Senator Kerry meets with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood
what could possibly go wrong? Pompous asshat represents us in helping the Jihadists to gain power?

#1  Of COURSE he did.

#2  senator Kerry is chair of the senate foreign relations committee so it is no big deal that he meets with foreign leaders

He met with Assad Jr. four times for example.

getting foreign leaders to me with Kerry is probably the most cruel thing we can do to such leaders short of a drone strike.

Economy
Obama says U.S. economic fix could take years
[Iran Press TV] Despite some recent signs the sluggish U.S. economy might be improving, President Barack Ready to Rule from Day One Obama warns it could be years before the country is on a sound footing.

In excerpts from an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" program that will air on Sunday, Obama was asked whether he underestimated how difficult it would be to fix the U.S. economy when he became president in 2009.

"I always believed that this was a long-term project," the Democratic president told "60 Minutes." He added it would "take time" to reverse "structural problems in our economy that have been building up for two decades."

Obama added in the excerpts, released on Friday, that he thought "it was going to take more than two years. It was going to take more than one term. Probably takes more than one president."

When asked whether he thought the U.S. jobless rate might drop to 8 percent by next November's presidential and congressional elections, Obama said: "I think it's possible.
But ... I'm not in the job of prognosticating on the economy."

Reducing unemployment is considered key to Obama's re-election chances next year.

#1  I bet it takes one year. OK, 1 year, 1 month and 10 days.

#3  Careful people. The economy has been sabotaged by the unbridled printing of money to keep the ruling class of the Beltway from being strung up. As soon as the 'coast is clear' and people start investing, hiring, and spending, all that money we've been squirreling away will come out with an inflationary impact. The one tool to address that is unfortunately taxes - if - BIG if - the taxes are used to destroy the fuel rather than just redistribute it back through various patronage gifts or other rounds of dead-end speculations.

#4  I wonder what "sound footing" means with this guy?
He sounds like an 8th grader to me.

#5  Hey newc, I TEACH 8th graders and they are way smarter than this criminal.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
We were right, Obama GAVE Iran the Drone!
Well, maybe. We still don't know what's happening. I keep looking at the pics of the yellow bird and pics of the Sentinel on the web, and they don't look the same. Though maybe the yellow bird just has a cover on it.

I'm not the only one who is suspicious.

This story needs a few more days and some investigating.

#1  when such profundity occurs, one's only hope that all of this is a clever machination by us/US.

#2  It's too easy. There's gotta be more to this story than meets they eye. Well, I really wanna believe that anyway.

#3  It's too easy

Easier than other things this administration did?

#4  Meanwhile in Mexico the cartels are asking "Hey, where's OUR drone?"

#6  I have zero business commenting on this.

The intake cover looked shoddy. I would expect a bit more damage even in a controlled crash. However, why did the US admit to a lost drone so quickly unless they fell for a bluff.

#7  The Iranians have never had any shame about valuing theater over substance when it comes to taking an opportunity to make themselves look larger or more competent than they actually are - much of it for internal consumption, the remainder for regional chest thumping. Recall the photoshopped missile photos, and other faked items of the past decade.

#8  The rule of thumb on something like this is that the people who know aren't talking and the people who are talking don't know.

#9  "They don't look the same ...looks suspicious" > I must concur.

Based on avaliable MSM-Net pics, the drone allegedly shot down by Iran has too many "rough edges/lines", so to speak, compared to the more sleek, precisely or finely engineered US model.

In addition, I don't see any damage on the Iran drone that would support the latter's contention of a "shootdown".

Iff I were to speculate, I would say 'tis a "rough" or defectively engineered Iranian "copycat", or else US Black Op.
