-Lurid Crime Tales-
‘Sorry scumbag!' – Juanita Broaddrick SLAMS Geraldo after he said this
[Right Scoop] Bill Clinton victim Juanita Broaddrick slapped down Geraldo Rivera bad on Twitter, and reminded people what he said about her in 2016.
You are a sorry scumbag @GeraldoRivera. How dare you refer to my Horrific Rape by Bill Clinton as an affair. Hearing your name makes me "Throw up in my mouth". REMEMBER?? THAT’S WHAT YOU SAID WHEN MY NAME WAS BROUGHT UP IN 2016 on Fox News. https://t.co/3RAEcSwyUT
‐ Juanita Broaddrick (@atensnut) August 24, 2018

Wow. I’m not sure that Geraldo meant to undermine the pain Broaddrick went through in that tweet, but if he said what she claims, then that’s pretty awful of him.

It’s not the first time she’s made the claim:

#1  Broaddrick is not alone in her honest disgust of Herroldo. On Aug. 23 he was called out on FOX was called out by Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R). The guest completely, loudly ripped Dems and Rivera for his unconditional support for illegals.

Oddly enough Tibbett's killer is named Rivera.

And Jeritoldo calling Clinton raping a women an "affair"? POS, send him back to Afghanistan but embedded with the Talibunnies.

Geraldo: Damn It, We Shouldn't Be Turning This Murder By An Illegal Immigrant Into A Story About An Illegal Immigrant
[Hot Air] The debate he and Martha MacCallum have in the clip below was so predictable that MacCallum didn’t bother to bring on a right-wing opponent to have it out with him. Why bother? She could easily handle it herself. Every time an American citizen is killed by an illegal, intentionally or not, the conversation proceeds the same way. In sum:

Geraldo: This is a tragedy but we mustn’t blame the entire illegal population for the terrible acts of one monster.
MacCallum: I’m not blaming all of them. But the fact remains that Mollie Tibbetts’s death was avoidable because the killer shouldn’t have been here.

Geraldo: What about all the American citizens who murdered people this week?

MacCallum: Like it or not, those people had a right to be here. Tibbetts’s killer didn’t.

Geraldo: This is a murder story, not an immigration story!
MacCallum: He. Shouldn’t. Have. Been. Here.

Is it too late to Jail John Brennan?
[American Thinker] If you were alive in 1940, for an even dollar (or for 83¢ if you were an annual subscriber), you could have bought a copy of Fortune magazine and read the results of its July 1940 survey that shed light on the prevailing political views of your fellow Americans. If you had done this, you would have learned that 37.8 percent of respondents thought communist sympathizers should be jailed or deported.

As Americans fought in World War II and then in the Korean War, staunch anti-communist sentiment continued. In 1954, 71.8% of Americans thought communists should not be allowed to make speeches in their communities, and 93.6% thought communists teaching at American colleges should be fired.

While in the 1940s and 1950s, one might have expected a public debate about whether we should jail or deport communist sympathizers, limit their speech, or fire them from their teaching jobs, today, these notions seem a bit over the top.

Instead, today you can be a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America as well as a self-proclaimed communist and still graduate from our military academies. Just ask Spenser Rapone and his mentor at West Point, Professor Rasheed Hosein.

Today, not only can you work for the United States government as a communist sympathizer, but you can even become the director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Just ask John Brennan.

Americans should not be surprised by any of this, as far-left ideologies have become the mainstream. Today, the majority of Democrats, 57%, view socialism favorably, while only 47% of them view capitalism favorably.

This massive shift within the American polity will no doubt manifest itself the next time the Democratic Party takes power of the federal government. Just ask the DSA member and the Democratic Party's nominee for New York's 14th Congressional District, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

So to answer the original question as to whether it is too late to jail John Brennan: yes, it is too late. We are about 75 years too late to jail Brennan...for being a communist sympathizer, that is.

But for being the "puppet master of the entire scheme to violate the civil liberties of Donald Trump and his [campaign] team," we very well may be just a couple years too early.

#8  From Wikipedia:

Max Boot (born September 12, 1969) is an American author, consultant, editorialist, lecturer, and military historian.[1] He worked as a writer and editor for Christian Science Monitor and then for The Wall Street Journal in the 1990s. He is now Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow in National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. He has written for numerous publications such as The Weekly Standard, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times, and he has also authored books of military history.[2] Boot's most recent book, 2018's The Road Not Taken, is a biography of Edward Lansdale.

Boot was born in Moscow.[3] His parents, both Russian Jews, later emigrated from the Soviet Union to Los Angeles, where he was raised.[3][4] Boot was educated at the University of California, Berkeley (BA, History, 1991) and Yale University (MA, Diplomatic History, 1992).[1] He started his journalistic career writing columns for the Berkeley student newspaper The Daily Californian.[5] He later stated that he believes he is the only conservative writer in that paper's history.[5] Boot and his family currently live in the New York area.[1]

South Africa's Ramaphosa disappointingly slow to embrace private sector
[News24] President Cyril Ramaphosa has been disappointingly slow to embrace the private sector in SA, political analyst Daniel Silke said on Friday.

He was one of the presenters at an international retirement seminar hosted by Sovereign Trust SA in Cape Town.

"There is an opportunity for the SA government to embrace the private sector. Ramaphosa promised in his State of the Nation address to institute a process to have a presidential economic advisory committee and to take decision making beyond just the ANC. We have not seen much of that. It has been extremely slow," said Silke.

"If there is one thing Ramaphosa can do, it is getting on with the job of moving beyond the myopic Soviet just-ANC vision and rather reaching out to the private sector regarding the economy."

He had not seen much evidence of Ramaphosa trying to rope in the private sector for much-needed efforts to bridge the gap between rich and poor.

Trump renews attack on Attorney General Jeff Sessions, claiming 'real corruption goes untouched'
[ABC] President Trump lashed out again at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, saying he lets "real corruption" go untouched while special counsel Robert Mueller's team is "having a field day."

Trump appeared to be responding to an unusual statement by the attorney generals this week defending himself against the president’s attacks, with Sessions saying: "While I am Attorney General, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations."

The president shot back in a tweet Saturday morning that Sessions "doesn't understand what is happening" beneath him. The tweet reiterated the president's attack on the special counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election as politically motivated and a distraction from "real corruption."

Impeachment for Dummies
[PJ] At the very moment the GNP is humming along at 4.1 percent, the S & P is at record highs, and unemployment is at record lows (for blacks and Hispanics too), the infantile buffoons in the Democratic Party and their mainstream media lackeys are calling so loudly and incessantly for the impeachment of the president you'd have to be on the North Col of Everest not to hear them. And even then you'd have to be wearing the most expensive noise-canceling ear muffs extant.

And of course they are screaming equally loudly, "Russia-Russia-Russia" when anyone with an IQ within spitting distance of triple digits knows the real problem for the USA has been China by roughly 400X for the last decade or longer.

If you're looking for someone to impeach, how about Dianne Feinstein who, we just learned, had a Chinese spy as her chauffeur for twenty years, even while she was chair of the Senate Intel Committee? At virtually the same time ‐ 2010-ish, when Obama was president ‐ close to the entire U.S. spy network in China, several dozen people, were apprehended by the Chinese on their soil in an unprecedented intelligence disaster. Only a few survived. Connection? Perhaps the New York Times or the Washington Post will investigate (as if).

Spengler: War of Attrition Against President Trump
[PjMedia] Precisely how does Bill Clinton's main legal fixer turn up as Michael Cohen's attorney in a plea bargain with a special prosecutor?

If you put that kind of plot line in a political thriller, the public would laugh you off the newsstand book racks. Nonetheless, we now have Lanny Davis, special counsel to the president for Bill Clinton during 1996-1998, declaring to CNN: "It's my observation that Mr. Cohen has knowledge that would be of interest to the special counsel about the issue of whether Donald Trump, ahead of time, knew about the hacking of emails, which is a computer crime." On Tuesday Davis told MSNBC that Cohen knew about "the possibility of a conspiracy to collude and corrupt the American democracy system in the 2016 election."

There you have it, boys and girls: None of this has anything to do with paying off floozies who claimed to have done the dirty with a presidential candidate. No one cares about that. It's about using the legal system to extract "confessions" from Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen that will keep the Black Legend alive of a Russian hack of the 2016 elections. Cohen has no more knowledge of this, I am ready to wager, than he does of space aliens colonizing Chicago. Nonetheless, the swamp and their pet jackals in the media will spin new allegations until the public gets dizzy.

...There's no collusion, no smoking gun, no high crime or misdemeanor in all of this: There's no secret at the bottom of the garbage pile that will bring down the Trump presidency. It's not a criminal investigation. It's a war of attrition, intended to distract and ultimately exhaust the president.
Of course, this particular president may thrive on such war

Science & Technology
So, Why Has U.S. Life Expectancy Declined Now Two Years In A Row?
BLUF:
[Hot Air] So, what’s going on? Ans: A number of things, some passing, some apparently systemic.

Reuters reports it’s a combination of factors starting with a particularly vicious cycle of flu seasons, which is especially deadly among the elderly. Many population cohorts like baby boomers are aging and succumbing to diseases that often claim the elderly like pneumonia, cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s diseases.

In the U.S. a major reason for the life expectancy decline came from younger generations, people in their 20s and 30s who died from the ongoing epidemic of drug addiction and overdoses.

One study’s lead author is Dr. Steven H. Woolf of Virginia Commonwealth University. He said:

A leading cause is fatal drug overdoses ‐ fueled by the opioid epidemic. But we make a mistake if we focus only on the drug problem.

Woolf also cited what he calls "deaths of despair," fatalities stemming from alcoholism and suicide.

That study also uncovered a growing midlife death rate from numerous diseases of the lungs, heart, lungs, digestive systems and other organs and rising death rates during pregnancy and early childhood.

The specific reasons for the increase in deaths caused by drugs and alcohol, particularly among white Americans, Woolf said, is "unclear, complex, and not explained by opioids alone."

He added, "Something far-reaching is affecting the health of Americans in the prime of their lives."

Yep. Where I live premium + deductible have reached 500% of pre-ACA levels but that's not apples-to-apples as what's left is a crappy HMO and what 20% of the cost of the HMO bought before was a gold-plated low deductible plan. There's now a grand total of one seller of individual & small business plans. No coverage is available that covers issues that occur outside the state and the better health care providers in urban areas within the state are not available to residents of rural areas. The ACA is very literally killing people where I live.

#12  Obamacare only went full force in 2015-16, and we are reaping the "rewards" now of less availability of healthcare. People put things off because they cant afford it or they cant afford Obamacares insurance.

A lot of good medical people, MDs, are quitting or going to cash-only.

And there is a nursing shortage thats only gotten worse: retirement understaffing and burnout are costing us the most experienced RNs. And to top it off, the millennials are not getting into the field in sufficient numbers to even come close to partially replace them.

Its the payoff for Soros, Clinton, Obama, Reid, Pelosi and progressives, designed to produce more depression so they can push for bigger more controlling government that they can run.

Eight women open up about being on the pill
[BBC] Some 500 million women around the world have used the birth control pill at some point in their lives, including four out of five sexually active women in the US and seven out of 10 of all women in the UK. Since their introduction in 1950, oral contraceptives have prevented billions of unwanted pregnancies around the world. They’ve also ushered in a social and economic revolution.

But for some women, the pill has had a downside: though many users report no side effects from the pill, others have the opposite experience. Recognised potential side effects include everything from depression to blood clots like deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Increasing attention about these risks may be part of the reason why, in the UK, the number of women taking hormonal birth control has been declining in recent years, with women turning to non-hormonal or long-acting reversible contraceptives instead.

Eight women around the globe ‐ from the US to Nepal, Venezuela to Tanzania ‐ tell us about how the birth control pill was for them... and why they decided to go off it. Watch the video, above, to hear what they have to say.

This story is part of the Health Gap, a special series about how men and women experience the medical system ‐ and their own health ‐ in starkly different ways.

#1  It's hard enough to stay healthy without intentionally messing with your endocrine system. If you believe some of what you read, I (a man) am "on the pill" because it's in the water supply. I don't buy that, but in the age of "climate research" pseudo-science, who knows?

#2  Ref #1. Yes, the progs believe 'people and industry' are to blame for messing up the natural order of the planet, but chemically altering the human endocrine and reproductive system.... not a problem.

#3  Certain versions of the Pill have warning labels about causing depression or being dangerous for those diagnosed with depression. This is supposed to be a rare side effect, but both trailing daughters discovered the hard way that they fell into that group. It took a full, miserable year for the effects to wear off for trailing daughter #1, during which she had to keep reminding herself that those thoughts were not her own.

#4  There is a procedure called Natural Family Planning that is very effective. You can read about it at “http://americanpregnancy.org/preventing-pregnancy/natural-family-planning/”.
