[FoxNews] A New Mexico police officer was tragically shot and killed during a traffic stop that set off a 40-mile chase earlier this year, ending with the suspect also dying in a shootout with police.
Officer Darian Jarrott initiated the February traffic stop on Omar Felix Cueva, who police say was on his way to Las Cruces for a drug deal.
Police said Cueva had a "violent criminal history," including drug charges involving cocaine and meth.
When Officer Jarrott, who was speaking to Cueva through the passenger window, asked him to step out of the vehicle, Cueva got out of the pickup truck with an AR-15-style rifle and fired a shot at Jarrott.
Jarrott fell to the ground, at which point Cueva fired several more shots at him, including one at point-blank range to the back of the head.
Less than a minute after Cueva fled the scene, a Homeland Security Investigations agent arrived on the scene and notified dispatch that Jarrott was down.
A 40-mile chase ensued as officers from New Mexico State Police, the Cruces Police Department, the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Border Patrol pursued Cueva, exchanging gunfire along the way.
Law enforcement eventually stopped Cueva by blowing out his tires with tire deflation devices.
Before Cueva's pickup truck even came to a stop, bystander video shows him exit his vehicle with a pistol and open fire on officers, who returned fire and killed Cueva.

The chief said Cueva was a man with a 'violent criminal history that included drug trafficking and other felonies.'
So he got his gun illegally. Those 'gun control' thingies only disarm the law abiding leaving you at the mercy of these criminals. File this under - professional courtesy of crooks (in and out of government).

[ToloNews] Last week was one of the deadliest weeks in the past three months as 107 people were killed and 110 more were maimed in various security incidents, most of which were attacks on security outposts, in various parts of the country, according to data collected by TOLOnews.
Of those killed from April 3 to April 9, 79 were security force members and 28 were civilians, according to the data collected from official sources.
Of those maimed, 49 are members of the Afghan forces and 57 are civilians, the data shows.

At least 11 security force members were killed in the attacks in the last three days, a provincial council member said.
"We urge Sar-e-Pul residents not to worry about anything; their security forces are ready to defend any hostile move against the country," Sar-e-Pul governor Qurban Murad Murad, the governor of Sar-e-Pul.

Mujahid added that the intelligence of Kabul administration has joint aims and operations with ISIS (IS-K).

[Garowe] A jacket wallah detonated his explosives outside a cafe in Somalia’s city of Baidoa on Saturday, killing at least four people and wounding more than six others, police said.
The bomber was targeting the Bay region governor, Ali Wardhere, who was outside the Suez Cafeteria, officials reported. The governor escaped the earth-shattering kaboom unharmed, according to the official government news agency, SONNA, which reported that at least two of his bodyguards, who were also coppers, were among the maimed.
"The explosion which was heard all around the town of Baidoa has terrorized the people and had created a momentary confusion," said Amin Maddey, who witnessed the earth-shattering kaboom and spoke to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named by telephone.

The people of Somalia are seeing major security lapses as leaders remain in deadlock over the political situation after elections were delayed earlier this year.
"The meeting between the federal government and the federal member states has ended in total failure," said the Minister of Information, Osman Abokor Dubbe, who blamed the two leaders of Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. On 3 April, SOHR sources reported that the return of the Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrian "mercenaries" from Libya had been suspended. On 29 March SOHR sources reported that the destination of the batches which left Libya on 25 March remained unknown.
The Observatory reported that there is an ongoing concern that the withdrawal of these fighters was only a Ottoman Turkish manoeuvre to appease the media. This is due to there being more than 6,630 mercenaries in Libya, from an all-time high of 18,000 at the height of the war last year.

Authorities in Kaduna State have warned that they will prosecute anyone who negotiates with the kidnappers of 39 missing students, as parents called for their rescue.
An understandable position when the bandits share their proceeds with Boko Haram, as we’ve been told by the highest authority that they do.
The students were taken from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Kaduna in March 2021.
Parents have appealed to the national government to negotiate for their release, but it has refused to do so.
Meanwhile, ...back at the hanging, Butch continued with his last words, trying not to repeat himself too often...... the Kaduna State government has announced that five of the students have been rescued by security operatives and are now receiving treatment at a military health facility.
Kidnapping has become rampant in many parts of Nigeria. The northern part of the country has increasingly become a hub for large criminal gangs who raid villages, killing and taking residents hostage, after looting and torching homes.
Between December 2020 and March 2021, there were at least five student-related kidnappings in the northern region.
The ministry did not name the alleged "enemy" but the executions were carried out in the southern province bordering Yemen where Saudi Arabia has been at war for more than six years against the Iran-aligned Houthi movement.

[ABC7Chicago] A north suburban man who was once pictured holding the ISIS flag at a popular state park, and who fantasized about seeing the terrorist flag on display at the White House, was sentenced Friday to 13 1/2 years in federal prison for terrorism-related offenses.
Edward "Abdul Wali" Schimenti, 39, from the lakeshore community of Zion north of Chicago, had been convicted in June of 2019 for conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization and for lying to the FBI. Schimenti's co-defendant in the terrorism case, Joseph D. Jones, 38, was sentenced last month to 12 years in prison. Federal prosecutors had asked that Schimenti receive a longer sentence than co-defendant Jones.

As ABC7's I-Team first reported five years ago, both men had a jihadist scheme to attack Great Lakes Naval Base , the Navy's sole basic training facility. They also expressed an interest in throwing people off the roof of the (former) Sears Tower skyscraper in Chicago. The violent mostly peaceful scenarios were not serious threats, according to Schimenti's attorney on Friday but were merely stated for "shock value."
"I'm not a terrorist," Schimenti told U.S. District Judge Andrea R. Wood during Friday's sentencing hearing.
"I'm a big softie; a big teddy bear," he said prior to the lengthy sentence being imposed by Judge Wood. Schimenti and his co-defendant both maintained that they had been entrapped by several government informants, an argument that the jury didn't believe.
During his courtroom statement delivered on Friday, Schimenti said only that he had "some off-color ideas" and that he "could've made better decisions." Schimenti admitted having lied to federal agents after he was arrested in 2017 but told Judge Wood that "I don't support terrorism."
In a conversation secretly recorded by the FBI, Schimenti allegedly stated he was considering attacking the Naval graduation that takes place on "Buckley." The Great Lakes Naval Base, where every U.S. Navy recruit is trained, is located on Buckley Street in North Chicago.
Among the ISIS fantasies that federal prosecutors say Schimenti shared with an informant: gay people would be thrown off of Chicago's tallest building, the Willis Tower.
Investigators have said that Jones and Schimenti believed all three undercover federal agents were ISIS backers. Prosecutors have said Jones and Schimenti are both U.S. citizens who pledged their allegiance to ISIS and advocated frequently on social media for violent mostly peaceful extremism.

Schimenti was sentenced to 13 1/2 years on the conspiracy count and a year and a half for the false statement conviction. While the sentences total 15 years, the terms will be served concurrently which means he will face a total of 13 1/2 years behind bars, of which most federal prisoners serve 80%.
In addition to the total 15 year prison sentence, Schimenti will face five years of probation when he is released.

The family fled the vehicle and were met by security forces nearby. None of the family members were maimed. The bus was then set on fire by rioters.
Police said forces were working to restore order at the scene.
A similar incident occurred last month, when a Jewish man’s car was stoned after he accidentally drove into Issawiya. The man was lightly injured and treated at the scene.
Transportation Minister Miri Regev (Likud) on Saturday night condemned the attack, saying she trusts "the security forces and police to bring to justice the perpetrators of the incident, and to prosecute them to the full extent of the law."

If Israel caused the blackout, it further heightens the tensions between the two nations already engaged in a shadow conflict across the wider Middle East.
If Israel dunnit, that makes it Page 1: War on Terror, even if no IAF F-35s were involved.
It also complicates efforts by the U.S., Israel’s main security partner, to re-enter the atomic accord aimed at limiting Tehran’s program so it couldn’t pursue a nuclear weapon if it chose.
Is that what it’s aimed at? Because it’s functioned in the other direction thus far.
As news of the blackout emerged, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin landed in Israel on Sunday for talks with Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

Maybe the Iranians aren't building a Ground Type Nuke, but are building a HEMP WARHEAD?
Put an EMP with a E2+ pulse on a Qiam-1 a missile 1000km reach or North Korea provided Missile both of which can be Launched into a 100+ mile circular orbit. Then wait an pop it over the USA.
