Ohio Official Who Claimed 100,000 Covid-19 Cases in the State Says She Was 'Guesstimating'
[PJMEDIA] The director of Ohio's Department of Health, Amy Acton, shocked a lot of people on Thursday when she said in a presser that she believed 100,000 Ohioans had already contracted Covid-19.

The Hill:

"We know now, just the fact of community spread, says that at least 1 percent, at the very least, 1 percent of our population is carrying this virus in Ohio today," Acton said. "We have 11.7 million people. So the math is over 100,000. So that just gives you a sense of how this virus spreads and is spreading quickly."

The Columbus Dispatch offered effusive praise of Acton for being a "voice of knowledge."

Amid the increasing fear and confusion of the coronavirus
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic, a voice of knowledge reassures Ohioans every day.

At daily live-streamed press briefings, Dr. Amy Acton follows Gov. Mike DeWine’s announcement of orders and restrictions with calm explanations of outbreaks and community spread.

Speaking candidly but calmly, the director of the Ohio Department of Health translates complex medical theory to plain English, then immediately lets her humanity shine through.

"We all, myself included, need to learn to live through something we’ve never dealt with before," she said at Thursday’s briefing.

What an incredible human being, to let her humanity "shine through" like that. Brings a tear to my eye, it does.

But Director Acton forgot to mention a small detail about her Apocalypse Now statement; it wasn't true.

The Hill:

The director of Ohio's Department of Health said Friday her statement the previous day that 100,000 people in the state currently have coronavirus was based on "guesstimating," casting doubt on the high number.

"I am not saying there are absolutely for certain 100,000 people, I'm saying I'm guesstimating," the director, Dr. Amy Acton, said at a news conference.

#7  Thanks, Beau. That's good news.

When we look back on this we will see that this crisis was almost entirely due to

1) China's lies and brutally incompetent state efforts to kill the messenger in the early days of the crisis;

2) the PC refusal of non-Western states (US under Trump admin excepted) to shut down travel from China and infected regions as the contagion began to gather steam globally;

3) the combination of medical incompetence, an aging population and high lung/respiratory vulnerability in Iran and Italy.

It will be seen that these three factors - none of them in any way specific to this virus and all of them reflective of social or political failures - caused unnecessary death and panic.

And that it was the Trump administration, along with South Korea, that showed the greatest skill, competence, and compassionate effectiveness in minimizing the damage done by what was never worse than a case of the winter flu.

"Pandemic" - pshaw. "Dem Panic" is more apt.

Britain
Ex-PM Gordon Brown ‘Let RAPE GANGS Roam Free In Return For Saudi OIL MONEY'
[VoiceOfEurope] FORMER Labour boss Gordon Brown allegedly let Muslim rape gangs roam free in Britain in an alleged deal with the Saudis, Politicalite can exclusively reveal.

A City of London finance source exclusively claimed to Politicalite that during Gordon Brown’s short tenure as Prime Minister he borrowed money from the Saudi’s – but the deal had BIG strings attached.

He urged the dollar-rich Gulf states to prop up ailing national economies through a massive injection of capital into the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and also asked for cash for Britain.

In return, he allegedly had to let Muslims “do anything they like.”

A source connected finance in The City told Politicalite that “In return for the money, the condition they insisted on, was that Muslims in Britain must be free to do anything they like.”

“In the light of his subsequent repression of reporting on rape gangs, this information might provide the explanation.”

Politicalite reported in 2018 that ex-North West Chief prosecutor alleged that the Home Office ordered police to ignore grooming gang claims in 2008 – though Home Secretary Jacqui Smith had nothing to do with the order.

Nazir Afzal who reversed a Crown Prosecution Service decision and successfully prosecuted the notorious Rochdale rape gang told the BBC in 2018 that in 2008 the Home Office sent a circular email to all police forces calling on them to not investigate the sexual exploitation of young girls in towns and cities across the UK.

Bernie Bros warn of ‘massive exodus’ if they can't have their way
[NYPOST] As the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders

Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
continues to crash and burn, the socialist’s most hard-core supporters are vowing they will never vote for Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
at the ballot box ‐ even if that means handing Trump a second term.

"We will never ‐ NEVER boost or support Joe Biden or defend his abysmal record and terrible policy positions," Henry Williams, executive director of The Gravel Institute, told The Post. "We will tell people, as we always have, to vote their conscience and to make decisions based on the interests of all the world’s oppressed people ... I do expect a massive exodus from the Democratic Party."

Williams, along with David Oks and Henry Magowan, are the driving forces behind the brief presidential campaign of Mike Gravel, an 89-year-old former Alaska senator who left the race in August. The trio then became enthusiastic Bernie Bros.

"I don’t know if I could vote for Biden," said a high-profile local Democratic Socialist. "Biden is just an old white guy who inspires nobody. I sincerely think he will lose the electoral and popular vote and I know I won’t be voting for him in New York."

The grumbling from Sanders die-hards is no idle threat. A whopping 12% of them voted for Trump in 2016, according to an analysis by Cooperative Congressional Election Study. That added up to roughly 216,000 voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, exit polls showed. Trump’s combined margin of victory in those states was 77,744.

Bernie Sanders claims victory, 4 delegates in Northern Marianas caucus
[NYPOST] It may not herald a comeback, but he’ll take it.

The Vermont senator snagged four delegates to front-runner Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Failed seeker of the Democratic presidential nomination on multiple occasions, vice president under Barack Obama, giving it a last try in his dotage for 2020...
’s two.

But turnout was tiny ‐ only 134 of the archipelago’s 53,000 residents came out to vote.

It was Sanders’s best delegate day since Feb. 22, when he notched a commanding win in Nevada’s caucuses.

Biden has dominated in the almost all of the contests held since ‐ and is expected to prevail in the four primaries scheduled for Tuesday in Florida, Ohio, Illinois and Arizona.

Schumer said:

I’m pleased the president heeded our calls to invoke the Stafford Act to extend vital financial assistance to help keep communities safe from the coronavirus outbreak. I urge New York and other states to immediately request these newly available funds and for the Trump administration to approve these requests without delay.

Schumer also warned the president not to "overstep his authority" in dealing with the spread of the coronavirus.

"As other steps are considered, the president must not overstep his authority or indulge his autocratic tendencies for purposes not truly related to this public health crisis," Schumer added.

Joe Biden ‘Virtual Town Hall’ Marred by Tech Issues, Dick Durbin’s Wailing Baby
[BREITBART] The man who wants to save America from coronavirus

Due to the restrictions on crowds because of coronavirus, Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden

Then it was moved to 6:00 p.m. Central.

When Breitbart News tuned in, Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth was fiddling with her camera phone, at one moment setting it on the table pointed straight up at the ceiling so America could see her light fixture.

A short time later, the text "Senator Dick Durbin
...Senator-for-Life from Illinois and Democratic Party Whip. In April 2006, Time magazine identified Durbin as one of America's 10 Best Senators, so what's that tell you? He was the first United States Senator to support the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama, then the junior senator from Illinois...
" appeared on the otherwise black screen, accompanied by the wails of a baby in the background.

At 6:19, a moderator announced Durbin, who wasn’t visible. He introduced Biden, who appeared before American and Illinois flags.

Biden began speaking, but there was no audio. Then suddenly, Durbin appeared in a separate screen holding a small child.

Biden seemed to be reading from a teleprompter, but the broadcast suffered from severe tech issues, as Biden’s words were caught in a feedback loop, muddying the whole presentation and making the candidate nearly indecipherable.
as usual
Biden tossed it to former Obama Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, who offered hygiene recommendations.

It then went back to Biden, who took questions. But when the campaign sorted out Biden’s audio issues, he never appeared on screen again.

The first person called on to ask a question said, "Mr. Biden’s speech was garbled the entire time." The moderator promptly moved onto another person.
No, it was accurate. Joe's naturally garbled
One asked how Biden would "satisfy" Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
supporters, and he said they are aligned on many issues, so it would not be difficult. Another asked how Biden’s health care plan would solve "the current health crisis." The final woman asked if Biden supported the Endangered Species Act.

He confirmed he did.

#1  I don't think these were tech issues. Everytime Biden speaks he messes up so I think they were trying something different.
