[Just the News] The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Wednesday reversed a lower court decision to grant a new trial in a fraud case involving Hunter Biden's ex-business partner Devon Archer.
Hunter Biden was not charged in the scheme, but Biden's name was reportedly "invoked at various stages of the fraud as a selling point in transactions."
Archer was indicted on March 26, 2018 and charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud for a Native American tribal bond scheme hatched by Archer and several of his business partners. After a trial lasting approximately one month, the jury found Archer guilty on both counts. Archer asked the district court to set aside the jury's verdict and successfully pushed for a retrial. Now, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated the jury's conviction and sent the Archer case back to district court for sentencing.
Financial records made public during Archer's 2018 trial revealed large sums of Chinese and Ukrainian money flowing into Archer's and Biden's accounts via a Morgan Stanley account for an entity called Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC (RSB). For example, the RSB financial records revealed that Ukraine's largest gas company, Burisma Holdings, funneled millions to Archer and Biden in 2014 and 2015. According to Archer's bank statement, Burisma paid at least $166,666.66 (twin payments of $83,333.33) into Biden and Archer's joint account each month between May 2014 and October 2015.
Archer's bank statement released in the trial also revealed that the China state-owned Bank of China directly funneled more than $100,000 into the same account as Burisma beginning in December 2014. Another entity, Novatus Holding Pte. Ltd., wired $142,300 to the Rosemont account on April 22, 2014. That entity is controlled by a Kazakh businessman named Kenges Rakishev who has close ties to the leaders of Kazakhstan.

Here's a place for deep savings - entitlements. Where in the constitution is it authorized? Slash the welfare check by half - limit availability to 5 years / lifetime.
(And no - social security, unemployment, and medicare are not entitlements for those who paid into them)

Look at the federal budget in 1960. Defense was nearly 50%. Today its 12-15 percent depending on what you all lump into defense. The overall amount being spent hasn't changed. What has changed and grown like a cancer is spending not described in the Constitution aka entitlements. If you want real saving, cut there.

Are the emails that are going to be released by Pompeo the emails that are only resident in the State Department?
What ever happened to all the Hillary/Huma emails on the Anthony Weiner computer? Weiner computer.
I wonder how much overlap there is between the Weiner computer and what is in the State Department?
Comey said he had people look at the Weiner computer as I recall but it was a hurry-up look under time deadlines and it is doubtful that it was thorough.

Context is everything In analysis. The people who looked in 2016 had no idea of what was relevant given what we know now. The idea of a conspiracy and criminal conduct by senior officials would have been unthinkable then. And that is if they were Jones’i and actually looking. Given the current level of awareness I’m certain a far more incriminating content is waiting to see the light of day. As to consequences, not so much...

Where the hell was this 2 months ago? Heck where was this 2 YEARS ago?
Trumps biggest failure is leaving these insiders in power far too long. If he is reelected, day 1 he should demand resignations from all appointees, and accept nearly all of them.
Then he needs to start going hammer and tongs after the entrenched bureaucrats, starting with the FBI and CIA.

All FBI 302 interview reports of former Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr and any evidence Ohr provided to the FBI or DOJ, including thumbdrives from his wife Nellie Ohr, in 2016 or 2017 concerning Russia or the Trump campaign. All FBI and DOJ records of an August 2016 meeting with FBI officials, Bruce Ohr, Bruce Schwartz, and/or Andrew Weissman concerning Russia or Trump.
This would be the one that hammers the nails in the coffin. If we actually had a justice department that was interested in prosecuting criminals instead fo protecting them
[AmGreatness] House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday unveiled legislation that would allow Congress to oust a president from office using the 25th Amendment, stressing that "this is not about President Trump," but about creating "a process for future presidents," meaning potentially Joe Biden.
The bill would set up a commission to assess the president’s ability to lead the country and ensure a continuity of government. It comes one year after Pelosi’s House launched impeachment proceedings against Trump. If passed by a 2/3 vote in both houses, the 25th Amendment would allow for the vice president to become acting president after it was determined that the president was "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office."
Pelosi, who has raised questions about Trump’s mental fitness for years, has lately used the president’s COVID-19 diagnosis to question his health and his behavior.
"This is not about President Trump," Pelosi maintained Friday, after her chic color-coordinated mask had slipped well below her nose. "He will face the judgment of the voters. But he shows the need for us to create a process for future presidents."
President Trump immediately responded to the legislation on Twitter, arguing that Democrats are gearing up to remove a future President Joe Biden and replace him with his V.P. pick Sen. Kamala Harris.
"Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris," Trump tweeted. "The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!"
Pelosi’s bill, which has no hopes of becoming law, was quickly dismissed as a stunt by Republicans.
"It’s an absurd proposal," said White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News.
"Absolutely absurd," said Senate Majority Leader McConnell during an appearance in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
Pelosi on Thursday had signaled to reporters that the controversial legislation was coming.
Clad in a bright orange face mask to match her orange suit, Pelosi said that she would be "talking about the 25th Amendment" on Friday.
"The public needs to know the health condition of the president," Pelosi said Thursday.
Trump later responded: "Crazy Nancy is the one who should be under observation. They don’t call her Crazy for nothing!"
UPDATE:
Trump commented further on the Speaker’s 25th Amendment gambit on the Rush Limbaugh Show, Friday afternoon.
"She’s gone crazy, she’s a nutjob," Trump said of Pelosi, adding: "I think they put it in so they can Kamala in, replacing Biden."
"Exactly!," Limbaugh agreed. "That’s exactly what it is! It’s a trial run to see if they can kick Biden out."
Limbaugh echoed Pelosi’s words, saying, " it’s not aimed at you."
"That was the first thing I thought of," Trump told the legendary radio host.

This guarantees of Biden so s we will have Kamalasworn in within 60 days and Pelosi th in g the show for Soroz. If terrible don't hold the senate, we're looking at a 4 trillion rD increase, green New boondoggle, a crippled econo.g and socialized medicine remodeled tbrough
Under the 25th a President can ultimately be relieved of duty against his will by a 2/3 majority in both the House and the Senate.
For impeachment and removal from office a simple majority in the House and 2/3 in the Senate is sufficient. Also there's no need for a declaration signed by the VP and some other body.

^ what you don't see is an attempt to replace the government with a Parliamentary system. The states and the people are just consulted, but the legislature picks the leadership.
The White House pounced on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's 25th Amendment talk Friday, hitting her for her own mental fitness for office and also suggesting she was trying to target Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Trump, who is recovering from coronavirus, took to Twitter immediately after Pelosi's announcement that Congress is considering legislation on how to remove a president from office and accused her of actually targeting Biden should he win in November.
"Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris," Trump tweeted. "The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!"
Style of mask is ineffective, but half-worn may actually make things worse. People who have never worn a mask, six months into this still haven't figured it out, telling people masks work and they are total experts y'all.

[Conservative Treehouse] A fantastic catch by Twitter user "15poundstogo" highlights a key phrase within the Senate Select Intelligence Committee (SSCI) Russia Report Volume-5, showing how the SSCI allowed those who created the Trump-Russia narrative to avoid questioning:
This is a very important detail to underpin the report we shared yesterday about former Dianne Feinstein top staffer Dan Jones attempting to avoid a subpoena from U.S. Attorney John Durham. [SEE BACKGROUND HERE] This key highlight from the SSCI is evidence of how the attempted coup against President Trump was coordinated by people outside government and inside government.
Dan Jones left the SSCI prior to the 2016 election and went to work pushing the Trump-Russia narrative through his media contacts. Jones took over funding Fusion-GPS and Chris Steele in 2017 at the same time Senator Mark Warner took over as SSCI vice-chairman. Dan Jones and Mark Warner coordinated the efforts outside and inside government on the same objective. The Senate Intel Committee was part of the effort.
As a result of their alignment and common purpose the SSCI didn’t investigate the origin of the Trump-Russia narrative; and instead positioned themselves as a shield to block any investigative inquiry into what took place. THIS IS A BIG DEAL !
The attempt to remove President Trump from office encompassed all three branches of the U.S. government.
Executive Branch — FBI, DOJ, CIA, State Dept., and Special Counsel Office.
Legislative Branch — SSCI in 2017 and 2018 with an assist from House Intelligence Committee and House Judiciary in 2019 and 2020.
Judicial Branch — FISA Court 2015, 2016, 2017; Federal Judges (Sullivan, Walton, Howell, Berman-Jackson) in alignment with DC intents in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
How does the office of the United States president; and more importantly a constitutional republic itself; survive a coordinated coup effort that involves all three branches of government; while simultaneously those in charge of exposing the corruption fear the scale of the effort is too damaging for the U.S. government to reveal?

Our current government, especially Justice and Legislative branches, have become fully compromised. Nothing short of mass firings and a rebuild can prevent the alternative of a revolution.

[JustTheNews] National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien made good Friday on President Trump's transparency pledge in the Russia collusion case, releasing in its entirety a previously heavily redacted document from the Robert Mueller probe showing why Russian diplomats met with Trump in May 2017.
The memo was first flagged in a footnote of Mueller's final investigative report on the Russia collusion probe in spring 2019, in part because the Lavrov meeting became the subject of a news media leak that claimed Trump called James Comey a "nut job" during the gathering and told the Russian foreign minister the FBI director had just been fired.
The leak to the New York Times, which occurred nine days after the Lavrov meeting, was a stunning breach of the privacy that a U.S. president normally enjoys for non-public meetings with foreign leaders. The contents of such conversations are automatically classified to protect diplomatic sensitivities.
The leaked conversation was used by the news media to further the narrative that Trump was somehow too close with the Russians and colluding with them to the detriment of American national security. It was also tied in media reports to the ongoing Russia collusion probe.
Ciaramella's exchange with Kelly ‐ captured in the now unredacted email ‐ shows the May 2017 meeting between Russian diplomats and Trump was simply a routine diplomatic courtesy afforded Lavrov after Putin had agreed to meet Trump's then-new Secretary of State Rex Tillerson earlier that spring. Officials even wrote the meeting had nothing to do with the Russia probe.

The NYC Department of Corrections says 'a significant reduction in the city's current and projected prison populations' sparked the decision
A corrections officers' union called the decision 'reckless' because prisoners will now have to be squeezed into other facilities amid the COVID-19 pandemic
