fighters and 80 security force members have been killed in the last day's fighting in various regions, according to security sources.

Meanwhile,
...back at the precinct house, Fat Tony demanded his rosco back. He didn't say please...
there are reports that security forces have retreated from Arghanchkhaw district of Badakhshan in northern Afghanistan.

In the south, officials from the provincial council of Uruzgan said that the Taliban has reached the outskirts of Charcheno district and have asked security forces to evacuate the district center.

In Baghlan, a boom-mobile exploded near an Afghan National Army (ANA) post in Bagh-e-Shamal village of Pul-e-Khumri city. Reports say that ten security force members were killed, and ten others were maimed in the blast.

Reports state that fighting has occurred in at least 70 districts across the nation in the past 24 hours.

Local officials in Badakhshan said that widespread fighting has continued in 12 districts of Badakhshan.

"Security forces were deployed in two or three checkpoints, but we asked the security forces to evacuate the schools so that the youth can pursue their regular schooling," said Khalil Rahman Jawad, the commander of Badakhshan.

"13 districts in Badakhshan are facing imminent threats," said MP Zabiullah Atiq.

In Badghis province, there are reports that nearly 100 security force members have surrendered to the Taliban in Abkamari district and given up two Humvees and a large number of weapons.

"Two checkpoints were evacuated in Abkamari without any resistance or war," said Sher Aqa Alokozai, the commander of Badghis police.

"The fighting started at 3:00 am, the brave security forces fought back bravely and gave them a strong response," said Abdul Waris Sherzai.

Fighting is getting worse in Uruzgan," said Najibullah, a resident.

War has significantly increased in Afghanistan after the official announcement of the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country. There are reports that the centers of 20 districts have fallen to the Taliban in the past 2 months.

The surge in the level of violence comes as US and NATO

Egypt's Court of Cassation upholds life sentences for defendants who bombed transmission towers in 2014
[AlAhram] In 2019, 34 defendants were sentenced for life for targeting transmission towers following the dispersal of the Islamist sits-ins in Rabaa and Nahda squares

Egypt’s Court of Cassation upheld on Thursday the life sentences against several defendants convicted of bombing transmission towers in several governorates in 2014.
Court of Cassation rulings are final and cannot be appealed, for which, after all this time, all parties involved must be grateful.
The court also upheld 10-year jail terms for several others and acquitted three defendants.

In April 2019, a Cairo Criminal Court handed 34 defendants life imprisonment sentences for bombing transmission towers in the year that followed the dispersal of the Islamist Rabaa and Nahda sit-ins after the 2013 ousting of late Islamist president Mohammed Morsi.

It also sentenced 11 others to 10 years in prison.

According to Egyptian law, life sentences are 25 years in prison.

The High State Security Prosecution charged the defendants of leading and joining an outlawed, terrorist group with other members in Giza, Gharbiya, Menoufiya, Alexandria, and Kafr El-Sheikh, bombing transmission towers, and receiving training to manufacture and use explosive substances to disrupt public order.

They were also charged with the possession of documents containing detailed information on the national electricity grid, weaponry, and ammunition.

Libyan Football Club Suspends Participation in League After Attack
[LIBYAREVIEW] Libya’s al-Akhdar Football Club has decided to suspend its participation in the Libyan Premier League, after the team was attacked by the security authorities in charge of securing its match against hosts, al-Taawon F.C.

Al-Akhdar drew 2-2 to al-Taawon at the 10 June Stadium in Ajdabiya, in the 13th round of the competition.

The club said in a statement, on Tuesday, that the team’s players were attacked after the match by the Ajdabiya Central Support Forces, which was in charge of securing the match. It noted that the referees were also threatened during half time break.

Al-Akhdar added that the security forces were unable to remove fans who stormed the stadium. It explained that this matter directly affected the refereeing staff, and led to the award of three penalty kicks against the team. The club confirmed that these events have caused "severe damage" to the team.

Sirte-Al-Jufrah Commander: Coastal Road Will Not Be Opened Without Guarantees
[LIBYAREVIEW] Commander of the Sirte and al-Jufra Operations Room, Major General Ibrahim Bait al-Mal stated that the main coastal road will not be opened without guarantees, and the fulfilment of the remaining conditions agreed upon by the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC).

In press statements on Wednesday, Bait al-Mal stressed the importance of immediately implementing the outputs of the JMC. He noted that the call for assigning the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed al-Mnifi, as the Supreme Commander of the Army, "remained unclear."

The Commander confirmed their readiness to reopen the coastal road "if all conditions of the JMC are met. There will be a formal meeting on Sunday with the JMC, and we will provide our reports and observations to the Commander in Chief," he concluded.

Earlier this month, al-Mnifi held talks with the UN Envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
. The meeting discussed the latest security and political developments in Libya, support for UN efforts to achieve national reconciliation, and progress on the reopening of the coastal road in coordination with the JMC.

The two stressed the importance of withdrawing all mercenaries and foreign forces from the country, and paving the way for holding the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections, scheduled for December 2021.

Africa Subsaharan
Chinese miners kidnapped in Niger
[DW] Two Chinese nationals working for a Chinese mining company in the west of Niger, near the country's borders with Mali and Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
, were kidnapped by gunnies late Saturday night as Tidjani Ibrahim Katiella, the governor of Niger's Tillaberi region, told news agency AFP on Monday.

Katiella said the men "have a permit to search for gold," and that they had "refused to go home" after receiving prior warnings from gangs in the area.

The area, known as the "three borders" zone of Sahel nations, has been a hotbed of jihadist activity, in which Islamist bandidos Death Eaters linked to al-Qaeda and "Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
" have carried out attacks in all three countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger). Niger also faces ongoing threats from the group Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
in the south.

It is not yet known who was behind the kidnapping.

'AN ULTIMATUM TO CHINESE COMPANIES'
China, which aggressively mines minerals and other resources across Africa, signed an expanded deal for uranium, gold and oil exploration and extraction with Niger in 2006.

The last time a Chinese national was kidnapped in Niger was in 2007, when an employee from the China Nuclear Engineering and Construction Corporation (CNEC) was taken hostage by the Niger Movement for Justice (MNJ), a rebel Tuareg group operating in the north of the country.

At the time of the kidnapping, the MNJ said it was an "ultimatum to the Chinese companies that cooperate with the Niger army." The kidnapped engineer was eventually released after several days of negotiations.

China's manufacturing and export economy has fueled the need for raw materials and has seen Beijing invest billions in mining operations across the entire continent of Africa.

Beyond the oil, copper and iron needed for traditional manufacturing, Africa is rich in rare earths, such as coltan, needed for the manufacture of electronic goods, holding an estimated 75% of global supply. It is also estimated that Africa holds 90% of the world's platinum and cobalt reserves, 50% of its gold and 35% of its uranium.

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
movement Ansar Allah carried out a missile attack on the Yemeni city of Marib, the country’s SABA news agency reported on Thursday.

According to the report, two ballistic missiles and two drones filled with explosives were launched towards the city, located 135 km east of the capital Sanaa. The projectiles struck Marib city center, hitting residential districts and a local market. The city’s female prison was also damaged in the attack.

When ambulances arrived at the area, paramedics were attacked by a drone filled with explosives.

A standoff between government forces and armed Houthi rebels has been ongoingin Yemen since August 2014. In January 2015, Ansar Allah seized the country’s capital Sanaa and later formed a parallel government. The confrontation entered into the most active phase following the Soddy Arabia

, more than 24 million Yemenis, or approximately 80% of the country’s entire population, require humanitarian assistance. The number of internally displaced persons exceeds three million.

The Houthis regularly carry out attacks against Saudi Arabia and its infrastructure, primarily oil facilities. Also, they launch ballistic missiles and drones laden with explosives against troops supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government. On June 5, the rebels struck a filling station near Marib, sending an explosive drone to attack doctors who arrived at the scene. As a result, 21 people were killed.

Global Coalition supplies the Peshmerga with multimillion dollars worth of weapons
[SHAFAQ] The Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS (ISIS) said on Thursday that it delivered a multimillion-dollar batch of weapons and military equipment to the Iraqi security forces.

In a statement issued earlier today, Thursday, the Coalition said, "The Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) handed the Peshmerga forces weapons and equipment valued at 3,322,145 dollars."

The statement said that those weapons are part of the Training and Equipment Fund Program established in 2014 and funded from the budget allocated by the U.S. Department of Defense to the OIR.

Nearly a month ago, the Global coalition handed over $3 million worth of weapons and ammunition to the Iraqi security forces for the same purpose.

U.S. offers $3 million for information on attacks against its interests in Iraq
[SHAFAQ] The U.S. Department of State allocated a financial reward for information on attacks against U.S. diplomatic facilities in Iraq.

In a tweet, "Rewards for Justice" urged Iraqis to provide information on "terrorists" who carry out attacks and hide among civilians.

The tweet said Washington offers a reward of up to $3 million for information on planned or past attacks against US diplomatic facilities.

A spokesperson of the U.S.-led Coalition on Thursday pilloried yesterday's attacks, deeming them a violation of "the rule of law" and "National illusory sovereignty".

The official military Spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) and the member Coalition to Defeat ISIS (ISIS), Colonel Wayne Marotto, tweeted, "Each attack against the Government of Iraq, Kurdistan Region-Iraq, and the Coalition undermines the authority of Iraqi institutions, the rule of law and Iraqi National illusory sovereignty."

The Security Media Cell (SMC) reported that Baghdad International Airport was targeted with three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), one of which was shot down, without revealing further details.

He told Shafaq News Agency that "one of the major terrorist operations was thwarted yesterday,...ISIS was attempted to exploit a hideout of weapons and equipment, but their plan was foiled."

Al-Muzaffar explained that "the terrorist organization intends to carry out an operation in the Albu Bali area, but it was thwarted, in addition to seizing bombs."

"The Popular Mobilization Forces in al-Anbar are continuing to deter any attempt to destabilizing the security situation in the Governorate, especially in remote areas."

The deputy Commander praised the cooperation of the citizens of al-Anbar with the security forces, saying, "Without the citizen, we would not have been able to carry out most of the operations, because the citizen is the first security man in al-Anbar, and his cooperation with the security services contributed to the stability of the security situation."

Army nabs infiltrator from Gaza armed with bomb, knives, grenade
[IsraelTimes] Suspect apprehended as he tries to cross border in southern part of Paleostinian enclave, is taken for questioning.

The Israel Defense Forces said Thursday evening it had caught a man who crossed the border from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip while armed with an improvised bomb, a grenade, and two knives.

The army said he was intercepted as he crossed the border in the southern region of the Paleostinian enclave and then taken away for questioning.

No one was hurt in the incident.

At end of last month, a community security officer was injured in the hand, after he intercepted a knife-wielding terrorist who entered from the Strip and reached a public road.

The incidents came as much of southern Israel remained on edge, less than a month after a round of intense fighting between Israel and the Gaza-ruling Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, terror group drew to a close.

While Israel has a high-tech series of fences and walls guarding its frontier with Gaza, both above- and belowground, a number of gaps remain in the steel fencing surrounding the Strip. In times of low visibility, these gaps have been used by Paleostinians in Gaza to illegally enter Israeli territory, often with hopes of fleeing the beleaguered enclave.

Attacks on Israeli civilians by those infiltrating from Gaza are rare.
