-Lurid Crime Tales-
Something stinks about Charlottesville
[American Thinker] Evidence is turning up from, of all places, the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well as Breitbart and others, that this character, Jason Kessler, who organized the suspicious and supposed Alt-Right demonstration in Charlottesville, Va. that blew up in everyone's face, is a cunning lefty holdover from the Occupy Wall Street movement and a former Barack Obama supporter. I smell Soros money, sabotage, and Democrat dirty tricks here.

I've been suspicious of the nature of the violence at this supposed Alt-Right demonstration since the news first began breaking. It is no secret that radical elements in the Democrat left have been routinely utilizing violence when it suits their purposes. We also know via secret tapings by Project Veritas that the Democratic Party has a semi-official director of dirty ops, Dick Creamer, who hires, trains, and emplaces professional disruptors to encounter, engage, and infiltrate conservative demonstrations to foment violence, assuring that the demonstrations then become the targets of negative media attention ‐ naturally, against the conservative side. Creamer was caught on videotape boasting about his nefarious capabilities when he thought he was in friendly company.

So here we now have another blown supposedly conservative demonstration, where violence erupts and people are killed, and guess who just happens to be a ringleader of the various ultra-right to Alt-Right organizations ranging from KKK and neo-Nazis to the kind of patriotic folks who might go to a Flag Day celebration! Um, that would be our vaporous political will o' the wisp, Jason Kessler, whose Occupy activities may well have put him in operational cahoots with high-level Democrat operatives. And owing to the leniency of Virginia open carry laws, too many of Jason's followers just had to parade their personal armories in all their camo combat gear, showing off their minuteman firepower. My first reaction at seeing those clowns strutting down the street like they were in Mosul was, like that of many of my fellow NRA members and military veterans, shaking my fist and yelling at the TV, "No! No! No, you idiots! No!" And that kind of award-winning stupidity makes me wonder if the head planner for the event, Jason Soros...er, Kessler, didn't have that firepower demonstration all lined up and ready to go precisely to make those right-wing tools look just like the fools they were being, while scaring the bejeezus out of the lefties, blacks, and MSM twerps.

#1  Smells like a red flag op. There is even some blurry video of what looks like someone hitting the car with a baseball bad before it accelerated. Scared driver or insane nazi?

This was the perfect psyop for the left and the establishment.

#2  See my comments about the Charlotte NC rent-a-mob and white supremacist bait ads to create a toxic brew, add media and stir to violence. Textbook subversion by well trained progressive agent provocateurs. Think they haven't pulled out all the stops to topple Trump? Lurking far in the back look for the fingerprints of former administration figures and their backers, foreign and domestic.

#6  I think the Kessler thing is a quirk of history but really nothing. Some folks are extreme and may go from one to another.

The problem is the KKK and Nazi's showed up. Even if they were invited he can't make them show up. Once they were going to arrive Antifa was guaranteed to show up.

If you want to know what stinks look into the coverage that tried to make Antifa into heroes instead of covering how they provoked the fights. Look into why the police allowed armed folks to arrive or why they stood down. Those are the conspiracies worth looking into.

#7  It seems to me that having "no open carry" as a condition for a permit for this kind of demonstration would be reasonable. Yes, there would be loud objections citing the 2nd, weather them. Question: were both sides carrying openly?

#8  By the way, who put KKK and Nazis on the right of the US political spectrum? KKK voted Democrat. Not sure who they vote for now. Did they vote for Romney? And the Nazis were socialists somewhat to the right of the Communists, and certainly white supremacist nationalists. But they are not Republican or conservative types.

I don't know what the politics of the US Nazis are, other than they like to march around in uniform, bully people, and generally act like assholes.

Violent Tribalism on Display in Charlottesville
[Townhall] When it comes to political violence such as we witnessed in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend, there are no partisan "sides" to the issue. In an enlightened society, you either believe violence is an acceptable means to an end, or you do not. In this parity, there is no room for equivocation, where the perceived nobleness or virtue of one’s agenda can excuse it. Initiating force against any group or individual for the sake of achieving a political goal or simply making a political statement, is morally and legally wrong. Full stop.

Last weekend was a national embarrassment in every sense of the word; from the pathetic display of a bunch of wimps carrying Tiki torches trying to look tough, to yet another appearance of masked "Antifa" thugs sucker-punching anyone with whom they disagree. Initially too, President Trump, missing what could have been a defining moment for his young presidency, tip-toed over the violence rather than offering a dose of his trademark blustering and rage to blast the neo-Nazis who reflect the worst side of humanity. Instead, Trump, like so many others on the Left and Right, once again attempted to distill the deplorable conduct into a political blame game, insinuating one side would have been "right" if not for the provocation of the other.

Attempting to ascribe degrees of blame to the protest groups in Charlottesville misses the point entirely about today’s political violence. The Alt-Right’s venomous racism is no more, or less, contemptible than the Alt-Left’s belief that offensive speech must be banned at any price. Violence is violence, regardless of the politics behind it.

If there is a side to the violence in Charlottesville, both of these groups are on it and deserve our scorn as practitioners of a toxic, post-modern mindset that there is no objective truth other than how they see it, and that protecting their truth is the true pubic good. In fact, aside from differing political agendas, these neo-Nazis and Antifa-ites are cut from the same cloth. Both wallow in delusions of self-righteousness, and embrace violence as an acceptable, if not noble, means of achieving their political goals. Most of all, they suffer from the same paranoia of oppression that drive them into virulent tribalism.

"Tribalism is a product of fear," declared philosopher Ayn Rand, "and fear is the dominant emotion of any person, culture or society that rejects...reason." The reality is that our true enemy today is not a Nazi flag or a black balaclava; those are only physical manifestations of tribalism. Rather, our real enemy is the philosophy of those who use such symbols. It is the rejection of reason in favor of emotional sophistry driven by fear and designed to produce more of it. This is the source of today’s violence, and reflects the fact that only violence can exist in the vacuum of reason.

#1  I don't see that's so unexpected about it. The progressives/melanin enriched/sexually aberrant keep treating white males the way Europeans treated Jews. But, these are not Jews: they are not a minority forbidden to own weapons. The fact that every antifa/BLM demonstration does not encounter sniper fire, shows how tolerant (maybe too tolerant) white male americans are.

#2  Violent tribalism at Charlottesville? It is a tested model the left has used since at least the 1960's and perhaps even before. The model is:

1. Some dog-whistle event is sponsored by some group.
2. The sponsoring group is usually the left. If an opposing group shows up, all the better.
2. It is usually sold as a "peaceful" protest.
3. A relatively small group of thug elements shows up to introduce violence. These are the hard-core professional activists, the head busters.
4. Violence then occurs.
5. Maybe someone dies, say someone on the left.
6. The MSM goes nuts and demonizes whoever is against their agenda.
7. They (the left and its propaganda arm, the MSM) hope fervently, that the death will be due to some stupid act by a white male extremist who is at the sponsored event.
8. The hapless person who gets killed often is some innocent.
9. The press and the left goes into a feeding frenzy with their martyr and endless stories about this 'terrible, terrible, most horrible event.'

I've observed this same model or some variation of it used over and over during the past fifty years or so. During the 1960's, there were hard core sponsored thugs working behind the scenes to promote violence in such things as Kent State. Bill Ayers and associates traveled to the Mideast prior to the Arab Spring to "express solidarity." You'd think the press would catch on but most likely they don't 'catch on' because they are ideologically in step with those who promote these events.

#3  Political violence has well established roots. Interesting bit on the bombers and their prison sentences:

Robert Fassnacht was a 33-year-old postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. On the night and early morning of August 23/24, 1970, he had gone to the lab to finish up work before leaving on a family vacation.[20] He was involved in research in the field of superconductivity. At the time of the explosion, Fassnacht was in his lab located in the basement level of Sterling Hall. He was monitoring an experiment when the explosion occurred.[21] Rescuers found him face down in about a foot of water. He was survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their three children, a three-year-old son, Christopher, and twin one-year-old daughters, Heidi and Karin.

Injured in the bombing were Paul Quin, David Schuster, and Norbert Sutler. Schuster, a South African graduate student,[22] who became deaf in one ear and with only partial hearing in the other ear,[23] was the most seriously injured of the three, suffering a broken shoulder, fractured ribs and a broken eardrum; he was buried in the rubble for three hours before being rescued by firefighters. Quin, a postdoctoral physics researcher, and Sutler, a university security officer, suffered cuts from shattered glass and bruises.[2] Quin, who became a physics professor at U. W. Madison, always refused to discuss the bombing in public.[23]

Arabia
Extremist ideologies bane for nation states
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] From the time of the creation of the modern nation state, history has taught us that only those societies survive and enjoy security, stability and tranquility, whose people have learnt to coexist with each other and forge cohesive bonds.

When this feeling of shared identity is compromised, members of society drift apart on the basis of various sectarian and doctrinal differences. As a consequence, states begin to fail and implode leading to protracted civil wars that cause widespread bloodshed and mayhem.

The dismal situation in Syria and Iraq is the consequence of sectarian strife. It is also a living example of the decline in civility and patriotism toward the homeland, which has been replaced by fanaticism towards a particular religious denomination or sect.

It seems the Arab people have yet to grasp the importance of coexistence among citizens of a society, even if they differ on sectarian or doctrinal basis. Iraq, Syria and Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
are currently in the throes of civil wars that cease momentarily only to start again. Unfortunately, I don’t see them ending anytime soon.

Medieval Europe and sectarian wars
In Europe of the Middle Ages, sectarian and doctrinal wars were the main cause of death for millions of people. At that time, Catholics and Protestants were vying to obliterate each other through violent means.

Decades of protracted wars later, they found out that the solution to their problem lay in overcoming differences and in developing the spirit of coexistence among different peoples, irrespective of the variance in their religious persuasions.

This conviction led them to rebuild human society as we know now. They also believed that all those who indulged in sectarian violence should be condemned by law. This laid the foundations for a superior human civilization that the world enjoys today, with its benefits of progress, innovation and development in all spheres of life.

Thus, the only way for establishing security, stability and tranquility lies in our taking lessons from these experiences. In order to get rid of fanaticism and animosity among sects and ideologies we have to replace them with values of loyalty and obedience toward the homeland, which should be a state that looks after all of its citizens regardless of their sectarian or doctrinal persuasion.

Iran exploiting sectarianism
By using sectarianism to achieve its expansionist ambitions, Iran has invaded its neighboring countries, stoked the flames of fanaticism in these societies, and targeted their stability and security by raking up Shiite fanaticism. It is a historical fact that before Khomeini’s revolution in Iran, Arab societies lived in peace and harmony.

Since the advent of this holy manal regime, sectarian strife among members of the same religious community, both in the Arab and Islamic countries, has increased. The ongoing sectarian conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Yemen prove my statement.

It is important for us in the Gulf to learn the lessons of the countries of the Arab North, and to refrain from sliding into those divisions that have the potential to obliterate all we cherish and cause enormous bloodshed. The ultimate losers in such wars will of course be citizens, regardless of their sectarian affiliations.

In the U.S. we have non-dominant groups that hold sway, i.e. all the "victim groups." These various non-dominant victim groups are cobbled together to obtain large voting blocs to win elections--at least that is the model of the Dems in the past.

#8  Muslim countries are pretend nation states.

AKA Tribes with flags.

One of the major problems caused by WWI was the Wilsonian ideal of "Self Determination". While it sounds great in theory it tends to crash on the shoals of "what defines a self". "Self" rapidly breaks down into my tribe or even family. This is what defines most of the Middle East and Africa today.

Caribbean-Latin America
Adios chavismo?
[DAWN] IT was almost 20 years ago that Hugo Chavez threatened to upset the established order in Latin America with the first of his many electoral victories. Six years after he had led an abortive coup attempt in Venezuela, he decisively won the 1998 presidential election and set about ushering in the transformation he had in mind.

One of his first steps was to bring in a new constitution, which won approval in a popular vote. That Chavez’s chosen successor, Nicolas Maduro, is now determined to rewrite that constitution, seemingly against the popular will, is widely viewed as a desperate gamble by a leader who is out of his depth, yet determined to cling on to power.

Maduro was elected president by a small margin in 2013, largely on the basis of his predecessor’s imprimatur, after Chavez sadly succumbed to cancer in 2013, but the parliamentary elections two years later yielded a substantial majority for the disparate opposition. The constituent assembly that Maduro has assembled following a disputed electoral exercise is obviously intended to override that democratic disadvantage. But it marks a significant break with Chavismo, given that none of the elections that sustained Chavez in power was manipulated.

China-Japan-Koreas
Korean War Part II: Why It's Probably Going To Happen
BLUF:
[Zero Hedge] I predict that there will be an attack blamed on North Korea. Either North Korea will be prodded into a violent reaction, or, a false flag event will be engineered and tied to Pyongyang. Remember, for the first time ever, China has essentially backed off of its opposition to invasion of North Korea as long as North Korea "attacks preemptively." Why? Why didn't they make this exception back in 2013? Because now the international banks want a distraction and China is giving them the opening they require.

Will this war culminate in global nuclear conflagration? No. The establishment has spent decades and untold trillions building it's biometric control grids and staging the new global monetary framework under the SDR system. They are not going to vaporize all of this in an instant through a nuclear exchange. What they will do, though, is launch regional wars and also economic wars. Those people expecting apocalypse in the Hollywood sense are going to find something different, but in my opinion much worse -- a steady but slower decline into economic ruin and global centralization.

Eventually, China and the U.S. will enter hostilities, but these hostilities will lean more towards the financial than the kinetic. The establishment cabal works in stages, not in absolute events. Another Korean war would be a disaster for America, just not in the way many people think.

Will there be a nuclear event? Yes. If war takes place in North Korea then it is likely they will use a nuclear device somewhere in retaliation. We may even see a nuclear event as a false flag catalyst for starting the war in the first place. This will not be a global threat, but a mushroom cloud over any American city or outpost is enough to scare the hell out of most people. It is all that will be needed.

Does this mean "doom" for the American people? It depends on how we react. Will we continue to hold the banking establishment responsible for all of their sabotage previous to a high profile war in the pacific? Or, will we get caught up in the tides of war fever? Will we question the source of future attacks on the U.S., or will we immediately point fingers at whoever the media or government tells us is the enemy? Our response really is the greatest determining factor in whether or not the American ideal of liberty stands or falls. This time, I do not see bluster, but a dark fog very common in the moments preceding conflict. This time, I believe we are indeed facing war, but war is always a means to an end. War is an establishment tool for social engineering on a massive scale.

#1  I think the article misses an important point. It talks about the different Chinese attitudes towards North Korea between 2013 and 2015. The article suggests it has to do with Bank connections but I suspect the North Korean purge of Chinese influence in Dec 2013 probably had a lot to do with the change in Chinese attitudes.

Home Front: Culture Wars
Trump Says Better Jobs and Wages Will Heal American Race Relations
[Breitbart] The Make American Great Again economic program will improve race relations in the U.S., President Donald Trump said at a fiery press conference held in New York City’s Trump Tower on Tuesday.

Trump said that his economic program would create better jobs and rising wages and that this would help heal racial divisions.

Trump has promised to revitalize American manufacturing. On Tuesday he said jobs that had been moved overseas in recent years would soon be "pouring" into America. The day before, Trump announced an investigation into China’s theft of U.S. intellectual property, which earlier studies have estimated may have cost hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs.

If Trump is able to revitalize manufacturing employment in the U.S., it is likely that African Americans would benefit. Historically, the manufacturing sector was a large employer of African Americans, particularly African American men. And since the unemployment rate among African Americans is 7.4 percent, compared with a white unemployment rate of 3.8 percent, many of the jobs added are likely to be filled by African Americans.

The Google archipelago
On the 4th of December, 1999, I first became acquainted with Google. I know the date because I recorded it, with a pen, in a notebook. My elder son, the techie -- then age thirteen -- explained to me what a "search engine" is, and why I must use it. Too, why he was setting up an email account for me, over my confused objection. For he was tired of running messages for me through his own advanced equipment.

Google was something new; it was chic to all geeks; it would change the world. My little boy saw which way the wind would blow, with fair precision. The printed page was doomed, except as print-out and back-up. He was excited; I was appalled.

Of course I am appalled by any kind of "progress." But there was more to it than that. The ability to send and receive, to store and retrieve, at such speed with such ease on such a scale, would indeed change everything. It did not portend the final victory of mere data and information over knowledge and wisdom; it achieved this. And while I could not yet envisage, in detail, the new zombie world of people attached to their "devices," as to their clothing and tattoos, I could within a year.

...With traditional religion already washed from the brains of the young, we would now be swept by the new religion of the electronic mob. It could have no anchor. Words themselves would humpty-dumpty at a greatly accelerated pace. The great mass of the deracinated were, in a sense, passing outside time. Henceforth they would live only in the present, with no conception of the past; and too, no appreciation of the future. They would cease to feel responsible for the consequences of their acts.

For morality would be reduced to opinion, and opinion dictated by the electronic mob. The "winners" in the new political order could only be the purveyors of fashion; and fashion is on the Left. This has been so since the French Revolution. Style means Left; Right means outmoded.

We come to James Damore, a young man of partially independent mind, who wrote (at management request)
Wait -- what?? I hadn't read that it was at the request of management!
a memo on the Google company’s "diversity" efforts. With all statements of fact carefully sourced, and all arguments modestly reasoned, he suggested that certain known realities about human nature might play a part in human behaviour; that there could be reasons beyond conscious oppression why, for instance, women were so rare in high tech. When this memo was "outed," he was not only fired, but then exhaustively smeared, not only by his employers but by millions who do not feel the slightest compunction to read what they attack, and could not follow it if they tried. This is our brave, unctuous new world of "shamestorming."

Alas, it is just what I was expecting, from Google of course, but also from all major Internet operators (from Facebook to GoDaddy). They take upon themselves the "Don’t be evil" responsibility to censor and smear all viewpoints that vary from their own passing notions. Combining intellectual mediocrity with unprecedented power, they will now "command the good."

#2  Not original though. The GOOGLAG meme has been going around for a couple of weeks.

#3  I think I mentioned a couple years ago that all the snowflakes who get hurt feelings so easily will be coming to an HR department near you. Now corporate america is infected with it.

To be Googled: To be fired for expressing an opinion which is different from the corporate group-think. No matter how reasonable the expression is or how the corporation expresses its acceptance of 'diversity' and 'differing opinions'.

In fact the more strident they claim 'diversity' the more narrow the boundaries of their acceptable ideas.

Confederate Statues Today, Book Burnings Tomorrow?
[Wash Times] A crowd of ignorant protesters pulled down a bronze Confederate statue that stood before a county government building in Durham, North Carolina — the angry national backlash to the Charlottesville brouhaha over the Robert E. Lee monument.

This is not how civil societies operate. And yet this is what the left has brought, and now cheers.

What’s next — burning books with offensive content?
Burning books written by those who used to own slaves? At the very least, museums will have to go.

The problem with revising history based on a standard of “feeling offensive” — as this anti-Confederate craze is rooted — is that someone, somewhere will always take offense at something.

For instance, once upon a time in America, women couldn’t vote for the president of this country. Neither could non-property owners, for the most part, or Indians, in addition to blacks. That’s offensive. Shall we tear down American flags — destroy copies of the Constitution — in symbolic protest of the bondage and discrimination to which these so-deemed second-class members of society were subjected? Or should we just go for the big score and burn down the Rotunda of the National Archives Building, where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are stored?

#1  That's the plan - except, as I suggested yesterday, the voters derailed it by not electing Hillary. And the left is too inflexible to change direction.

When your objective is to destroy Western Civ, the answer is an obvious 'yes'.

Dear Leftists, There Are No Nazis Under Your Bed
h/t Instapundit
Stop seeing Nazis under your bed. Yeah, I know, the rally at Charlottesville has proven there are real Nazis and KKK in America, and you’re all very scared that the nonsense you’ve been talking for years is true.

I’ve heard the rally by Unite the Right (a misnomer, and yes, we’ll get to it later) comprised around a hundred people. Sources trying to make us really scared have increased that to four hundred, but I am sure they’re also including the self-named Antifa.

So a hundred, maybe four hundred, in the South, in what you guys consider (ignorantly) to be the bastion of racism/sexism/other isms that might occur to you. ... Out of a nation of three hundred million.

Whether or not this turned into a fight, whether or not the hilariously ineffective law enforcement was ordered to stand down, whether or not in the confusion a woman was murdered or at least killed, I want you to think about those numbers. Use your fingers and toes, if needed. Let’s make this clear: if there were four hundred neo-Nazis (and that’s assuming some of them weren’t just stupid) there, which there probably weren’t, that’s one in every seven hundred and fifty thousand people in America.

#6  IIRC, and don't hold me on all the details, during Comicon in San Diego there was a perhaps quasi official event called a zombie walk in which convention goers dressed as zombies and walked along a route in downtown San Diego. Only problem is the police didn't block off the streets. So along comes a deaf man in his car, with passengers IIRC. He got stuck in the crowd and they started harassing him, maybe all in zombie fun, but he didn't understand. He panicked and the result was tragic.

#8  The most telling part of that auto accident (the one in Charlettesville) was that a reporter filmed it and was attacked by Antifa right afterwards. Normally you would think Antifa would want all the coverage they could of a Facist running over innocent people.

#9  No, they're IN your bed.... Soros, Antifa, need I go on?
