Pentagon set to send 300 more troops to Mexico border, some in contact with migrants
[AlAhram] The Pentagon said on Friday that it expected to send about 300 additional troops to the border with Mexico including roughly 100 cooks who would hand out meals, breaking with past policy to avoid troops coming in contact with migrants colonists.

The move is the latest sign of a growing U.S. military support role for President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
's politically charged immigration policies.

Earlier this month, Trump said he would have to mobilize more of the military at the U.S. border with Mexico after listening to stories about migrants colonists crossing the border from people attending a Republican fundraiser.

The Pentagon has previously said there were no plans for U.S. forces to interact with migrants colonists as they support border agents dealing with illegal immigration.

In addition to the cooks, the Pentagon is expected to send 160 drivers and 20 lawyers, Pentagon front man Charlie Summers said.

"We will have some of our troops handing out meals, therefore would come in contact with migrants colonists," Summers said. He said it was an "amendment to the current policy."

There are currently about 5,000 active-duty and National Guard troops near the border, though that number fluctuates.

205th Corps adventures in Zabul: 53 Talib hostages rescued, Talib big turban toes up, 3 Talibs self-boom

Afghan forces rescue 53 hostages from a Taliban prison in Zabul province

[KhaamaPress] The Afghan security forces have rescued 53 hostages from a Taliban prison in southern Zabul province, the Ministry of Interior officials said.

Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said the operation was conducted by Special Forces in Daichupan area of the province.

According to Rahimi, at least 8 militants were also killed during the same operation.

Rahimi further added that 4 Commandos of the Afghan army and 4 police soldiers were also among those rescued during the operation.

Taliban Commander killed in an operation of the Afghan-coalition forces in Zabul

[KhaamaPress] The Afghan military in the south has confirmed that a Taliban commander identified Abdur Rahman was killed during an operation of the Afghan and coalition forces in southern Zabul province.

The 205th Corps spokesman has confirmed that a Taliban Commander operating out of Shah Joy District of Zabul Province has been killed yesterday. Abdur Rahman was known to have operated in the areas of Shah Joy and Qalat as a weapons and IED facilitator. He was assumed to be responsible for attacks as recent as this month.

The operation to eliminate the Taliban commander was a joint effort by the 205th Corps and the coalition forces and was ultimately killed by a precision airstrike with no civilians in the area.

The 205th Corps have increased their security operations in Zabul as a way to eliminate future violence and attacks by the Taliban.

“We call on the Taliban to reduce the violence and work towards peace,” was the message sent to the Taliban by the 205th Corps as an effort to appeal to them to stop offensive operations.

3 Taliban blow themselves up in Zabul Province

[KhaamaPress] The 205th Corps confirmed Taliban operating in the Safa District of Zabul Province were attempting to move roadside bombs which accidentally detonated and blew up three Taliban and wounded an additional three.

The 205th Corps also stated that their engineering team in Zabul found and destroyed 12 mines in the Safa district which were intended to be used against security forces as they traveled through the area.

The use of roadside bombs is a common practice used by the Taliban against Afghan forces but unfortunately residents in the area are usually those who fall victim to these tactics.

Huge crowd floods Khartoum, demands military cede power
[DAWN] KHARTOUM: Tens of thousands of protesters converged from all directions on Sudan’s army headquarters Thursday after calls for a "million-strong" demonstration to demand the ruling military council cede power.
tens of thousands < million, mkay?
The day after three council members resigned following talks with protest organisers, demonstrators flocked towards the central Khartoum site on Thursday evening, beating drums and singing revolutionary songs, said a journalist at the scene.

"We want the military council out. We want a civilian government," said protester Adam Ahmed, a medical student.

The rally came after Sudan’s new military rulers and protest leaders agreed to set up a joint committee, to chart the way forward two weeks after the ouster of veteran president Omar al-Bashir
Head of the National Congress Party. He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself president-for-life. He has fallen out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it.
The Alliance for Freedom and Change, an umbrella group leading the protests, had called for a million-strong march to "continue to protect our revolution and to ensure that all our demands are achieved".

Also at the protest were dozens of judges, dressed in their robes, who had marched from the constitutional court, a photographer said. "We are here to give a message that the judiciary should be independent without any political intervention," a judge told journalists.

Egypt heightens security ahead of Coptic Easter
[AlAhram] The Egyptian authorities have stepped up security measures around churches and state institutions ahead of Coptic Easter, which falls this weekend.

The interior ministry said in a statement on Friday that it has intensified the security presence in main roads and vital areas around the country, and that checkpoints will be deployed around churches and major buildings, which will also be cordoned off by police to "maintain public order" and immediately deal with any attempt to disrupt the celebrations.

Security patrols will be sent out and rapid deployment and intervention forces will be deployed to secure major areas, the ministry added. Female police personnel will be involved in the inspections.

Authorities are also increasing security measures and inspection points at Cairo's underground metro and at railway stations during the holiday period.

Easter in the Coptic Orthodox Church falls on Sunday; it was celebrated in the Roman Catholic church and many Protestant churches on 21 April.

Egyptians also celebrate the non-religious springtime holiday of Sham El-Nassim on the Monday after Coptic Easter.

Coptic Easter Sunday and Sham El-Nassim are both public holidays in Egypt.

Egypt's Christian minority make up around 10 percent of the country's 98 million population. The majority of Egyptian Christians are members of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Haftar-led Libyan Army captures key area en route to Tripoli
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Libyan National Army (LNA) scores an imperative advance this evening after a fierce battle with the rival Government of National Accord (GNA) forces.

Backed by heavy Arclight airstrikes, the forces loyal to Benghazi-based Field Marshal General Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
managed to crack the GNA’s lines in the al-Aziziyeh area, forcing the latter to retreat north towards Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
The withdrawal of the GNA forces from al-Aziziyeh ends the week-long battle for the area and puts the LNA in position to make a big push to reach the southern outskirts of Tripoli city.

Earlier this week, the LNA announced the second phase of their Tripoli offensive, which is also expected to be the last part of their capital city campaign.

Should the GNA lose Tripoli, they will be forced to withdraw to the coastal city of Misrata, which has long been a stronghold for their forces.

...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
to halt the battle of Tripoli; however, with the LNA inching closer to the city each day, it is very unlikely that forces loyal to General Haftar will end their campaign.

Lastly, with support from Russia, La Belle France, Egypt, and the UAE, the LNA has the diplomatic sources to counter the nation’s opposing their offensive.

Five Accused of Murdering Palestinian Boy (from Lebanon) in Belgian Asylum Centre
[AnNahar] Belgian authorities on Thursday charged five Paleostinian men with the murder of a nine-year-old Paleostinian boy at an asylum-seekers' centre near Belgium's northern port city of Antwerp.

Officials said the boy, who had been staying with his mother in the Broechem centre, went missing late on Monday before a search turned up his lifeless body in a ditch on Wednesday.

The Antwerp's prosecutor's office said the five had been charged with the boy's murder.

"The facts are qualified as hostage-taking and murder," the prosecutor's office in Antwerp said in a statement without confirming a news report the boy may have been kidnapped for ransom.

The accused are aged between 19 and 34, the prosecutor's office said, with front man Kristof Aerts confirming they were Paleostinian.

The boy's uncle, Bassem Chihadeh, told Phlegmish TV channel VTM he was found dead with "his hands and feet tied".

He suggested the child had been the victim of a kidnap for ransom attempt explaining that after he disappeared the family received a WhatsApp message demanding 100,000 euros ($111,000) .
Why would someone with access to such a large sum be living in an asylum center instead of somewhere safer?
The boy, born in Leb but of Paleostinian origin, had been staying with his 26-year-old mother in the Broechem asylum centre when he disappeared on Monday evening, Aerts said. He was last seen riding his bike.

A source close to the prosecution told AFP that statements that the accused have given Sherlocks "are not clear" and none of them has confessed.
Surely asylum ought only to be granted to those who are properly grateful and well-behaved. There are plenty of Belgians to handle the vicious criminality line — no need to bring in outsiders to do the work.
Belgium, a country of about 11 million inhabitants, receives about 20,000 asylum seekers annually, many of whom come from conflict areas in the Middle East, according to the Fedasil asylum seekers' reception agency website.

has indicted a third U.S. Consulate employee and his wife and daughter on charges of membership of a terrorist group, according to a copy of the indictment seen by Rooters, a move likely to further strain ties between Ankara and Washington.

Nazmi Mete Canturk, a security officer at the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul, and his wife and daughter are accused in the indictment of links to the network of Fethullah Gülen

, the U.S.-based Moslem holy man blamed by Ankara for a failed 2016 coup.

A Ottoman Turkish prosecutor is seeking jail sentences for all three on charges of membership of an armed terrorist organization, according to the indictment, which was completed on March 8 but has not been made public.

It says Canturk was in contact with dozens of individuals under investigation for being members of Gulen's network and that "evidence has been obtained regarding the suspect's actions in line with the instructions of the (terrorist) organization".

Canturk, his wife and daughter are cited in the indictment as denying the charges.

Turkey detains 115 soldiers over Gulen ties: state media
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish police on Friday detained 115 soldiers suspected of ties to the group blamed for a 2016 coup attempt, state media reported, the latest arrests in a massive crackdown.

The detentions came after the Istanbul public prosecutor issued arrest warrants for 210 active duty soldiers including five colonels, state news agency Anadolu reported.

Officers detained 55 suspects in Istanbul, 60 suspects elsewhere, Anadolu said, without giving details about the remaining individuals.

PLO Terrorist Who Became US Citizen Faces Deportation
[Jpost] Vallmoe Shqaire obtained US citizenship in 2008 but never told authorities he was convicted by Israel of trying to blow up a bus.

Paleostinian terrorist Vallmoe Shqaire was sentenced on Friday by a Los Angeles court to nine months in federal prison to be followed by deportation to Jordan, after it was discovered that he lied about his past in order to obtain US citizenship, according to a report from CNN.

The case was reminiscent of that of Rasmea Odeh, who succeeded in obtaining US citizenship even though she had been imprisoned by Israel for her role in two terror bombings, one of which killed two people.

The judge in Shqaire's case questioned how he was able to even enter the United States. Shqaire first came to the US in 1999, and federal authorities did not become aware of his terrorist background until after 2010. This means that authorities were unaware that a terrorist was living in the US for over 10 years, and that it took nearly a decade after his past was discovered before he was finally locked away
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
Assistant US Attorney Annamartine Salick, the prosecutor for the case, said that information-sharing between countries was not as efficient at the time, which probably hindered the vetting process.

According to Salick, it took two years of work with Israeli officials to find records of Shqaire.
They probably had to check all the possible permutations of his name in English, Hebrew, and Arabic...
Documents from the court file of Shqaire, a Jordanian-born Paleostinian, indicate that he was trained by the Paleostinian Liberation Organization in the use of rifles and grenades, as well as in bomb-making.

Shqaire and an accomplice tried to blow up an Israeli bus in 1988, according to the court records, though while they managed to detonate a bomb within range of a bus, the attack did not cause any injuries.
How embarrassing! And then to be jailed, lose his American citizenship, and be sent back to the country he left so many decades ago for something he failed to accomplish? Utterly mortifying.
He was later caught by Israeli forces and given a ten-year prison sentence in 1991, but released after four years following agreements as part of the Oslo peace accords.

Shqaire would go on to assert that his confessions were coerced by the IDF as he was beaten during interrogations, and was subjected to alternately freezing or extremely hot showers and made to live in a small cell where it was impossible for him to stand up or stretch out his legs. US prosecutors wrote that his allegations were not supported by Israeli records.
*snicker* Tried the usual shtick, failed in the usual way.
Shqaire managed to enter the US on a visitor's visa in 1999, and proceeded to get married to a US citizen in order to obtain a green card.
“True love struck me like a thunderbolt, yer Honour.”
They divorced in 2002, but he remarried the same year, after which he was able to become a permanent resident.
“Truer love strikes even harder, yer Majesty. Check it out — I got a black eye and a goose egg. I’m gonna need two steaks for this one.”
He never mentioned his previous arrest or any involvement with terrorist groups to immigration authorities.

In 2008, he recieved full US citizenship.

Over the following decade, federal authorities investigated Shqaire for suspicious money transfers to Ramallah in the West Bank. While he was never charged in connection with these transfers, he was eventually convicted in a different context of credit card fraud, was placed in durance vile
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
for four months and placed on five years' probation.
During the Obama years, none of those things were considered to be criminal crimes, donchaknow. At least not if one belonged to the right demographic.
However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
investigations continued into his past, and he was charged in October 2018 for unlawful procurement of US citizenship.
President Trump takes a different approach to all that.
It seems that because he obtained citizenship the investigation into Shqaire was made more difficult, because he enjoyed Constitutional protections.
As it should be. But that only slowed the mills of Justice, which is also as it should be.

Turkish jets hit alleged PKK position in Duhok province: reports
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish jets struck alleged targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Duhok province on Friday morning, the armed forces announced.

The Arclight airstrikes targeted weapons positions and shelters of the PKK guerrillas in the Kurdistan Region mountains in the Gara, Zab, and Avashin areas, Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces tweeted.

Media close to the PKK reported a civilian vehicle in the Matin area had been hit by the Ottoman Turkish army, roughly 45 kilometres northeast of Duhok city. Roj News did not immediately have information of casualties.

A local man told Rudaw English that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
carried out airstrikes for nearly an hour, targeting positions in the mountains near Gelye Baski village, in the Doski area 32 kilometres northeast of Duhok city.

There were more than eight airstrikes between 10:30 and 11:20 Friday morning, he said. He had not heard of any civilian casualties.

"This is the first time that airstrikes hit this area and the PKK are here," he said.

Turkey regularly carries out airstrikes and military offensives against alleged PKK positions in the Kurdistan Region, where the group has its headquarters. In January, six non-combatants were killed in two separate incidents, sparking protests in the town of Shiladze, Duhok province. Angry protesters stormed a Ottoman Turkish military base near the town.

The airstrikes and military activities in the mountains have also driven hundreds of villagers out of their homes and destroyed acres of forests.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has repeatedly called on the PKK to leave the Kurdistan Region. "We have to address the root cause of these strikes and it’s the PKK presence. If they aren’t there, there will be no excuse for airstrikes," Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said in January after the Shiladze protests, adding he is in contact with Ankara to "make sure this does not happen again."

Kirkuk: 16 turbans toes up, gov’t to investigate 3 cops airstruck by Coalition fire

Iraq to investigate 1 officer killed, 2 wounded amid coalition air strikes

[Rudaw] Iraq's Joint Operations Command announced on Friday it will open "an investigation commission" after two Federal Police were wounded and one killed while the US-led international anti-ISIS coalition conducted activities around Kirkuk province.

Iraqi Interior Minister Aqeel Mahmoud al-Khazali confirmed in a Facebook post that the investigation will take place, following the casualties to the 11th Brigade of the Federal Police.

Joint Operations Command is responsible for coordinating with all state-sponsored armed forces in the country.

The coalition, as first reported by The Jerusalem Post, has announced that there were reports of the casualties.

"One Iraqi Federal Police member was reportedly killed and two were wounded by Coalition Forces supporting Iraqi Security Force counter-Daesh operations near al-Dib, Iraq," coalition spokesperson US Army Col. Scott Rawlinson confirmed to Rudaw English on Friday.

"The wounded are in stable condition and receiving medical care. The incident is under investigation," it added.

The mountainous Hamrin area is located about 160 kilometers north of Baghdad and 70 kilometers south of Kirkuk.

Islamic State (ISIS) remnants have remained active there. Earlier this month two brigades of Iraq's elite Counter-Terrorism Forces (ICTS) began intensive operations in the area.

Through the ISIS conflict, the US-trained ICTS have served as the spearhead of Iraqi offensives against the extremists. Other units like the Federal Police, Army, Rapid Response Units, and paramilitias have been used to hold liberated territory.

JPost cited social media accounts claiming the strikes took place on Wednesday at a Federal Police checkpoint which had been mistakenly targeted.

Al-Ahad TV in Iraq reported coalition helicopters were involved in the strikes.

The channel is close to Asaib Ahl al-Haq, a group that is commanded by Qais al-Khazali and fought as a paramilitary during the ISIS conflict. It is known to have links to Iran and hold anti-US sentiment.

Amnesty International reported as early as 2017 that "armed men" would simply wear Federal Police uniforms. UNHCR has documented testimony of the Federal Police working with "others in desert camouflage military uniforms."

Iraqi police say killed 16 Islamic State members after raids in Kirkuk

[IsraelTimes] 8,000 protest, with some throwing rocks and fire bombs at IDF soldiers who respond with tear gas and occasional live fire

Some 8,000 Paleostinians were protesting along the Gazoo Strip border on Friday, with some rioting and throwing rocks and fire bombs at IDF soldiers who responded with tear gas and occasional live fire.

According to the Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,-run Gazoo health ministry 31 people were maimed. The IDF had no immediate comment.

The protests were held at various locations along the border under the banner of Hamas’s ongoing "March of Return" demonstrations that have been held almost every Friday for more than a year.

The exchange also came amid ongoing efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

#1  Da deputy mayor was in on it?? Lucky that the first round of attacks is all they accomplished. The mind boggles at how much worse it might have been, and how much longer it would have gone on, just based on the 140 being searched for and the bomb and suicide vest factories found as seen in today’s report below.

Day 7: Sri Lankan police hunt 140 people after Easter bombings, 15 turbans toes up after gunbattle in Eastern Province
Day 6 events can be seen here, here and here.
[MSN] Sri Lankan police are trying to track down 140 people believed linked to Islamic State, which claimed responsibility for the Easter Sunday suicide bombings of churches and hotels that killed 253 people, President Maithripala Sirisena said on Friday, adding some Sri Lankan youths had been involved with Islamic State since 2013.

Muslims in Sri Lanka were urged to pray at home and not after the State Intelligence Services warned of possible car bomb attacks, amid fears of retaliatory violence.

The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka also urged its citizens to avoid places of worship over the weekend after authorities reported there could be more attacks targeting religious centers.

The streets of Colombo were deserted on Friday evening, with many people leaving offices early amid tight security after the suicide bombing attacks on three churches and four hotels that also wounded about 500 people.

Nearly 10,000 soldiers were deployed across the Indian Ocean island state to carry out searches and provide security for religious centers, the military said on Friday.

The All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ullama, Sri Lanka's main Islamic religious body, urged Muslims to conduct prayers at home in case "there is a need to protect family and properties."

Police have detained at least 76 people, including foreigners from Syria and Egypt, in their investigations so far.

Authorities have so far focused their investigations on international links to two domestic Islamist groups - National Thawheed Jama'ut and Jammiyathul Millathu Ibrahim - they believe carried out the attacks.

Sirisena said top defense and police chiefs had not shared information with him about the impending attacks. Defense Secretary Hemasiri Fernando resigned over the failure to prevent the attacks.

"The police chief said he will resign now," Sirisena said.
The Times of Israel adds:
On Friday night, Sri Lanka’s military said its soldiers in the eastern part of the country engaged in a gunbattle with suspects believed to be linked to the attacks, and police announced a 24-hour curfew until further notice in the Moslem-dominated area where the shooting took place.

Continuing government confusion in its investigation ‐ from drastically lowering the corpse count to misidentifying a Brown University student as a krazed killer ‐ only added to the public’s worries.

Officials from the police to the prime minister say gunnies remain on the loose and have access to explosives. That has led to increased security at shrines, churches, temples and mosques across the multiethnic country of 21 million off the southern coast of India.

On Friday night, soldiers raiding a house in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province fought a gunbattle with suspected gunnies linked to the bombings, said military front man Brig. Sumith Atapattu. After a couple of hours, he said soldiers were "engaged in a clearing operation," adding that some casualties were possible.

In the same area, police front man Ruwan Gunasekara said officers acting on information from intelligence officials found 150 sticks of blasting gelatin and 100,000 small metal balls, as well as a van and clothing suspected to be used by those involved in the Easter attack. Suicide bomb vests often are packed with such balls to increase the shrapnel in the kaboom, making them even deadlier.

Earlier Friday, police confirmed the krazed killer group’s leader, Mohammed Zahran, died in the suicide kaboom at the Shangri-La Hotel, one of six hotels and churches attacked. Zahran appeared in an Islamic State video claiming responsibility for the coordinated assault, and authorities in both Sri Lanka and Australia confirmed links between IS and the attack.

Police said Sherlocks had determined that the assailants’ military training was provided by someone they called "Army Mohideen," and that weapons training had taken place overseas and at locations in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province.

Police said they locked away
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
the operator of a copper factory who had helped Mohideen make improvised bombs and purchase empty cartridges sold by the Sri Lankan military as scrap copper.

On Friday, police apologized to a Brown University student and a human rights

activist after they posted her picture to Twitter and erroneously identified her as a wanted krazed killer. The police then deleted their Twitter account.

Mission Accomplished - All Catholic Church services in Sri Lanka canceled
at what point does wise caution become capitulation?
[NY Post] All Catholic Sunday Masses in Sri Lanka have been suspended until further notice following this week's massacre ‐ where two of the bombings took place at Catholic churches, church leadership announced Friday.

Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, told reporters Friday that church officials got their hands on a leaked security document that named churches ‐ both Catholic and of other denominations ‐ as major targets for attackers, according to Vatican News.

He insisted that the faithful stay at home, for their own safety, according to the report.

"We don't want repetitions," Ranjith said.

Bodies of 15 found after gun battle on Sri Lanka's eastern coast

[Jpost] The bodies of 15 people, including six children, were discovered at the site of a fierce overnight shootout on the east coast of Sri Lanka, a military front man said on Saturday, six days after a rash of jacket wallah attacks that killed more than 250 people.

The shootout between troops and suspected Islamist gunnies erupted on Friday evening in Sainthamaruthu in Ampara, to the south of the town of Batticaloa, site of one of the Easter Sunday blasts at luxury hotels and churches.

The police and military had earlier said four button men and a civilian had been killed in the shootout. The 15 were found in the morning during clearance operations.

Islamic State Women Terrorizing Refugees in Syria Camps While Waiting to Come Home
[BREITBART] Many in the camps remain die-hard supporters of IS. Women in general were often active participants in IS’s rule. Some joined women’s branches of the "Hisba," the inquisitors religious police who brutally enforced the group’s laws. Others helped recruit more foreigners. Freed Yazidi women have spoken of cruelties inflicted by female members of the group.

Within the fences of al-Hol camp, IS supporters have tried to recreate the caliphate as much as possible. Some women have re-formed the Hisba to keep camp residents in line, according to officers from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces guarding the camp.

The news agency noted that women wearing the ISIS bride uniform ‐ all-covering black robes and veils known as niqab ‐ attempted to intimidate anyone who dared talk to journalists.

U.S. President Donald Trump

has indicated he does not plan to bring American citizens who went to engage in jihad on behalf of ISIS in the Middle East or their families back to the continental United States. He is reportedly considering sending some to the nearly empty American military prison in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, known as Gitmo.
Oh yessssss, do that, please! Perhaps even take in guests from other countries, so long as their governments pay for their keep. Only put them in the traditional t-shirt & sweats uniform of the GITMO prisoner — without the hijabs and niqabs of the Moving Black Object. Hygiene and easy identification are critical for prison populations, donchaknow.
Several news outlets reported that, amid the demise of the so-called caliphate, some ISIS brides remained defiant and loyal to the brutal terrorist group.
