Mississippi Notary Arrested, Charged With Voter Fraud In Connection With Aberdeen Alderman Election
ABERDEEN, MISS. (WCBI) — A judge is ordering a new runoff election for the Ward 1 alderman seat in Aberdeen.

https://youtu.be/D4e2REjW-K4

In the sixty-four-page order, Judge Jeff Weill not only calls for a new election but also finds evidence of fraud and criminal activity, in how absentee ballots were handled, how votes were counted, and the actions by some at the polling place.

In his ruling, the judge said that sixty-six of eighty-four absentee ballots cast in the June runoff were not valid and should never have been counted. Nicholas Holliday was declared the winner by a 37 vote margin. Robert Devaull challenged the results in court.

Judge Weill found many irregularities with absentee ballots. He issued a bench warrant for notary Dallas Jones, who notarized absentee ballots. During a hearing, Jones admitted violating notary duties.

"When you have an absentee ballot, there’s an envelope, you vote, fold the ballot, put it in an envelope, lick the flap, sign across the flap, then notary signs your election certificate, she testified that she didn’t sign in front of anybody, didn’t see anybody sign it, she just notarized it, just stamped them," said Lydia Quarles, attorney for Robert Devaull.

In fact, Jones testified that she was called to the home of then Alderwoman Lady Garth in June to correct her father’s absentee ballot paperwork. While there, Jones testified she notarized "about 30 something ballots."

The judge also found that 83 regular ballots were counted without being initialed by election workers.

Judge Weill also said there was clear evidence of voter intimidation and harassment at the polling place on election day. State law says candidates and supporters must stay at least 150 feet away from the polling place. In his ruling, the judge said Holliday, along with Police Chief Henry Randle, and former Mayor Maurice Howard acted as if they were above the law, repeatedly violating criminal statutes.

Devaull is hopeful the judge’s order for a new election will mean a fair contest for the Ward 1 seat.

#1  I'm guessing the judge didn't get the memo that was apparently sent to every other member of the judiciary....
I'm sure an appeal will result in the verdict being overturned.... probably for lack of standing.

Ethics concerns led to criminal referral involving Chao, inspector general says
Better be concrete when you go after the Murder Turtle
[San Diego UT] Investigators from the Transportation Department’s internal watchdog found evidence of potential ethical violations by former secretary Elaine Chao and referred the case to the Justice Department for prosecution in December, according to documents released Wednesday.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section declined to pursue the case, according to investigators from Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General.

There were a number of "potential ethics concerns arising from the actions of the Secretary and Office of the Secretary (OST) staff under her direction," investigators wrote.

Among them were "tasking" political appointees to "contact the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) about the status of a work permit application submitted by a foreign student studying at a U.S. university who was a recipient of Chao family philanthropy," according to investigators.

"The [U.S. attorney’s office] stated that there may be ethical and/or administrative issues to address but there is not predication to open a criminal investigation," investigators from the inspector general’s office said.

The department also provided public affairs and media support to Chao’s father, investigators said. He was the founder of the Foremost Group, a shipping company led by her sister.

Investigators said Chao also used the staff time of department employees "for tasks for the Secretary that appear to be personal in nature."

Among the personal tasks, according to a description from investigators, was Chao emailing a staffer in her office with the subject line: "Xmas ornaments." The email directed the staff member to "sort out and fedex on Monday to Dr. Chao, and my sisters. Please draft a cover note -let me see it-telling them what we are sending."

Veep* Harris remains silent on Cuomo allegations
[Washington Examiner] Vice President Kamala Harris has so far remained silent about the sexual harassment allegations surrounding New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, even as members of her party have begun to distance themselves from the Democratic governor.

Harris was a vocal opponent of confirming Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the nation’s highest court when he faced allegations of his own, even saying she would support impeaching the justice after he was confirmed to the bench.

Harris also expressed she believed the women who accused President Biden of inappropriate physical contact in the past.
How quickly she forgot.

Michael Moore says Texans don't deserve vaccine
How fortunate that Mr. Moore has neither power nor influence.
[NYPOST] Director Michael Moore slammed Texas for its decision to reopen the state and remove its mask mandate in a series of tweets Wednesday, writing that the Lone Star State no longer needs "our precious vaccine.""Texas — we hear you. You didn’t want to be part of our electrical grid. And now you’ve removed your mask mandate & are allowing large crowds to gather. We hear you! COVID is a hoax! So u don’t need our precious vaccine. We’ll send it to ppl who are saving lives by wearing masks," Moore wrote in a tweet that was quickly "ratioed" by a slew of responses calling the remarks insensitive.

"Yes, we must and will find a way to vaccinate the poor and people of color in Texas. To Texans who say, hey, it’s not me — it’s the Governor! Well, then, impeach and remove him. We’re tired of this. Don’t mess with Texas? Happy to oblige."

The tweets come after Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
announced late Tuesday it was "time to reopen Texas 100 percent" and do away with a statewide mask mandate.

Documents show strained capacity at US border facilities: CNN
[THEHILL] Unaccompanied minors at the U.S. border with Mexico are detained an average of over three days, straining hospital capacity, according to government documents viewed by CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
Customs and Border Protection documents indicate that in the last 21 days, the U.S. Border Patrol arrested some 340 unaccompanied minors, who spent an average of 77 hours in Border Patrol facilities. U.S. law requires unaccompanied minors to be released within 72 hours.

In one Yuma, Ariz., facility, for example, the documents showed 600 children and adults were detained in an area intended for 104 people, while a Rio Grande facility kept more than 2,000 detainees in a space intended for 715 at one point.

The number of unaccompanied children in jug has increased under the Biden administration as it has stopped applying a Trump-era policy that turned migrants colonists back under a public health order.

National Guard troops defending Capitol reportedly sick after eating raw meat
[New York Post] National Guard soldiers defending the US Capitol have gotten ill after being fed meat that is almost completely raw — with shaved metal also found in the disgusting meals, according to whistleblowers.

An anonymous staff sergeant with the Michigan National Guard told WXYZ that the force has repeatedly complained after more than a dozen troops were sickened by undercooked meat.

"Yesterday, for instance, there were 74 different meals found with raw beef in them," the sergeant told the station Monday, sharing images of meat that looked completely raw in the middle.

"Just yesterday ... soldiers had found metal shavings in their food," he said.

Undercooked meals that are "good from the start" were then made "even more dangerous" by a delay of up to four hours before they were served, he said.

Recording Trump was discussed, Rod Rosenstein concedes
[Washington Examiner] Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is finally opening up about his discussion with a top FBI official concerning the investigation into former President Donald Trump's potential ties to Russia.

In his first TV interview since leaving the Trump administration in May 2019, Rosenstein told FOX 5 that there was talk of recording the 45th president for the inquiry but denied that he ever intended to wear a "wire" during the turbulent days that followed Trump firing FBI Director James Comey in 2017 before the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel.
“Nuh uh. Wudn’t me. Musta been some other guy with the initials RR.”
"I had a conversation with Andrew McCabe about an investigation that he was conducting involving the president. And there was a discussion about whether or not the president would be recorded in the course of that investigation. I never intended to wear a wire, and I think that if Mr. McCabe asked me to wear a wire, we would’ve had to reconsider the whole thing. Because you can’t run an investigation and serve as a witness," Rosenstein said in an episode of the Siege on Democracy podcast published last month.

McCabe, Comey's deputy who became acting FBI director for a couple months after the firing, made headlines in February 2019, when he corroborated reporting that claimed Rosenstein offered to wear a recording device while talking to other officials to tape Trump secretly.

Who the hell is Lt. Gen. Russel Honore?
[Breitbart] Gaetz: Pelosi Capitol Hill Security Pick Russel Honore ’Needs to Be Removed’

During Tuesday’s broadcast of FNC’s "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) decried remarks made by retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honore, who is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) pick to lead a review of Capitol Hill security.

Gaetz said those remarks disqualified Honore, and he needed to be removed.

"General Honore has issued a number of the delusional rants that would disqualify him from even a jury pool on these questions, and yet he’s in charge of this review, and our fellow Americans are going to hear about reviews and commissions regarding January 6, and I’m here to tell you, they’re only really about two things: one, hunting and destroying MAGA; and two, justifying the continued occupation of Washington, D.C.," he said. "Now, Russel Honore has sent a very specific message that your politics, if they aren’t woke enough, if they don’t agree with his, then you ought to have negative consequences in other aspects of your life that have nothing to do with politics."

"That’s why he has called for Congresswoman Lauren Boebert to be put on a no-fly list so she can’t use commercial aircraft," Gaetz continued. "It’s why he has called for Donald Trump, Jr. to be arrested, Senator Josh Hawley to be disbarred, and it should come as no surprise that the initial recommendations that we’re expecting from General Honore will include permanence to the military occupation, a permanent Strike Force, potentially additional permanent fencing. So I think that this is someone who needs to be removed. He should have no role in the Security Review. He has already cast judgment and has no contribution to make to this discussion."

Alabama to Join Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Others in Eliminating Mask Mandates this Week
[BREITBART] Alabama will become one of the next states to eliminate a government-imposed mandate that requires people wear masks in public, sources close to the matter told Breitbart News.

A source familiar with state deliberations confirmed that as soon as Friday but definitely in the coming days. Alabama will join several other states nationwide in removing its mandate requiring masks in response to the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic.

GOP Gov. Kay Ivey’s office has not yet confirmed what sources familiar with the state’s planning and deliberations are, but a spokeswoman for Ivey told Breitbart News she was never a fan of mandates to begin with—a sign of the coming move.

"All along, Governor Ivey has made clear that she prefers personal responsibility to government mandates. We are optimistic that our state is heading in the right direction, and we still have some work to be done. Governor Ivey will provide an update to the people of Alabama soon," an Ivey spokeswoman said.

Just had dinner with my son in Brookhaven, Ossoff and Warnock country, but the OTP thoughts of opening up are occurring here in the ITP. Packed restaurant, pasta made today and a woodbrick pizza oven

my kid heads down from Kennesaw State, Sunday for Gulf Shores Spring Break 2021

Herd Immunity is coming and should’ve been here long ago.

#11  The pols are conformist cowards, all of em except DeSantis, Noem, Abbott and maybe a few others. No one else in this country staked out an intelligent, courageous position and stuck with it. They all seek to cover their asses first, lead from behind next. And then see how the wind blows and if it's at all favorable, take credit and if not, assign blame.

A shameless Andrew Cuomo's ridiculous second non-apology
[NYPOST] The real victim here? Andrew Sonny Cuomo’s pride.

He dramatically fought back tears. He’s learned his lesson. He was "embarrassed — and that’s hard for me to say."

Cry us a river!

Gov. Cuomo’s second chance at a mea culpa fell as flat as his first, "I was just joking" defense. He again turned to the "If they were offended by it, I apologize" statement, which basically blames victims for their discomfort.

He repeated, twice, that "I never touched anyone inappropriately" even though there’s a photo of him grabbing a woman by the face, about to give her a kiss. Oh, I do that to everyone! Cuomo said, men, women, kids. Then he even threw Mario Cuomo under the bus, saying "my dad did the same thing."

Resign? No, no. I serve the people of New York. Well, only 38 percent of them approve of Cuomo now, compared to 71 percent last year.

Is he too distracted to work on the budget? No! If he could do a budget under COVID, he can do a budget now, ignoring the fact that the former was handling the business of management, the latter is his own personal behavior.

#1  On Monday Cuomo looked like he'd never survive and would resign. I now realize this guy is such a self-centered stone cold psychopath he will never leave on his own volition.

#3  Well, the longer they bang this gong the less likely everyone will realize these politicians -and the media for that matter- will kill them for political purposes.

Majority of Americans disapprove of Biden's immigration executive order: poll
[NYPOST] A majority of Americans disapprove of President Biden’s executive orders on immigration and transgender athletes participating in women’s sports — his least popular actions since taking office, according to a new poll. The poll conducted in late February by Harvard University and Harris Insights and Analytics found 55 percent disapprove of Biden’s executive order to "[r]equire schools to let biological boys who identify as girls to participate in girls sports, and vice versa."

It was tied for least popular of choices offered in the poll order when responses were weighted to reflect national US demographics.

Also lagging, with 55 percent disapproval, was Biden’s decision to "[r]educe the deportation of those here illegally who have committed crimes such as DUIs that are not national security related."

Biden’s decision to kill the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada, criticized for eliminating thousands of jobs, had 53 percent disapproval.

There was 50 percent disapproval for Biden’s repeal of a travel ban that the Trump administration said targeted countries that are failed or fragile states or beset by terrorism, including Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
Forty-seven percent disapproved of Biden ending construction of Trump’s Mexico border wall.

The poll identified other soft spots for Democrats, who now control both chambers of Congress and the White House, and underscore the potential political wisdom of Republicans focusing on so-called "cancel culture."

“I’ll lead an effective strategy to mobilize trunalimunumaprzure,” he said.

Republicans refocus on state 'bailouts' in Biden stimulus bill after 'Pelosi subway' cut
[NYPOST] Senate Republicans on Wednesday blasted $350 billion in state and local aid in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 bill — singling out those funds as "wasteful" after a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, rail project was cut from the bill amid withering GOP criticism.

The Republican focus on state and local aid comes ahead of a protracted struggle over amendments to the bill, which is expected to pass the Senate this week with few if any Republican votes.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said he wants additional cuts to the package after the demise of the $140 million rail project near House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi

’s district. His Republican colleagues held a presser to hammer the state and local funds, though the package can pass with only Democratic votes.

"According to public reports, right now as we speak several of our fellow wardheelers are frantically trying to trim back other crazy provisions," McConnell said on the Senate floor.

But President Biden insisted in a Wednesday evening weblink with Pelosi (D-Calif.) that "this is a case where every single piece of the bill you passed addresses a genuine desperate need for the American people. Each piece isn’t just defensible, it is urgent."

Gov. Cuomo Signed Bill Lowering Bar to Prove Sexual Harassment
[Newsmax] New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill two years ago that substantially lowered the bar for proving sexual harassment claims, making it easier now for his accusers to meet the required standards, The Washington Free Beacon reported on Wednesday.

The bill Cuomo signed into law states that harassment does not need to be "severe or pervasive" to be unlawful, specifying that any action that rises above "petty slights and trivial inconveniences" can qualify.

The governor's alleged misconduct appears to exceed this standard.
