Afghanistan
1 Civilian Killed, 4 Wounded in Nangarhar Blast
[ToloNews] At least one civilian was killed and four more were maimed--including two women--in a blast that targeted a vehicle in the eastern province of Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
on Monday morning, local security officials said.

The blast took place in PD5 of Jalalabad city, the capital of the province, when a vehicle was hit by a roadside mine, said Attaullah Khogyani, a front man for the provincial governor.

"A man who had a rickshaw was killed and two women, a child and a man were maimed in the blast," he said, adding that "the maimed were taken to a nearby hospital."

No group immediately grabbed credit for the blast.

Past 24 Hours: 4 District Centers Fall, ANDSF Secures Kunduz City
[ToloNews] Four districts in two provinces fell under Taliban
...Arabic for students...
control in the last 24 hours; however, Afghan forces also made advances in Kunduz and Takhar, officials and other sources said.

The centers of Khwaja Omari, Muqor and Waghaz districts in Ghazni and Khoshamand district in Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
fell to the Taliban in the last 24 hours, according to sources.

"From 18 districts in Ghazni, I think seven districts have fallen to the Taliban. In three districts, only the center is under government control and three are somehow good," said Khoddad Irfani, an MP from Ghazni.

"Some bases and districts have already fallen (to the Taliban). Two more districts fell to the holy warriors in the last 24 hours," said Hamidullah Noori, member of the Ghazni provincial council.

After two weeks of festivities in different parts of Kunduz, particularly on the outskirts of Kunduz city, some stability has been restored since Sunday night.

"The situation in the city is good, it is improving. All shops have been reopened," Kunduz resident said.

"Security should be ensured. How long should this war continue? We are not calm during the day and night," said a Kunduz resident.

The security forces said they will continue their efforts to strengthen their posts on the outskirts of Kunduz city.

"All the security forces who have come to the center of Kunduz from other districts have been deployed to different parts of the city," said Shah Mahmood Fazli, acting commander of the first regiment of 217 Pamir Corps.

Amid fierce battles in the last two months, Pakistain's interior minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, during an interview with Geo News said that families of Afghan Taliban reside in his country, including in the capital city of Islamabad.

He also said the Taliban receive medical treatment in Pak hospitals.

"Taliban families live here--in Pakistain, in Rawat, Loi Ber, Bara Kahuh and Tarnol," Rashid told the Urdu-language network citing the names of Islamabad suburbs.

"Sometimes their dead bodies arrive and sometimes they come here in hospitals to get medical treatment," he said.

Afghans responded to the remarks by the Pak minister, including National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib, who welcomed the disclosure. However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
the Taliban rejected the remarks by the Pak minister and said their leaders and their families are living in Afghanistan.

8,000 Families Displaced in Baghlan in 3 Weeks
[ToloNews] Government figures show that 8,000 families were displaced in Baghlan in the last three weeks, leaving many of them stranded on the streets of the northern city of Pul-e-Khumri while others live in close quarters with dozens in a single home.

In one instance, 17 families are living in one home, said TOLOnews news hound Sharif Amiri.

There are many houses on the outskirts of Pul-e-Khumri — in Band-e-Do area for instance — that have been destroyed in the fight between the government forces and the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Many homes that have been evacuated are looked after by at least one member of each family.

Saifuddin, a resident of Pul-e-Khumri, said he looks after their home and has sent other family members to a safer place, but he added that his home has been severely damaged in the festivities.

"My 1,350 dollars and 280,000 afghanis were burned. I came here to get the bag... but it was burned," Saifuddin said. His two-story building, made of concrete in a common fashion favored by many Afghans, has been damaged and many parts of his house have been damaged, including assets within the building.

The displaced people have been seen everywhere in the central parts of Pul-e-Khumri city for the last three weeks. They are searching for safer places to live.

"The festivities erupted. We left. We could not take anything with us," said Mohammad Akbar, a displaced person.

"Unfortunately, 8,000 families have been displaced. We helped 1,500 families," said Sharifullah Shafaq, the head of the Refugees and Repatriation Directorate in Baghlan.

In another home that has 7 rooms, Anwar Shah, a displaced person, said he lives there with 17 families who have left their homes in other parts of the province due to ongoing conflicts.

"Our homes were left under Taliban mortars and bullets. Our assets were left there. We only have blankets," Anwar Shah said.

Eight districts in Baghlan have fallen to the Taliban in the fighting over the last three weeks. Security forces have retaken two of the districts: Doshi and Khinjan.

Afghan airforce to target smugglers of military tanks to Pakistan: MOI
[KhaamaPress] The acting Interior Minister, Abdul Satar Mirzakwal in a visit to Paktia province in the south-east of Afghanistan warned the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
to stop taking the military equipment and tanks they seize from the Afghan military in war to Pakistain.

Anyone smuggling the military tanks to Pakistain will be directly targeted by the Afghan airforce, said the acting Interior Minister.

According to Mirzakwal, the Taliban takes the military equipment including military tanks to Pakistain through Zabul Province.

"There are evidence and footage that Taliban take military equipment to Pakistain", Shamim Khan Katawazai, head of the Afghan’s Independent Directorate of Local Governance said.

On the other hand, the Taliban has rejected the claim on the transfer of military equipment and vehicles across the Durand Line.

Since the withdrawal of foreign troops, the Taliban seized several districts and captured military equipment and vehicles that remained from the Afghan cops in the war field.

Africa Horn
Ethiopia declares immediate, unilateral cease-fire in Tigray
[AlAhram] The statement carried by state media came shortly after the Tigray interim administration, appointed by the federal government, fled the regional capital, Mekele, and called for a cease-fire on humanitarian grounds

Æthiopia's government on Monday declared an immediate, unilateral cease-fire in its Tigray region after nearly eight months of deadly conflict and as hundreds of thousands of people face the world's worst famine crisis in a decade.

The cease-fire ``will enable farmers to till their land, aid groups to operate without any military movement around and engage with remnants (of Tigray's former ruling party) who seek peace,'' Æthiopia's statement said, adding that efforts to bring Tigray's former leaders to justice continue.

Æthiopia said the cease-fire will last until the end of the crucial planting season in Tigray. The season's end comes in September. The government ordered all federal and regional authorities to respect the cease-fire.

``The government has the responsibility to find a political solution to the problem,'' the head of the interim administration, Abraham Belay, said in calling for the cease-fire, adding that some elements within Tigray's former ruling party are willing to engage with the federal government.

There was no immediate comment from the Tigray fighters.

The region in recent days has seen some of the fiercest fighting of the conflict, and some Mekele residents on Monday cheered the arrival of Tigray forces.

Thousands of people have been killed in the conflict as Æthiopian and allied forces pursue Tigray's former leaders and their supporters, and as humanitarian groups plead for more access to the region of 6 million people. International pressure on Æthiopia spiked again last week after a military Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on a busy market in Tigray killed more than 60 people.

Al-Shabaab executes 6 alleged to be US ''spies'' in Somalia
[Garowe] al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
group has announced it executed six people whom it accused of being US spies in Somalia, adding that "they all confessed of working with enemy" but there was no concrete evidence given by the murderous Moslem's proxy media outlets.

Those executed, the group said, were five men and a woman who were believed to be working with locals to spy on al-Shabaab activities across the country, thus "endangering our operations without justification".

Al-Shabaab media outlets said the six were executed on Sunday in Saakow town within Middle Juba where the group has a firm grip. Saakow is used for training by the Lions of Islam due to its proximity to Jilib town, the de facto headquarters for the al-Shabaab murderous Moslems.

Al-Shabaab judge claimed the six "confessed" to "spying" but didn’t release evidence to back up the allegation. Usually, the team subjects its captivates to a rigorous judicial process but the victims are not allowed to have legal representatives.

The US has been fundamental in the fight against al-Shabaab within and outside Somalia, despite the fact that US Africa Command troops were withdrawn early this year. There were close to 700 US soldiers in Somalia, some of who were responsible for the training of the Danab Special Forces.

A couple of weeks ago, State Department announced the deployment of more soldiers to Kenya's North Eastern region where they will help Kenya Defense Forces in the fight against the murderous Moslems. Already the troops have been sighted in Wajir County in Kenya.

It's in Saakow town where a US Africa Command Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
left Bashir Qorab, a renowned al-Shabaab operative, dead. Bashir was being sought for sponsoring and coordinating al-Shabaab operations within and outside Somalia.

The execution comes in a day close to 55 people were killed by either al-Shabaab or through executions engineered by authorities in Somalia. An al-Shabaab attack left 34 people dead in Wisil town within the state of Galmadug, authorities said.

About two hours after the attack in Wisil, authorities in the regional state of Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
executed 21 men accused of al-Shabaab membership and terrorism, regional police commander Colonel Mumin Abdi Shire told the media.

The men were convicted in separate trials in the towns of Galkayo, Garowe, and Qardho this year. Eighteen of the men were lined up next to a sandhill outside the town of Galkayo. Security forces facing them opened fire, executing them. Separately, three other men were executed in Garowe and Qardho town. All of the executions were by firing squad. It is the largest single execution of al-Shabaab Lions of Islam in Somalia, observers say.

Security officials in Puntland accused the men of involvement in a series of liquidations and attacks, spanning more than 10 years, which claimed the lives of regional and community leaders, security officers, and journalists.

Al-Shabaab is largely active in south-central Somalia. The group also has a small footprint in Puntland in the northeast. Puntland is a semi-autonomous state.

How Puntland has successfully tamed Al-Shabaab in Somalia
[Garowe] For close to a decade now, Somalia has struggled to keep violent mostly peaceful faceless myrmidons at Bay, losing thousands of innocent civilians and security forces through cowardly acts of al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
and at times, the IS-Somalia Islamists who are found in sections of Galgala mountains.

Particularly, the snuffies have seized several parts of central and southern Somalia, where they recruit and train young people, further making it difficult for the security forces to tame them. Most areas of the Juba and Shabelle regions are under the control of the krazed killers.

Ethiopian rebel troops enter Mekele
Direct translation of the article. Edited
[REGNUM] In Ethiopia, units of the Tigray Popular Liberation Front (NPLF) took control of the administrative center of Tigray state, the city of Mekele, Reuters news agency reported on June 28, citing Reda Getachev, a member of the NPLT executive committee .

According to some reports, the local administration has already left the city. It is reported that Ethiopian troops are retreating east to the Afar region. The prisoners were released from the prisons of Mekele, the UN office was ransacked.

There is no official confirmation of this information.

As reported by IA REGNUM , in the Ethiopian state of Tigray since December 2020, an anti-terrorist operation has been carried out to neutralize certain rebel structures.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] The events in Ethiopia are developing in a funny way.

Last year, the Ethiopian army confidently defeated the armed forces of Tigray, occupied the capital and major cities of the rebellious region.

The remnants of the armed forces of the NFOT went to the partisans, who received support from the territory of neighboring countries.

The following months were marked by massive atrocities and killings on both sides, but the central government was unable to achieve serious progress in suppressing the partisan movement. All this took place against the backdrop of a complete humanitarian catastrophe, with a huge number of refugees and starving people.

Over the past two months, Tigray's forces have been under serious pressure and the government could not do anything about it, and domestic support for this war in Ethiopia has plummeted.

Recently, events began to accelerate, as a result of which the troops of Tigray again captured its capital Mekelle, and the interim government of the region appointed from the center fled along with the military.

On the last day, the military loaded money from banks into a transport vehicle to Addis Ababa and burned documents. Prisons were also abandoned, as a result of which both political and criminals fled. The units of the NFOT entered the city without encountering resistance.

After that, Ethiopia declared an "indefinite unilateral truce", which fixes the actual victory of the Tigray separatists and the defeat of the central government. In the capital of Tigray, celebrations were held to mark the victory over Ethiopia. Nevertheless, the forces of the Ethiopian and Eritrean armies still remain on the territory of Tigray, and clashes continue in some areas.

Boko Haram fighters pledge to Islamic State in video, worrying observers
[AlAhram] A group of fighters from Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
pledged allegiance to rivals the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
West African Province (ISWAP) weeks after the former group's leader died, according to a video seen by Rooters.
The video fuels fears that ISWAP is consolidating control of the insurgency in northeastern Nigeria following the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau
...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka...
last month. But not all observers are convinced the video is proof that all Boko Haram fighters are ready to join ISWAP.

The groups engaged in a violent mostly peaceful rivalry for years, and if ISWAP absorbs Boko Haram fighters, it could focus attention on attacking the Nigerian military.

Some 350,000 people have died as a result of the 12-year insurgency and subsequent humanitarian crisis, the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
said this week. read more

The video, produced by Islamic State's official media arm, showed clips of several hundred men, many of whom were armed, gathering in the bush. Several made statements to camera.

"We will unite together to fight the (unbelievers)," one Boko Haram fighter said in Hausa. "What will happen now will by far exceed what transpired in the past now that we're united."

Vincent Foucher, a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research who is an expert on the conflict, said the video adds to evidence that ISWAP was gaining control.

"It is one more indication that ISWAP has won," he said.

Foucher said other indicators of ISWAP's consolidation of power included its claims of attacks in areas that had been Boko Haram zones of influence and a significant drop in violence against civilians in areas where Boko Haram operated.

However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
Bulama Bukarti, a senior analyst with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, dismissed the video as propoganda, noting that it did not feature senior Boko Haram leaders.

"I think Boko Haram is still very much divided and they will continue to fight each other," Bukarti said.

Special cell arrests man from Punjab in Red Fort flag hoisting case
[OneIndia] Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested a man from Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

in connection with the Red Fort flag hoisting case, officials said on Monday.

The accused is named Gurjot Singh, they said.
Of course. He’ll be one of those Khalistani Sikh independence Pakistan tools embedded in the ongoing farmers protest.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said, "Singh was arrested from Amritsar in Punjab. A reward of Rs one lakh was declared for his arrest."

Thousands of farmers protesting against the Centre's new agri laws had clashed with the police during a tractor parade on January 26.

Many of the protesters, driving tractors, reached the Red Fort and entered the monument. Some protesters even hoisted religious flags on its domes and a flagstaff at the ramparts, where the national flag is unfurled on Independence Day.

Alert Indian security forces thwart drone activities over Ratnuchak- Kaluchak military area
[OneIndia] A major threat was averted thanks to the alertness and proactive approach of the Indian security forces who thwarted a drone attack in the military area of Jammu.

Two separate drone activities were spotted over the Ratnuchak-Kaluchak Military area by the troops on June 28. Lt Col Devender Anand, PRO (Defence) said that a high alert was sounded immediately and the Quick Reaction Teams engaged them wit firing.

Both the drones flew away. A major threat thwarted by the alertness and proactive approach of troops.

The security forces are on high alert and the search operation is in progress, Lt Col Anand also said.

Pakistain and its stooges in India have been using drones to carry out attacks and also transport arms and ammunition. The latest incident comes a day after it was reported that the Indian Air Force Base in Jammu witnessed attacks that were carried out by drones.

While it is clear that it was a Pakistain sponsored strike, the possibility of the drones being controlled from Indian territory was not ruled as the investigations commenced.

The threat from drones has been discussed for several years now. In Punjab, Pakistain based faceless myrmidons had used drones to drop off arms and ammunition which was meant to be transported later to Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
The suspected drones used in Sunday's attack dropped an explosive on the roof of a building at the station. Another explosive meant to target an aircraft missed the target and went kaboom! in an open area.

#1  Question: What is it like to have your house searched by the police?

Greetings, Salam Alykum Everyone

It’s a scary experience even for those who haven’t done anything. I can say this because my home was searched just a day ago.

Date: 24 June 2021

Time: 01:45 AM

Location: Downtown Srinagar; J&K India.

I was sleeping when I hear a loud knocking at the door of my room. It’s was my mom.

Mom: “Arfat wathu Police ha aaye yor” (Arfat wake up the Police is here)

I wake up and quickly took on my pajamas and a shirt while my heart was racing.

Why the hell would they come here? It is because I write against BJP? But my writings aren’t even popular, they hardly make a difference; I thought to myself.

I opened the door of my bedroom which leads to our living room. I saw someone from outside pointing his torch towards me.

“Bahar aajo” (Come outside!) he said in a strong but relatively milder tone.

“Ji Ji aarahe hai” (Yes, yes we are coming) I replied back politely.

Until then everyone in my house was awake. I was calm but my mom seemed particularly worried.

I went outside to the lobby along with my dad, I opened the door and I saw Policemen from Special Operations of J&K Police and Quick Action Team of CRPF. All of them were armed to teeth and pretty much look very scary (except the daylight)

They scare you, even when you know you haven’t done anything wrong. Nevertheless I decided to stay calm and cooperate with the Police as long as they don’t do something unacceptable.

“Sabhi Bahar Aajoo!” (All of you come outside!) said a CRPF jawan.

“Andre cha baye kah?” (Is someone else inside?) said a SOG jawan in Kashmiri.

“Do mastoorat hai aur nanaji” (Two females and our maternal grandfather) I replied back.

“Su cha buzarg” (Is he aged?) said the SOG jawan.

“Ahnez sohaz chu buzarg” (Yes he is aged) my dad replied back.

“Chalo theek chu; su roozen Andrei” (Okay fine let him be inside)

He allowed my nanaji to remain inside. Okay that’s nice of him (I thought to myself)

Meanwhile, I saw jawans in my neighbor's house; it looked like their house was being searched. I thought to myself:

Why is SOG here? Why is this locality being searched? I this a CASO? (cordon and search operation). So this isn’t about arresting me. Thank GOD. In that case the worst that could happen is that there is a militant or an OGW is hiding somewhere in our locality which surely will lead to an encounter and the best that could happen is that the police is somehow misinformed.

The door of our basement was open and the lights were on. Looked like they had already searched it while we were sleeping.

Some SOG jawans received some radio chatter and left just before ordering CRPF jawans to search my home.

One CRPF jawan loaded his rifle (the sound of which sent some good chills through my spine) and stepped into the lobby. His rifle had this big torch fitted into it and he checked the stairs leading to the second floor.

“Naam kya hai” he asked.

“Arfat” I replied back.

I was worried about nanaji because he has Panic disorder but surprisingly he was also calm.

Two CRPF Jawans searched nanaji’s room, guest room and the bathroom while I accompanied other two jawans into the kitchen, living room and my bedroom. They kept insisting on keeping the lights on and they kept asking:

Kio Mehmaan to nahi hai? (You don’t have a guest; do you?) By which they meant “are you hiding a militant in your home?”

“Ji Nahi” (No!) I replied politely back every time they asked.

It kind of sucks when someone gives you the look which says “You could be a militant”

When all of the rooms were searched we came back in the lobby and he asked:

“Arfat tum karte kya ho” (What do you do Arfat?) he said politely.

“Medical Intern hoon” (I am a Medical Intern) I replied back.

He saw my football which was lying in the lobby and said:

“Football khelte ho?” (You play football?)

“Haan” (Yes)

“Achi baat hai, isse jism mazboot rehta hai” (Good thing it keeps your body strong)

I simply nodded.

He is calling me by my name, asking about my hobbies, classic rapport building techniques. May be he sensed my fear and wants me to be calm (I thought to myself)

Now except the second floor everything was searched. The jawans surprisingly didn’t search the second floor and went outside and asked me to come with them.

Outside I saw a CRPF gypsy like this one and I think what were 60+ policemen.

Why are they taking me with them? I thought to myself. Are they about to detain me?

And the weirdest of all thoughts popped into my mind.

What if some evil minded informer has misled the security forces? What if someone wants me to be detained. No! that’s crazy why would anyone want to hurt me. I have no enemies.

When in stress mode your brain will try to figure out the worst possible scenario and will try to be ready for it. Thank God what I feared wasn’t true.

As soon as I approached the gypsy an Officer of J&K Police ordered:

“Arey Nahi Nahi Isko Jaane do” (Oh no, no, leave him)

I was asked to go back into my home which is what I did.

The other houses were still being searched and within 30 minutes most of our locality was searched. Another 30 min passed by and the police left without a single shot fired and even without arresting someone.

Shortly after the Police left the Azaan (call to prayer) was recited in the mosque. We prayed in our homes (covid protocol) and tried to sleep but couldn’t. We couldn’t make sense of the situation. The question of why the Police searched our locality was keeping us from sleeping.

Tomorrow morning we heard some rumors and I thought to myself how lucky are those who don’t live in a conflict zone and thus don’t have to wake up at 01:45AM because some armed personnel want to search their home.

P.S.:- The answer is based solely on my experience therefore my answer cannot be taken as a reference as to how security forces behave in search operations. The experience of different Kashmiris may differ. I have heard many people are treated harshly in search operations especially those who live in south Kashmir.

New semi-autonomous robot to be deployed to Gaza border
[JPost] - The IDF’s Gaza division will soon deploy a new semi-autonomous robotic ground vehicle called the Jaguar along the border with the Gaza Strip, replacing soldiers along the border where they could be targets by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Developed over the past year and half by Israel Aerospace Industries in close cooperation with the technological department of the IDF’s Ground Forces Command, it is currently being integrated into the Gaza division.
I understand there are some inquiries from progressive (defund the police) municipalities in USA.

Unidentified persons killed two Syrian IDP sisters in al-Hole
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

On Monday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), found the bodies of two displaced sisters who were killed by unidentified persons in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

“The two displaced sisters, Ghufran Ahmed Khalaf, 23 and Asma Ahmed Khalaf, 17, were killed in the fifth sector of the camp,” a security source in Hawl Camp told North Press.

The source did not mention any other details about the two victims and whether any suspects had been arrested.

On June 23, a woman of Russian origin in Hawl Camp, was subjected to an assassination attempt by extremist women in the ISIS families’ section in the camp.

In late March, The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by counter-terrorism units and the rapid intervention force arrested dozens of wanted individuals as part of a security campaign in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah city.

A statement by Asayish forces said then that during the first quarter of this year, ISIS sleeper cells killed 47 people in the camp.

Global Coalition base in Syria's Deir ez-Zor attacked
[NPASYRIA] On Monday evening, a military base of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the al-Omar oil field in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, was hit with mortar shells, while the Coalition’s drones bombed the headquarters of pro-Iranian groups on the western bank of the Euphrates River.

"US Forces in Syria were attacked by multiple rockets," OIR front man, Col. Wayne Marotto tweeted.

"There are no injuries and damage is being assessed. We will provide updates when we have more information," he added.

The matter started with two mortar shells falling near the al-Omar oil field, so that the Coalition forces bombed points of the pro-Iranian groups in the town of al-Qoriya and the countryside of al-Mayadin, 25 km east of Deir ez-Zor, on the western bank of the Euphrates River, through drones, a military source close to the SDF in the area told North Press.

"After that, the groups launched two other shells, one of which fell near the Coalition’s base in the al-Omar field," the source added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Bert climbed the cocoanut tree, looking for ships. He saw none. He looked in the other direction and saw Irene, vigorously scrubbing her backside...
the SDF Special Units targeted positions of the pro-Iranian groups on the western bank of the river with automatic weapons, according to the same source.

Eyewitnesses from the city of al-Mayadin told North Press that members of pro-Iranian groups withdrew from their points towards the cities amidst a great mobilization among the pro-Iranian groups and members of the Syrian government forces in the area.

Iran-backed militias said to fire mortars at US base in Syria
[IsraelTimes] Pro-Iranian militias fire several shells at a US base in eastern Syria’s al-Omar oil field on Monday night, causing damage but no casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says.

The development comes after the US launched Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. groups in eastern Syria and western Iraq.

In retaliation for the shelling, "heavy artillery has been fired by the (US-led) international coalition" on the town of al-Mayadeen, controlled by Iranian militias, says the observatory, a UK-based pro-Syrian opposition organization of uncertain funding which has had its credibility questioned in the past.

Syrian state news agency SANA meanwhile says that "missiles... targeted a military base of the US occupation forces in the al-Omar oil field," without citing who was responsible.
