Isn't the DEA supposed to monitor prescriptions? It would be easy to put all prescriptions into a database and then run a program to alert somebody when the number of opioid prescriptions written by one doctor for one patient exceeds a certain threshold. If they weren't doing it they should be fired for gross incompetence and negligence. But this lawsuit, instead of targeting the criminal doctors and law enforcement types, goes for the soft targets with the deep pockets.
