‘Freed Taliban Prisoners Arrested Again’
Really, it was inevitable.
[ToloNews] Some Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
members have said that the Afghan government has "rearrested or raided the homes of at least ten members" of the group who were recently freed as part of the peace deal between the Taliban and the US.

Freed members of the Taliban have said that their leadership ordered them not to return to the battlefield, but the Afghan government claims that some of these Taliban fighters have resumed military activity.

Qari Saifurrahman, a Taliban member who was recently released from the Afghan government’s custody and has rejoined his family in Pashtun-infested Logar province, said that he had been ordered not to return to the fight.

"Our amir (Taliban’s supreme leader) ordered us not to return to war, so we are respecting his instruction," said Saif-Ur-Rahman, a former Taliban commander.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
Mohammad Sediq said that his son was a Taliban fighter who was recently released from jail in Bagram district but was allegedly taken back into custody by the Afghan government.

Sediq's son, Shams-Ur-Rahman, was rearrested by Afghan government forces after he attended a ceremony at a madrasa in the village of Qala Nasrawi in Parwan's Bagram district, said Sediq.

"He spent five-and-a-half years in jail but was freed based on the Taliban list. He was on the way home, he was not on the battlefield, but he was rearrested," said Mohammad Sediq, father of Shams-Ur-Rahman.

Six were arrested and fined for violating public health orders in Sydney, Australia at an illegal Black Lives Matter rally
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
This is how you keep the situation from getting out of control.
In the end, Sydney’s contentious Black Lives Matter rally culminated not with a bang but a whimper, with few protesters following through on threats to defy a court ban and proceed with an illegal protest in the city’s CBD.

Six people were arrested or fined — including rally organiser Paddy Gibson — as police cracked down on the few activists who breached public health orders by gathering under dark clouds in The Domain parklands on Tuesday afternoon for the Black Lives Matter demonstration.

Almost 4000 people had indicated on Facebook they were interested in attending the illegal rally in the Sydney’s inner-city, yet only about 40 turned up on Tuesday.

Five of the arrested six people — three men and three women — were fined $1000 for breaching the public health act and issued with move-on orders.

Mr Gibson was removed from The Domain by police and dragged to a waiting van after he attempted to speak to a police officer who was holding a megaphone.

As Mr Gibson was being led away, he urged the crowd to disban, shouting "leave now, leave now, don’t come near me, disperse the crowd."

Moments after being released from police custody with a $1000 fine, Mr Gibson was rushed into State Parliament through a back entrance by Greens MP Jenny Leong.

Police had sought a prohibition order for the rally organised by the family of Aboriginal man David Dungay jnr, who died in jug in 2015 after he was held down by corrective officers while gasping "I can’t breathe".

NSW Assistant Police Commissioner Mick Willing said the activists had been warned "over and over again" not to proceed with the protest amid concerns it could lead to an outbreak in COVID-19 cases.

"How many times we’ve had to warn people is beyond me," Commissioner Willing said. "We are not anti-protest. Just don’t do it in the middle of a pandemic, quite simple.

"Over the last 24 hours, we said time and time again, do not turn up. At the end of the day, we are in the middle of a pandemic.

"The Supreme Court judge himself described the current situation in NSW as being on a ’knife’s edge’."

Aboriginal woman Vanessa Turnbull-Roberts was briefly detained by police after she attempted to ask officers why they had apprehended Mr Gibson.

Ms Turnbull-Roberts was also fined $1000 but vowed to contest the fine in court after accusing police of only fining "black people".

"I will definitely be contesting the fine," Ms Turnbull-Roberts told The Australian.

Another man, who was also issued a $1000 fine, tore it up in front of the media and said he would take the matter to court.

On Sunday, police were granted a prohibition order for the rally by the NSW Supreme Court.

That decision was upheld by the NSW Court of Appeal on Tuesday who found the earlier decision by judge Mark Ierace to prohibit the public assembly was "admirable and detailed".

While the prohibition order did not ban the rally, it meant protesters faced possible arrest and criminal charges for breaching public health orders.

An inquest last year into Dungay Jr’s death did not recommend criminal charges after a coroner found the prison officers were not motivated by "malicious intent".

Germany Arrests Lebanese-German Woman Accused of Joining IS in Syria
Another one, plus a spare bro-in-law.
[IsraelTimes] German authorities have arrested a woman accused of traveling to Syria with her four young children to join the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group, as well as her brother-in-law, who is accused of helping her.

The federal prosecutor’s office identifies the pair only as Fadia S. and Rabih O., in line with German privacy rules. It said both are dual citizens of Germany and Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, and they were arrested in Essen and Hildesheim respectively.

Fadia S. is accused of offenses including membership in IS and gross violation of her parental duties. Rabih O. is accused of supporting IS and violating German export laws.

Prosecutors said Fadia S. traveled to Syria in 2015 to join her husband, who had previously left Germany to join IS. She took her children, then aged 3 to 8, and the family allegedly lived in accommodation in the IS stronghold of Raqqa that the group had commandeered.

As the territory held by IS shrank, Fadia S. and her by-then five children fled to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
in early 2018 and returned to Germany, prosecutors said.

Rabih O. is accused of giving his brother a variety of financial and logistical support and of helping Fadia S. travel to Syria to join him.

Fifth Column
Man, 32, who 'set fire to Portland's police headquarters' during the city's riots is arrested after cops spotted his name tattooed on his back in security footage
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, was charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to the Justice Center in downtown Portland on May 29

  • Authorities say he was among a group of 30 protesters who broke into the facility which houses the Multnomah County jail and Portland Police Bureau HQ

  • He was identified by a comparison with a jail booking photo and a distinctive tattoo of his last name across his upper back, federal authorities said

  • Photos from that night's protests show a shirtless Schinzing marching with a crowds, with his tattoo visible
Once we have enough of the cannon fodder — and their cell phones — the leadership cadre will start appearing in the networks.

Two women charged with beating Wisconsin lawmaker during protest
[NYPOST] Two women accused of assaulting a Wisconsin state senator as he took photos of a crowd that toppled two statues during a protest last month have been arrested, police said.

State Sen. Tim Carpenter, a Democrat from Milwaukee, was attacked in Madison on June 24 as he pointed his phone at a group of protesters who tore down two statues on Capitol grounds. He was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head and later required surgery for his wounds, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

"I don’t know what happened ... all I did was stop and take a picture ... and the next thing I’m getting five, six punches, getting kicked in the head," Carpenter told the newspaper last month.

Two people within the "angry mob" that allegedly attacked Carpenter, identified by police as Samantha Hamer, 26, and Kerida O’Reilly, 33, both of Madison, surrendered to cops Monday. Both are now facing charges of substantial battery as a party to a crime and robbery with use of force as a party to a crime, police said Monday.

"Thanks to help from the community, the case detective was able to identify the two persons of interest," police said in a statement. "Both turned themselves in today."

Monday’s statement did not identify Carpenter by name, but Madison police said a politician reported to cops that he decided to use his phone to capture the protests just before he was assaulted.

"As he did, three people rushed toward him, saying something about his phone," police said. "One knocked it out of his hand. He said he was then sucker punched. He fell to the ground and was battered by several people."

A nearby news hound told police roughly 10 people proceeded to kick and punch Carpenter as he "tried to explain" that he was an ally to the demonstrators, police said.

22 people facing federal charges in connection with Portland protests
[NYPOST] Twenty-two more people have been arrested and charged over their alleged roles in Portland protests, federal prosecutors announced Monday.

The charges of criminal conduct were in connection to demonstrations outside the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse between July 23 and early on July 28, U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams said.

The protests, which began after the May 25 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, "have been followed by nightly criminal activity including assaults on law enforcement officers, destruction of property, looting, arson and vandalism," his statement read.

Two of the protesters, a man and a woman in their 30s, are accused of assaulting federal officers during a demonstration that started Thursday night and lasted into Friday morning.

Four others, including an 18-year-old man, are charged with failing to obey lawful orders at the same protest.

Ronald Bernard Hickey, a 44-year-old from Canada, was charged Friday for allegedly harassing and stalking federal agents deployed to Portland in response to the protests.

Prosecutors allege he released the personal information of the agents on his Twitter account in order to threaten, intimidate or incite violence against them.

At a protest overnight Saturday, seven people were arrested for allegedly assaulting federal officers and one person was charged with operating a drone in restricted airspace.

During a demonstration the next night, seven more people were accused of assaulting federal officers.

Federal prosecutors have announced charges against at least 27 other people in connection with the protests since the beginning of July.

‘Outlawed’ armed groups ‘seeking chaos’ at Baghdad protests: interior ministry
Are Iranian agents still pulling some strings in this thing, or has it become self-feeding?
[Rudaw] Iraq’s interior ministry has called on protesters in Baghdad to cooperate with authorities to identify the "outlawed" gangs which aim to create chaos in Iraq.

In an official statement published by Iraqi state media on Tuesday morning, the ministry accused gangs of being behind the death of two protesters and injury of several others near Baghdad’s Tahrir Square on Sunday.

"Our security units monitored the situation, and in light of the preliminary investigation results of the events of Sunday night, we observed that dangerous criminal groups in Tahrir Square are seeking to create chaos by beating protesters within the crowd and fabricating festivities," the statement read.

TLV protest on police brutality turns into violence between demonstrators
I'm posting it here because it's where Antifa/BLM are posted - and, as always, our monkeys imitate yours.
Agreed. One wonders if the same people who are paying our monkeys are also paying yours, as they’ve been doing for some years.
[JPost] - Hundreds of people gathered in Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening to protest against police brutality and Public Security Minister Amir Ohana's attempts to prevent protests from taking place outside of the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Jerusalem.
Actually, what Ohana said is that they should protest in capsules to avoid spreading Covid.
...As the protest progressed into the night, some of the protesters started marching on the Ayalon highway, towards the Azrieli intersection, which led police to blocking it and dispersing protesters.

Some signs carried by protesters read "Ohana - We have the right to protest!" and "I won't stay silent as my country changes."
Practically a conservative, except last month he marched against annexation. And last year against not having transgendered toilets.
...At some stage, according to the protesters, far-right activists from "La Familia" infiltrated the crowd with the alleged intention of harassing the demonstrators, which later turned violent.
The Hebrew text over the pic of the spectacularly bloody, half dressed protester (note no blood on the bandanna) says "Police should protect protesters, and only then worry about dispersing them"
...Oz, an eyewitness at the scene, said to N12 that "I was there and I saw the group slowly approaching us. They wore black bandanas, and I knew something was about to happen. We were subjected to violence. I ran after them, yelled at them and asked police for help, but they did not budge. It's dangerous to be a protester in Israel."
Instead of being a popular entertainment like elsewhere?

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran shows video of troops attacking fake US carrier in drill
For your amusement, dear Reader.
[IsraelTimes] Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard fired a missile from a helicopter targeting a replica US aircraft carrier in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reports.

Footage shows Iranian commandos fast-rope down from a helicopter onto the replica. Other footage shows fast boats encircling the mock-up, kicking up white waves in their wake.

Iranian troops also fired anti-aircraft batteries at a drone target in the exercise from a location that state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
described as being near the port city of Bandar Abbas. Troops also fired missiles launched from trucks on land and fast boats at sea, as well as shoulder-fired missiles.

The Guard will use "long-range ballistic missiles with the ability to hit far-reaching aggressor floating targets" during the drill, says Abbas Nilforoushan, the Guard’s deputy commander for operations, according to Guard website sepahnews.com. That suggests the drill could see a repeat of what happened in 2015, when the Guard mock-sunk a replica.

It wasn’t immediately clear if all the footage was from Tuesday, as one overhead surveillance image that appeared to be shot by a drone bore Monday’s date.

But hey, let them waste time shooting at plywood that doesnt move or shoot back. I guess its the IRG's version of coaplay

#6  if this is the Deir Ez Zor in Syria then this tweet doesn't make sense

the IRGC have a minor presence there

there some scattered ISIS adherents around but not a threat that would require heavy weapons

besides all that the heavy weapons would need to travel through hundreds of miles of Iraq

is there another Deir Ez Zor closer to Iran
