--Tech & Moderator Notes
Under the hood
We've had a problem with spam comments going in for days gone by for several years, even though the comments for a day shut off with midnight rollover. I guess they count for Google points or something. I've been afraid to tackle them because I was afraid of killing legitimate comments along with the machine-generated crap. Instead I just went in now and then and dumped them by hand.

Last night I dumped about 87,000 of the stinkers. I hadn't cleaned house in a week or so, but that was still too significant to ignore. So I wrote a routine to divert them to a holding table, which I can clean out periodically.

If you make a comment and it's lost (which doesn't include Smoked or Spam Copped or otherwise sink trapped) let me know and I'll see if it got diverted. If we go for a month or so without losing any real comments the crap can go directly into the bit bucket.

#7  They switch IP adresses, but you're right. In the 3000 or so we've been gifted with overnight there aren't more than a couple dozen and IPs. They're all bots. I checked a few of the IPs and they came up as France and Ukraine. If I check further I'll come up with Moldova, Russia, maybe China.

Since no more spam's shown up in the comments table since last night I'm not going to worry my pretty little head about it.

If we lose legit comments, that's a problem. Otherwise, problem solved.

Afghanistan
Taliban kill six de-miners in western Afghanistan
[Dhaka Tribune] The Taliban shot and killed six people working for a demining company in western Afghanistan, police said yesterday, a day after the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
said the number of civilian casualties in the country jumped by a quarter in the first half of 2014.

"The Taliban killed six de-miners from the Halo Trust landmine clearance organization while they were on an operation in Kohsan district of Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
. They kidnapped three people," said Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, a front man for the provincial police chief.

"The de-miners started their trip very early in the morning and hadn't informed the police," Ahmadi said, adding that a manhunt was under way to rescue the three kidnapped workers.

The United Nations has documented 4,853 civilian casualties in Afghanistan, including 1,564 civilian deaths and 3,289 injuries, in the period between Jan. 1 to June 30.

In southern Zabul province, four coppers were killed by three of their colleagues overnight. The rogue coppers have since defected to the Taliban with guns and a police vehicle.

"The incident took place in Jaldak district of Zabul. An investigation is under way," Zabul deputy governor, Mohammad Jan Rasoulyar, told Rooters.

Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is in the process of pulling staff members from the country.

The decision to withdraw several dozen people from multiple departments was prompted by deteriorating security conditions, UNSMIL front man Samir Ghattas told Libya Herald on Wednesday (July 9th).

In other news Wednesday, two people were killed by unknown assailants in Benghazi. Former revolutionary and well-known political activist Khalifa Hamed Al-Maghrabi, known as "Chico", was rubbed out in Sidi Hussein.

Commanders Suggest A 2nd Group In Benghazi Attacks
[AP] Well-trained attackers executed the deadly dawn assault on a CIA complex in Benghazi, Libya, suggesting different perpetrators from those who penetrated the U.S. diplomatic mission the previous night, according to newly revealed testimony from top military commanders.

The initial attack, on Sept. 11, 2012, killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and communications specialist Sean Smith and set the mission ablaze. Nearly eight hours later at the CIA complex nearby, two more Americans, contract security officers Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, died in a mortar attack that showed clear military training, retired Gen. Carter Ham told Congress in closed-door testimony earlier this year.

The House Armed Services Committee released the testimony Wednesday.

The second assault probably was the work of a new team of faceless myrmidons who had seized on reports of violence at the diplomatic mission the night before and hit the Americans while they were most vulnerable, according to testimony that could clarify the events. The testimony also reveals how little information the military had on which to base an urgent response.

The writer was was pooh-poohing further investigation because the Benghazi attack had been investigated thoroughly (obviously a Donk) and it was time to move on as there was nothing to see since the investigation always got the same consistent answers. Looks like we haven't seen everything there is to see. Had the writer had one of his relatives murdered, I'm certain he would want to uncover everything about the murder. He wouldn't accept some perp's answer: "I didn't do it, it's time to move on." Stevens and others who were murdered are entitled to the same.

No confirmation on Dattakhel drone strike
[DAWN] The Pakistain Foreign Office on Thursday did not confirm a drone attack in North Wazoo tribal region which reportedly killed six suspected murderous Moslems earlier today.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said there is no confirmation on the fresh drone attack.

" Pakistain's position on US drone attacks is very clear. Pakistain strongly opposes such attacks particularly at a time when the military operation is underway in North Waziristan," Aslam said reiterating the FO's position on drones.

The drone attack reportedly took place in North Waziristan's Dattakhel area
... which is owned and operated by Hafiz Gul Behadur...
where the unmanned aircraft fired missiles at a house and a vehicle.

Intelligence sources said two missiles were fired from a US drone targeting a compound and vehicle in Madakhel village of Dattakhel tehsil.

Sources added that six suspected murderous Moslems were killed whereas the compound and the vehicle were destroyed in the strike.

The identities of those killed in the strikes have not yet been ascertained.

Earlier on June 12, separate US aerial drones had fired missiles at Lion of Islam hideouts. The two successive US drone strikes had killed at least 16 suspected murderous Moslems in North Waziristan.

Meanwhile,

Pakistani Taliban Group Declares Allegiance to ISIS
[Tolo News] The Pak Taliban group of Tahreek-e-Khilafat (the Caliphate Movement) declared their allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), one of the hard boy warring groups in the Middle East.

The ISIS has captured vast areas of Iraq and Syria under the leadership of Al-Baghdadi. Recently, the group has started to gain much influence in the Afghanistan-Pakistain border as well as some other areas in central and southern Asia. The group is said to be a potential rival to the Al-Qaeda network, to which it claims no ties.

Analysts believe that since Pakistain is a safe haven to many surge groups, there is a high possibility that some other murderous Moslems groups will also pledge allegiance to Al-Baghdadi.

"ISIS might not offer any practical aids to the surge groups in the tribal areas of Pakistain; but the groups could get inspirations from ISIS and follow their policy regardless," Pak military analyst, Amir Rana, said.

Analysts assert that there are proper grounds for ISIS's influence in the Afghanistan-Pakistain border regions, pointing to the fact that 234 turban groups already operate in Pakistain, about 60 of which seem eager to join ISIS.
Analysts assert that there are proper grounds for ISIS's influence in the Afghanistan-Pakistain border regions, pointing to the fact that 234 bad boy groups already operate in Pakistain, about 60 of which seem eager to join ISIS.

"I think that ISIS maintains some roots in Pakistain," Afghan military analyst, Jawed Kohistan
...a backwoods district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distinguished by being even more rustic than is the norm among the local Pashtuns....
i said. "There are some ISIS fighters who wear Pakol caps [native to Afghanistan-Pakistain border]. It is highly likely that they were trained in Pakistain. This increases the possibility of their activities alongside the Afghan border."

The ISIS presence and activities in some parts of Pakistain has intensified concerns about the expansion of violence in the region.

"One of the main factors behind the massive military operations in Wazoo was to halt the influence of ISIS and other terrorist groups," Pak analyst Kamran Yousaf said. "If Pakistain failed to halt the threats, the turban groups will cause major threats after the drawdown of the U.S. forces."

The influence of ISIS in Pakistain's tribal regions will not only cripple Pakistain, but will also pose major threats to the national security of Afghanistan.

"If Pakistain does not take serious action against the possible ISIS activities, the group will destroy Pakistain and pose serious threats to Afghanistan," military commentator, Mia Gul Wasiq, said.

Tahreek-e-Khilafat—previously had close ties with the Al-Qaeda Network—has hoisted the ISIS flag in their stronghold areas near the Afghan border, raising national and regional concerns.

Muslim bloc urges UN to halt Gaza bloodshed
[Al Ahram] The world's largest Moslem bloc Thursday urged the UN Security Council to force a halt to Israel's air war on Gazoo that has killed more than 80 Paleostinians in three days.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, after a meeting of its executive committee in the Saudi city of Jeddah, said it was forming a ministerial team to lobby the Security Council and international community "to halt the Israeli aggression".

The 57-member OIC said it would also push for an urgent meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to investigate "the crimes of occupying power Israel and its violations of the rights of Paleostinians".

"Israel has violated all international and human conventions," charged the Saudi secretary of state for foreign affairs, Nizar Abid, who chaired the Jeddah meeting.
"How dare those sons of pigs and monkeys defend themselves as if they were human!" he added.
In New York, meanwhile, UN chief the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon
... of whom it can be said to his credit that he is not Kofi Annan...
appealed for a ceasefire.

"It is now more urgent than ever to try to find common ground for a return to calm and a ceasefire understanding," he told an emergency meeting of the Security Council.

Netanyahu: Ceasefire isn't on the agenda
A ceasefire with Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, forces of Evil in Gazoo is "not even on the agenda," Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu told a parliamentary committee Thursday, an Israeli newspaper reported.

"I am not talking to anybody about a ceasefire right now," the website of Haaretz newspaper quoted Netanyahu as telling the Knesset's foreign affairs and defence committee.

"It's not even on the agenda."

Israel has been pounding targets in the Gazoo Strip for three days, since beginning an offensive named Operation Protective Edge in response to Hamas rocket fire.

Since the beginning of the flare-up, at least 80 Paleostinians have been killed.

No Israelis have been killed.

Netanyahu said he would not heed calls from hardline rightwing members of his government to cut electricity to Gazoo, which Israel supplies.

"We can't do what the Russians did to the Chechens," Haaretz quoted him as saying.

"Gazoo is on a knife edge. The deteriorating situation is leading to a downward spiral which could quickly get beyond anyone's control," UN chief Ban Ki-moon warned ahead of an emergency meeting of the Security Council at 1400 GMT.

Iraq
Insurgents enter military base northeast of Baghdad
[Al Ahram] Sunni bully boyz battling forces loyal to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki broke into a military base in Diyala province northeast of Baghdad on Thursday, a security source and a local official said.

They said holy warriors fought their way into the base on the edge of Muqdadiya town, 80 km (50 miles) northeast of the capital. The northern side of the town was already under their control before Thursday's festivities.

The area around Muqdadiya has seen sustained fighting in recent weeks since fighters led by the hardline Islamic State, an offshoot of Al-Qaeda, seized the northern city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and swept south towards Baghdad.

The security source said the bully boyz on Thursday included hundreds of non-Iraqi Arab fighters, heavily armed and some riding in tanks. Negotiations were underway involving local tribal sheikhs for a truce, the source said.

A local official confirmed the holy warriors had breached the site, although he said they would be repulsed. "They were able to control part of the base but we will retake it from them," he said, requesting that he not be identified.

A military front man was not immediately available to comment.

Thousands of volunteers have signed up to join militia forces fighting alongside the army and security forces, many of whom retreated or threw off their uniforms in the face of the initial Death Eater offensive.

Maliki has vowed to rout the murderous Moslems.

Videos Show Lebanese Jihadi Group Active In Gaza
[Jpost] The Saraya Yehya Ayyash group has posted pictures and video of itself on social media, launching rockets from Gazoo into Israel.

The al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades
... Leb's current al-Qaeda affiliate, named after a guy whose car the current head of al-Qaeda had boomed...
, which has grabbed credit in the past for rocket fire at Israel from Leb, now claims, for the first time, that it is behind rocket attacks on Israel from the Gazoo Strip.

According to information gleaned by the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor of MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute), and shared exclusively with The Jerusalem Post, the Saraya Yehya Ayyash group, which is part of the Azzam Brigades, has posted pictures and video of itself on social media, launching rockets from Gazoo into Israel.

This is the first time that we have heard about the al-Qaeda group's presence in Gazoo, MEMRI told the Post on Thursday.

The four-minute video shows Saraya Yehya Ayyash men firing rockets from the Strip. Some are shown to be concealed in tubes under the ground.

The Azzam Brigades tweeted pictures showing its men from the Saraya Yehya Ayyash preparing to launch their rockets.

In one tweet by Sheikh Sirajuddin Zureiqat, the front man for the group, he said the picture showed a rocket launch against "the Jews."

The US government has designated the Abdullah Azzam Brigades a terrorist organization.

The organization was created in 2009 and is based both in Leb and the Arabian Peninsula, according to the US State Department website.

Rocket Hits Ashdod Gas Station, One Serious Injury
A rocket fired by terrorists in the Hamas enclave of Gaza hit a gas station in the coastal city of Ashdod on Friday morning, causing at least one serious injury.

The rocket, which came as part of a salvo of roughly 20 rockets, damaged a gas tanker truck, reports Yedioth Aharonoth. The explosion reportedly set off a large fire at the station, which firefighting crews managed to control after a short time.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medical teams are treating someone at the gas station who was inflicted a serious injury by the rocket. At least two others were treated by the medics for mild wounds.

Day 4 (7-11) Times of Israel blog of the conflict
By nightfall Thursday (7-10), over 350 rockets had been fired at Israel, about 90 of them intercepted by Iron Dome, and the Israeli Air Force had carried out almost 900 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip; Palestinian reports said at least 90 Palestinians had been killed. Late Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Israelis to brace for a lengthy conflict, and Israel was massing increased forces on the Gaza border for a possible ground offensive.

Defense committee chair wants to reduce Gaza’s electricity, water

Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman, MK Ze’ev Elkin, argues that Israel should pressure Hamas by reducing the electricity and water supply to the Gaza Strip. If such a move brings an end to the rocket fire, it would be a far more humane means of squeezing Hamas than a potential Israeli ground invasion, Elkin argues.

“This operation must reach a point that Hamas is hurt enough to bring quiet to southern residents,” he tells Army Radio this afternoon.

“If there is no choice, we’ll launch a ground operation. But we have to consider pressuring [Hamas] with other tools. We continue to provide electricity and water to Gaza. [Reducing the supply of both] would be more humane than a ground invasion, which would lead to significant deaths on our side and theirs.”

Israel escalates aerial offensive on Gaza, death toll reaches 85
[Al Ahram] Israel dramatically escalated its aerial assault targeting hundreds of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, sites in the Gazoo Strip Thursday as Paleostinians reported the strikes also hit a home and a beachside cafe, raising the total number of people killed in this week's offensive to at least 85.

Israel's missile defense system also once again intercepted rockets fired by forces of Evil at the country's heartland.

Military front man Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said Israel struck more than 320 Hamas targets overnight, focusing on underground tunnel networks and rocket launching sites. In all, the military has struck 750 sites since the offensive began on Tuesday.

Israel has mobilized 20,000 reservists for a possible ground operation into Gazoo, but for the time remains focused on maximizing its air campaign, Lerner said.

A ground invasion could lead to heavier civilian casualties on the Paleostinian side and put Israeli ground forces in danger.

Neither side is showing any sign of halting their heaviest fighting since an eight-day battle in late 2012. Israel says that Hamas must cease rocket fire from Gazoo for Israel to consider a truce.

No Israelis have been seriously harmed as the "Iron Dome" defense system has intercepted at least 70 of the projectiles destined for major cities. The system is designed to intercept rockets headed toward populated areas, while allowing others to fall in open areas.

"The ground option needs to be the last option and only if it is absolutely necessary. It is a carefully designed plan of action," Lerner said.

The Israeli security Cabinet met to discuss its next moves.

Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
, in Beijing for a summit with Chinese leaders, said the US is trying to stem the surging violence in a way that allows the Jewish state to continue defending itself from Hamas rocket fire.

He called it a "dangerous moment" for the Mideast.

Kerry said he has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said the operation was going according to plan, with Israel targeting various Hamas interests.

"The military's successes so far have been very significant," he said. "We will continue until they understand that this escalation is not beneficial to them and that we will not tolerate rocket fire toward our towns and citizens."

Paleostinian medical officials said one strike early Thursday struck a home in the southern Gazoo city of Khan Younis, killing eight members of the Al Haj family. Tractors cleared away large piles of debris from the demolished building as one man laid atop a mattress and blankets that remained.

Health Ministry in Gazoo has reported 85 deaths, including 22 on Thursday. It says about half were women and kiddies though the exact breakdown could not immediately be confirmed.

Israel accuses forces of Evil of deliberately endangering civilians by using homes and other civilian buildings for cover. The military has also directly targeted the offices and homes of known forces of Evil that it says are used as command centers.

The military says it contacts the families first to ask civilians to evacuate before striking its targets. Many of the dead appear to be relatives of wanted forces of Evil according to names of the dead provided by the Paleostinians.

...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her. Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?...
the Egyptian government opened the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gazoo Strip in order to allow the evacuation of maimed Paleostinians. Cairo is allowing Egyptian citizens to leave Gazoo through Rafah and head for the capital.

Despite over 300 rockets hitting Israel, Israel has allowed some 200 trucks to cross into the strip, including some 200,000 liters of fuel daily, in an attempt to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Gazoo.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Bert was realizing to his horror that he'd had only one bottle for one message, and he'd forgotten to include a return address...
the government said that over 20 Paleostinians, including eight Gazook children were treated at Haifa's Rambam Medical Center, as part of Israel's longstanding cooperation with the Paleostinian Authority.

Rambam Health Care Campus provides medical care to patients from Gazoo and the PA annually. Currently, hospitalized Paleostinians include three adults and eight children from Gazoo, and three adults and two children from the West Bank.

Medical cooperation between Israel and the PA has continued despite the shooting. According to Yazid Falah, the coordinator for Paleostinian patients coming to Rambam, "Despite the security situation, and despite the fact that both sides are fighting, all continues as usual in the sphere of medical cooperation."

Falah exlapined that "even in times of war we continue to receive patients and give them the care they need-children and adults."

"On the one hand they are in Israel and see the consequences of the actions of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, and how people get hurt on this side of the border. On the other hand, their families in Gazoo are under attack by the IDF and they fear for the lives of their loved ones," says Falah.

#1  If you are Israel and are serious about stopping the rockets being shot at you from Gaza, you immediately cut all electricity to Gaza.
If the rockets don't stop after a few more days, you cut off the water.
Still getting rocket fire? Stop the food shipments.
This is only if you are serious about stopping the attacks.
Otherwise you are just being foolish. Sucks that some
Yes, innocents will be punished, but hey this is war. The rocket attacks must stop.

Got a better idea?

#3  You have to allow, some fuel, etc in.
If they don't fuel the trucks, the trucks don't move.
If the trucks don't move, you can't tell where the targets are.

Iron Dome racks up 90% success rate so far
[Haaretz] The Iron Dome missile defense system has achieved a nearly 90 percent success rate since Monday night, an improvement over its performance during Operation Pillar of Defense in November 2012.

The defense system is activated only when the rockets fired by Paleostinian Lions of Islam at Israel appear likely to hit populated areas.

It has been activated to intercept about 27 percent of the approximately 180 rockets fired between Monday night and midday Wednesday. Of the times when Iron Dome was activated, it successfully intercepted the rockets nearly 90 percent of the time, and there have been few rocket hits or serious injuries.

The success of the defense system marks an improvement over the 84 percent success rate during Operation Pillar of Defense.

The comparison is not exact, however, especially given that Iron Dome had a slightly higher success rate at the beginning of the 2012 operation as well.

A senior Israel Defense Forces officer said Wednesday that the number of rockets to hit Israel can be expected to rise.

The army has made significant improvements to the Iron Dome batteries over the past two years that have made them better able to intercept rockets and to cope with rocket barrages, the army said.

Israel's seven Iron Dome batteries have been deployed across the country to protect populated areas from short-range rockets, with the assistance of the David's Sling missile defense system, which is designed to shoot down missiles with ranges of between 100 kilometers and 200 kilometers. Though the David's Sling system, sometimes called Magic Wand, is still under development, it has been integrated into one of the Iron Dome batteries.

Meanwhile,
...back at the buffalo wallow, Yellow Wolf clutched at his chest and fell from his horse...
there have been some changes to civilian aviation, including takeoff and landing paths, because Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, is aiming some of its rockets at Ben-Gurion International Airport, about 80 kilometers from Gazoo. This has also affected flight schedules, which have been spread out over more hours rather than clustered together.
The Times of Israel notes:
Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system has emerged as a game-changer in the current round of fighting with Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, murderous Moslems in the Gazoo Strip, shooting down dozens of incoming rockets and being credited with preventing numerous civilian casualties.

By shooting down more than 90 percent of its targets, the system is ensuring Israel’s decisive technological edge that has helped it operate virtually unhindered in Gazoo.

At the same time, it’s also providing a much-needed sense of security on the home front.

Gazoo murderous Moslems have fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, some more than 100 kilometers deep, covering an area of about 5 million. But beyond some jitters and discomfort, they haven’t hurt Israelis much, causing no casualties and very little damage.

“The Iron Dome system and its impressive success thus far have had a strategic impact on managing the campaign. It gives us wide options,” said Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon. “Having said that, we cannot become complacent.”

#2  The Gazooks have accumulated a serious number of rockets, including some big suckers. They must have tunnels the size of the Lincoln or Holland to get that stuff in, and Egypt must be collecting some worthwhile tolls.

Lebanon Arrests Man In Connection To Rocket Fired At Israel
[Jpost] Lebanese media says additional rockets prepared by unknown turbans to be fired toward Israel found at launching site.

Lebanese authorities reportedly tossed in the calaboose
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
one person on Friday in connection to the rocket attack from Leb into Israel earlier this morning.

The Beirut-based newspaper The Daily Star, cited security forces as saying the suspect's car had blood stains that matched blood traces found at the scene where the rocket was launched. The man was reportedly injured during the attack.

According to the report, Lebanese Army Intelligence discovered more rockets intended to be used against Israel at the suspected launching pad, as they continued to search for the turbans behind the incident. Two Grad rockets
...Soviet-developed 122-mm rockets, usually launched from trucks. Newer versions are reported to have a range of up to 30 km....
were defused during the operation.

The Lebanese Army also said that some 25 artillery shells were fired from Israel at the outskirts of Kfar Shuba; no casualties were reported.

The rocket fired from Leb overnight hit a village in the Upper Galilee. There were no injuries in the attack. Artillery fire was directed at the area from which the rocket was fired, a senior army source said.

The rocket was not fired by Hezbollah but by a small radical organization in Leb, Maj.-Gen. (res). Amos Gilad, director of Political-Security Affairs at the Defense Ministry, told Channel 2.

, the National News Agency reported.

First Military Examining Magistrate Riad Abou Ghida interrogated the French and Syrian nationals before issuing the warrant.

Seven of the 28-member cell are in jug.

They were detained in security raids in hotels in Beirut.

The 28 members were charged on Monday with belonging to ISIL, planning to carry out suicide kabooms by using boom belts and preparing explosive-rigged vehicles.

They are also accused of buying detonators, explosives, boom belts and weapons and training jacket wallahs to carry out terrorist acts in residential areas in Beirut.

Earlier in June, security forces raided the Napoleon Hotel in Beirut's Hamra district after obtaining information on a plot to target hospitals and high-ranking security officials.

Over 100 people were interrogated during the security raid but only a Frenchie who is originally from the Comoros islands was jugged

and has reportedly confessed to being sent by the ISIL to carry out a terrorist attack in Leb.

Leb was hit by a series of deadly blasts recently, the latest of which was on June 25 when a Saudi suicide bomber went kaboom! at the Duroy Hotel when he detonated his explosives during a security raid. His accomplice, also a Saudi citizen, survived the blast and is being questioned.
