[HOSTED.AP.ORG] Two suspected gunnies and two others have been charged in last week's shooting of 13 people including a 3-year-old boy in a crowded reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... park, police said Tuesday.
Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said the gunnies opened fire on the group in retaliation for an earlier shooting in which one of them was slightly maimed. He said there was no specific target, but that the shooters went to the park because it was rival gang territory.
"There's a super-heated group of gunnies who were victims and offenders," McCarthy said. "This individual was a victim of gun violence and then became an offender."
Police said all four suspects were charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery in Thursday's attack in Cornell Square Park on the southwest side.

[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] A man from southern Colombia had to have his penis amputated after he allegedly overdosed on Viagra to impress his girlfriend. Kids! Don't try this at home!
The 66-year-old man from Gigante, Colombia, whose name has not been released, told a local newspaper that he intentionally overdosed on the erectile dysfunction medicine. "Yeah! I dunnit and I'm glad... Well, maybe not glad..."
He then is said to have suffered an erection for several days before being forced to seek medical advice. "In the event of an erection lasting longer than four hours, seek professional help!"
According to news website Colombia Reports, the penis-enhancing drug caused the man, who is said to be a farmer and a former politician, to develop signs of gangrene. "Uhhh... Honey? Your pee-pee smells... funny. No, that's wrong. It smells not funny."
When he sought medical help, doctors in Gigante referred the man to a medical facility in Neiva, where medical staff noted that the man's penis was inflamed and fractured. "What do you think, Dr. Casey?"
"Looks inflamed to me, Dr. Kildare!"
"I'd call it scorched."
"Thank you, Dr. Moriarty. That's actually the word I was looking for."
They informed the patient his only option was amputation so the inflammation and gangrene would stop spreading to other parts of his body. "Here's the deal: you lose your doinker, or you lose it all."
A doctor told local newspaper La Nacion: 'The patient showed bruising on the testicles and penis, was treated and is recovering well.' At least as well as you can recover in that situation.
As a result of the incident, Neiva hospital issued a warning for men to not use penis enhancing drugs or erectile dysfunction medication without prescription from their doctors. "It's all great fun until somebody loses a baloney!"
Earlier this week, a Yemeni man died of a Viagra overdose as he prepared to sleep with his bride on their first day as a married couple. "Heh heh! Heh heh! Oboy! Oboy! I'm gonna get laid!"
The 25-year-old Yemeni man dosed up on five Viagra pills at one time which killed him, according to Yemini Arabic Language daily newspapwer Okaz Al Youm. At 25? At 25, I needed Viagra like a canary needs overshoes.
Once the wedding hall was cleared out, the unnamed man left to join his wife at their new home. "Heh heh! Heh heh! Oboy! Oboy!"
When he arrived, he fainted and collapsed and died after being taken to hospital despite doctors' attempts to revive him. "Oboy! Oboy! Lemme see yer honkers!"

Awaran district has an estimated population of around 300,000, scattered over an area of more than 21,000 square km.
In the regional capital of Quetta, officials said some areas appeared to be badly damaged but it was hard to assess the impact quickly because the locations were so remote.
Office workers in Pakistain's largest city Karachi rushed out of their buildings.
"My work table jerked a bit and again and I impulsively rushed outside," 28-year-old resident Noor Jabeen said.
Government worker Owais Khan said: "It was not so intense, but it was terrible."
Amjad Ali, a 45-year-old information technology worker, says whenever there is a jolt "it reminds me of the 2005 earthquake in Kashmire".
The 7.6 magnitude quake in 2005 killed at least 73,000 people and left several million homeless in one of the worst natural disasters to hit Pakistain.

[WAVY] Two seventh grade Virginia Beach students have learned their fates Tuesday morning after they were suspended for shooting airsoft gun.
During a hearing Tuesday morning, Aidan Clark and Khalid Caraballo were given long-term suspensions in a unanimous vote. The suspensions will last until June, but a hearing will be held in January to determine if they will be allowed back in school.
Their parents told WAVY News' Andy Fox their children were expelled, but when Fox looked at the official letter from the school, he found they were long-term suspensions and not expulsions. Their parents still feel as though they were expelled.

I saw where there is a law in Virginia that makes it a crime to use a firearm or air gun in a manner that makes someone (doesn't seem to matter who) afraid. School wouldn't seem to have jurisdiction, but the alternative might be charging the kids under that criminal statute.

You're addressing the consequences not the cause. It's the lawyers who've already sued when schools tried to discipline well back twenty years ago. The administrators simply came up with the zero tolerance because they wanted to reduce the cost and hassle of every parent and their lawyer, not to mention the power grabbing judiciary (just another member of the bar), running their schools. Rational judgement has gone out the window. Now its fun to be a fascist cause they can ignore being reasonable, it's no longer in the job description.

The aircraft is planned to enter active service in 2016 2016. So far four aircraft have been produced and involved in the flight testing program. A fifth T-50 is expected to join the rest of prototypes by the end of the year. More photos here. I hope those flaps fold up out of the way of the jet intakes before flight. ..Here's the problem - I have no doubt that this beast COULD be ready to go in 4-6 years....but the Russians can't afford it. They can build upgraded versions of the stuff they had when the Wall came down, but they haven't been able to produce more than a few hand-built prototypes of everything else that they've trumpeted over the last two decades. And they sure as heck aren't going to sell them to anyone WITH the money who might end up using them against them (see also, Iran). The -35, for all its problems, is still far better than this competitor.

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City Area Public Schools [TCAPS] board unanimously approved a plan to enroll up to 200 Chinese high school students -- a move that will bring in millions of dollars of tuition money and diversify the student body.
But board members advised starting slowly.
"Let's do it carefully, slowly and well, and grow it over time," said board member Marjorie Rich.
The board approved a memorandum of understanding Monday, which clears the way for a tentatively planned Oct. 16 signing with officials from the Weiming Education Group, one of China's largest private schools.
The school caters to Chinese parents who want an American education, in part to increase their children's English proficiency. They also prefer the greater emphasis in problem-solving and innovation, said Superintendent Stephen Cousins before the meeting.
"They may be doing business with Americans, and they have a secondary motivation of wanting to get into American colleges," he said.
This, my dears, is what American cultural imperialism really looks like. But will these expensive children of China's new moneyed class be fit for the New Chinese Communism when they return home?
Cousins didn't know whether TCAPS students will attend Weiming.
"We haven't entered the conversation," he said.
Cousins told the board he didn't want to accept more than 70 Weiming students next school year. The specific number will depend on how many host families step forward.
"Thirty to fifty is a manageable number for the first year," he said.
Weiming will pay $10,000 in tuition for each student. The state
