-Lurid Crime Tales-
Does Anyone Have the Courage to Indict Obama?
[Townhall] I recently watched a documentary about how the U.S. government finally took down the mob (aka the Mafia). For decades, the U.S. government failed miserably. Why? Because it could only catch low-level "soldiers" in the act of a crime but never the mob boss (aka The Don).

But something changed in the late 1980s. The government applied the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO Act, to the Mafia. It proved the mob acted as a "family." And when the head of the family gave an order, he was as guilty as the "soldier" who carried it out. This allowed the government to destroy the Mafia.

Suddenly, a light bulb went off. I realized this is exactly how to indict, convict and send former President Barack Obama to prison.

I believe Obama is the biggest criminal in the history of the United States. RICO is how we get Don Obama. He was the head of a family just like the Mafia. Call it the Obama Crime Family.

Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney Durham are playing in the minor leagues. They are going after the "soldiers" of the Obama criminal family. But they should be targeting the head of the snake: Obama. He gave all the orders. He oversaw and coordinated all the crime, extortion, theft, fraud and lies. And, of course, the biggest crime of all: spying. Some might call that treason.

It was all Obama. Just like in New York in the 1980s, it was all Paul Castellano and John Gotti of the Gambino family. The only difference is the crimes and audacity of Obama make the Gambinos look like Boy Scouts. Trust me, the Mafia has nothing on Obama.

Let's compare the crimes of Obama vs. the Gambinos'.

Apparently not. We'll be lucky if he doesn't appear on Mount Rushmore.

#2  No, and I suspect "they" have something on Trump. I don't know what else it can be. Clinton's & Obama ... nothing. Of course, all it might take is for the MSM to flip the switch, but that will never happen.

#4  I'm just guessing that after the civil war there are going to be a number of tribunals that will merit out justice delayed, obstructed and unfinished previous to the conflict. Nuremberg set a precedent of a priori behavior being addressed and if history is precedent, maybe they can avoid the Soviet treatment of the Romanovs.

#5  It has been known for several years Bill Clinton was on Epstein's pedophile island with underage girls. If that doesn't get a former President charged, Obama has nothing to worry about for illegal spying on opponent campaigns.

#6  It's simple extortion. No one wants to incur the wrath, boycotting, and rioting. The origins run rather deep. Page back if you will to LBJ's 'Great Society' (dem vote getting schemes) and move forward to the current day.

#7  No, and I suspect "they" have something on Trump.

Given their desperation to be rid of Trump and their outrageous actions to date, if they had anything at all on Trump it would have been used. Obama needs a military tribunal and a firing squad for his crimes against the State.
Posted by: H-T-A || 08/02/2020 8:35 Comments || Top||

#8  The reason they have nothing on Trump is that prior to 4 years ago he was elected to nothing and responsible for nothing of public trust. The swamp has no leverage which is why Trump must go get thrown out of Whitehouse. Trumps tactical mistake was trusting RINOs to help him transition. On the first day in office he should have been given a list of every fireable bureaucrat and then fired them all from the left and right.
Posted by: Airandee || 08/02/2020 8:56 Comments || Top||

#9  To get the former president would require an airtight case after all his lieutenants were convicted and some of them turned state’s evidence. Also a year of revelations trumpeted to the skies. and being caught in the act whipping little black boys or something.

We have a tradition here of not going after previous presidents for a reason: it allows all of them to peacefully turn over the reins of office when their term is over. If the threat of jail becomes a thing, they really will refuse to leave.

#11  If nothing on Trump (duly noted), then what is it? Threats against him or his family? Or, if they did have something on him and used it, then Trump might retaliate/quid pro quo. It is all so frustrating 3.5 years into Trump's presidency and zero to show for it (Clinton/Obama). Trump said in the debates that Hillary should be in jail. Well?

One can only hope Obama faces justice. We may know more after November, but don't hold your breath.

#13  Doing Obama would cause a firestorm that would make the current troubles seem like a walk in the park. But, doing a few white subordinates before the election and inching up to Brennan and Comey in October would be a start. After November start on a wider shot group. I doubt Champ ever faces prosecution but in time you can hope to soil his reputation. If they steal the election in November, God Help Us and I plan to bunker in place.

Chinese Propaganda Campaign Blames Pandemic on U.S. Army Facility Closed in 1969
[Free Beacon] Chinese propagandists are casting blame for the coronavirus pandemic on a U.S. military research lab that shuttered its biowarfare division more than 50 years ago.

Chinese diplomats and state-run media outlets have repeatedly spread the conspiracy that the coronavirus originated in Maryland's Fort Detrick research lab, often in response to criticism about the country's response to the pandemic.

"Speaking of the truth, we would like the U.S. government to tell the truth about the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland, to U.S. and the international community," Wang Wenbin, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, said on July 22.

But President Richard Nixon closed down Fort Detrick's offensive biowarfare division in 1969—50 years before the first coronavirus cases were reported in Wuhan, China. Fort Detrick now focuses on defensive biological research as well as cancer research. U.S. officials have frequently criticized the Chinese government for using the Fort Detrick conspiracy theory—and other unproven allegations—to blame the outbreak on the United States.

"To have somebody ... from the Chinese government come out and make a statement like that [is] completely ridiculous and it's irresponsible, and it doesn't get us to where we need to be," said Secretary of Defense Mark Esper in March.

Chinese propaganda organs have floated other countries as possible origins of the coronavirus, with a similar lack of evidence. Global Times, a leading mouthpiece for the regime, once insinuated that the virus could have originated in Spain, citing one research article that has not been peer-reviewed. The same outlet also claimed that the coronavirus was detected in Brazilian sewage back in November 2019.

Chinese social media accounts and U.S. conspiracy theorists have also smeared American military personnel as part of their Fort Detrick conspiracy, accusing one soldier of bringing the virus to China when she competed in the World Military Games held in Wuhan in late 2019. Chinese authorities, who exercise near-total control over what is disseminated on the Chinese internet, have allowed the rumors to spread. Global Times also covered the conspiracy theory in March, demanding that the United States release information about the U.S. delegation to the sports competition.

Thanks to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, Some of Us Still Live in America
[PJ] I am old enough to remember when the media was trashing Georgia Gov. Kemp for being a first to reopen the economy. Massive death and suffering were sure to follow. That didn’t happen and Kemp never got an apology or an opportunity to tout the success of the reopening.

Then the riots happened over Memorial Day weekend and continued apace following the death of Rayshard Brooks. About two weeks later, Georgia’s case-rate began to climb. The cases were concentrated in Fulton County, where the protests occurred in Atlanta and two adjacent counties, Gwinnett and DeKalb.

By that time Georgia had been open for six weeks. Georgians were not going back on lockdown. We were back to eating out, back to the gym, and getting our hair done. It was starting to feel like we could get back to normal. Most Georgians also don’t take hypocrisy lightly. If thousands of people could be in the streets in downtown Atlanta, there was no way you were going to stop those of us outside the city from meeting friends for a plate of nachos and a beverage on Friday evenings.

Governor Kemp resisted calls to lock down again. He insisted that the freedoms that had been restored be available to Georgians across the state. Nor did the governor let mayors in Savannah and Atlanta place additional restrictions inside their cities. He also ensured no Georgian or business would be fined for not wearing masks or enforcing mask-wearing.

He invalidated local ordinances that mandated masks or levied fines. Following that announcement, there was much screeching and gnashing of teeth from Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Kemp went on a statewide tour to educate the public on mask-wearing with the surgeon general. He has also consistently modeled the behavior in public and on social media.

However, to those on the left, letting adults assess their own risk and make a personal decision is not allowable. So the governor was trashed again amid rising cases due to the Mostly Peaceful Protests™. Then Mayor Bottoms blew it by negotiating with domestic terrorists who had taken over a local Wendy’s they had burned down. Then an 8-year-old girl was shot at the border to Atlanta’s own mini-CHAZ.

Texas 2.5%. Georgia 10.7%.

#6  Does demographics play a role here? Blacks more affected? More blacks in Georgia per capita than in Texas? Just throwing that out there, and surely more questions could be asked.

#7  ^Damfino. All I know, Texas was (approx twice) better than the rest of USA in that particular statistic* from the beginning

* death/(death + recovery) ratio - there is an abbreviation that escapes me at present.

#8  #7 - what if "recoveries" are under-reported, by a factor of five, as suggested at Coronavirus Bell Curve?

Since 4/6, the reported daily recovery numbers have been much lower than what we would expect based on COVID-19 average incubation period and time from symptom emergence to death. This has resulted in a likely overstatement of the reported active US case count since 4/6.

I'd say, recoveries are reported late, or not at all, because there's no headlines there.

#13  It's misleading to call positive tests "cases'. When people have a "case" of a disease to me it means they're showing symptoms. How many of these "cases" could have been false positives?

#14  When people have a "case" of a disease to me it means they're showing symptoms.

That's why the numbers 3,825/31,926 that's the ones with symptoms.

How many of these "cases" could have been false positives?

Most. That's why they're NOT counted among resolved cases.

p.s. You say "false positives" as if somebody set out to defraud you. So, sorry, but you can't have perfect tests - sans false positive. That's why people who test positive are allowed to self-quarantine.

pp.s. The entire theory of herd immunity (remember it?) was based on the assumption that asymptomatic positive = asymptomatic infection followed by immune memory.

The ‘Hold My Beer’ Theory of the Portland and Seattle Seppuku
[AspenBeat] My theory regarding this flight from reality in Portland and Seattle (where I lived for a couple of years) is that those cities have long suffered from an inferiority complex vis-a-vis San Francisco. The big city to the south makes Portland and Seattle feel like a timber mill and a fishing harbor.

Every policy decision is consequently animated with the unspoken sentiment, "What would San Fran do? Let's outdo that!"

Congratulations, Portland and Seattle, you've managed to outdo even San Francisco in violence, vagrancy and anarchy. Now you can live in the festering filth and feces of sociopaths who have nothing but cynical contempt for your self-indulgent self-righteousness. But at least you feel really good about yourselves.

Let's pull the feds out of Portland and Seattle. Give the people there the feel-good they crave and vote for, good and hard. Let's see how they like it when the thugs come for them.

Why You Shouldn't Underestimate ANTIFA
[VictoryGirls] If you live in the American heartland, you might have watched the urban carnage over the last few months and shrugged your shoulders or shook your head. After all, ANTIFA running amok in the cities is most definitely a Democrat-created problem. They bore that child and fed him candy, and now they can deal with the fallout. There’s a reason why people choose to live in the heartland and not the city anyway. Not my circus, not my monkeys. There’s just one problem. ANTIFA, whether anyone knows or wants to admit it, is already in the heartland — even in areas thought of as bastions of freedom — and they’re organizing and training.

MYTH: ANTIFA is made up of effeminate "soy boys."
One of the most pervasive things going around about ANTIFA are that they are not even remotely a threat. They’re all so busy looking for their next vegan meal, putting beads in their sparse beards, or eating Pop-Tarts in their mom’s basement that they cannot possibly be a threat to real American manly men — or at least that’s how they’re portrayed. Stories like the one below serve to help that narrative, and it’s one that ANTIFA doesn’t mind going around. Being underestimated is an excellent force multiplier.

Understanding Hezbollah's complex planning behind the events on Har Dov
[Jpost] BEHIND THE LINES: This week’s skirmish on the northern border must be seen through the prism of the leadership struggle in Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
The events at Mount Dov earlier this week, in order to be understood, need to be placed in the broader context of Israel’s ongoing undeclared military campaign against Iran. They also cannot be separated from Hezbollah’s current status as the de facto ruler of Lebanon.

The New York Times thinks ‘nice white parents' are the root of all evil
[Spectator USA] Cockburn was recently made aware of a new production at the New York Times, bearing the ominous-in-2020 title Nice White Parents. The podcast, launched on Thursday, is the work of the same people who created Serial, the preposterously popular true crime podcast.

This time, Team Serial digs into New York City’s public school system, and specifically, the group they say is the root of all pedagogical evils.

’We’ve tried standardized tests, and charter schools,’ narrator Chana Joffe-Walt solemnly intones in the first episode. ’We’ve tried smaller classes, longer school days, stricter discipline, looser discipline, tracking, differentiation. We’ve decided the problem is teachers, the problem is parents. What is true about all of these reforms, is that when we look for what’s broken...we focus on who they’re failing: poor kids, black kids, and brown kids.’

All of this is misguided, Joffe-Walt explains. The problem, apparently, is a narrative one. Liberals have been too focused on finding people to help. What they actually need is a villain, someone to hurt.

’There is a powerful force that is shaping our public schools, arguably the most powerful force. It’s there even when we pretend not to notice it,’ she says. ’If you want to understand why our schools aren’t better. That’s where you have to look. You have to look at white parents.’

The debut episode focuses on a specialty school in Brooklyn, the School for International Studies. The podcast first faults ’nice white parents’ for not attending the school when it was built, causing it to be overwhelmingly non-white in composition. Then, in 2015, the situation reversed: dozens of white parents enrolled their children in the school, making it racially integrated. But it turns out that was wicked as well, a scholastic version of gentrification (which is also deeply nefarious). The parents are vilified for launching a French immersion program (using a European language rather than Arabic reeks of colonialism, evidently), and for raising $800,000 in a single year. Nothing bad actually happens at the school as a result. No matter; the mere presence of the new arrivals is denigrated as ’annoying’. In a companion article recommending books about the white parent menace, a 10-year-old boy is chided for saying that SIS was improved ’with us here’. A child’s harmless belief that he and his friends made a place better, rather than worse, is warped into the embryo of racism.

NBA Now Requiring All Players To Stand For Chinese National Anthem
Welcome your new masters with Revolutionary Enthusiasm.
[Babylon Bee] In an effort to salvage its relationship with China, the NBA is now requiring all players to stand for the Chinese national anthem at the beginning of every game.

The official song of the People's Republic of China, "March of the Volunteers," will be played at the start of all professional basketball games, whether at home or abroad. All players, fans, coaches, and employees will be required to stand and solemnly sing lyrics including the following:

#1  Said it elsewhere: The key to the BB is that, when you read their headline, that it's the Bee does not immediately come to mind.

#2  I was 50/50 on this one reading the title. Finally decided that the NBA was just corrupt enough to mandate this. Certainly fits right in with their anti-American belief. Down $1.

#3  The Chicom anthem might not often be played at NBA events but I would be very surprised if NBA personnel, including players weren't actually required to stand.

Someone should seriously ask the NBA to explicitly state its police re all anthems.

#4  Yay! For once I was right: it WAS the Bee! I was only 51% sure, though...
