-Lurid Crime Tales-
Gunman who shot 2 NYPD cops revealed to be migrant who recently crossed into US via Eagle Pass
[NY Post] Two cops were shot in Queens early Monday, allegedly by a 19-year-old Venezuelan migrant they tried to stop on a motorized scooter, police and sources said.

The officers had tried to pull over the teen, identified as Bernardo Castro Mata, after allegedly spotting him driving the wrong way down a street at 89th St. and 23rd Ave. in Elmhurst at about 1:40 am, police said.

The suspect quickly ditched the moped and fled on foot for several blocks, according to cops.

During the pursuit, the teen allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds at the officers.

One of the officers took a bullet to the leg while the other was struck in the front of his bulletproof vest.

At least one of the returned officers fired and struck the alleged perp in the ankle.

The teen, who has no criminal history in the Big Apple, is a suspect in several current robbery investigations in Queens, NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban said.

He has been living at the migrant shelter in the former Courtyard Marriot Hotel near LaGuardia Airport, Caban added.

It wasn’t immediately clear how long he’d been in the Big Apple but law enforcement sources told The Post he entered the US via Eagle Pass, Texas, at some point last year.

He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens for treatment.

US forces shoot down two Houthi missiles and a drone in the Red Sea
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The US military shot down a drone and two anti-ship ballistic missiles of the Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) in the Red Sea. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced this on June 2 on the X social network.

“The drone and anti-ship ballistic missiles have been determined to pose an immediate threat to US, allied forces and commercial shipping in the region,” the report said.

It is clarified that the Houthis fired missiles towards the American warship Gravely, after which they were destroyed for “self-defense purposes”, and they did not cause any damage.

CENTCOM clarified that the US military shot down one Houthi drone in the southern Red Sea and two more UAVs fell into the water.

As Regnum reported, earlier on June 2, Ansar Allah military representative Yahya Saria announced a Houthi attack on the American aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower and a US destroyer in the Red Sea. According to him, the Houthis used several missiles and drones for this.

The Royal Navy's UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) reported on June 1 that a ship had been attacked off the coast of Yemen. It was noted that the crew and the ship were not injured as a result.

The American magazine Foreign Policy wrote on May 30 that the actions of the Houthis in the Red Sea forced Western cargo carriers to consider the Northern Sea Route as an alternative route for delivering goods. It was noted that for this, Western countries will have to negotiate with Russia.

The Houthis began attacks on Israeli-linked ships in the fall of 2023 after the conflict in the Middle East escalated and the Israeli army launched a ground operation in the Gaza Strip in support of the Palestinian Hamas movement. These attacks led to a decrease in the level of maritime transport and its rise in cost. The US and UK have been

German police officer injured in Mannheim knife attack dies
[FW] A police officer has succumbed to his injuries after intervening in a knife attack earlier this week at an anti-Islam rally. He had been in a coma with stab wounds to the back of the head.

A German police officer died of his injuries after being stabbed several times while trying to pull somebody clear of a knife attack in Mannheim on Friday, police and prosecutors said in a joint statement late on Sunday.

The 29-year-old officer had been in hospital in a coma following the attack.

"He underwent an emergency operation immediately after the crime and was put into an artificial coma, but succumbed to his serious injuries late in the afternoon on Sunday, June 2," the joint statement said. "We mourn a police officer who gave his life for our safety."

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE SUSPECT?
A 25-year-old man was filmed stabbing the police officer and five members of an anti-Islam group calling itself PAX Europa at a booth in the city center. One of those injured was a member of the group's advisory board, Michael Sturzenberger.

Investigators earlier said the suspect was an Afghan citizen who had been resident in Germany for around a decade. He had no criminal record and had not come to law enforcement's attention in the past, they said.
That’s Sulaiman A., born in Herat, more recently from Heppenheim in Hesse, where he acquired a wife and two junior jihadis.
The suspect was eventually shot by police. As of Saturday evening, he was alive but in hospital and in no fit state to be interrogated, according to Sherlocks. As a result, they said, his motives and the reason for his attack required further investigation.

POLITICIANS PAY TRIBUTE, POLICE UNION WARNS OF 'DAILY' VIOLENCE
Politicians uttering the usual caring platitudes snipped.
The head of the state chapter of one of Germany's main police trade unions, meanwhile, voiced not only sorrow but also frustration.

"The violence that we face daily is merciless, brutal, inhuman and often fatal," Ralf Kusterer said.

MANNHEIM POLICE BACK IN ACTION IN CITY CENTER AMID RIVAL RALLIES IN RESPONSE
Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, the enormous newt was trying to decide if Gloria was edible...
police were present in numbers in central Mannheim again on Sunday, amid at least three public demonstrations in response to the attack.

A cross-party organization had called for a human chain to be formed through much of the city center against violence and hate, attracting between 800 and 1,000 people, according to the police.

At the same time, the youth wing of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party organized a demonstration of around 150 at the market square under the motto "remigration would have prevented this crime," in reference to the party's preferred term for forced repatriation of people with migrant backgrounds.

Left-wing antifascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
activists also showed up for a spontaneous counter-demonstration that had not been registered beforehand. Police could be seen clashing with these protesters and encircling or "kettling" them, with law enforcement saying this was to stop them from attacking the far-right protesters.

"Around 15:15, a group of people, some obscuring their faces, tried to disturb the gathering at the market square and violent mostly peacefully advance on them. Some of these people were armed with torches. The attack on the market square could be prevented by a swift police intervention. In this context it was necessary to use pepper spray," Mannheim police said of the incident.

Police said they took down the personal information of the 40 people involved in the counter-protest. One was being investigated for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Courtesy of Skidmark, Breitbart identifies the murdered policeman as Rouven L , adding:
Following the attack — which was reportedly celebrated by Islamists in Germany — Vice President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Kubicki said: “We have been talking about parallel societies and the influx of Islamists for decades. Any substantive proposal to tackle the problem politically is immediately talked down and often labelled as ‘right-wing’ and thus, in the logic of too many journalists, worthy of condemnation.”
Another Breitbart article has more:
According to Bild, the migrant lived in the city of Heppenheim in the state of Hesse, an approximately 40-minute drive away from the site of the attack in Mannheim on Friday.

Speaking to the paper, a neighbour of Sulaiman’s said: “He was inconspicuous, we greeted each other normally… But recently, about the last year, I noticed that he had changed. Before, he was helpful, then he suddenly became colder. He was suddenly more withdrawn. And also more aggressive.”

“In hindsight, you have to be glad that nothing happened to you,” another said. “He drives a VW Passat and attacks Germans with a knife, that doesn’t fit together.”

The Grand Turk
Turkey arrests over 500 for alleged Gulen ties
5/14
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish security forces on Tuesday arrested over 500 individuals for alleged ties with the outlawed Gulen movement, the interior minister announced.
The Turkish treasury is nearly empty — time to refill it from Gulen bank accounts.
Ottoman Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Tuesday that security forces arrested 544 individuals in 62 provinces for alleged link with the Gulen movement, a group accused by Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
of being behind the July 2016 coup attempt.

The suspects were directed by the group leadership to take entrance exams to enter government institutions, according to Yerliakaya, adding that some of the suspects used the ByLock application, which is believed to be the secret communication app between the members of the organization.

"We will not leave members of FETO alone," Yerlikaya said, using the derogatory term for Gulen’s movement.

Influential Ottoman Turkish preacher Fethullah Gülen
>... a Turkish preacher living in Pennsylvania whom the current govt of Turkey considers responsible for all the ills afflicting Turkey and possibly the entire world. Gülen and Erdogan used to be really good friends, but only one of them could be sultan, and Gülen lost...>
and his transnational movement, have been accused by Erdogan and the Ottoman Turkish government of orchestrating the 2016 failed coup attempt in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
that killed more than 240 people. His movement was declared a terrorist organization just two months before the incident and a countrywide crackdown ensued to capture his followers.

Gulen, who has been living in the United States since 1999, has repeatedly denied involvement in the coup.

Regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern Ottoman Turkish politics, Gulen was once a key supporter of Erdogan's rise to power in mid-2000.

But their relationship abruptly ended in 2013 after a corruption scandal involving Erdogan’s closest circles pitted the two men against one other. The Ottoman Turkish president accused Gulen of creating a "parallel state" within Turkey.

Erdogan’s consolidation of power has been denounced by Gulen, who has referred to the Ottoman Turkish president as a "dictator" and has encouraged the US and European governments to do more to restore political freedoms in Turkey.

The suspect was identified as Soqrat Khalil Ismail, 37, known by ISIS as Abdullah the Explosive because when he joined the group in 2013 he was responsible for explosives.

"He played a key role in the ISIS invasion of Mosul in June 2014," the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) said in a statement announcing his arrest.

"We were a group of 300 people when we attacked Mosul in 2014. Abu Lais was our commander," he said in a video confession.

He is also accused of assuming several top positions on the ranks of ISIS, including emir.

Ismail remained in Mosul, fighting Iraqi forces who liberated it in 2017. After the territorial defeat of ISIS in Iraq, he went to Syria where he held various security positions, according to the statement.

In 2018, he returned to Mosul with a fake passport to collect five million dollars ISIS had hidden in Mosul. After handing the money over to ISIS leaders in Baghdad, he travelled to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

, again using a fake passport.

"After staying in Turkey for a couple months, I could not stay more and wanted to return to Iraq - Kirkuk or Baghdad," he noted. His friends did not welcome him back to Kirkuk so he returned to Turkey and lived there for five years.

Again, he wanted to leave Turkey and travelled to the Kurdistan Region with a fake passport, where he was arrested.

Two arrested for targeting KFC branch in Baghdad
5/26/2024
[Rudaw] Iraqi security forces on Sunday announced the arrest of two button men who targeted a branch of popular fast food restaurant KFC in Baghdad by throwing a homemade "bomb" at the front door.

A KFC restaurant branch in Baghdad’s Paleostine Street was targeted on Saturday night by two suspects on a cycle of violence who "threw a homemade bomb," Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement.

"After following the surveillance cameras and tracking down the perpetrators, their identities were revealed and they were caught and arrested," the statement said, adding that their pistols were also confiscated.

The attack resulted in material damage to the entrance of the restaurant.

A world-renowned American fried chicken chain, KFC is among a number of Western brands that have been subject to boycott calls over their alleged links to Israel, with boycotts in the Moslem world particularly slashing the earnings of many popular chains including McDonald’s and Starbucks.

The boycotts are in response to Israel’s deadly military campaign against the Gazoo

Five terror suspects arrested in Sulaimani
5/26/2024
[Rudaw] Kurdish security forces (Asayish) on Sunday announced the arrest of five individuals in Sulaimani on terror-related charges. One of the suspects operated an improvised bomb (IED) factory.

"All five have a history of criminal activities and were previously sought by Iraqi courts," the Asayish said in a statement.

They were arrested during separate operations carried out between May 15 and May 20.

The Asayish did not identify what groups or organizations the five suspects were affiliated with.

Gallant vows war won’t end until Hamas is destroyed; IDF advances further in Rafah
[IsraelTimes] Defense minister says Israel ‘advancing an alternative’ to terror group’s rule; troops find rocket launchers, arms near Egypt border; fighter jets hit over 30 targets across Gaza

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Sunday that Israel was working on finding a replacement for Hamas

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip, vowing that the war will not end until the terror group is dismantled of both its military and governmental capabilities.

"In any process of ending the war, we will not accept Hamas rule. We are advancing an alternative government to Hamas, within the framework of which we will isolate areas, remove the Hamas members and bring in other forces that will enable a different government," Gallant said following an assessment at the Southern Command in Beersheba.

"On one hand, military action, and on the other, the ability to change the regime [in Gaza], will lead to the achievement of two of the goals of this war: the dismantling of the Hamas government and its military power, and the return of the hostages," he added.

Gallant’s comments came after US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
on Friday presented what he described as the latest Israeli proposal for a hostage deal and ceasefire to end the war in Gaza. The US president’s address triggered shockwaves in the Israeli government, where far-right parties threatened to bring down the coalition if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to see it approved.

The war cabinet convened Sunday evening to discuss the proposal and its possible implementation, given international and domestic pressure to accept the deal aimed at securing the release of 121 hostages believed to be held by Hamas in Gaza since being kidnapped on October 7.

Despite Netanyahu’s insistence that there will be no permanent ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas’s military and governing capabilities are destroyed, the heads of the government’s two ultranationalist parties, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich of Religious Zionism and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir of Otzma Yehudit, both threatened Saturday night to bring down the government if the new deal is adopted..

War cabinet minister Benny Gantz has also issued an ultimatum to Netanyahu, demanding last month that the premier commit to an agreed-upon vision for the Gaza conflict that would include stipulating who might rule the territory after Hamas’s defeat, and warning that he would bolt the coalition should this not happen by June 8.

The deliberations came as the Israel Defense Forces pushed on with its campaign to root out Hamas in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah. The IDF said on Sunday that troops had recently begun to operate in the Yabna camp in central Rafah, adjacent to the border with Egypt.

Troops of the Givati Brigade killed several terror operatives and located military infrastructure during recent operations in the area, the IDF said, adding that soldiers also located many weapons, including anti-aircraft machine guns.

Troops of the 9th Armored Battalion, operating under the Givati Brigade in the area, located several rocket launching pits on the Gaza-Egypt border.

Israeli fighter jets struck more than 30 targets across Gaza over the past day, according to an IDF update on Sunday morning. The targets included Hamas infrastructure, weapon depots and cells of button men.

Nahal Brigade troops in Rafah also directed an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
against a rocket launcher, moments after it was used to attack troops in the area. There were no injuries in the rocket attack.

The IDF published images of rocket launchers and a weapons depot discovered by Nahal Brigade troops in Rafah in recent days. The troops used a small drone to scan a suspicious building, where several barrels packed with explosives were located, according to the military.

Over the weekend, the IDF announced the names of a number of "prominent" Hamas operatives who were killed in airstrikes in the Gaza Strip in recent days.

On Thursday, fighter jets struck in central Gaza’s Nuseirat, killing Mansour Adil Mansour Kashlan, whom the IDF said was involved in advancing terror attacks in Israel and in the West Bank.

"The terrorist... advanced and carried out terror activities, as well as engaged in coordination and cooperation with terror groups in the Gaza Strip and other countries," the military said.

In another strike this past week in central Gaza, carried out by a drone, Walid Abed Abu Dalal was killed. The IDF said Abu Dalal served in the terror group’s military wing, alongside his role as head of the technology department in Hamas’s internal security forces.

The military noted that Hamas’s internal security forces, and especially its technology department, "harm the IDF’s freedom of action in the Gaza Strip, and are also a significant part of Hamas’s counter-espionage attempts."

In a separate strike, on Friday, also in Nuseirat, Tareq Darwish was killed. According to the IDF, Darwish was a prominent member of the Nuseirat Battalion’s aerial array. The military said he was killed following attempts in the past month to "impede the IDF’s freedom of aerial action" in Gaza.

The IDF released footage of the latter strike.

In another strike last week, the IDF said it killed Salame Baraka, a member of Hamas’s East Khan Younis Battalion, who also served as head of the finance department in the terror group’s police.

The military said that it also targeted a building belonging to the al-Noor organization in Gaza City last week week. According to the IDF, al-Noor is classified as a terror group, due to its funding of Hamas. The military said al-Noor transferred millions of dollars to Hamas for terror activity in the West Bank, as well as distributing funds to the families of Hamas operatives killed or tossed in the clink
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
by Israel. The strike against the organization’s building in the area of Gaza City’s Daraj and Tuffah neighborhoods took place on Thursday.

Also in Gaza City, the IDF said it launched a new pinpoint raid against Hamas in the Sabra neighborhood this past week, carried out by the Multi-Domain, or Ghost Unit, alongside the Carmeli and Yiftah reserve brigades, under the 99th Division. Troops of the elite Ghost Unit, alongside other forces, killed dozens of button men and demolished a weapons depot in Sabra over the past two days, the IDF said, adding that soldiers also located weapons and many tunnel shafts during sweeps of the area.

The IDF first operated in the Sabra neighborhood during the beginning of the ground offensive last year, after Hamas started the war with its October 7 massacre.

TALKS ON REOPENING RAFAH CROSSING
Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Count Guido stepped from behind the suit of armor, rapier in hand. Ciccolini snarled and reached for his own weapon...
a meeting between US, Egyptian and Israeli officials was scheduled to take place on Sunday in Cairo to discuss the reopening of Gaza’s Rafah Crossing, according to a high-level source quoted by Egypt’s state-linked Al Qahera TV.

Egypt is insisting that Israel withdraw its forces from the crossing, according to Al Qahera, after the IDF seized the Paleostinian side of the crossing in May.

In a weekly humanitarian aid summary, meanwhile, the IDF said on Sunday that 1,858 trucks carrying humanitarian aid had entered the Gaza Strip after being inspected by Israeli authorities. It said the trucks — carrying food, water, medical equipment, and shelter equipment — entered Gaza via the Kerem Shalom Crossing in the Strip’s south and the Erez West Crossing in the north of the territory. The numbers include 764 trucks from Egypt, the IDF says. Egypt had briefly halted humanitarian aid deliveries after the IDF took over the Rafah Crossing last month, before agreeing, in coordination with the United States, to resume deliveries via Kerem Shalom.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 35,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though only some 24,000 fatalities have been identified at hospitals. The toll, which cannot be verified, includes some 15,000 terror operatives Israel says it has killed in battle. Israel also says it killed some 1,000 Death Eaters inside Israel on October 7.

A total of 294 soldiers have been killed during the ground offensive against Hamas and amid operations along the Gaza border. A civilian Defense Ministry contractor has also been killed in the Strip.

2 Palestinian teens shot dead by troops; IDF says they were throwing firebombs
[IsraelTimes] West Bank has seen a surge in violence for more than a year, particularly since the Israel-Hamas war erupted on October 7

Two Paleostinian teenagers were killed by Israeli troops overnight in the West Bank, the Paleostinian Authority health ministry said Sunday.

The ministry said a 16- and a 17-year-old were killed west of Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, near Jericho.

One teen was shot in the head and the other in the chest, the ministry said.

Ashraf Hmedat was killed during an Israeli raid on the refugee camp on Saturday, the official Wafa news agency reported.

Mohammed al-Baytar, 17, was also injured and arrested in the incident. He was taken to a Jerusalem hospital at death's door, where he subsequently died of his wounds, Wafa said.

The Israel Defense Forces did not confirm the deaths but said two suspects had hurled Molotov cocktails toward the nearby settlement of Vered Yeriho, endangering civilians and property.

"(Israeli) soldiers in the area responded with live fire toward the suspects. Hits were identified," the military said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria says several killed in alleged Israeli airstrike on Aleppo area
[IsraelTimes] Unverified report from monitor claims 12 members of pro-Iran militias slain in attack on copper plant in town north of Aleppo

Several people were killed in alleged Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s outside of Aleppo, Syria’s defense ministry said early Monday.

According to reports, the attack targeted a copper plant in the town of Hayyan, north of Aleppo in northern Syria.

Video purporting to show the aftermath of the apparent strike showed large flames shooting out of a building.

"The Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the southeast of Aleppo, targeting some positions," Syria’s defense ministry said in a statement carried by state-run media shortly after the attack at about 12:20 a.m.

"The aggression led to a number of deaders and some material losses," it added.

No specific toll was given.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,a Britannia-based opposition war monitor, claimed that attack killed at least 12 fighters belonging to pro-Iran

militias.

The watchdog, which says it maintains a vast network of sources inside Syria, has been accused in the past of inflating regime losses.

According to the Observatory, Hayyan is "controlled by pro-Iranian groups composed of Syrians and foreigners."

There was no comment on the strike from Israel, which has carried out hundreds of strikes inside Syria since the outbreak of that country’s civil war, mainly targeting attempts to transfer weapons to the Hezbollah terror group, an Iranian proxy, or to keep Iranian fighters themselves from gaining a foothold near Israel’s border.

Aleppo sits on the opposite side of Syria from Israel, and is further than most previous attacks attributed to Israel, though Jerusalem is thought to have ordered strikes in the region before.

The last alleged Israeli strike in Syria occurred on May 29, in an attack that was blamed for the death of a girl in the coastal city of Baniyas. According to the observatory, three Hezbollah members nearby were also killed in a concurrent strike. It blamed shrapnel from the Syrian interception of an Israeli missile for the girl’s killing.

The Israel Defense Forces said Sunday morning that it had carried out an overnight Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
with fighter jets against a Hezbollah compound in northeastern Lebanon’s Baalbek. Baalbek, an area identified in the past as a Hezbollah stronghold, is around 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the Israeli border. The IDF said the strike came as a response to Hezbollah shooting down a military drone over southern Lebanon on Saturday.

In addition to the compound, the IDF said fighter jets also struck a building used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil, and command rooms in Qana and Baraachit.

On Sunday morning, two explosive-laden drones were launched from Lebanon, striking open areas near the city of Katzrin in the Golan Heights, the military said.

The drones sparked a fire that was extinguished a short while later. The IDF said there were no injuries in the incident.

Hezbollah claimed to have targeted an Iron Dome battery in the area with several explosive drones.

Sirens had sounded throughout the area during the attack, as the military attempted to intercept the devices.

Later on Sunday, a barrage of at least 15 rockets was fired at Katzrin, striking open areas and sparking a large fire south of the city, according to the IDF and the Fire and Rescue Service. There were no reports of injuries in the attack.

Hezbollah claimed to have fired dozens of rockets at an IDF base in the area.

In other barrages on Sunday, 15 rockets were fired at the Kiryat Shmona area, and another eight were launched at the largely evacuated border community of Margaliot. According to the IDF, all of the rockets were intercepted.

Another rocket attack on Kiryat Shmona lightly maimed two people, the municipality said. The city said that at least three impact sites were reported in the city, also resulting in damage.

The military later said it carried out a strike against a building used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon’s Houla, used to launch the attack on Margaliot. Lebanese media claimed that two shepherds were killed in the Houla strike.

In a separate attack, a building in the border community of Metula was damaged by anti-tank missile fire from Lebanon, the IDF said.

Also Sunday, several suspected drones were identified by the IDF as crossing into Israel from Lebanon, heading toward the Nahariya area on the coast. Sirens had sounded in the area amid the incident. Footage purportedly from the area showed an Iron Dome interceptor missile engaging one of the drones.

The IDF said the sirens were triggered after an interceptor missile was launched at "a target suspected of being a suspicious aerial target." The military later said the incident was over and under investigation, without elaborating further on whether or not the apparent drones were intercepted.

Later in the day, another explosive drone was launched from Lebanon toward the northern coastal city, with the IDF reporting that it had attempted to intercept the device. The interception attempts failed, and the drone hit an area in the city, causing a small fire that was being extinguished by firefighters, the military added. It marked the first time amid the war that an explosive drone hit Nahariya.

There were no injuries in both incidents, which Hezbollah did not immediately claim responsibility for.

The IDF said it also launched a strike Sunday against a Hezbollah weapons depot in southern Lebanon’s Mays al-Jabal. The strike was carried out after a Hezbollah operative was spotted entering the site. A short while later, a fighter jet struck the building, the military said. The IDF said secondary blasts were seen after the strike, indicating the site was used to store munitions.

Since October 8, Hezbollah-led forces have attacked Israeli communities and military posts along the border on a near-daily basis, with the group saying it is doing so to support Gaza amid the war there. So far, the skirmishes on the border have resulted in 10 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of 14 IDF soldiers and reservists. There have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.

Hezbollah has named 326 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. In Lebanon, another 62 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have been killed.

Israel has expressed openness to a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but has threatened to go to war against Hezbollah to restore security to the north of Israel, where tens of thousands of civilians are currently displaced.

On Sunday, the IDF announced that it had completed a war simulation exercise over the past week, as part of preparations for an escalation in northern Israel amid daily attacks by Hezbollah. The drill, carried out by the Northern Command and other General Staff directorates and wings, included "many scenarios that simulate the expansion of the war in the northern arena, and multi-front war scenarios," the military said.

SDF kills three Turkish-backed militants in Manbij: Monitor
5/26/2024
[Rudaw] At least three Ottoman Turkish-backed faceless myrmidons were killed on Saturday in festivities with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near the northern Syrian city of Manbij, a war monitor reported.

"Three members of the National Army were killed following an infiltration operation carried out by forces of the Manbij Military Council... in the Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based war monitor.

The Manbij Military Council is a local Kurdish-led force affiliated with the SDF in Arab-majority Manbij. Security in Kurdish-controlled areas in north and east Syria is managed through military councils led by locals to maintain the delicate balance of the region and prevent Arab discontent.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
has long viewed strategic Manbij, located at a crossroads connecting Aleppo, Raqqa, and the Kurdish-administered northeast, as a key zone to launch its next military operation in northern Syria to seize from Kurdish forces.

labeled the city and Tal Rifaat as Ankara’s next targets in order to complete its long-desired 30-kilometer "safe zone" along the southern border.

Turkey accuses the Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the SDF, of being the Syrian front for the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Ankara has carried out three military operations against Kurdish forces in northern Syria since 2016, invading key towns near the border such as Afrin, Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain), and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad).

(ISIS) murderous Moslems.

The bandidos murderous Moslems were driving through a checkpoint on the Deir ez-Zor - al-Sukhna road when the IED detonated, killing five fighters, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based war monitor.

ISIS has increased its attacks in Syria in recent weeks, particularly in the vast expanses of desert where the group launches surprise attacks amid a security vacuum. On Tuesday, Death Eaters killed three Syrian army soldiers in the central province of Homs. On Saturday, they attacked a military checkpoint belonging to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), according to SOHR.

According to SOHR data, 380 people, including women and kiddies, have bit the dust in ISIS attacks since early 2024.
