2 Suspects in Custody After Springfield Killing of Highly Decorated Military Couple
[4 Washington] The two suspects in custody after the killing of a military doctor and his wife, a retired military nurse, Wednesday in Springfield, Virginia, were coworkers of a relative of the victims, police say.

Fairfax County police said in an update Thursday that they had two people in custody after the killings of Dr. Edward McDaniel Jr., 55, and Brenda McDaniel, 63.

Ronnie Marshall, 20, and D'Angelo Strand, 19,
...feral yoots both...
are charged with second-degree murder.
Appears to be a hit job. Motive yet undetermined.

WCYB - "However, law enforcement does not believe the crime was a random act."

"This was not a random act of violence. Not at all...the shooter or shooters, we strongly believe, are known to a relative of our two
victims," according to Davis.

#2  The 4WShington article was updated at 11:43 as follows:

Officers were called to the home Monday about an altercation and potential burglary in progress, Davis said.

On a dispatch call to responding officers, a dispatcher can be heard saying the caller and her husband were upstairs with a shotgun in their home. “The subject” was in the basement.

“Caller is advising the subject is after her son and that he is with them upstairs,” the dispatcher said.

Two days later, the parents, not the son, were killed.

Motive still unstated, but they’re getting closer.

-Great Cultural Revolution
Post-pandemic New York City laid bare as homelessness, mental illness and crime escalate and rattled locals and tourists alike believe town 'has lost its essence' while city cheerleaders insist 'the ship has turned'
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Exclusive DailyMail.com photos show an influx of homeless people on the streets as Manhattan struggles to get back on its feet after the coronavirus pandemic cut off its lifeline of tourism

  • The pandemic upped the ante on homelessness, mental illness and crime - particularly random assaults and stabbings as homeless men and women are seen strung out on the streets

  • In 2021, almost every type of violent crime is on the rise in New York City

  • According to recent figures from Compstat, the NYPD's data gathering unit, crime is up 30 percent city wide

  • Still, city officials are optimistic, 'The ship has turned. We are headed towards recovery,' Chris Heywood of NYC&Company, the city's official tourism organization, told DailyMail.com

  • A Times Square business owner said, 'There's a lot more crime and a lot more drug addicts and vagrants everywhere. In the last three months, I've seen three or four people shooting up right in front of me'

  • A cop patrolling the area told DailyMail.com, 'Times Square has lost its essence. People come here now and just sit'

Detransitioned woman who appeared on 60 Minutes speaks out after backlash from trans activists
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] As I previously reported, 60 Minutes on CBS is being inundated with backlash for daring to highlight the stories of young detransitioned people. Advocacy groups such as GLAAD have hammered the segment as "shameful" while trans celebrities like Laverne Cox have described it as "dehumanizing."
Having your boobs cut off isn't "dehumanizing," but going on the teevee is. Got it.
It’s not often that the stories of detransitioners get told within mainstream media for this precise reason- it’s just too much of a risk in the public square. There is an expectation to shove these stories under the table and ignore them.
"Get your flat-chested self into this here closet."
Grace Lidinsky-Smith, the primary detransitoned person featured on the show, isn’t taking it lying down.
"Just relax and enjoy it. That way you won't get hurt."
I recently interviewed her for my YouTube channel and allowed her to go into further detail on the horrors of transition regret, free from the sanitization of television editing. She also responds to the backlash she and the show are receiving from trans influencers and social media.
"So whaddya think, Mr Rather?"
"Just insert 'not' in front of every verb and adjective."
"They never taught us about no verb nor adjectives in school, Mr Rather!"
"Damn all English majors! I'll do it myself."

Grace said, "The extreme reaction of outrage at detransitioners even being shown at all on national TV feels really unfair.... On the other hand, I also think that it is a little bit of an immature reaction, especially from some figureheads."
I agree. I think the auto da fe is going entirely too far.
On the topic of her transition regret, Grace explains to me that it was the worst mistake of her life. While she claims to have learned a hard lesson, she mourns the loss of her breasts due to her temporary but intense decisions.
Lotsa men like flat-chested women. Way fewer like girls with doinkers.
Grace is part of a group called the Gender Care Consumer Advocacy Network (GCCAN). A quote from their website states: "Our mission is to empower recipients of gender transition-related care to become healthy and whole."

-Short Attention Span Theater-
2019: USS Omaha is SWARMED by 14 UFOs on radar after footage captured by sailors aboard ship showed spherical aircraft splashing down into Pacific
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • In July 2019, radar seen by sailors aboard USS Omaha shows as many as 14 UFOs swarming ship in Pacific

  • At least one of the UFOs was traveling at speeds of more than 160mph, according to radar data

  • Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell says radar corroborates earlier clip showing UFO near San Diego

  • Original clip shows spherical object dropping into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego in July 2019

  • It was leaked hours after a Navy veteran based in Virginia said the UFOs could pose a security threat

  • Former Navy Lt. Ryan Graves said he and colleagues spotted objects in restricted airspace off the Virginia

  • Graves said pilots filmed the sightings but grew so used to seeing them that they took them for granted

  • He said the UFOs, seen between 2015 and 2017, have capabilities far in advance of known US aircraft

  • An Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force will release a report on 'UAP' sightings next month

Moment Utah 'child snatcher' is arrested after hero teacher armed with GUN 'stopped him abducting girl, 11, from elementary school playground
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Police arrested Ira Cox-Berry, 41, after he allegedly snatched an 11-year-old girl while she was playing on the playground at Lincoln Elementary School in Ogden

  • Before Cox-Berry could get away with the girl an armed school employee shouted and demanded he leave and ushered students into a nearby classroom

  • After the children were inside the school, Cox-Berry approached the school building and began punching the window in an attempt to force his way inside

  • The school worker, who has a concealed-weapons permit, pulled out his gun and held off the 41-year-old while he called 911

  • Police arrived and arrested Cox-Berry after a brief struggle and charged him with attempted child kidnapping
Moved to Land of the Free because the armed teacher prevented a tragedy. Would that it was always the case — and here’s hoping he doesn’t get in trouble for it.

#2  "BLM" will go down in our nation's history as a freak episode of masochism, stupidity, and mass hysteria that enabled a small crew of retarded grifters to pull off a Madoff-style fraud.

It's like a fairy tale out of Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen... like the Pied Piper, or the Emperor's New Clothes. A parable of humans' desperate need to believe in nonsense, and their perennial willingness to be deceived by charlatans.

City of Joliet finally investigates its police department one year after death of black man, 37, who had his nose pinched shut by cops for nearly two minutes while baton was shoved in his mouth
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • City of Joliet, Illinois, hired private attorney to conduct independent review of police department's handling of Eric Lurry's case

  • Lurry, 37, married father-of-three, died following a drug-related arrest in January 2020
Over a year ago, and does not appear to have made it into the Rantburg archives.
  • Dashcam video released in July showed Sgt Doug May pinching Lurry's nose shut for 1 minute, 38 seconds, slapping him and calling him a 'b****'

  • Another officer was seen inserting a metal baton into Lurry's mouth

  • Police whistleblower Sgt Javier Esqueda, who released the video, was later stripped of his badge and criminally charged

  • May was handed a seven-day suspension in January 2021 for his conduct during Lurry's arrest

  • Lurry's widow filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against May and other officers

  • The Will County Coroner later determined that Lurry died of an 'accidental overdose' after swallowing fatal quantities of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine, and said that arresting police officers were not responsible for his death
Ah. That explains why the activists are making a fuss now.

Three Tacoma cops are charged in murder Manuel Ellis who was handcuffed and yelled 'I can't breathe' after being restrained for harassing drivers in their cars last year
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Washington state attorney general filed charges of second-degree murder against Tacoma cops Christopher Burbank and Matthew Collins

  • Third officer Timothy Rankine faces charge of first-degree manslaughter

  • All three are accused of causing the death of Manuel Ellis, 33, by restraining him during March 2020 arrest

  • Ellis was heard on surveillance video telling officers, 'I can't breathe'

  • Ellis, a father of two, died of oxygen deprivation and his death was ruled a homicide

  • He had been pinned to the ground by cops and had a spit hood put over his head as he walked home from a convenience store with a snack

  • Tacoma police said they spotted him trying to get inside a car and that they restrained him when he violently threw one of the cops to the ground

  • Bystander footage released in June cast doubts on the cops' version of events as it showed Ellis being aggressively beaten and restrained by the officers

Ellis had a history of mental illness and addiction. In September 2019, he was found naked after trying to rob a fast food restaurant. A sheriff's deputy subdued him with a Taser after he refused to remain down on the ground and charged toward law enforcement.

But his landlords at the sober housing where he was staying told The Seattle Times he had been doing well in recent months after embracing mental health care for his schizophrenia.

  • He was found about 600 yards from the bank in a wooded area after multiple law enforcement agencies including the FBI and ATF joined the manhunt

  • Four officers were seen crowded around Boykin after placing him in handcuffs

"Nobody is safe now in Belarus especially journalists," says the heiress to Tut.by, the news outlet whose survival is now fragile, after members of its team were detained after office and home raids. On May 18, authorities blocked the site after searching and closing its offices and arresting 12 people, including several journalists and Yulia, Chernyavskaya’s mother.

Officially it was a tax evasion investigation but Chernyavskaya has no doubt that her country’s most popular independent news site was targeted as part of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko’s crackdown, that followed mass protests in 2020 against his rule. Chernyavskaya, whose late father Yuri Zisser founded the news site, has been organising remotely from Tel Aviv in Israel, where she has lived for five years.

In Belarus, "there is no freedom of speech, no freedom to access information," the 33-year-old entrepreneur said, who until the raids had maintained a low profile. "Belarus definitely has a dictatorship today — it got worse during the last year, and it’s very dangerous," she told AFP.

"Even people who go to the store to buy bread, they are unsafe, because they could be stopped, and their phone could be checked." The country’s stifling of dissent escalated Sunday, when Belarus triggered international fury in arresting opposition blogger Roman Protasevich, after intercepting his Ryanair flight.

Gee, sounds familiar. Wonder of the White Russians have access to stories that the White Americans must not be allowed to read.... like how their election was a ridiculous farce, or how their asterisk-president's crack addict son sold access to the Vice President for years and to dozens of international criminals as well as to the nation's mortal enemies in the Chinese military.

Can we get access to these and other facts about our criminal class of overlords if we move to Minsk?

Vienna-Moscow flight cancelled after Russia rejects Belarus rerouting
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Austria on Thursday slammed Russia after it refused to allow an Austrian Airlines flight to be rerouted to avoid Belarusian airspace, resulting in the Vienna-Moscow service being cancelled.

"Based on a recommendation by the EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Austrian Airlines has suspended flights through Belarusian airspace until further notice. For this reason, adjustments to the flight route from Vienna to Moscow are necessary," said Austrian Airlines spokesperson Leonhard Steinmann.

"A change in flight routes must be approved by the authorities. The Russian authorities did not give us this permit. As a result, Austrian Airlines had to cancel today’s flight from Vienna to Moscow."

Passengers on the cancelled flight were rebooked, the airline said.

The move is the latest fallout from what Western nations have called hijacking and piracy by Russia’s ally Belarus on Sunday, which forced a Lithuania-bound Ryanair flight from Greece to land in Minsk, where a Belarusian dissident journalist on board was arrested.

In response, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
has urged its airlines to avoid Belarus and its airspace, but Russia has reacted by denying such carriers permission to fly to Russia, as it did with a Gay Paree-Moscow Air La Belle France flight that was cancelled on Wednesday.

"The Russian reaction is absolutely incomprehensible to us," Austria’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Russia’s denial of permission for the Austrian flight, adding that it was a disproportionate response to measures taken after Sunday’s "brutal act of air piracy".

"The Austrian Foreign Ministry communicated this to the Russian ambassador today. The Austrian ambassador in Moscow also presented this position to Russia," it said, calling on Moscow to clarify its position and adding that all flights over and to Russia should be able to continue without problems.

US Will Not Rejoin 'Open Skies' Treaty With Russia
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported earlier in the day that the Biden administration had informed Russia it had no intent to return the United States in the Open Skies treaty, which provided surveillance flights in both countries.

Washington has notified Moscow that it would not return to the Open Skies Treaty, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, confirming an earlier report by AP.

The news agency earlier reported that Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman informed Russia that the United States had no plans to re-enter the agreement the former President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
had withdrawn from.

Earlier in the day, Kremlin front man Dmitry Peskov said that the time was running out for Washington to reconsider its refusal to participate in the Open Skies Treaty, adding that the issue could be discussed during the upcoming US-Russia summit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
and his US counterpart, Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass....
, plan to hold a meeting on 16 June in Geneva.

The Open Skies Treaty was signed in 1992 and became effective ten years later to allow the signatories to conduct unarmed observation flights over each other’s territories on short notice.

The United States announced its unilateral withdrawal from the treaty last May and completed the process in November, citing alleged violations by Russia.

Russia has denied any violations and accused Washington back of non-compliance. In December, Moscow said it would withdraw, too, if other signatories refuse to guarantee non-sharing of data from their observation flights over Russian territory with the US. The Russian government launched the withdrawal procedure on 15 January.

Observers say Lugansk separatists violated disengagement zones
Direct translation of the article:
[Korrespondent] Observers daily record Russian military personnel in three regions, in particular, accompanied by civilians in medical suits.

The separatists violate the conditions and procedure for the disengagement of forces in the Stanytsia Luganskaya, Zolote and Petrovskoye sectors. This was reported by the press center of the JFO headquarters on Thursday, May 27.

On a daily basis, observer patrols spot members of the Russian armed formations in these areas, in particular, accompanied by civilians in medical suits. Also, the movements of cars are recorded there.

Since the beginning of May, 304 people have been recorded, at different times in the five-kilometer zone around the disengagement grounds. At the same time, 188 people were directly at the disengagement grounds.

Also, since January 2021, the separatists have placed containers of unknown purpose at the Zolote checkpoint. Cases were recorded of additional equipping of positions by separatists in the immediate vicinity of the disengagement areas.

According to the Ukrainian military, a concomitant component of violations in the disengagement areas is jamming by separatists of UAV flights of the OSCE Mission during previously announced and planned flights over these areas.

Finally, the headquarters stressed that the separatists are resorting to artificial aggravation of the situation near the disengagement area and are increasing the number of ceasefire violations, provoking the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to return fire. They also block the work of the checkpoint Zolote and Shchastye, trying to put pressure on Ukraine at the TCG meetings.

We will remind that earlier in Donbass a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was killed by a sniper's bullet . The enemy was aiming at the positions of the Ukrainian military near the village of Novotoshkovskoe.

The day before, nine attacks were recorded in the JFO zone , no casualties . The separatists actively used 120 mm and 80 mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
