Kim Foxx Remains Silent as Supporter Calls Chicago Police ‘Blue Klux Klan’
[BREITBART] A supporter of Cook County Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office recently dropped all charges against Empire actor Jussie Smollett, referred to the reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,...
Fraternal Order of Police as the "Blue Klux Klan" in a Saturday afternoon presser ‐ a racial slur the top prosecutor would not refute when asked whether she concurred with the comparison.

Fox News correspondent Matt Finn reported the eye-opening comment was made by

Black Lives Matter activist Jamal Greene ahead of Foxx’s remarks on the Smollett case at Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition office in Chicago. As Kim Foxx made her way out of the presser, Finn pressed the attorney repeatedly about whether she endorsed Greene’s remarks.

"Ms. Foxx, do you think the FOP is the blue klux klan? Do you think that every police officer is racist in this city?" You’re going to let somebody say that?" the news hound asked Foxx, who did not once acknowledge the question.

#4  Rep. Bobby Rush calls Chicago police union the ‘sworn enemy of black people’

#5  Whoops! "African American police chiefs" are no-shows for Kim Foxx rally

"UPDATE: A south suburban mayor states that Foxx met privately with a group of south suburban mayors and black police chiefs in Markham more than two hours before the Rainbow PUSH press conference. There’s no word on why the meeting took place separately or why suburban chiefs did not appear for the media availability as promoted.
-----------------------
Well, that didn’t go so well…or, maybe, it went perfectly.

Chicago media gathered at Rainbow PUSH headquarters in Kenwood on Saturday morning for what was supposed to be a rally for Kim Foxx featuring “south suburban African American police chiefs.”

It was a counter-point to the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police press conference on Thursday in which dozens of suburban police chiefs expressed “no confidence” in Foxx’s management of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office with the Jussie Smollett case being one point of concern.

There was a problem this morning though. Despite promises made to the media, no police chiefs showed up to support Foxx. Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. organized the event but offered no explanation for the African American police chiefs' absences."

Continues.

Britain
Exposé shows UK Labour has failed to punish members for vile anti-Semitic taunts
[IsraelTimes] Report details cases in which little to no action was taken against members who blamed 9/11 on Jews and railed against Jewish MPs; 863 complaints have yielded just 29 expulsions.

The Sunday Times said it had obtained a hard drive containing a confidential database and leaked emails and documents showing that the party ‐ long embroiled in a public scandal over its apparent failure to uproot anti-Jewish bigotry in its ranks ‐ has been dragging its feet in responding to complaints.

Party leader Jeremy Corbyn’s office has intervened in at least 101 complaints, the report said, despite his having earlier assured Jewish MP Margaret Hodge that his team would "never" get involved in them.

In all, of 863 complaints made by March 8, 2019, 454 remain unresolved, including 249 in which the party hasn’t initiated an investigation.

Of the cases in which a decision was reached, 191 members faced no further action, 145 received a formal warning ‐ which the Sunday Times called "a slap on the wrist" ‐ and just 29 were expelled. Others left of their own accord.

Last month, the report said, Thomas Gardiner ‐ an ally of Corbyn who heads Labour’s governance and legal unit ‐ blocked efforts to expedite proceedings against a party member who lashed out at Jewish MPs Margaret Hodge and Ruth Smeeth as "a couple of shit-stirring cum buckets bought and paid for by Israel" and "cretinous pieces of shit" who needed to "fuck off back under their stones."

A Labour official ruled that a council candidate met the threshold for suspension after accusing Jewish politicians of being "Zionist infiltrators," but then decided that the accused would face no suspension and no action because he "is a candidate."

In a response to the report, Jewish MP Margaret Hodge said that "the scale of the abuse, the depth of the hatred and the total lack of action by the Labour Party is astonishing. Jeremy gave me assurances that he does not intervene in complaints. This investigation proves that either he is lying to me or his office are lying to him."

Alleged hate speech against Jews has been recorded within Labour since 2015, when Corbyn, a far-left politician, was elected to lead the party. The Board of Deputies of British Jews has accused Corbyn of encouraging anti-Semitic rhetoric and at times engaging in it, though he disputes the claim.

Former London mayor Red Ken Livingstone has recently called allegations of anti-Semitism in Labour "lies and smears" to bring down Corbyn and claimed that it is "not anti-Semitic to hate the Jews of Israel."

In March, British police tossed in the calaboose
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
three people near London suspected of inciting anti-Semitic hatred in the Labour Party’s ranks. The arrests were rare interventions by law enforcement against suspected propagators of anti-Semitism within the party.

Following growing public scrutiny of the problem, Labour is facing the prospect of an official inquiry by the United Kingdom’s Equality and Human Right’s Commission, the main government anti-racism watchdog.

[IsraelTimes] Anti-Israel activist Simone O’Broin pleads guilty to assault, after being filmed making threats to crew who would not serve her wine.

O’Broin, who worked as a head researcher for the anti-Israel Badil organization as late as 2011, was filmed by fellow passengers telling flight attendants that she is a “leader of the f***ing boycott movement,” clapping in the air in front of a crew member. She added: “If I say boycott f***ing Air India, done. Do you understand me? You can’t give me a wee bottle of wine?”

Earlier in her rant, O’Broin, who co-authored a research paper with former UN Special Rapporteur Richard Falk on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories, said: “Do you treat business class passengers like that? Who are international criminal lawyers for the Palestinian people?”
To be honest, nowadays there are so many reports of Jew hated in word or deed in Europe, Britain, and North America that I mostly throw up my hands and ignore them except for the most egregious cases... and of course actual jihadi attacks.

German NGO seeks help for Mediterranean migrant rescue ship
[DW] The Sea-Eye, a Germany-based rescue organization, said the migrants colonists aboard the Alan Kurdi vessel have had to endure "unsustainable humanitarian conditions." Italia and Malta have forbidden the ship to dock in their ports.

German migrant NGO Sea-Eye on Sunday called for an urgent solution for its ship stranded on the Mediterranean Sea. The Sea-Eye's Alan Kurdi vessel is carrying migrants colonists picked up near the Libyan coast. Several EU member states have refused to allow the ship to dock in their waters.

Carlotta Weibl, a spokeswoman for the NGO, said the people aboard the vessel have had to face "unsustainable humanitarian conditions."

"They partly have to sleep outside on deck and are exposed to wind, waves and cold," Weibl said in Rome. "A storm is approaching, which will put the people on board in great danger," she added.

The ship picked up six migrants colonists off Libya on Wednesday. After Italian authorities refused to take all the migrants colonists, it sailed towards Malta, where it is hoping to enter a safe port.

A front man for the Maltese government said authorities were monitoring the situation.

Malta and Italia have taken in most of the sea migrants colonists in the past few years, but now they have effectively stopped humanitarian aid ships with migrants colonists aboard from docking in their ports. These countries criticize the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
for not distributing the "refugee burden" equally among member states.

"The supplies are quickly used up. We cannot sustain this situation for many days and will quickly need drinking water and food," said Sea-Eye front man Gorden Isler about Alan Kurdi on Saturday.

Iraq
Iran, Iraq agree on development of joint oilfields
[Rudaw] Iran and Iraq have taken a step towards joint development of oil fields on their shared border as the neighbours continue to strengthen their ties in the face of aggressive efforts from the United States to isolate Iran.

Iraq’s Oil Minister Thamer al-Ghadhban is in Iran as part of a high-level two day trip led by Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi. On Sunday, Ghadhban had a meeting with Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh and they reached an understanding regarding joint development of the Naft Shahr and Khorramshahr oil fields, according to Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum.

"Iran is ready to offer [its] capabilities to the Iraqi oil industry," Zangeneh said, according to a statement from his ministry, noting there are "massive potentialities" to expand their cooperation in oil, gas, and refining.

Naft Shahr is located on the border between Iran’s Kermanshah province and Iraq’s Diyala, some 570 kilometres west of Tehran. Khorramshahr is located on Iran’s southern border with Basra province.

Iraq, emerging from years of conflict, is looking to rebuild its oil sector and infrastructure, something Iran can offer assistance with, said Zangeneh.

"Given the lack of development in the petrochemicals and gas industries in Iraq, there is a bright perspective for cooperation between the two countries," he said.

During a visit to Iran’s Energy Industries Engineering and Design (EIED), the engineering branch of the Oil Industries' Engineering and Construction (OIEC) company, the two ministers decided OIEC will partner with an Iraqi company, the Iranian statement said.

Iraq’s energy sector is closely tied to Iran. Baghdad depends on electricity and natural gas imports from its neighbour to power its national grid. Iraqi officials have said it will be impossible to sever ties with Iran in order to comply with US sanctions. Iraq was granted a waiver by the US to continue its Iranian imports. That exemption was extended in mid-March for a second time, granting Iraq another three months before it has to comply with US sanctions on Iran’s oil sector.

The Iranian statement did not go into details of the understanding reached on Sunday, including the extent of their cooperation, funding, or a timeline. Iraq’s Oil Ministry has not immediately issued a statement.

Palestinian security prisoners reportedly call off hunger strike
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian security prisoners have reportedly called off a hunger strike that began this morning.

Citing an unnamed Paleostinian source, the Kann public broadcaster reports the hunger strike will be put off by more than week, though the exact timing depends on the progress of negotiations with the Israel Prisons Service.

Other reports say the decision to delay the strike came after progress in negotiations, but do not provide any specifics.

The planned hunger strike was called to protest the prisoners’ incarceration conditions, namely the installation of cellphone jamming technology in some prisons that has made it impossible to use smuggled cellphones in the wards.

Government
Homeland Security Disbands Domestic Terror Intelligence Unit
Watch the Deep State try a new attack on the Trump administration:
[DailyBeast] The Department of Homeland Security has disbanded a group of intelligence analysts who focused on domestic terrorism, The Daily Beast has learned. Numerous current and former DHS officials say they find the development concerning, as the threat of homegrown terrorism—including white supremacist terrorism—is growing.

In the wake of this move, officials said the number of analytic reports produced by DHS about domestic terrorism, including the threat from white supremacists, has dropped significantly. People in and close to the department said this has generated significant concern at headquarters.

“It’s especially problematic given the growth in right-wing extremism and domestic terrorism we are seeing in the U.S. and abroad,” one former intelligence official told The Daily Beast.

The group in question was a branch of analysts in DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A). They focused on the threat from homegrown violent extremists and domestic terrorists. The analysts there shared information with state and local law enforcement to help them protect their communities from these threats.

Then the Trump administration’s new I&A chief, David Glawe, began reorganizing the office, which is the DHS component that has a place in the Intelligence Community. Over the course of the reorganization, the branch of I&A focused on domestic terrorism got eighty-sixed and its analysts were reassigned to new positions. The change happened last year, and has not been previously reported.
Buried lede:
“The same people are working on the issues,” a senior DHS official said. “We just restructured things to be more responsive to the I&A customers within DHS and in local communities while reducing overlap with what the FBI does. We actually believe we are far more effective now.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen Resigns after President Trump blamed her for the surge in illegal immigrants coming across and spent months threatening to fire her
[MAIL] Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen submitted her resignation to President Donald Trump on Sunday evening after months of threats from the president to fire her amid his growing frustration over border security.

'Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen will be leaving her position, and I would like to thank her for her service,' Trump tweeted on Sunday evening.

He announced U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan will be acting secretary.

'I am pleased to announce that Kevin McAleenan, the current U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, will become Acting Secretary for @DHSGov. I have confidence that Kevin will do a great job!,' he wrote.

Hours after announcing Nielsen's resignation, President Trump on Sunday took credit for the large number of arrests at the border while threatening to close the frontier with Mexico if Democrats in Congress do not agree to reform the immigration system.

Incoming acting secretary of Homeland Security 'not an ideologue or fire breather'
[CNN] President Donald Trump's choice to fill the role of Kirstjen Nielsen as secretary of Homeland Security is a career official who served in the Obama administration and whom a senior DHS official says is "not an ideologue or fire breather" on immigration.

Kevin McAleenan, who is expected to take over DHS in an acting capacity, was serving as the commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection before Sunday's announcement. He was confirmed as commissioner by the Senate in March 2018 by a vote of 77-19.

He is expected to serve as the acting secretary "in the short term," according to a White House official. Nielsen should be staying for a week of transition, another White House official said.

Nielsen tweeted Sunday night that she "agreed to stay on as Secretary through Wednesday, April 10th to assist with an orderly transition and ensure that key DHS missions are not impacted."

Removing Nielsen and installing McAleenan as acting secretary presents issues for the line of succession. Putting McAleenan in charge skips over acting Deputy Secretary Claire Grady, who also serves in the Senate confirmed role as the Undersecretary of Management, which raises questions about her future. A senior administration official told CNN that legally Grady is next in line and will have to go in order for McAleenan to assume the role of acting secretary. Another official, asked about this question, told CNN there are issues that need to be addressed before McAleenan can take over.

The senior DHS official told CNN McAleenan is "not an ideologue or fire breather" on immigration like White House senior adviser Stephen Miller or Trump. This official wondered how McAleenan will fit in as Miller has placed several political appointees in the department who follow the immigration hardliner's marching orders.
