[The Federalist] A previously unnoticed passage in Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on federal surveillance abuse suggests Bruce Ohr and his compatriots were willing to bargain with a Russian oligarch to take down Donald Trump.
Two-hundred-plus pages into the IG report, while discussing former Associate Deputy Attorney General Ohr’s continued contacts with Crossfire Hurricane dossier author Christopher Steele, Horowitz revealed a significant detail that to date has been overlooked: "On December 7, 2016, Ohr conveyed an interagency meeting (including representatives from the FBI) regarding strategy in dealing with Russian Oligarch 1."
The IG report added that after the meeting "one of Ohr’s junior Department colleagues who attended the meeting" asked "Ohr about why the U.S. government would support trying to work with Russian Oligarch 1"‐the moniker used in the IG report to refer to one of Vladimir Putin’s closest confidants, the aluminum oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
Ohr’s reported response is shocking: "Ohr told her that Steele provided information that the Trump campaign had been corrupted by the Russians," and that the corruption went all the way to president-elect Trump. Ohr’s junior colleague told the IG that Ohr explained "this information was ’the basis for the [Deripaska] discussion" in the interagency meeting they had just left.
[Washington Examiner] Attorney General William Barr revealed that he and FBI Director Christopher Wray agreed that, in the future, agents must get approval from the heads of the DOJ and the bureau before launching investigations into presidential candidates.
Barr announced the significant investigative reform during a Monday press conference about Saudi national Mohammed Alshamrani’s terrorist attack at a Pensacola air base that killed three U.S. service members in December. Barr’s comments during a question-and-answer session come in the wake of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the Trump-Russia investigation that found serious investigative missteps by investigators and abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
"We’re considering a number of additional things, and Chris Wray and I have discussed a number of possibilities," Barr told reporters. "One of the things that we have agreed on is that the opening of a counterintelligence investigation of a presidential campaign would be something that the director of the FBI would have to sign off on and the attorney general would have to sign off on."
Before now, no such green light from agency leaders was needed.

Are they attempting to imply that Comey, Lynch, and Soetoro were unawares ?

Suggesting that FBI and AG may have known but did not explicitly authorize?
Not the Bee, I swear.
Mitch McConnell felt bad for Nancy Pelosi after watching her get forced to impeach the president by the radical wing of her party, then impeach him and sit on the articles of impeachment for weeks. So, he decided to cheer her up a bit. OK. I lied.
[Red State] Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and many on the left are indignant over President Trump’s retweet of an edited photograph of him and House Speaker Pelosi dressed in Muslim garb standing before an Iranian flag. The caption reads, "The corrupted Dems trying their best to come to the Ayatollah’s rescue." One of the responses says, "Ayatollah Schumeini is furious (with laughing emojis)."
Former Obama administration officials and, of course, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), immediately pounced.
Dana Shell Smith, a former ambassador to Qatar during the Obama administration, tweeted, "The President of the United States is engaging in hate speech against an entire religion. And because he is President, it is in our name. It is on all of us ‐ especially our elected officials- to demand that it stop."
Another former Obama administration official tweeted, "The picture highlights a deeply disturbing truth, which is that this President thinks that a good way to insult someone is by painting them as Muslim or as sympathetic to a Muslim country."

So it's an "insult to Islam" to associate it with Pelosi and Schumer?

Impeaching without cause doesn't meet 'indignant' level of behavior? You dished it out (and with this one), you'd better be prepared to take it 'in spades' right back.

Pelousey's latest Shitshow hasn't been going well.
If your enemy knocks you down, and then pisses on you while you're writhing on the ground, don't start crying. At least have the guts and good sense not to compound your own ridiculousness.

Frank, I recall that picture from Nancy's trip to Syria where she heaped praise upon Bashar al Assad.

But later, when Obama was the president, she had no problem with Obama and McCain sponsoring a civil war in Syria to oust Assad. I guess Nancy's foreign policy all depends on whether the president is a Democrat or a Republican.

It is the story of their lifetimes, and the journalists are blowing it -- bigly.
A billionaire playboy comes down from his three-story penthouse apartment overlooking Manhattan to enter the presidential race. He is a world figure, best-selling author, TV star, and ladies man. He offers himself as a tonic to the national morass, and an alternative to selecting another President Bush or Clinton.
That is a fantastic story. America replaced an affirmative action hire with a competent businessman. While our real-life Batman may have been born a millionaire, he worked to expand his fortune 1,000-fold -- just like the Bruce Wayne of fiction.
...Among the ever-shrinking minority of Americans who believe what they see on TV, President Donald John Trump is an impulsive, juvenile puppet of Vlad Putin who is "in bed by 6.30 pm, watching his three televisions, eating a cheeseburger and making telephone calls to friends and confidants."
How did we get such a president? The TV believers say this was the work of those deplorable white people without a college degree who elected him.
But if he is so unqualified, how could we have the best economy in 50 years? The TV believers credit Obama. They never quite explain why Obama did not achieve this while he was president.
However, reality is stranger than the talking point fiction. Obama turned the FBI into a KGB that spied on Donald Trump and his campaign. This was Watergate on steroids -- and likely modus operandi for Obama.
...Despite Obama throwing the intelligence community at Donald Trump, Batman beat the Joker, aka Hillary. And he did so despite her spending twice as much money. His was a small band of rebels who took on the establishment.
Tearing down empires is the story of President Trump. He vanquished and converted the Republican Party to suit his purposes. He is doing the same against the Democrat Party, and he also is taking on the media.

However, reality is stranger than the talking point fiction. Obama turned the FBI into a KGB that spied on Donald Trump and his campaign. This was Watergate on steroids -- and likely modus operandi for Obama.
And the left/Dems tries to impeach him {Trump] in a huge cover-up of their corruption/criminality.
[tabletmag] In the wake of the targeted killing of Iranian terror master Qassem Soleimani, an interesting fight has broken out—after Donald Trump failed to brief them in advance of the strike, Democrats began fulsomely criticizing the president. This led Republican lawmakers to accuse their counterparts across the aisle of pro-terrorist sympathies. Maybe Republicans are still sore that Barack Obama compared them to Iranian hardliners like Soleimani for denouncing his signature foreign policy initiative, the Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Or maybe it’s something else.
Because the fact is that the Democrats are not pro-terrorist. They’re simply intent on protecting the historic agreement that legalized the nuclear weapons program of a terror state.
Democratic leadership is angry it wasn’t briefed before the operation, as were some Republican lawmakers critical of the scant information in the White House intelligence briefing on the attack. But there is reason to believe senior Democrats would have leaked it to the press, as they’ve done repeatedly over the last three years to prosecute their anti-Trump campaign. In particular, House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff and his staff have used CNN as a platform to push the discredited Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Why would Democrats endanger U.S. national security by leaking highly classified plans of a major operation against a terror leader? Because Soleimani was the centerpiece of the nuclear deal.

I have noticed leaks have dried up. Much less feeding to the media. Obama squashed social media for government workers. His people wanted to control all the leaks.
[Babylon Bee] TEHRAN‐As Iranians protested their government's downing of a passenger jet, a frantic CNN reporter ran through the crowd lecturing them on how they were actually supposed to be shouting "Death to America!"
The CNN reporter arrived at the protests, excited to cover another anti-US protest but quickly realized they were actually shouting "Death to the dictator!" and blaming their government for shooting down the plane.
"Guys, you're ruining the narrative!" he cried through a megaphone. "We can't run with this! You're willing to assign blame to Iran more readily than the media and the Democrats were! This isn't good for our viewership! Are you guys in league with Fox News?"
"Please guys, please shout 'death to America,' just for a few minutes so I can get some B-roll!"
His efforts weren't having any effect, so the reporter began trying to start up the chants himself. "Come on, people! Death to America! Death to America! When I say 'Death to,' you say, 'America!' Death to!" A shoe was thrown in his direction, though, and he scattered, fearing for his life.
