[KhaamaPress] Security sources in the north of the country stated that the Taliban ...Arabic for students... gang-raped and shot a 16-year-old girl to death in Jawzjan province.
209th Shaheen Corps in a released statement said the incident happened on Sunday in Darzab district of Jawzjan province.
According to the statement, Talibs kidnapped the maiden of tender years and her parents two months ago.
Residents of Qush Tapah and Darzab districts of Jawzjan have gathered in a rally to protest and staged demonstrations against the incident, the protesters demanded the release of the girl’s parents.
They also demanded that the Taliban should hand over the teenager’s body to them
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
Jawzjan Province is located in the north of Afghanistan and is one of the most insecure locations in the country as the Taliban has a large influence over the area.

The incident comes amidst a sharp increase in violence in the country ahead of a key conference in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... that is expected to change the direction of the Afghan peace efforts.
Figures by security officials show that at least 26 members of Afghan forces were killed and 30 more, including four civilians, were maimed in separate security incidents in six provinces in the last 24 hours.
[KhaamaPress] In an unidentified gunmen attack on Tuesday one policeman was killed and another was injured in Kabul province.
Kabul Police told the media that the attack took place at around 08:50 am local time in the Chawk-e-Arghandi area in Paghman district of Kabul city, as gunmen opened fire at a police vehicle.
The incident is currently under police investigation, the attacked police officers were reportedly belonging to Maidan Wardak police HQ.
This comes as the National Directorate of Security in a released statement said that one of the masterminds behind the 2019 attack on Amrullah Saleh’s political party office was captured.
According to NDS Obaidullah who identified himself with fake identities like (Farooq, Bilal, and Ibrahim) was detained during a special operation in PD3 of Kabul city.
The suspected was reportedly planning to assassinate Selai Ghafar, a female advocate and civil society activist.
Obaidullah used to receive directions from Malavi Nik Mohammad, a Haqqani network leader, to carry out a suicide attack on First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh.
According to reports this insurgent sleeper cell also monitored movements of foreign forces, he currently had the order to carry out attacks on President Ghani’s convoys.
He also had received instructions to attack Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, former NDS head Rahmatullah Nabil, civil society activists, media workers, and prominent figures in Afghanistan.
These incidents come amid escalated violence in Afghanistan, media figures indicated that at least 26 members of Afghan security forces were killed and 30 others including civilians were injured in the different incidents in the past 24 hours.

[GatewayPundit] There was a shooting Tuesday in Maryland near the US Army Base at Fort Detrick.
The 38-year-old suspect shot two men before he was shot dead.
One victim remains in critical condition and the other victim is being treated and will be released from the hospital tomorrow.
The shooter was identified by authorities as 38-year-old Navy Corpsman Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet. He sounds like a New York City law firm. But really, what kind of a name is that?
"We can confirm that he is an active member of the Navy at the rank of E4," Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said during a presser. "He resides in the city of Frederick, not on the military base and his residence is in the 100 block of Willowdale."
An active shooter emergency at a Maryland business park near Fort Detrick on Tuesday morning left two male U.S. Navy sailors maimed, with one still considered critical hours later, and the suspect, a Navy Hospital Corpsman, dead, officials said.
Woldesenbet allegedly began shooting with a rifle inside a Navy-related business at the Riverside Tech Park, causing people inside to flee, Frederick police and Fort Detrick officials said at a news conference. Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said detectives are still trying to determine a possible motive.
Woldesenbet purportedly used a rifle in the shooting at a Navy-related facility in the office park, Lando said. No other weapons were believed to been found.
Brigadier General Michael J. Talley said Woldesenbet drove to the base after the initial shooting at the office park and sped past the gate before he could be searched. Talley said he made it about a half-mile into the installation before he was stopped at a parking lot. He then allegedly brandished his weapon at officers from the installation’s police force who had pursued him.
Talley said Sherlocks are looking at whether the shooter knew the victims, but refused to speculate, saying: "We don’t want to compromise any aspect of the investigation."
Fort Detrick is home to the military’s flagship biological defense laboratory and several federal civilian biodefense labs. About 10,000 military personnel and civilians work at the garrison, which encompasses about 1,300 acres in the city of Frederick.
Police had previously announced that they were "responding to an active shooter" on Progress Drive near Monocacy Boulevard. At approximately 8:20 a.m. local time, the shooter went into a business at the Riverside Tech park, about 4 miles from Fort Detrick, Lando said earlier Tuesday.
After the shooting, the suspect drove approximately 10 minutes to Fort Detrick, where he was killed by personnel there, officials said.

Police cordoned off Woldesenbet's garden-style apartment building in Frederick City, a few miles from the site of the shooting.
A neighbor, Ava Target, said she knew Woldesenbet only by sight, and that he lived on the top floor of the apartment complex with a wife and two kids. She wasn't aware of any problems.

The hospital corpsman who was killed at Fort Detrick, Maryland, on Tuesday after he allegedly shot two other sailors near the base had an unremarkable career in the Navy, according to his military record.
Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet, originally from Virginia, enlisted in the Navy in September 2012 and had served as a petty officer third class, or E-4, since June 2017, his Navy biography says.
Woldesenbet had been assigned to the Naval Medical Research Center at Fort Detrick since August 2019, according to his official record, which the Navy provided to Task & Purpose.
Before then, he served at Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and elsewhere, his record says.
For much of his time in the Navy, Woldesenbet was going through training. He was listed as a student while at four of his eight assignments after completing recruit training.
Most recently, he was a student at Fort Sam Houston and the Navy Medicine Training Support Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, before arriving at Fort Detrick.
His record does not indicate that he went on any combat deployments or received any significant personal awards.
Woldesenbet’s military decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Pistol (Marksman).

Anomalous Sources dear, this is typical fog of war stuff as we iterate our way to the truth. It could have been avoided if Brigadier General Michael J. Talley had just released the base’s file photo of the miscreant at yesterday’s press briefing instead of playing coy and waiting until today.
An Iranian cargo ship affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps was reportedly attacked off the coast of Eritrea in the Red Sea on Tuesday, according to the Saudi Al-Arabiya news outlet. The reports remained unconfirmed by any official source, but the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news reported that the ship was damaged in an explosion caused by limpet mines on the hull of the ship.
The United States Naval Institute (USNI) reported last year that the Saviz, while officially listed as a merchant ship, was likely a covert IRGC forward base. Tasnim confirmed this on Tuesday, saying that the ship had been stationed in the Red Sea in recent years to support Iranian commandos escorting commercial vessels.
According to the USNI, as of October 2020, the ship had barely moved from its location off the coast of Yemen for three years. The report stated that the Saviz may have been used to feed intelligence to Iran and the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen for a number of purposes, including to help them carry out strikes on maritime vessels in the area, with a number of strikes in recent years blamed on Iran and the Houthis.
The vessel reportedly showed up on independent ship tracking site MarineTraffic at about 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday before dropping off the map again at 9:44 a.m., according to social media reports.
The alleged incident, if true, comes after two strikes on Israeli vessels in the region and reports of dozens of earlier strikes carried out by Israel and Iran on each other's maritime vessels in locations ranging from the Mediterranean Sea to the Persian Gulf.
Late last month, an Iranian missile was reportedly fired at an Israeli ship between India and Oman, striking and damaging the ship. In February, Iran allegedly attacked the Israeli-owned cargo vessel MV Helios Ray, which was damaged by an explosion in the Gulf of Oman.
Additionally in March, Maariv, The Jerusalem Post's sister publication, reported that dozens of Iranian ships had been attacked by Israel throughout the Middle East, after The Wall Street Journal reported that a dozen Iranian oil tankers headed to Syria had been attacked by Israel.

Several Iranian news outlets showed images of flames and smoke billowing from a stricken vessel in the Red Sea, but the full extent of the damage or any casualties was unclear.
The Saviz, though technically classified as a cargo ship, was the first vessel deployed for military use that is known to have been attacked in the Israeli-Iranian skirmishes.
A social media account of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said the vessel had been deployed in the Red Sea for some time to combat pirates. The Tasnim news agency, the media outlet of the Revolutionary Guards, said the Saviz had been damaged by a mine that had been attached to the vessel.
There was no official Iranian confirmation of the attack as of Tuesday night, but several Telegram social media channels operated by members of the Revolutionary Guards blamed Israel for the earth-shattering kaboom.
Israeli officials had not commented as of Tuesday night, and as a matter of policy they seldom confirm or deny responsibility for actions taken against Iran. But an American official said the Israelis had notified the United States that its forces had struck the vessel at about 7:30 a.m. local time.

The shipment consisted of short and medium range rockets. It arrived in the Deir Ezzor countryside from an illegal border crossing with Iraq on Monday morning.
Three military vehicles, belonging to Iranian militias, and a car, belonging to the Fourth Armored Division, accompanied the shipment after it entered Syrian territories.
Sources from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said two trucks were unloaded at warehouses belonging to the Afghan Fatemiyoun Division militia in the western Deir Ezzor countryside.
The two other trucks made their way to the eastern countryside of the Raqqa province.
Local sources in Deir Ezzor said the regime’s security agencies were closely monitoring the activity of Iranian militias in the Alboukamal and al-Mayadeen regions. They were closely studying the new local recruits to the groups and locals who are collaborating with them.
Some two weeks ago, Syrian security forces arrested a resident of the town of al-Herri that is located on the Syrian-Iraqi border. He was detained in Damascus on charges of helping carry out attacks against Iranian militias in Alboukamal.
The detainee is among the most prominent collaborators with Iranian militias and is close to the regime. He is known for his smuggling operations across the border and his relations with armed factions that control eastern parts of Syria. He had also cooperated with ISIS before Iranian militias swept in their place.
Iranian militias are deployed in the Deir Ezzor countryside west of the Euphrates. The Kurdish-Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are deployed east of the river. The Iranian militias boast some 15,000 fighters from different nationalities.
