Fifth Column
Chicago Police Release Video Of ‘Antifa’ Using Protest As Cover, Changing To All Black, Arming Against Cops
[DailyWire] CPD is now investigating whether a violent confrontation between protesters and police was pre-planned.

reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
Police Department officials released a surveillance video late Monday, taken with existing closed-circuit city cameras monitoring Chicago’s Grant Park, showing a peaceful protest being used as cover to instigate an all-out riot that injured dozens of coppers and led to several arrests.

The video, taken last Friday during a protest to remove a statue of Christopher Columbus located in Grant Park, shows a group of "protesters" suddenly break off from a larger, peaceful demonstration, and move under the cover of trees. Suddenly, dozens of black umbrellas open to shield the group from CCTV cameras.

CPD says the action was pre-planned, and that, while shielded from view by the umbrellas, the "protesters" changed from street clothes to all black and distributed items, including frozen water bottles and fireworks, which they then used to confront Chicago coppers guarding the Columbus statue. In the video, a man in a white shirt dumps out what appears to be bags of these makeshift weapons.

Nearly 50 officers sustained injuries in the following melee. One officer suffered a broken eye socket, per CPD. At least 18 protesters were arrested.

"Police were caught off-guard by the violence and 49 officers were maimed after projectiles and fireworks were thrown at them. Eighteen had to be treated at area hospitals, and officers have now been ordered to wear their protective gear at all future protests," ABC 7 Chicago reported Monday.

CPD released the footage after officers were accused of using excessive force to break up the "peaceful" protesters. One of the demonstrators, an 18-year-old woman, claims to have lost a tooth in a confrontation with officers as they were clearing the park. Her account of the incident, however, is in question after "a pro-police group" released a series of videos appearing to show the woman "provoking" police, per Chicago’s NBC affiliate.

"What began as a peaceful protest at Grant Park Friday evening devolved into a very dangerous situation, in which mob action deliberately sought to injure officers," Chicago police superintendent David Brown said in a presser on Monday, announcing CPD’s release of the footage.

"Peaceful demonstrations have been hijacked by organized mobs," he added. "We just don’t want to believe people would act this way toward us. That they would take advantage of us. That they would take advantage of our sacred right, the First Amendment. I have ordered all of our officers to wear any and all protective gear when protests occur."

Brown added that Chicago police were investigating whether the violence had been planned alongside the protests. Evidence suggests the incident may have been heavily coordinated, and police believe that "PVC pipe used to hold the Black Lives Matters banners had been sharpened," per ABC 7 Chicago. The pipes were then used as weapons to "jab at officers" blocking access to the statue.

"That’s not peaceful protest, that’s anarchy, and we are going to put that down," Chicago’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot
...the diminutive and vacuous Heronner da Mare of Chicago. When the corpse count rises she blames the guns, which are banned anyway...
, told media. "We are actively investigating, and we will bring those people to justice. We want people to feel safe."

It's not much of a black site, nor a place where human rights are violated. But the drama queens gotta drama.

Navy veteran beaten and pepper-sprayed by federal agents at protest in Portland
[USAToday] A Navy veteran said he went to a protest in Portland to talk with the federal agents deployed by President Donald Trump. Instead, he was beaten and sprayed with pepper gas in a confrontation captured in a now-viral video.

Although protests in Portland have been going on for weeks, Christopher David, 53,
...who generally goes by the less formal Chris David...
told the Associated Press he decided to join the protest for the first time Saturday night because he was disturbed by reports of federal officers in unmarked cars arresting people without explanation.
Sure he was. What else, besides supporting an anarcho-communist front group, has he been doing since he left the Navy, and what did he do and for how long, back before he was discharged?
“What they were doing was unconstitutional,” said David, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a Navy veteran.
That’s certainly one perspective. Not what one might call an educated or thoughtful perspective, but definitely one of many possible ways to view the situation..
”Sometimes I worry that people take the oath of office or the oath to the Constitution, and it’s just a set of words that mean nothing. They really don’t feel in their heart the weight of those words.”

David said the federal officers came charging out of the federal building and plowed into a group of protesters. He said he stood his ground after one officer shoved him backward. Another officer pointed a semi-automatic weapon at his chest.

“They came out to fight,” David said.

What happened when he tried to talk to the officers is captured in a video shot by Zane Sparling, a reporter with The Portland Tribune.
The PT is one of those free semi-weekly newspapers that isn’t even worth what the reader didn’t pay for it. But we can tell how good it is by the fact that its reporters submit several second long cell phone recordings as legitimate work product...
One officer hits David with a baton five times, blows that broke his ring finger and another bone in his hand. David doesn't move or flinch. Then, another officer – wearing green military camouflage, a helmet and gas mask – sprays him in the face with what appears to be pepper gas.

David tries to shove the officer's hand away, then finally turns around and walks away while raising his middle fingers. He is wearing a Navy sweatshirt and hat.

Video of the incident has more than 13 million views as of Tuesday morning. David said he will need reconstructive surgery on his finger.

Kenneth T. Cuccinelli, acting deputy secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, told CNN that he was “familiar with the video” and that the officers were with the U.S. Marshals Service. Cuccinelli said DHS officers were in Portland because of threats to federal facilities but added that “maintaining an appropriate response is an ongoing obligation.”

DHS called some of the protesters “violent anarchists” in a statement about the protests in Portland. The agency said protesters had launched objects at federal officers, set fires and tried to barricade officers inside the federal building.

David said he has become a symbol of the militarized response to the protests in Portland but wants to shift focus back to the goals of the protesters.

“It isn’t about me getting beat up. It’s about focusing back on the original intention of all of these protests, which is Black Lives Matter,” David said.

#3  Sorry — Portland. From the New York Times article about the Portland protests:

Attending the protests for the first time over the weekend was Christopher David, 53, a former Navy civil engineering corps officer and a 1988 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Mr. David, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound former Navy varsity wrestler...

Portland insurgency roundup: Antifa moms form human wall

Portland protesters are protected by their MOMS who form human wall
[THE-SUN] PORTLAND protesters were protected by their moms who formed a human wall during a face-off with Trump's federal officers. At least 30 parents linked arms with one another on Saturday chanting "feds stay clear, moms are here!" and "leave our kids alone."
Tattoos aren’t shocking enough in their PTA, so they’re upping the radical chic ante.
The women, who were seen wearing bike helmets, demonstrated outside of a federal courthouse for a few hours, before officers used tear gas and flashed bangs to get them to leave the area, Buzzfeed reported.

Federal officers were sent into the city last week after festivities between police and protesters ensued.

Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to call protesters in Portland "anarchists" and defend his decision to deploy federal troops to the Oregon city.

"We are trying to help Portland, not hurt it," the president wrote. "Their leadership has, for months, lost control of the anarchists and agitators.

"They are missing in action. We must protect Federal property, AND OUR PEOPLE. These were not merely protesters, these are the real deal!"

‘We Warned Them’: Dallas Police Chief Had Nearly 700 Protesters Taken Into Custody For Blocking Highway
[DailyWire] Last month, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall had nearly 700 individuals taken into custody and hit with at-large arrest charges after they blocked a major highway in the city.

After blocking the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, 647 protesters were put in zip-tie handcuffs.

An unapologetic Hall said in a subsequent presser that she was the one that made the call to detain individuals and reiterated that she "warned" protesters not to break the law, lest they be arrested.

"We warned them," she said, FOX 4 reported at the time. "If you break the law, we will arrest you."

"There are many who question and are not happy with the decisions that I made on yesterday," Hall said, as noted by CNS News. "Let me be clear, I am not here to make people happy. My job and our job in law enforcement is to keep this city safe. We have pledged that. We will do that. And that is our goal."

"Although peaceful, the protesters broke the law," the police chief continued. "On last night, they assembled and then they began to walk, and we supported that walk. When they began to enter the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge they were given a warning because it is against the law."

"The penal code 42.03, obstruction of a highway or passageway, says they are not allowed to walk in the middle of the roadway or freeway or overpass," Hall explained.

The chief reiterated that protesters were warned, yet still blocked the highway. "They did not stop," she said. "They decided to take a knee on the bridge and hold their hands up and say, ’Don’t shoot!'"

"Again, no one should be surprised because my statement is, if you break the law, we will arrest you," Hall stated.

On Sunday, protesters in Rochester, New York, blocked a major highway during an anti-police protest as officers surrounded them for protection.

None of the protesters were detained, arrested, or charged.

On the same day as the radical anti-police protest, two vehicles personally belonging to Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies were torched at their home.

The cause of the fire is being investigated as arson and the motive remains unclear.

As noted by The Daily Wire last month, Hall was later featured in a video posted in mid-June to express "solidarity with people protesting the death of George Floyd," which ended with the police chief getting down on one knee.

"To the communities we serve: We hear you. But before we move forward, we need to pause," the video statement says. "To listen before we speak. And to kneel before we stand. ... We join those in law enforcement who are stopping, listening and kneeling."

The statement in the video concludes, "Because Black lives do matter."

Oklahoma DA slaps teens with terrorism charges, accuses BLM of intimidating officers, protecting criminals
[FoxNews] Two teenagers are the latest to face terrorism charges after allegedly helping to break in the windows of an Oklahoma City bail bonds business in late May during the civil unrest that swept the nation in the wake of the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.

Several dozen protesters conducted a sit-in at the office of Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater on Monday to demand that he drop the terrorism charges and resign. But Prater maintained last week that those who incite violence in the streets are “criminals” who “have subverted peaceful protests and impaired the open discussion regarding race in our country.”

“When you employ these tactics for a political purpose, you are a terrorist,” he said.

Prater also accused Black Lives Matter protestors of trying to intimidate him and law enforcement and of defending “criminals who are violent, exploitive and unscrupulous.”

The district attorney said: “It is my job to protect innocent citizens and their property and I will continue to do it to the best of my ability.”

The local chapter of Black Lives Matter criticized Prater for bringing the terrorism charges against “protesters,” especially in Oklahoma City, where a “white supremacist terrorist attack” killed at least 168 people and injured hundreds more on April 19, 1995. The bombing was the worst terrorist attack to take place on U.S. soil until that on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.

“To conflate acts of vandalism against property with acts of terrorist violence against human beings is a moral and legal equivocation without compare,” its petition on Change.org said. “It is an insult to survivors of terrorism and it is a sacrilege to its victims. Please join us in condemning these charges and demanding that [Oklahoma County] District Attorney David Prater dismiss them without delay.”

Haley Lin Crawford and Sydney Lynch, who both turned 18 within the past month, were charged last week with acting with a large crowd to unlawfully break the windows of CJ's Bail Bonds in Oklahoma City on May 30, the Oklahoman reported. The charges came after investigators identified the two young women using Facebook Live video streamed by other demonstrators and tips to CrimeStoppers.

“These charges carry a $1 million bond, meaning innocent Oklahomans are left to suffer in Oklahoma County Jail, which is routinely ranked as one of the worst jails in the nation,” the post said. “Prater even arrested a child on their 18th birthday — and is awaiting the 18th birthday of additional demonstrators to throw into jail.”

At least three others had been charged with terrorism after the May 30 incident.

Isael Antonio Ortiz, 21, of Welch, was indicted on two terrorism counts for allegedly first setting fire to an Oklahoma County sheriff’s van before then trying to burn down CJ's Bail Bonds, the Oklahoman reported. Eric Christopher Ruffin, 26, of Oklahoma City, was charged with terrorism and accused of encouraging “wanton destruction” by recording himself helping Ortiz set the sheriff’s van ablaze.

Malachai Davis, 18, of Edmond, was also charged with terrorism after investigators identified him on Facebook Live footage breaking the window of CJ Bail Bond’s using what appeared to be brass knuckles. His attorney, David McKenzie, called the charges against his client ironic given Davis’ own father died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.

And at least six others have been charged with rioting. At least one has been charged with assault and battery against a police officer during the civil unrest that same May night.

Several dozen protesters on Monday marched from a downtown Oklahoma City park to the courthouse, where several demanded to meet with Prater and asked for his resignation. Those conducting the sit-in were arrested on trespassing complaints after they refused to leave when the building closed at 5 p.m., said Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department Capt. Charles Avery.

They want Prater to reopen his investigation into the April 2019 shooting death of 17-year-old Isaiah Mark Lewis by police in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond. They also want Prater to drop charges against some protesters who were charged with various crimes during demonstrations in late May against police brutality and racism, according to the Associated Press.

Turkey Continues Bombarding Kurdistan Region Borders
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
Head of the local administration of Deraluka, Amedi district of Duhok, told BasNews on Tuesday that the Turkish bombardments have caused massive damages to the welfare of the people in the border villages.

“The bombardments continue for the third consecutive day, and they have destroyed multiple farmlands and pastures in the area,” Sami Oshana said.

Out of 57 villages within the administration of Deraluka subdistrict, 45 have been already evacuated in fear of the continued clashes, Oshana added, noting that seven civilians have been killed in the past two years by the military conflicts between Turkey and PKK.

“Two locals have also gone missing since the beginning of the tensions.”

Hizbullah terrorists kidnapped German journalist in Baghdad
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
Hella Mewis was kidnapped near Tarkib, an Iraqi contemporary arts institute in the capital’s Abu Nawas neighbourhood, a friend of the curator, who asked to remain anonymous, told Rudaw English.

"Hila was expecting to be kidnapped because all of us expected this fate, and yet she was against the idea of protections and confinement in an office that could not be left without protections and armor," reads a social media post from Sarsam early on Tuesday morning.

She was "riding her bicycle when two cars, one of them a white pickup truck used by some security forces, were seen kidnapping her," a security source told AFP of Mewis’ abduction.

"There is a police car parked in front of her place of work, yet they didn’t do anything," the anonymous friend told Rudaw English, adding that locals who know Mewis witnessed her abduction.

Mewis, who had lived in Baghdad for years, took part in ongoing protests that began sweeping across Baghdad and Iraq's Shiite-majority south in October, voraciously documenting them on Takrib’s Instagram account. Her friend said the involvement of a foreigner in the protests saw her branded a spy by what he called an "electronic army" of online anonymous trolls.
Expert hint: don’t get involved in local politics, especially demonstrations against the government or the local power, whether legal or illegal.

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hezbollah terrorist killed in alleged Israeli airstrikes in Syria
[Jpost] Five Iranian and pro-Iranian Lions of Islam were killed in the strikes as well, according to initial reports.

The Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist movement announced on Tuesday that Ali Kamel Mohsen Jawad, a member of Hezbollah, was killed in alleged Israeli Arclight Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in Damascus on Monday night. Israel is concerned about a possible response from Hezbollah, according to KAN news.

Five pro-Iranian Lions of Islam were killed and four others were maimed in the strikes, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). While the identities of most of the dead are unknown, it is known that they were not of Syrian nationality, according to SOHR.

A military source told Syria’s state news agency SANA on Monday night that seven Syrian soldiers were maimed in the strikes. According to SOHR, the soldiers are from the Syrian Air Force’s Air Defense Force and two of the soldiers are at death's door.

Syrian air defense systems were activated on Monday evening after Israeli aircraft launched missiles towards sites south of Damascus from over the Majdal Shams area of the Golan Heights, according to SANA.

Syrian air defenses responded to Israeli missiles in As-Suwayda, Izraa and Quneitra in southern Syria as well, according to SOHR.

According to al-Arabiya, Israeli helicopters took part in some of the strikes on Monday evening, and Syrian air defense systems were targeted.

Syrian military defectors said the strike targeted a major Iranian-run ammunition depot in Jabal al Mane near the town of Kiswa, where Iranian Revolutionary Guards have long been entrenched in a rugged area almost 15 km. south of the center of Damascus.

Other strikes hit Muqaylabiya and Zakiya towns near Kiswa where Lebanese pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia are deployed with other pro-Tehran militias in strength, according to two senior army defectors.

"The Israelis have targeted a major ammunition depot. There were several strikes and the blasts were huge. There are reports that Iranian personnel have been killed," said Zaid al Reys, a Syrian analyst in touch with sources on the ground.

Shortly after the strikes on Monday evening, Israel closed the airspace above the Golan Heights east of the Jordan River until the end of July.
The strikes come after a relative lull in alleged Israeli strikes in Syria in the past month.

The last airstrike blamed on Israel in Syria was reported in the Deir Ezzor area of eastern Syrian on Saturday, June 27, when nine pro-Iranian militia members were killed in al-Bukamal.

Over the past several months, Israel has been accused of dozens of strikes. In June, a series of airstrikes were reported on almost a weekly basis.

Missile fragments from Israeli-Syrian confrontation fall in Jordan
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
A fire broke out on Monday evening in an empty area in the Irbid Governorate of Jordan, after fragments from a Syrian air defense missile and Israeli projectile fell inside the Hashemite Kingdom.

Citing the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate’s statement, the Jordan Today website reported that the fire resulted from the fall of a shell in the Bani Kenana area, which is in the northern part of the Irbid Governorate, near the Syrian border.

Residents in the areas of Kafr Asad and Daqra, posted videos on social media, showing the flames at two sites, which are not the region mentioned by the Jordanian security in his statement.
