "We want to live" in Arabic.

The protests had ended by Thursday evening and the situation was calm, an AFP journalist on the scene and eyewitnesses said.

The Paleostinian Non-Governmental Organisations Network, which includes more than 100 charities, said in a statement it "strongly condemned the campaign of arrests and aggression that the security forces launched in Jabalia in northern Gazoo against the right of dozens of citizens."

It said the protesters were "gathering peacefully to demand an improvement in the life quality in the Gazoo Strip."

Hussein al-Sheikh, a close confidant of Paleostinian Authority Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
, expressed support for the protesters.

"Gazoo is rising up in the face of oppressors," he wrote on Twitter.

Cautious Calm in Ain el-Hilweh after Armed Groups Trade Fire
[AnNahar] Cautious calm was on Thursday afternoon engulfing the Paleostinian refugee camp of Ein el-Hellhole after an exchange of gunfire between two gangs, the National News Agency said.

NNA said Youssef Orqoub, the son of notorious runaway Bilal Orqoub, was seriously maimed in the clash.

It added that two other people were maimed, one of them Kamal al-Dawoudi, a bodyguard of the head of the Mujahid Islamic Movement Sheikh Jamal Khattab.

Al-Jadeed television meanwhile reported that "intensive contacts" were underway to contain the situation.

Earlier in the day, NNA said a group led by B.A. shot it out with members of the Islamist Usbat al-Ansar group after the Paleostinian Kh.Kh., who is loyal to Usbat al-Ansar, shot up Y.A., a son of the leader of the first group, wounding him in the stomach.

Thursday's incidents are linked to the clash that erupted two days ago according to NNA.

Two Paleostinian civilians were maimed in that incident.

50 Iranian drones conduct massive 'way to Jerusalem' exercise - report
[Jpost] The point of the drill is to showcase Iran’s military prowess. It comes in the wake of a large naval drill in February and frequent new tests of ballistic missiles.

Iran’s Defense Ministry announced on Thursday that it had launched a massive exercise involving 50 drones that are based on a US Sentinel drone the Iranians captured in 2011. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it was the strongest exercise of its kind to date.

Named "Beit al-Maqdis," a reference to Jerusalem, the operation was attended by the commander of the IRGC, Hossein Salami, and IRGC Aerospace Force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh. Fars News and Tasnim News both reported details of the operation, noting that, "for the first time, 50 Iranian drones on the RQ-170 [US Sentinel] model operated with a number of assault and combat drones."

It was the first time, Iran says, that so many drones operated simultaneously in an "offensive operation" at distances of more than 1,000 km away from each other. They trained to strike predetermined targets with "high precision." IRGC Ground Force commander Maj.-Gen. Golam Ali Rashid boasted that while the US has said Iran is failing 40 years after the Islamic Revolution, in fact "today we are witnessing the strongest maneuvers of the IRGC’s Aerospace Forces." Enemies would be "humiliated and feel shame," according to the statement.

Salami said he appreciated the power of the IRGC’s air arm and that it shows that despite US sanctions, Iran is achieving success. Tehran says that it has created an indigenous and advanced copy of the Sentinel. Iran has showcased two versions of these copies since 2016, but video from the "Jerusalem" operation on Thursday showed them being lashed to trucks for the exercise. It wasn’t clear why a drone needs to be launched from a pick-up truck, if it is an "advanced" drone. Claiming that the IRGC is at the forefront of modern UAVs seemed to be in contrast to the photos from the operation, photos that the IRGC itself had released. However,

Hajizadeh also pointed to drones that look like the US Predator MQ-1 as evidence that Iran has achieved results. The Shahed 129, first flown in 2012, is Iran’s copy of the Predator.

The point of the drill is to showcase Iran’s military prowess. It comes in the wake of a large naval drill in February and frequent new tests of ballistic missiles. Last year, Iran fired ballistic missiles at Kurdish opposition groups in Iraq and also at ISIS in Syria. It is flexing its muscles in the Persian Gulf and has allegedly supplied Houthi

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...

with advanced missile and drone technology.

Hajizadeh said that: "One of the features of this exercise is the power to design and plan co-flying UAVs in a very small geographic area that has brought about the rise of a new air power in Islamic Iran." According to the reports, the drones operated in several provinces in Iran.

Secret Mossad Files Show Underground Iran Nuke Facility Older Than Admitted
[Jpost] This discovery could be significant because it shows that Iran is still lying to the international community about a nuclear facility that has no reasonable use other than military.

New evidence disclosed in Iran’s secret nuclear files taken by the Mossad show that its underground Fordow nuclear facility is older than it has admitted, according to a think-tank report.

This discovery could be significant, says the Institute for Science and International Security, because it shows that Iran is still lying to the international community about a nuclear facility that has no reasonable use other than military.

The report says that photographs and documents it reviewed from the materials taken from Iran in January 2018 by the Mossad date the facility to as much as five years earlier than the Islamic Theocratic Republic has led the world to believe.

In 2009, the international community confronted Tehran with the fact that it had uncovered Fordow, which Iran had worked hard to conceal.

The catching of Iran red-handed building a secret underground nuclear facility at the time was the beginning of what rallied Russia, China and the UN Security Council to pressure the Islamic Theocratic Republic with sanctions.

Those sanctions eventually led Tehran to sign the 2015 nuclear deal.

As part of the deal, Iran was obligated to disclose all facets of its nuclear program that it had not previously disclosed or regarding which it had provided false information.

Iran indicated that the facility dated back to 2007.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
its secret nuclear files reviewed by the think-tank show that it may date back to as early as 2002, with extremely strong evidence that it dated back to at least 2004.

The report said that, "Iran’s determination to keep open this deeply buried enrichment site extended into the negotiations over the JCPOA [nuclear deal] and even today, despite the plant having no credible civilian nuclear justification."

It continued saying, "The Nuclear Archive raises again the deception of Iran about its past nuclear weapons activities and raises profound questions about the true purpose of this facility" in the present and when the deal’s nuclear restrictions expire in the future.

The think-tank slammed the international community for permitting Iran to continue to operate Fordow, saying that "speaks volumes of its failure to first determine and then ensure that Iran’s nuclear program is truly peaceful."

In an interview with The Jerusalem Post in January, the think-tank’s director, David Albright, said that there were 3,000 IR-1 centrifuges for enriching uranium at Fordow which could potentially be used to produce one to two nuclear bombs per year.

Like many issues with Iran, it is these ambiguities which also leave open questions about whether the Islamic Theocratic Republic could develop more nuclear weapons than expected and at a faster speed.
