Thousands of Afghans flee fighting in Hazara districts
[DAWN] Thousands of Afghans have fled to Ghazni city to escape fighting in two Hazara

-dominated districts, with some describing the violence on Tuesday as the worst they had seen in the 17-year conflict.

The Taliban

have been battling members of Afghanistan's special forces and ethnic Hazara militia in the previously safe districts of Jaghori and Malistan in the southeastern province of Ghazni for nearly a week.

Hundreds of people, including civilians, militia, commandos and bad boys, have been killed, according to figures provided by locals and government officials.

Many families have fled to the bustling provincial capital, some leaving their homes in the middle of the night and travelling on side roads to avoid Taliban checkpoints.

"We were scared, other people were fleeing so we decided to leave too," said a woman called Zainab, who drove with her five children for 12 hours on dirt roads from her home in Jaghori district to Ghazni city.

"We have never seen this kind of war and my children and I were scared," she told AFP, adding that her husband had stayed behind to protect their property.

Around 2,000 families displaced by the fighting are living in mosques and hostels in Ghazni city, said Abdul Haleem Noori, director of the Afghan Red Islamic Thingy Society in Ghazni.

#1  For millions of people around the developing world, poverty keeps access to a better life out of reach. Education, however, is the key that could change everything. Education would help them escape poverty – by giving them the chance of a better job – and the impact of this would carry on down through the generations.

The foreign fighter identified as Abu Anas al-Misri from Egypt was killed in kaboom on a mosque in the rebel-held town on Monday night, according to sources.

Reports from the region suggest that a tension is brewing between fighters within the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabaab group fighting to topple the UN-backed Somali Federal Government in Mogadishu.

Al-Shabaab has been driven out of key areas in southern Somalia, including Mogadishu in 2011, but, the group still capable of staging attacks in the country’s capital.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Saudi interior ministry announced on Tuesday the execution of an ISIS murderous Moslem who killed his cousin.

The crime shook the kingdom as it was videotaped, and the man’s cousin is seen begging for him not to kill him, repeatedly screaming "enough Saad".

Warplanes target main entrance to Yemen’s port city of Hudaydah
[PRESSTV] The military coalition led by the Saudi regime has carried out Arclight airstrikes targeting the main entrance to Yemen’s western port city of Hudaydah, some five months after coalition forces, backed by armed militia loyal to the former Yemeni government, launched a full-scale offensive to seize the vital port.

The main gate "was the target of airstrikes... but the port is operating normally," said the port’s deputy director Yahya Sharafeddin on Tuesday, adding that at least two airstrikes had hit the entrance, leaving three guards maimed.

Other reports said that a single-storey guardroom had taken a direct hit from the strikes, which killed at least one soldier.

the Saudi-led forces on November 1 commenced a fresh wave of airstrikes and ground invasion in an attempt to capture the city of some 600,000 people.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sharafeddin said that despite the air raids, the vital docks were operating normally. Some 80 percent of Yemen's commercial imports and nearly all UN supervised humanitarian aid pass through these docks.

Migrants Reach Britain in Stolen French Fishing Boat

Iranian migrants steal French boat and sail to Britain, another boat sinks off Turkey
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A group of Iranian migrants colonists stole a fishing boat from a French port and sailed across the Channel to Britannia, slipping past border officials to complete a journey attempted by thousands each year.

Seventeen migrants colonists, including three children, reached England early Tuesday aboard the fishing boat stolen from a French port near Calais, British officials confirmed Tuesday.

Britannia's Home Office, the interior ministry, said the group was intercepted at Dover harbor.

"Fourteen men and three minors, all of whom presented themselves as Iranian, were found on board," a front man said, adding that their asylum cases would be reviewed and that the minors had been referred to social services.

French prosecutor Pascal Marconville, who is leading the investigation into the theft, said the engine had been hotwired (started without a key) and that the migrants colonists managed to "escape the watch" of port authorities in making their getaway.

Every year, thousands of migrants colonists from Africa, the Middle East and Asia, many of them minors, attempt to reach Britannia by stowing away on trucks crossing to England, mainly through the French port of Calais.

For many the attempt ends in failure, with French police routinely detaining migrants colonists caught trying to climb onto trucks.

On Monday evening, French officials became suspicious after noticing a boat that was taking a "bizarre" route across the Channel, said Ingrid Parrot, spokeswoman for maritime authorities in northern La Belle France.

Officials tipped off British authorities and contacted the owner of the 12-metre (40-foot) boat, who said it had been stolen from the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer, about 35 kilometers (21 miles) west of Calais.

Parrot called the crossing "unprecedented", noting that migrants colonists had previously used much smaller boats to try reach their journey's end, with little success.

So far this year French maritime officials have launched 23 operations either to rescue migrants colonists at sea or to stop groups about to set sail.

Ten Missing as Migrant Boat Sinks off Turkey

Ten people were missing on Monday after a boat carrying illegal migrants sank off Turkey's western coast, the Turkish coastguard said.

Two migrants swam to shore not far from the coastal town of Dikili in Izmir province after their boat sank, the coastguard said in a statement, adding that a search was underway for those missing.

Officials did not give details of the migrants' nationalities. Turkey hosts more than three million Syrian refugees and up to 300,000 Iraqis.

Separately, Turkish security forces rounded up 73 illegal migrants including Iraqis, Iranians, Afghans and Pakistanis in the northwestern Turkish province of Kirklareli, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.

The migrants were trying to reach Europe, it added. The Kirklareli region is on the border with Bulgaria.

Turkey has been a main transition route for migrants trying to get to Europe, especially since the start of the Syrian conflict in 2011.

The number of migrants coming to Europe has declined since the influx hit a peak in 2015 when more than a million people landed in Greece from Turkey, mainly via boats.

Turkey and the European Union reached a deal in 2016 to stem the flow of migrants, with Ankara agreeing to take back migrants landing on Greek islands in exchange for incentives including financial aid.

IDF Strikes 160 Targets In Gaza Strip After Almost 500 Rockets Fired
[Jpost] The IDF attacked 160 targets in the Gaza Strip after more than 460 rockets were launched into the South in less than 24 hours, including a new type of rocket fired by Islamic Jihad into Ashkelon.

Some 100 rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, the military said. While the majority of others fell in open territory without causing damage or injuries, another 20 or so fell in Ashkelon, Sderot, and in several other Gaza border communities.

The security cabinet convened for six hours on Monday

Ceasefire Goes Into Effect In South Following Unprecedented Rocket Barrage
[Jpost] An unofficial ceasefire went into effect in the South on Tuesday evening following a barrage of some 460 rockets fired on Israel from the Gazoo Strip.

Whether the ceasefire will remain in place, one Israeli official said, is dependent on what happens on the ground.

The joint command of the Paleostinian armed factions announced the ceasefire on Tuesday afternoon, saying they would abide by the Egyptian-brokered deal "as long as the Zionist enemy does the same."

At about the same time, Israel’s security cabinet ‐ after meeting for over six hours in Tel Aviv ‐ issued a laconic and vague statement saying that the IDF would continue to act as necessary. The statement did not mention a ceasefire.
An interesting approach.
"The Cabinet was briefed by the IDF and security officials about the attacks and the extent of operations against the snuffies in Gazoo," the statement read. "The Security Cabinet instructed the IDF to continue its operations as necessary."

During the security cabinet meeting, the ministers heard briefings from top IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet officials who were all against widening the IDF response and rejected a full-fledged, prolonged military campaign. Their position was backed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who over the last few weeks, has made clear that he wants to avoid a war in Gazoo, because Israel does not want to reclaim the region, being as there is no party willing to assume responsibility for it.

Four ministers voiced opposition to a ceasefire, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu), Jerusalem Affairs Minister and Environmental Protection Minister Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) and two Bayit Yehudi ministers: Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked.

The ceasefire angry protests in Sderot as a number of residents ‐ who have faced months of terror from Gazoo and wanted to see a more aggressive Israeli response ‐ blocked roads into the city. In Gazoo, on the other hand, there were a number of gatherings that took the form of victory rallies.

According to Israeli officials, Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, requested the ceasefire and messages to that effect came to Jerusalem from four different mediators: Egypt, the UN, Norway and Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
‐ both European countries are among the major donors to the Paleostinians.

But a representative of one of the terrorist groups in Gazoo denied that a ceasefire had been reached. "We haven’t been notified of any understandings concerning a ceasefire," he said. "We know that the Egyptians and the UN are trying to arrange a ceasefire, but we still haven’t received any word that Israel will stop its attacks. We’re only responding to the Israeli aggression. Once the aggression stops, there will be calm."

On Tuesday afternoon, the UN Security Council was scheduled to hold an emergency session on the situation in Gazoo. Israeli ambassador Danny Danon said before the meeting that Israel "will not accept a call for both sides to exercise restraint. There is one side that attacks and fires 400 missiles at civilian populations, and there is another side that protects its citizens." He added that "every member of the Security Council should ask themselves how they would respond after a barrage of missiles on their country."
The Times of Israel adds that the IDF declares return to normalcy in south:
As a reported ceasefire appears to take hold, Home Front Command says schools, businesses to reopen Wednesday in communities near Gazoo

The IDF Home Front Command on Tuesday night removed all restrictions on residents of southern Israel, the army said, declaring a "return to normality" as an uneasy reported ceasefire with the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, terror group appeared to hold after two days of rocket fire.

Schools will be reopened on Wednesday, as will all businesses and government offices. Farmers will again be allowed to work in their fields.

In a statement to residents, the head of the Eshkol regional council Gadi Yarkoni said: "We’ve had a difficult two days. Two days which are a continuation of life in the shadow of terrorism and a pendulum swinging between emergency and normality for eight months straight."

He said he expected Israeli leaders and the army to "give us true peace and true calm" which would allow the communities to thrive.

"We cannot accept the continued hopeless reality of life under the threat of terrorism that includes fires, balloons and rockets."

The shooting attack in Karak, site of one of the region's largest Crusader castles, killed seven coppers and two Jordanian civilians as well as a female Canadian tourist, and maimed 34 other people.

The defendants were charged in state security court, a military tribunal, with "terrorist acts", illegal possession of arms and producing explosives.

Two of them were handed life terms, while three were sentenced to 15 years in prison and five others to serve three years in jail. One defendant was acquitted.

Courts in Jordan, the target of several deadly attacks, regularly put on trial suspected jihadists.

Deir Ezzor: Iraqi paramilitaries reinforce border and target ISIS, Kurds redeploy from Raqqa, US coalition evacuates ISIS turbans

Iraqi forces reinforce entire Deir Ezzor border region (video)

[AlMasdar] Iraq’s Hashd Al-Sha’abi forces (var. Popular Mobilization Units) have reinforced the entire Deir Ezzor border region after the so-called “Islamic State” (var. ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) recaptured several areas inside the province.

According to the official media wing of Hashd Al-Sha’abi, the Iraqi forces have reinforced the border region in a bid to protect the area from Daesh’s attempted expansion.

The Hashd Al-Sha’abi troops have already begun heavily targeting Daesh’s positions in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, as the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) attempt to regroup and retake the areas they lost.

US-backed SDF deploys Asayish forces to Deir Ezzor

[AlMasdar] The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have deployed their interior police units to the Deir Ezzor Governorate, pro-SDF activists reported on Tuesday.

According to the activists, the Asayish forces were redeployed from Raqqa city to the eastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

The alleged reason for deploying these police forces to eastern Deir Ezzor was due to the recent advances by the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) near the Iraqi border.

Daesh was able to seize several towns from the Syrian Democratic Forces over the past two weeks, forcing the latter to retreat to the Iraqi border in order to avoid being overrun by the terrorist group.

terrorist group has airlifted to safe sanctuaries several members of the foreign-sponsored terror outfit from regions in Syria’s eastern provinces of Hasakah and Dayr al-Zawr.

Local sources, requesting anonymity, told Syria’s official news agency SANA on Tuesday that US-led military helicopters conducted an operation in the village of al-Suwayda in Hasakah near the border with Iraq, and transported a number of Takfiris to an unknown location.

Separately, US-led aircraft landed on the outskirts of al-Susah town in Dayr al-Zawr over the weekend, and took away three ISIS terrorists.

SANA, citing information received from local residents, reported on October 7 that American helicopters had evacuated ISIS commanders from al-Shaafah town in Abu Kamal district of Dayr al-Zawr to an undisclosed location.

Syrian Army mass reinforces northern Syria in response to Turkey’s upcoming Euphrates operation
[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has sent a large number of reinforcements to northern Syria this week in response to the upcoming Ottoman Turkish military operation east of the Euphrates, a source told al-Masdar News on Tuesday.

According to the source, the Syrian Arab Army has sent several military units to the northern and eastern countrysides of Aleppo and southern part of al-Raqqa.

In particular, the Syrian Army sent reinforcements to Deir Jamal near Tal Rifa’at in northern Aleppo, Tadif in eastern Aleppo, and al-Resafa in southern al-Raqqa.

The Syrian Arab Army reportedly made this decision to reinforce these fronts in response to the Ottoman Turkish military’s mass mobilization of rebel troops in the Euphrates River Valley region of Syria.

Furthermore, it appears that the Syrian Army has reinforced the al-Hasakah front over the last few days, as more soldiers were seen around the placid provincial capital and Qamishli City.

Earlier this month, the Ottoman Turkish regime announced that their forces were preparing to clear the ’terrorists’ from the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley.

The ’terrorists’ referenced by the Ottoman Turkish regime are the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The aforementioned groups are currently embedded with the U.S. Coalition in northern Syria.

Hama-Idlib axis adventures: Syrian army clashes with turbans as buffer zone agreement continues to collapse

Syrian Army heavily attacks southeast Idlib ahead of new offensive

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful attack against a group of jihadist rebels that were positioned in the southeastern countryside of Idlib last night.

Using surface-to-surface missiles and artillery shells, the Syrian Arab Army repeatedly struck the jihadist defenses around the towns of Al-Taman’ah and Sukeek, inflicting heavy damage on the militant positions.

The Syrian Arab Army then expanded their assault to the northern countryside of Hama, where they reportedly attacked Jaish al-Izza’s trenches around the town of Al-Lataminah.

This latest attack by the Syrian Arab Army comes just days after the Tiger Forces announced that they were on high alert and preparing for a new operation against the jihadist rebels in southeast Idlib.

The Tiger Forces are expected to begin their offensive in the Abu Dhuhour area in the coming days, as the Idlib buffer zone agreement continues to collapse.

Fierce clashes breakout across Idlib buffer zone as Sochi Agreement falls apart

A series of fierce clashes have broken out across the Idlib buffer zone as both the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and rebel forces continue to trade blows.

According to a military source in the government stronghold of Mhardeh, the Syrian Arab Army and rebel forces are currently clashing at least four different areas along the Idlib buffer zone.

The source added that the most intense clashes are taking place at the eastern part of the Idlib buffer zone.

Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army managed to foil an infiltration attempt by the Islamist rebels of Jaysh Al-‘Izza in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.

This failed infiltration attempt by the Islamist rebels resulted in a powerful response from the Syrian Arab Army troops that are currently positioned along the Idlib buffer zone.

In the next few weeks, the Syrian Arab Army is expected to kickoff a new offensive in southeast Idlib; this operation will focus on clearing the towns near the strategic Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

Rebel forces attempt to sneak behind Syrian Army lines for new ambush

[AlMasdar] The Free Syrian Army (FSA) attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defenses in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate this morning.

Led by their Jaysh Al-‘Izza faction, the Free Syrian Army attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses around the town of Al-Janabrah in northern Hama.

However, the Jaysh Al-‘Izza fighters were spotted moving towards the Syrian Army lines prior to the attack.

Scouts from the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF) in Mhardeh notified the Syrian Arab Army and later prevented the militants from infiltrating their lines around Al-Janabrah.

According to a military source in Mhardeh, the Syrian Arab Army managed to kill and wound a number of rebel fighters during the fierce exchange.

Following the failed militant attack, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a powerful assault along the Idlib-Hama axis, inflicting heavy damage on the rebel defenses.

The Syrian Army is still attacking the Idlib-Hama axis in a bid to weaken the militant resolve in this part of the country.

Led by their elite 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army continued where they left off on Monday, attacking ISIS’s positions at the northern and northwestern axes of the al-Safa region.

According to a military report from nearby Sweida city, the Syrian Arab Army managed to score a new advance at the northwestern axis of al-Safa after breaking through another well-fortified ISIS barrier inside this rocky region of southern Syria.

The report said that at least ten ISIS bad boyz were potted during the advance, while the Syrian Arab Army suffered six casualties of their own.

The Syrian Arab Army is now working to clear the remaining hills that are located in the northern part of this rocky region.
