Take all the walls down, to save the children?

Or smother the news with a pillow?

#5  ..#4 From India? Why on earth does someone from India need to enter America illegally?

A most interesting question. From the Article:
The numbers of Indian people crossing US borders and being apprehended has grown steadily in recent years.

Possibly too expensive or time-consuming to get in legally? A Viet Namese buddy had to post a bond to bring his family in - $30K if memory serves. No idea how this compares to the cost for a coyote.

Israeli planes hit several Gaza sites after Sderot rocket attack

[IsraelTimes] Israel planes carried out multiple Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in the Gazoo Strip early Friday, hours after a rocket hit a religious school in southern Israel.

The Israeli military said in a statement that fighter jets and other aircraft attacked "several terror targets, including terror infrastructure in military compounds."

It said it also hit a naval base belonging to the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group.

"The attack was carried out in response to the rocket that was shot from the Gazoo Strip earlier this evening," the army said.

A video released by the military showed a number of strikes on unspecified targets.

The Hamas-linked Shehab news agency said there were three strikes on a naval facility near Khan Younis in southern Gazoo, causing damage.

It said sites east of Gazoo City were also attacked.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The strikes came hours after a rocket launched from Gazoo slammed into a building housing a religious school, causing damage but no injuries. The rocket, which did not explode, struck the outer face of the yeshiva, sending debris onto the sidewalk. A number of tempered-glass windows were also broken.

Most students had gone home for the weekend, but several people were still inside the school at the time.

Fake news: Iran rescues 44 sailors after oil tanker attack. Real news: The Yanks dunnit
So they claimed, anyway.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Iranian rescue services saved 44 sailors from tankers after a reported attack and took them to the Iranian port of Jask, the state-run IRNA news agency reported on Thursday.

The US Navy’s 5th Fleet also said that it was assisting two oil tankers targeted in a "reported attack" near the Strait of Hormuz after the vessels sent distress calls.

It was not immediately clear who attacked the vessels, one of which has been identified as Front Altair, a crude oil tanker owned by Norway’s Frontline and carrying the flag of the Marshall Islands.

According to shipping newspaper Tradewinds, Frontline’s oil tanker had been "torpedoed" off the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah.

Taiwan’S energy firm CPC said it had suspicions that Front Altair, which was carrying 75,000 tonnes of naphtha, was hit by an unknown object.

Meanwhile,

to Singapore with a cargo of methanol.

"The hull has been breached above the water line on the starboard side," the company said in a statement. "All crew are reported safe and only one minor injury reported."

Earlier in the day, Iran’s Press TV said that two successive blasts affected two oil tankers on Thursday morning in what it described as "attacks".

Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet quoted Oman authorities as saying that at least one tanker had been attacked in Iran’s territorial waters in the Gulf of Oman.

Brent crude climbed 4.5 percent in the wake of the reports.

Japanese tanker operator says crew aboard US warship, refuting Iranian claim

[IsraelTimes] The Japanese operator of a tanker that was damaged in a suspected attack in the Strait of Hormuz says all of its crewmembers are now safe onboard a US Navy warship.

The chemical tanker Kokuka Courageous, operated by Kokuka Sangyo Co., was apparently attacked as it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz toward Singapore and Thailand destinations to deliver methanol.

All of its 21 Filipino crewmembers escaped on a life boat and were initially rescued by a Dutch ship that was headed to the United Arab Emirates.

Company executive Michio Yube says the crewmembers are now on an US warship, which a US official told CBS News was the USS Bainbridge guided missile destroyer. One of the crewmembers received treatment for his injury sustained during the attacks.

(FSA) sleeper cell attacked a Syrian intelligence post in northern Daraa, today, killing at least two officers.

According to a local source, the Free Syrian Army sleeper cell carried out the attack at an intelligence post south of Busra al-Harir.

Following the attack, the Free Syrian Army fighters fled to an unknown location in the northern countryside of the Dara’a Governorate.

The Free Syrian Army sleeper cells have been carrying out sporadic attacks against the Syrian intelligence forces in southern Syria.

These attacks have resulted in the death of several Syrian intelligence officers over the last five weeks; this has prompted the military to send several units of reinforcements to the Daraa Governorate to help stop these ambushes.

Large Turkish military convoy heads to western Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish military sent a large convoy to the western countryside of the Idlib Governorate, opposition activists reported this morning.

According to the opposition activists, the Ottoman Turkish military entered the Idlib Governorate from the Hatay Province; they eventually made their way to the Jisr al-Shughour District.

The activists added that the Ottoman Turkish military began patrolling the area between Jisr al-Shughour and the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.

This move by the Ottoman Turkish military comes just 24 hours after a 72-hour-long ceasefire was announced in northwestern Syria.

Despite this ceasefire announcement, the jihadist rebels and their Ottoman Turkish-backed allies launched a heavy attack on the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions in the southwestern countryside of Idlib.

According to a report from northern Hama, the Syrian Air Force began their airstrikes over the southern countryside of Idlib, targeting the jihadist defenses in the large town of Khan Sheikhoun.

While the Russian Air Force has been downed due to their 72-hour-long ceasefire agreement with their Ottoman Turkish partners, the Syrian Air Force has resumed their airstrikes in response to the jihadist attack on the Syrian Army’s positions in southwestern Idlib.

Militants suffer heavy losses in failed offensive in southwestern Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels launched a powerful attack on the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in southwestern Idlib last night.

Using the cover of night, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
and their allies stormed the Syrian Arab Army’s positions at the eastern and northeastern axes of Qasabiyah.

For nearly two hours, the Syrian Arab Army and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham clashed at Qasabiyah last night; however, the latter was unable to crack the government’s lines.

According to a military source in northern Hama, the Syrian Arab Army was able to repel the jihadist attack, while also killing and wounding several Lions of Islam in the process.

The Syrian Arab Army then secured the area around Qasabiyah in order to prevent another attack from being carried out later that night.

Qasabiyah is a small town that is located at the southwestern slope of the al-Zawiya Mountain.

The Syrian Arab Army maintains a presence in southwestern Idlib as a result of their control over Qasabiyah.

Russia bombs jihadist base in Idlib with coordinates from Turkey
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Air Force resumed their bombing campaign over the Idlib Governorate on Thursday after taking a brief hiatus to negotiate a short-lived ceasefire with their Ottoman Turkish partners.

No further details were provided.

Turkey says Syrian forces hit observation tower in Idlib
[Al Jazeera] Syrian government forces have attacked a Ottoman Turkish observation point in Syria's Idlib province, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

's Defence Ministry has said, in what it assessed as a deliberate attack involving 35 mortar shells.

Three Ottoman Turkish soldiers were slightly maimed in the attack, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday, and some equipment and facilities were damaged.

"The transportation and treatment of the maimed [soldiers] is ongoing," the statement said. The ministry added that Ankara has made representations to Moscow about the incident.

Under a deal with Russia, Turkey deployed forces in Idlib at a dozen positions around the rebel-controlled northwestern province, where it has set up observation towers to prevent escalations between the Syrian government forces and rebels.

US sez it has has imagery showing Iranian boat removing unexploded mine from Gulf tanker
[CNN] The United States has video and photos that show an Iranian navy boat removing an unwent kaboom! mine attached to the hull of the Japanese-owned chemical tanker Kokura Courageous, four US officials tell CNN.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday blamed Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
for an attack on two tankers in the Gulf of Oman, saying the assessment was based on intelligence, but presented no public evidence to support his claim.

The attack comes at a time of high tensions between the US and Iran, and could provide more fodder for Iran hawks within the administration, whose recent Iran saber-rattling has frustrated President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
. One of them, national security adviser John Bolton, announced last month that the Pentagon was deploying the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a bomber task force to the Middle East in response to a "number of troubling and escalatory indications and warnings" from Iran.

One of the officials said a US military aircraft overhead recorded a full motion video of an Iranian boat moving alongside one of the stricken tankers and removing an ununexploded limpet mine from its hull. The official said the imagery shows a person on board that small boat grabbing the unexploded mine.

The boat made the move even after the USS Bainbridge, as well as a US drone and P-8 aircraft, had been on the scene for four hours. US defense officials believe that the Iranians were seeking to recover evidence of their involvement in the attack.

CNN has not independently seen the video. The officials described the photos and video to CNN on the condition they not be identified discussing sensitive military information. It is not clear if the imagery will be publicly shown.

Another of the officials tells CNN that multiple Iranian small boats have entered the area where the USS Bainbridge continues to be on the scene, prompting US Central Command to issue a statement saying, "No interference with USS Bainbridge, or its mission, will be tolerated."

Earlier Thursday, the two tankers -- one carrying oil and the other transporting chemicals -- were apparently attacked in international waters near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. All crew members were evacuated and were safe, according to the owners of the two ships.

The vessels were hit "at or below the waterline, in close proximity to the engine room," said the International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (Intertanko).

"These appeared to be well-planned and coordinated" attacks, the association said..

Jonathan Cohen, acting US ambassador to the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
, said Thursday that he echoed Pompeo's comments in a private meeting of the UN Security Council, describing the attack as "another example of Iran's destabilizing activities in the region."

The Iranian mission to the UN rejected the US' claim.

Alireza Miryousefi, a front man for the Iranian mission, tweeted a statement saying Iran "categorically rejects the US unfounded claim" that Iran is behind the attacks and "condemns it in the strongest possible terms."

He added that Iran "expresses concern" over the "suspicious incidents." And he called it "ironic" that the US, which withdrew from the nuclear deal with Iran, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, is now calling Iran to come back for negotiations and diplomacy.

Following the attack, Iran's foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said "suspicious doesn't begin to describe" this latest incident, noting that one of the tankers is Japanese owned and the attack took place as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was visiting Iran in an effort to calm tensions between Washington and Tehran.

"Reported attacks on Japan-related tankers occurred while PM was meeting with Ayatollah [Ali Khamenei] for extensive and friendly talks. Suspicious doesn't begin to describe what likely transpired this morning," Zarif tweeted Thursday.
