-Lurid Crime Tales-
CBP Drone Observes 1K Got-Aways During Flight over Texas Border Sector
[Breitbart] An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) observed more than 1,000 migrant got-aways during a flight over the Del Rio Sector, a source operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed. The Del Rio Sector averaged approximately 1,700 apprehended migrants per day in August.

Lingering UAV flights in the Del Rio Sector are not commonplace, the source told Breitbart Texas. During this flight, which took place during the past two weeks, UAV operators observed more than 1,000 got-aways as the drone flew over the Del Rio Sector.

During August, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended more than 52,000 migrants, Breitbart reported. This averages out to 1,677 apprehensions per day. The got-aways equal about 60 percent apparent migrant crossings per day.

During the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended approximately 428,000 migrants. The sector led the nation during the past two months, but the Rio Grande Valley Sector remained in first place with an 11-month estimate of 440,000.

By the end of the fiscal year on September 30, officials believe the Del Rio Sector will overtake the Rio Grande Valley Sector in total apprehensions for the year.

The source told Breitbart Texas that total apprehensions for the year for the nine southwest border sectors now exceeds 2 million migrants. The estimate places the total at about 2,075,000.

During Fiscal Year 2021, Border Patrol agents apprehended a record-setting 1.7 million migrants. The Fiscal Year 2022 year-to-date estimate already exceeds last year’s total by about 22 percent with 17 days to go.

In August, the Rio Grande Valley Sector fell to third place as the El Paso Sector moved into second with the apprehension of just under 30,000 migrants. The El Paso Sector sits at about 259,000 apprehensions through the end of August.

Afghanistan
Taliban and Pakistani security forces exchange fire along the border
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
and Pak security forces exchanged fire along the border after Pak soldiers tried to erect a military structure on the Afghan-Pak border, causing multiple casualties on both sides, the Taliban said on Wednesday.

The Pak military said its forces had responded to cross-border fire from bully boys, and that three of its soldiers were killed.

For all the latest headlines follow our Google News channel online or via the app.

The border was drawn up decades ago during British colonial rule and long been disputed, often leading to festivities.

Pakistain treats it as an international frontier and has fenced it, while Afghan authorities do not recognize the demarcation.

"Pakistain forces tried to erect a military post near the line," Taliban front man Bilal Karimi said, adding that this was against the "rules" and Pak forces had opened fire when Taliban forces approached the construction.

He said casualties were reported on both sides, and the matter was referred to higher authorities for investigation.

The incident occurred in eastern Paktia province on the Afghan side, which borders the Pak area of Kurram.

Pakistain, in a statement in the early hours of Wednesday, termed the incident an exchange of fire between holy warriors and Pak forces.

"Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on Pak troops," a statement from the military’s public relations wing said.

It condemned the use of Afghan soil for what it called activities against Pakistain and that it expects authorities in Afghanistan - ruled by the Taliban since August 2021 - to stop such actions.

Pakistain’s foreign office did not immediately respond to a Rooters request for comment on the Taliban’s assertion that Pak forces were building a military structure.

Tensions between Islamabad and the Taliban have increased in recent months despite historically close ties, primarily over border issues, and more recently on charges that Pakistain had allowed its air space to be used by US drones to strike targets in Afghanistan.

Taliban are “looking into” a video circulating on social media that appears to show its fighters executing captured members of an Afghan insurgent group

The National Resistance® Front (NRF), a nascent group operating mainly out of the Panjshir Valley, said the video showed some of its fighters being executed, and accused the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
of "war crimes."

The video, being shared widely on social media, shows two groups of men squatting on a hillside with their hands tied behind their backs before being shot with automatic rifles by Taliban fighters.

The fighters can be heard shouting "Allahu Akbar," and a man is later heard saying "stop it, stop it" after the captives slump forward, apparently dead.

Checks by AFP’s digital verification team show the first versions of the video only appeared online in the last 24 hours, and government front man Bilal Karimi said authorities were investigating.

"We are looking into it to know exactly when these videos were filmed and to know whether they are old," Karimi told AFP.

"But so far, we absolutely don’t know about the place, timing of the videos, or who the people in them are."

The footage went viral a day after the Taliban said its forces had killed at least 40 NRF fighters in festivities in the Panjshir Valley.

The NRF said those shown being executed in the video were captured during fighting in the valley.

"The criminal Taliban... committed a war crime again by shooting & martyring eight" members of the NRF, the holy warrior group’s front man Sibghatullah Ahmadi said on Twitter.

The scenic Panjshir Valley is famed for being the center of Afghan resistance to the Soviet occupation of the 1980s and the Taliban’s first stint in power in the late 1990s.

It was the last part of Afghanistan to hold out against the Taliban when they returned to power in August last year.

The NRF is headed by Ahmad Massoud, the son of legendary anti-Soviet and anti-Taliban fighter Ahmad Shah Massoud.

The elder Massoud, known as the Lion of Panjshir, was assassinated in 2001 by al-Qaeda, two days before the September 11 attacks in the US.

His son has since picked up the mantle against Taliban forces, repeatedly denouncing the Islamist regime as "illegitimate".

In July, the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
mission in Afghanistan accused the Taliban of carrying out hundreds of human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
violations, including extra-judicial killings and torture, since they seized power.

Many of the victims were former government officials and national security force members, the mission said, an accusation denied by the Taliban.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Security forces in the Volgograd region detained a local resident suspected of recruiting an Uzbek citizen into the ranks of the Islamic State.

"A 29-year-old local resident was detained, involved in inciting a citizen of Uzbekistan to participate in the activities of the international terrorist organization Islamic State," the FSB department said.

A case has been initiated against the detainee under part 1.1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (assistance to terrorist activities). In addition, during the search, the suspect was seized packing scales and a mobile phone with the geographic coordinates of the alleged places for laying drugs, writes with reference to the press service of the FSB Interfax.

Iraq
Turkish forces carry out operation on Makhmour camp in Iraq and arrest 2 high-ranking members of PKK
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) carried out an operation in Iraq’s northern Makhmour camp against the PKK, which led to the arrest of two high-ranking members of the terrorist organization that have since been brought to Turkiye.

Security forces arrested Hatip Guney, code-named "Sahan/Cihan," as well as a Syrian named Aya Ahmet Suleyman, code-named "Tekosin Kamisli/Civan."

It was determined that Guney, who illegally crossed into Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
through the Baskale district of Van in September 2019 to join the rural staff of the PKK/KCK, went to Iraq and received training there.

It was determined that Guney, who was later sent to the Makhmour camp, was operating as a so-called team commander after ideological and armed training.

Suleyman, on the other hand, joined the PKK to serve in its affiliates in 2015. He went to Iraq from Syria in 2017, received training in Gara, carried out activities in the Avasin-Basyan region and then went to Makhmour in 2018.

Ottoman Turkish security forces in June killed the PKK terrorist group's so-called Makhmour regional leader in northern Iraq. Announcing the operation, President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...
said Turkiye would not allow the "treacherous and separatist organization" to use Iraq's Makhmour district as an "incubation center" for terrorism.

Ottoman Turkish intelligence discovered that the camp was as important as Qandil for the PKK faceless myrmidons and that they were recruiting and training members for their activities under the guise of the camp. The Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq are the PKK's stronghold and the group is active in many cities and towns. It occupies a large number of villages in the region and launches attacks on Turkiye's interior from here.

The Makhmour camp was established by the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
and Iraq for refugees who were forced to leave Turkiye by the PKK in 1994. According to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the refugees "first stayed in Atroush camp near the Ottoman Turkish border, then split into two groups in 1997. Between 4,000 and 5,000 refugees moved to local settlements in the governorate of Dahuk and Irbil. A larger group relocated to the Makhmour camp, which today looks like a small town with mud-brick houses and several shops selling food."

The people in the camp have been struggling to live while bowing down to the pressure of the terrorist group, which turned the region into its military headquarters. Control of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
's Makhmour district was taken by Peshmerga forces after the ISIS assaults. Today, 12,000 people live in the Makhmour camp awaiting the end of the pressure imposed by the outlawed PKK.

The PKK terrorist group often hides out in northern Iraq, just across Turkiye's southern border, to plot terrorist attacks in Turkiye. The Ottoman Turkish military regularly conducts cross-border operations in northern Iraq. Turkiye has long been stressing that it will not tolerate terrorist threats posed against its national security and has called on Iraqi officials to take the necessary steps to eliminate the terrorist group. Ankara previously noted that if the expected steps were not taken, it would not shy away from targeting terrorist threats.
