Egypt police kill 11 terrorists in North Sinai raid
[AlAhram] Egyptian police potted 11 gunnies in North Sinai's El-Arish during a raid on their hideout, a statement by the interior ministry said on Tuesday.

The bad boyz were potted after shooting at police as they attempted to apprehend them at their hideout in a farm in El-Arish's El-Obour area.

Police seized a number of weapons, including five rifles, a FN firearm, a pistol, two bombs, and a suicide belt.

ISome 650 militants and around 45 soldiers have been killed since, according to a tally based on statements by the armed forces.

Ubari military source says Haftar boosting foothold at oil facilities fearing losing them
[Libya Observer] A convoy of 75 military vehicles coming from eastern Libya entered Sharara oilfield on Monday, local media outlets reported a military source from Ubari as saying. ‏

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
's forces which arrived from eastern Libya aim to secure oil fields after the defeat of their fellow forces in Murzuq and loss of grip on the south.

"Haftar's forces are afraid that an attack on oil fields could take place and thus be kicked out of them by the South Protection Force. Haftar's forces entry to the south and their violations in there escalated tensions among the locals." The source added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Senate, the partisans of Honorius went for their knives and the partisans of Stilicho went for the doors...
Haftar's forces withdrew from Murzuq after heavy festivities with South Protection Force backed by fighters from Tubu tribespeople who had been discriminated against and oppressed by Haftar's forces inside Murzuq in last February.

Chief of Ajdabiya security orders use of live ammunition against police stations attackers
[Libya Observer] Chief of Ajdabiya security service, Sadiq Allwati has ordered the security members of the city's directorate to take action against those who shoot up security premises and cop shoppes within the city.

Allwati permitted security members to respond strongly and use live ammunition against assailants, saying that those who point their weapons towards the security services should be treated like ISIS.

Analysists say that this demonstrates the deteriorating security situation in Ajdabiya, like other areas controlled by Haftar's militias in the eastern and southern parts of the country.

Armed attack on Libya's Ajilat district leaves one person killed
[Libya Observer] A security source in Ajilat said one young man was killed after an attack by an gang on Jadidah cop shoppe as well as a security department's outpost.

The source said the Ajilat security department managed Monday evening to contain the attack in Jadidah area after hours-long clash with the gang.

'The young man who was killed in the clash was from the outlaw gang. One person was injured from the cop shoppe." The source added.

It is not clear whether the attack was prompted by political motives to cast some confusion in support of Khalifa Haftar

's forces or just a button men attack, knowing that Ajilat and nearby areas are frequently seeing some military movements in support for Haftar.

Observers believe that those movements are just a show of power and a way for Haftar to prove his forces' military might in the far west of Libya so the morale of his fighters on frontlines can be boosted.

Uneasy calm descends on Tripoli frontlines as Haftar's forces advance on Gharyan fails
[Libya Observer] As southern Tripoli

frontlines have been seeing an uneasy calm with some intermittent festivities between the Libyan Army forces and Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. 's forces, the latter, positioned in Urban town between Gharyan and Tarhouna, have attempted to advance on Gharyan but failed.

A source from the operations room of Volcano of Rage Operation of the Libyan Army in Gharyan said they had managed to thwart Haftar's forces attack and attempted advance on the city via Ghout al-Reeh in south Gharyan, adding that they are in full control of the area and the whole city of Gharyan.

The source indicated that Gharyan Protection Force backed by western military zone forces started combing through all areas around Ghout al-Reeh toward Urban town.

In the meantime, a source from Volcano of Rage Operation said the Libyan Army under the command of the Presidential Council's government is preparing for the next phase of the fighting - the biggest battle - against Haftar's forces in southern Tripoli.

"The Libyan Army is setting up two control rooms of drones ahead of a turning point for the air power in this fighting against Haftar's forces." The source added, denying that Haftar's warplanes hit any of their drones or control rooms.

According to the source, groups of fighters from Haftar's forces with their weapons are constantly surrendering to the Libyan Army and the latest group was two days ago on Ain Zara frontline.

"Upon interrogating some of them, they said they no longer have trust in their leaders as they haven't been contacted for advancing or any other orders for a long time." The source further added.

Caribbean-Latin America
Dominican's Largest Drug Trafficking Gang Dismantled After Raids
In which a variety of jihadi groups lose some small percentage of their profits from the drugs trade to the infidel West..
[Jpost] The Dominican Republic's top prosecutor said on Tuesday that the Caribbean nation's largest drug trafficking gang has been dismantled, a group that allegedly used two former professional baseball players to launder assets.

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Octavio Dotel was arrested earlier on Tuesday, while Luis Castillo, also a former player, was named by authorities as being part of the gang.

More than 40 raids were carried out across the country in connection with the case, according to Dominican Attorney General Jean Alain Rodriguez.

Rodriguez told news hounds at a news conference that the case marks the largest anti-narcotics operation in the recent history of the Dominican Republic.

He said the gang allegedly run by nightclub owner Cesar Emilio Peralta controlled one of the region's biggest drug trafficking operations, transporting illicit drugs including cocaine from South America to both the United States and Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
Rooters could not immediately locate Dotel, Castillo or Peralta, or their lawyers, for comment.

India-Pakistan
Authorities make more arrests in Indian Kashmir to deter protests
[Jpost] Security forces detained 30 people overnight in Indian Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's main city of Srinagar, local officials said on Tuesday, seeking to keep a tight lid on protests over the federal government's decision to strip the region of its autonomy.

Crowds have demonstrated frequently in the city despite a severe clampdown on phone and internet services, a ban on public gatherings and detentions of hundreds of politicians and separatists who have long campaigned for secession from India.

Youth have pelted stones at paramilitary police deployed in Srinagar, and the latest detentions took place in parts of the city where such incidents have occurred, a police officer said.

"These arrests have been made in the areas where there has been intensifying stone pelting in the last few days," the officer said, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
because of the sensitivity of the situation.

A local government official confirmed the latest detentions.

Authorities in Indian Kashmir on Monday said the protests were local and small in nature involving no more than a dozen people. Still, primary schools remained deserted on Tuesday as they were the previous day as parents worried about the safety of their children kept them at home.

Rooters visited three schools in Srinagar including Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School and no students had turned up and classes were deserted.

"Some teachers reported to duty but left as there were no students", said an official of the school.

Authorities had ordered schools to reopen on Monday after a two-week closure as a sign of normality. Srinagar's top city official Shahid Choudhary asked schools to ensure resumption of bus services.

A driver, however, said it was difficult to operate buses in such a volatile situation. "It is very risky for us and the students," he said.

#1  Of course it'll take a while. Both for normalcy to return and for Kashmiris to stop worrying and learn to love the boot.

Normalcy is not returning after a month, it has not been there for decades. The normalcy that the islamics want shall never return to Kashmir.

Shariah laws, impunity from arrest, anti-police and anti-India activities. Masked agitation, the dung green islamic flag, the isis flags, cursing and stoning cops, attacking their families. Bomb blasts and attacks every other day. It's not coming back.

The jamaat sponsored extremism may try to resurrect itself in a pre-mortem surge of resistance, but most of its means and facilitators have been cut off.

Iraq
Iran-backed militia weapons depot in Saladin rocked by explosions
[Rudaw] A weapons depot belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) at al-Balad military base in Saladin province was rocked by explosions on Tuesday night, leaving the base engulfed in flames. The explosion is one of a series to have hit bases belonging to Iran-backed militias in recent weeks.

The depot belongs to Iranian-backed PMF militia Kataib Hezbollah, former spokesperson for the group Karim Noori told Rudaw on Tuesday.

"The reason of the fire and the earth-shattering kabooms inside the weapons depot near al-Balad air base is still unknown," Noori said.
"It's Allan's Will™!"
Investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing, he added.

Improper storage of weapons has been ruled out as a potential reason for the earth-shattering kaboom, Saladin MP Muhammed Baldawi told Rudaw. He suggested that al-Balad had instead been targeted in an attack.

"Both the Iraqi forces and the PMF are present at the base. There are also US F-16 jet trainers," Baldawi told Rudaw on Tuesday.

"There are no casualties reported, but PMF weapons have been completely destroyed," he added.

Iraqi Defense Minister and Iraqi Army chief of staff Najih al-Shimari arrived to al-Balad base on Tuesday night to investigate, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.

Bases belonging to the PMF, otherwise known as Hashd al-Shaabi, have faced a series of mysterious attacks in recent weeks.

On August 13, a massive blast engulfed an arms depot at the al-Saqr military base belonging to a PMF militia in the Dora neighborhood of Baghdad. One person was killed and 13 were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom.

While hot weather and negligent storage were blamed for the incident, some have called for investigations into the earth-shattering kaboom, claiming that foreign hands may have been behind the attacks.

In July, an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
blamed on an ISIS drone hit a PMF base in Amerli, Diyala province, injuring two PMF fighters. Two Iranian advisors working with the PMF were maimed in the strike.

Speculation on who is behind the attacks is swirling. Israel, which fears Iran

could be using Iraq to store weaponry, is one of the suspected perpetrators.

"We will act ‐ and currently are acting ‐ against them [Iran], wherever it is necessary," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reported as saying in an August 19 hotel briefing in Ukraine by The Times of Israel.

Turkish missile strike allegedly targets PKK vehicle in Duhok village
[Rudaw] A Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
hit what was alleged to be a Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) vehicle near a Duhok village on Tuesday, local eyewitness told Rudaw, causing panic among the village’s few and fear-ridden remaining residents.

Bayar Tahir, a resident of the village of Babire in Duhok's Mangeshki sub-district, was at a village spring with other locals when they heard Ottoman Turkish jets flying overhead at 10:30am.

"We were afraid [the jets would hit us] and left the spring to go back to the village," Tahir told Rudaw.

On their return to Babire, Tahir said he saw two missiles being fired from the Ottoman Turkish jet, at least one of which hit a PKK vehicle.

He also claimed to have witnessed three PKK guerillas being killed by the strike.

Orchards and groves belonging to locals were left destroyed, he added.

Mohammed Ismael, another resident of Babire, also told Rudaw that the Ottoman Turkish airstrike targeted a PKK vehicle in the same location.

"This has caused much fear among the locals," he said.

Mushtaq Ismat, director of the Mangeshk sub-district, confirmed the incident to Rudaw.

Despite there being no reported civilian casualties, the airstrike has stoked "fear in the area," "especially among those who were close to where the missile struck," Ismat said.

Babire has already been close to entirely evacuated by the village's original 40-50 families in the face of increased PKK-The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
hostility, Tahir said, while its remaining villagers - 5 families' worth - return only in the summer months.

"Residents are tired. They want to pack up and leave the village," he explained.

Babire is left particularly vulnerable to casualties because of its remote location. In the event of a local being injured by airstrikes, the nearest emergency hospital is an hour away, Tahir added.

Both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and federal government in Baghdad have repeatedly called on Ankara to cease its offensives, while also calling on the PKK to stop endangering civilians and leave Kurdistan Region territory.

Palestinian teen indicted, 2 men held in Tisha B’Av attack on Jewish driver
[IsraelTimes] Several men seen in Jerusalem video footage smashing car’s windows with rocks, striking Haredi driver, until cop shoots in air to scatter attackers.

An East Jerusalem teen was charged Tuesday with taking part in a violent attack on an Israeli driver passing through a Paleostinian neighborhood of the capital.

In dramatic footage of the incident in the early hours of August 11, young men can be seen surrounding a car driven by a man in Haredi dress near the intersection of Salah ad-Din and Sultan Suleiman streets in East Jerusalem.

The men can be seen smashing the car’s windows with rocks and other objects, and attacking the driver. According to media reports, they also sprayed him with pepper spray.

The attack was stopped when a police officer in an unmarked car in front of the driver stepped out of his vehicle and fired three shots into the air, scattering the attackers.

The driver was lightly hurt in the attack, and was taken to hospital with a bleeding but superficial head wound. The car was heavily damaged, according to Hebrew media reports.

Three suspects were arrested last week after police obtained the security footage of the attack, including a 17-year-old charged Tuesday with assault. The other two suspects were later released, but on Monday police arrested two other East Jerusalem men, aged 19 and 21, authorities said Tuesday.

The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court has extended their remand until Thursday.

Earlier in the evening, a right-wing Israeli march had passed by the same intersection near the Old City, drawing anger from locals. Police were needed to keep the groups separated.

Anti-Assad fighters withdraw from key area of northwest Syria: Monitor
“Curley-toed slippers, don’t fail me now!”
[AlAhram] Jihadists and allied rebels withdrew from a key area of northwestern Syria Tuesday as Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Scourge of Qusayr...
's forces pressed an offensive against the jihadist-run Idlib region, a war monitor said.

The fighters pulled back from the town of Khan Sheikun and the countryside to its south overnight and in the early hours of Tuesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The withdrawal means an important Ottoman Turkish observation point in the nearby town of Morek is effectively surrounded by government forces, Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.

On Monday, a Ottoman Turkish military convoy crossed the border into the Idlib region, sparking condemnation from Damascus as Ankara alleged air strikes had targeted its troops.

The convoy halted just north of Khan Sheikhun on Monday afternoon and remained there on Tuesday, after government forces took control of a section of the highway into the town.

Pro-government newspaper al-Watan said Monday morning's strike targeted a rebel vehicle scouting the road in front of the Ottoman Turkish convoy.

"The Syrian army in its own way sent a clear message to the Ottoman Turkish regime by forcing convoys sent by Ankara to help the bandidos forces of Evil in Khan Sheikhun to come to a halt," it said.

It was a "clear warning against any Ottoman Turkish attempt to resuscitate the terrorists," the paper said, adding that the strike had "Russian support".

After eight years of civil war, the Idlib region on the border with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
is the last major stronghold of opposition to President Bashir al-Assad's regime.

Since January, it has been administered by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
alliance, which is led by jihadists from Syria's former al-Qaeda affiliate.

The war in Syria has killed more than 370,000 people since the rebels first took arms following the brutal repression of anti-government protests in 2011.

Rival interventions by outside powers have turned it into a complex conflict with multiple battle fronts that has driven millions of civilians from their homes.
Dawn adds:
Syria, however, said the Ottoman Turkish convoy was carrying ammunition to rebels who have lost ground this month amid a government offensive to retake their last stronghold in the country.

The incident ratcheted up tensions in the region, a current ground zero in Syria’s long-running civil war in which Ottoman Turkish, Russian, US and Iranian interests are fighting.

Syria’s Foreign Ministry said the convoy of armoured vehicles was delivering weapons to Khan Sheikhoun, a major rebel-held town that lies on the front line of fighting along the southern edge of the Idlib enclave. The town is a stronghold of Al Qaeda-linked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else, the most powerful bully boy group in the area.

It was not immediately clear whether the air strikes were carried out by Syrian or Russian warplanes. The convoy consisted of several armoured vehicles and flatbed trucks carrying tanks.

The Ottoman Turkish move into Idlib appears to be a message by Ankara that it won’t allow Syrian forces to capture Khan Sheikhoun. Syrian government forces reached its outskirts earlier on Monday. The town’s fall would also cut the highway linking Idlib to northern parts of Hama province, home to one of Turkey’s 12 observation posts on the edges of Idlib province.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, and Idlib-based opposition activist Mazen al-Shami, reported that Syrian troops reached the M5 highway north of Khan Sheikhoun, making it more difficult for rebels and civilians to move between Idlib and rebels in northern parts of Hama province.

Under a deal reached last year between Russia and Turkey, the highway was supposed to be open by the end of 2018 but it never happened. Now, Syrian troops appear to be trying to open it by force.

Al Nusra says still has fighters in Khan Sheikhoun

[Ynet] A Syrian jihadist group said on Tuesday rebel fighters had redeployed in the southern part of the town of Khan Sheikhoun and still controlled towns in adjoining area of Hama province, after a war monitor said insurgents had withdrawn from the area.

"After ferocious bombardment by the criminal enemy forces ... the mujahideen last night repositioned in the south of Khan Sheikhoun town with the southern part still under the control of the mujahideen," the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group said in a statement distributed on its Telegram channel.

Turkish regime and its mercenaries continue repressive acts against locals in Afrin, Aleppo countryside
[SANA.SY] In the framework of the task assigned to them, mercenaries of the Ottoman Turkish regime of the terrorist organizations which are positioned in Afrin area along with the forces of the Ottoman Turkish occupation, continue their terrorist and repressive practices which are represented in the acts of killing and kidnapping against the locals in the areas which have been occupied by the forces of the Ottoman Turkish regime since March last year.

Local and media sources said that a civilian from the locals of Afrin was tortured to death at one of the cells in the prisons of the so-called "Al-Hamzat Division- the Free Army" terrorist organization which is one of the criminal tools of the Ottoman Turkish regime in Afrin City in Aleppo northwestern countryside in parallel with kidnapping another person in the surroundings of the city by the so-call "al-Amshat Faction- the Free Army" and demanding a ransom of USD 3 thousand from his family.

Meanwhile,
...back at the saloon, Butch got the bill for the damage caused by the fist fight, the mirror broken in the shootout, and drinks for everyone......
in Azaz City in Aleppo northern countryside which is controlled by the so-called "Free Army", a person was found killed by unknown button men in a recurring incident against the locals in the areas which are the strongholds of terrorist groups that are directly linked to the Ottoman Turkish regime.

Since it was occupied on March 18th last year, Afrin City and its countryside have been witnessing continued attempts by the regime of Erdogan to impose its schemes depending on certain practices which affected different walks of life such as replacing the names of certain areas and the main squares with Ottoman Turkish names in an attempt to obliterate their real identity, in addition to imposing the Ottoman Turkish language as a main subject at the schools and hoisting the Ottoman Turkish flag on them.

Tens of media reports, in addition to local sources from the area have affirmed that the forces of the Ottoman Turkish occupation in cooperation with their mercenaries of faceless myrmidons have forced the residents to make new identity cards to use them at the "official" directorates in the city in a way which recalls what has been done by the Zionist occupation in the Golan and Paleostine.

The regime of Erdogan has also worked on obliterating the cultural and historical identity of the area through destroying all the archeological monuments in it which are icons that refer to the Arabism of the area.

The Ottoman Turkish forces and warplanes have destroyed many archeological sites in Afrin city such as Ain Zara temple and the archeological sites of al-Nabi Houri and Tal Jandares, in addition to destroying the archeological site of Barad to the south of Afrin City which is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
