-Lurid Crime Tales-
More evidence that Breonna Taylor was living on the dark side
[American Thinker] When Breonna Taylor died in a hail of police bullets, she joined the pantheon of Black Lives Matter martyrs, men such as George Floyd, Michael Brown, Jacob Blake, and Trayvon Martin. Initially, she seemed anomalous because she was not engaged in criminal activity or resisting arrest when she died. New evidence, though, shows that, in addition to her relationship with a drug dealing ex-boyfriend (which is what caught the police’s attention), the boyfriend who shot the police was also a drug dealer. Taylor hung out with the wrong people.

BLM needed Taylor. While mobs were making shrines to George Floyd and congresspeople performed kneeling theater, other people observed that Floyd was a criminal who threatened a pregnant woman with a gun and had rotated in and out of prison. On the day of his death, he’d passed counterfeit money, guzzled illegal drugs, and resisted arrest. We also know now that the officers’ understanding of the situation and their decision to restrain Floyd was consistent with their training.

Jacob Blake was also a problem. Rather than being a loving father, he stood accused of sexual assault and violating a restraining order. Blake then wildly resisted arrest and attacked police with a knife. He may also have been planning either to stab the police or kidnap children.

Michael Brown, whose death triggered the Ferguson riots, wasn’t much better. The police were looking for the so-called "Gentle Giant" because he had committed a strong-arm robbery. When Officer Darren Wilson wanted to question him, Brown tried to steal Officer Wilson’s gun, justifying a self-defense shooting.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
I Have Been On A Journey To Come Out As The Person I Truly Am
[HuffPoo] Since the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1987, Oct. 11 has been observed as National Coming Out Day, a day to raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ people and "champion the idea that homophobia thrives in silence."

"Coming out of the closet" is the process through which an LGBTQIA+ person discloses their sex, gender or sexuality to another person. And in a world where LGB youth are five times more likely to attempt suicide than heterosexual youth, where 40% of transgender adults have attempted suicide, and where our state and federal governments continue to deny or rollback hard-won rights, it’s clear that coming out as LGBTQIA+ is still a radical and important action.

When I was 2 or 3, I would walk around our house wearing my mom’s high heels and my dad’s tank top, which I treated like a dress since it was so long on me. I was drawn toward feminine things, and frequently helped my mom tie scarves and played with her jewelry. She used to sell Lady Remington — the ’90s jewelry version of Mary Kay or Avon or Pampered Chef (all of which my mom also sold!) — and I would be her little helper, modeling her latest samples.

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with me, but when I was a couple of years older, my parents, out of protection, steered me away from feminine expression and activities. By 5, I realized that others saw something in me that I hadn’t quite understood yet, and I was often bullied for being too feminine, too soft, too gay.

#1  But President Trump’s best path forward is not attacking Biden or Harris. Rather, it is to tell voters what he wants to accomplish in the next four years, and remind them of his considerable past achievements.

I wish he would talk more about his accomplishments, and spend less time trading insults with morons. Would the media permit it? Can he do it with Twitter?

Debate Commission Invites Respected Centrist Nancy Pelosi To Moderate Next Debate
[Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Commission on Presidential Debates has invited a widely revered and respected centrist named Nancy Pelosi to moderate the next presidential debate. Political consultants and experts applauded the choice, insisting Pelosi is a cherished figure widely known for her fair and balanced approach to politics.

"We think that Pelosi is by far the best choice to ensure an informative and productive debate between the candidates," said Commission Director Rumplestiltskin Mouldyneck. "It's important that these debates remain nonpartisan. We are here to ensure Americans get straight facts on what a stinky no-good yucky man Donald Trump is."

According to sources, Pelosi has accepted the invitation. She will give Donald Trump 12 seconds to answer each question, after which a loud siren will go off and a bucket of dead fish will fall from the ceiling on Trump's head to indicate he has reached his time limit.

"I am so pleased, so proud, to accept the position of moderator for the American people," she said. "I predict this will be a very fair and informative debate for everyone involved. I look forward to showing everyone how unfit Trump is to serve, but in a very fair and balanced way. Also, I hope he dies!"

The commission has also announced they have invited little-known journalist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to moderate the final debate.

Fake-Poll Alert: Proof Biden Is Not Winning
[Federalist] Back in 2016, I played Paul Revere, except my announcement was "The Trump victory is coming! the Trump victory is coming!" I made over 1,500 TV and radio appearances to deliver the message that the polls were all wrong. I told Donald Trump supporters again and again to ignore the "fake news" and the fake polls.

Tens of thousands of Trump voters emailed me to thank me for giving them hope when all seemed lost. Hundreds of conservative radio and TV hosts thanked me for keeping up the spirits of the "Trump Army" when Trump voters were at their darkest and lowest points.

For better or worse, that's my best talent in life: seeing through the faulty math, lies, fraud and propaganda of pollsters and the mainstream media in order to keep Trump voters excited, motivated, focused and in the game.

I was right back in 2016. I'll be right again on Nov. 3.

#7  How many Trump supporters are willing to pick up the phone when called by a stranger and asked to identify his or her political leanings in 2020 America?

Why would anyone risk being doxxed, denounced, attacked, having his life or his family's lives destroyed in order to chat with a stranger about politics?

Most people know today that their personal data isn't private, that their identities can and will be shared promiscuously by any organization - ESPECIALLY political players such as polllsters - and that if they're associated with Trump, they will now have a target on their forehead for all the deranged and violent creeps lurking everywhere now in this country.

These people aren't "shy" Trump voters; they're prudent, normal Americans who recognize that they're now living in an insane, totalitarian culture which forces the un-Woke to go underground.

The research we have on this question indicates that those willing to emerge above ground and expose themselves to harm are a minority - probably a small minority - of actual Trump supporters. But there is no such penalty for the vast majority of the Biden voters.

Do the math and you see that Trump's support - especially in the battleground states - and it is obvious that Trunp's actual vote will be at least 5 points higher and as much as 8 or 9 points higher than these ridiculously inaccurate frauds now suggest.

I've Had It With These 'Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden.' You Can't Be Pro-Life and Pro-Biden
[PJ] Let’s get one thing straight. Abortion is the intentional taking of a human life. Whether by scalpel or chemical abortifacient, abortion ends the life of a human being—a child with his own fingerprints, heartbeat, brain waves, and DNA. A child who can feel pain beginning at 12 weeks after conception.

Let’s get another thing straight: You can’t be pro-life and pro-Joe Biden.

Some so-called evangelicals think they can have it both ways. In an op-ed at the Christian Post, Ron Sider and Richard Mouw defend a statement urging pro-life evangelicals to vote for Joe Biden.

"Climate change already kills untold thousands and will soon kill tens of millions unless we change," the pair writes. "The overwhelming scientific consensus is that unless we quickly reduce the amount of greenhouse gases causing global warming that we send into the atmosphere, many millions will die. The poor will suffer the most. But Donald Trump denies the near scientific consensus on climate change and has made numerous policy decisions that make things much worse. Climate change is a pro-life issue."

"As pro-life evangelicals, we disagree with Vice President Biden and the Democratic platform on the issue of abortion," the statement declares, "But we believe that a biblically shaped commitment to the sanctity of human life compels us to a consistent ethic of life that affirms the sanctity of human life from beginning to end."

What does the statement’s "consistent ethic of life" look like?

Cleveland Plain Dealer: Joe Biden for president
[PD (subscription req'd)] By Editorial Board, cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer
[Pathetic, but typical...I couldn't read much past those four bullets.]
  • Integrity matters.

  • Honesty matters.

  • Leadership matters.

  • Compassion matters.

Donald Trump is America’s first president to embody none of these qualities, and for that reason above all others, we ask that you vote for Joe Biden to become president of the United States in January.

It’s not that we believe Biden is a terrific candidate. We don’t. The Democratic Party has once again failed to give the nation the inspiring nominee we need, a leader for a new age.

We believe, however, that Biden would offer much-needed compassionate leadership in a country wracked by anxiety and fear, as well as a devastating pandemic.

We have other reasons for endorsing Biden over Trump, as we articulate below, but the nation’s top priority must be replacing a president who repeatedly has lied to us and placed his personal interests above those of the people he was elected to serve.

The presidency is at the core of the American identity. We rely on the person who holds the office to see what is best in us and envision our brightest future, to be to an example for our children. We are so much better than the people our current president sees. Our future should be much brighter than the dystopia he believes we inhabit.

Let’s begin a discussion of the issues with leadership. When the nation needed it during the most deadly pandemic in more than a century, our president lied to us about the severity of it, failed to heed the scientists in his employ to effectively battle it, refused for months to wear a mask as an example to the citizenry and left the states to fend for themselves.

A nation long known for the quality of its health expertise performed more poorly than just about every industrialized country on the planet....

#5  ...Keep this in mind: The PD is so well run that after the old Cleveland Press went under in '82, they couldn't hack being the only paper in a 1-paper town. Did so well that they're now in print only three days a week.

Also, their record on endorsements ain't that great; in 1864 they endorsed George McClellan instead of some fella named Lincoln, and in '04 they were going to endorse John Kerry when the editor overruled them and endorsed George W. Bush...at which point there was a flat out rebellion at the paper and they endorsed no one.

#10  #7 Full intro as follows:

Integrity matters... so let's elect a man who as VP helped his brother the war profiteer and his cokehead grifter son score literally millions from the VP's influence in Iraq, China, Ukraine and even Russia

Honesty matters... so let's elect a clownish lifelong plagiarist and liar who was nearly kicked out of law school for cheating, who lied shamelessly and slandered a man for years regarding his first wife's traffic accident, and whose earlier presidential run was ended when he lifted an entire speech from Neil Kinnock the U.K. Labour politician

Leadership matters... so let's elect the buffoon whose own boss in the White House called him "my insurance policy" against assassination

Compassion matters.... Are you talking about

- the narcissistic flaming asshole who strips naked and parades in front of his female security detail?

- the grinning sniffing monster who repeatedly gropes little girls in front of their parents and his colleagues' wives in front of them?

- the vile slanderer who destroyed an innocent truck driver who was in no way guilty of drunk driving in the accident in which his first wife was killed?

- the pathetic little political thug who tried to destroy Clarence Thomas and who insulted and tried to humiliate (but was gloriously humiliated by) Menachem Begin?
