Up to 43 dead after attacks on church and homes in the Democratic Republic of Congo carried out by Islamic State linked group
Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
carried out by a group linked to Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
.

Fighters for the Allied Democratic Forces
...established in the early 1990s through an agreement between portions of Uganda’s Salaf Tabliq Islamic sect and the National Army for the Liberation of Uganda (NALU), who said they had been sidelined by Museveni’s policies. At the time, the rebels staged deadly attacks in Ugandan villages and the capital, including a 1998 attack in which 80 students were massacred. A Ugandan military operation later forced the ADF into eastern Congo. The ADF has since established ties with the Islamic State group. The ADF has received funding from the Government of Sudan, which has also provided supplies and training. The ADF may also have received funding from the illegal mining and logging industries of the DRC....
(ADF) bumped off around 20 worshippers participating in a night vigil, according to local officials in Komanda, a town in the north-east of the country.

They also looted and set fire to various nearby shops and businesses and razed several homes to the ground, the BBC reports.

Dieudonne Duranthabo, a civil society coordinator in the town, suggested that more bodies could yet be found following the merciless attack.

He said: 'More than 21 people were rubbed out inside and outside [the church] and we have recorded at least three charred bodies and several houses burned.

'But the search is continuing,' he added.

Local priest Aime Lokana Dhego, meanwhile, said: 'We have at least 31 dead members of the Eucharistic Crusade movement, with six seriously injured.

'Some young people were kidnapped, we have no news of them.'

Gunmen kill more than 20 people during church service in DR Congo
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Militants from the extremist group "Alliance of Democratic Forces" (ADF)
…they started out as Salafists in Uganda, but after a bit too much nastiness were driven into eastern DRC, where they eventually signed up with ISIS as well as snagging funding and training from the government of Sudan on top of taxing local illegal loggers and miners ….
killed more than 40 people in the village of Komanda in Ituri Province in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This was reported on July 27 by the Congolese radio station Okapi.

An armed group attacked the village on the night of July 27, the media reports. 43 people were killed, including 20 parishioners who were inside the church for night prayer. The militants set fire to several public buildings and private homes.

"According to military authorities, the alarm was raised at around 2am after smoke rose from burning houses. When they arrived, the attackers had already left the scene. They reportedly left their stronghold on Mount Hoyo and headed along Bogi Road, located about 12 kilometres from the centre of the Command, to carry out these actions," the publication reported.

The government forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, together with units of the Ugandan army operating in Ituri province in coordination with the government of the DRC, are currently searching for the militants.

The anti-government group ADF was formed in Uganda in 1995. In 2003, under pressure from the Ugandan armed forces, ADF units retreated and took refuge in the eastern regions of the DRC, from where they regularly carry out attacks on military and civilian targets.

In April, 148 people died when a wooden boat sank in the DRC. According to Kompetent Loyoko, the commissioner for river affairs, a fire broke out on board while one of the passengers was cooking. There were about 500 passengers on the boat. Dozens of passengers, including women and children, panicked and jumped into the water, dying because they did not know how to swim.

Man arrested after shouting ‘Allahu akbar’ aboard easyJet flight to Scotland
[IsraelTimes] Counterterrorism agents are investigating after a man was arrested off an easyJet flight as it arrived in the Scottish city of Glasgow, police say.

"We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, 27 July, 2025," Police Scotland say in a statement. "Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in jug. Enquiries are continuing."

Unverified videos spreading online appear to show a man standing up at the back of the plane shouting "holy shit! Allahu akbar" (God is greatest) before being tackled to the ground by a passenger.

EasyJet flight U2609 declared an emergency on approach to Glasgow this morning due to an unruly passenger making threats

Police say they are “aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counterterrorism officers.”

EasyJet confirms in a statement sent to AFP that a passenger had been removed today from flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow “due to their behavior onboard.”
The Sun has photos and more video, including the arrest, adding:
THIS is the moment brave passengers banded together to tackle a man shouting that he had a bomb during an easyJet flight - before claiming he wanted to "send a message" to Donald Trump.

The dramatic incident on Sunday morning (July 27) - caught on film and sent to The Sun - saw the packed jet forced into an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport.

A witness said he woke up suddenly around 8am, under an hour after taking off from Luton, to the man coming out of the toilets at the back of the plane causing a commotion.

The passenger - who did not wish to be named - told us: “He literally came out of the toilet shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ with his hands above his head.

“Then he said ‘I’ve got a bomb, I’ve got a bomb’ - at this point people were confused.

“I thought he was joking, I mean it’s a weird joke.”

The 39-year-old - who was flying into the Scottish city for his dad's birthday party - went on to say: “He pushed the airline staff and was being aggressive towards them. He was a big guy, about six foot and they were these petite women.

“When he pushed them, that’s when things changed.

“At that point one guy managed to grab him from behind and pull him down, then everyone jumped on top of him.

“He was fighting a bit on the floor, but at this point he knew he’d f***** up.”

He described how three passengers pinned the man down, adding: “I was right there, there wasn’t much for me to do, so I thought I’ll film it.”

The footage includes the flight attendants clambering over the seats in their high heels, as they went to check the man’s bag, and “realised there wasn’t a bomb”, the witness said.

“The pilot announced he was making an emergency landing and took the plane down so quickly," he continued.

“Everyone who wasn’t restraining him was told to sit down. The three guys pinning him down, they landed whilst pinning him down. It was incredible.

"I’ve never seen that before. The airline staff, they were all girls, they were really shaken up by it, but they were super professional.”

He said they had managed to get the man’s wallet out of his pocket and he appeared to be an Indian national, and he was told he was carrying a refugee status card.

As the plane came into land, the witness said he held up one of the passengers sat on the “bomber” to prevent him toppling over.

He said passengers feared they’d have to land elsewhere but actually came down at Glasgow, the flight’s original destination, and “taxied really quickly and then slammed on the brakes at a remote part of the runway”.

Fire engines then swarmed the scene before six police officers came on board the plane from the back.

The witness explained: “The main copper didn’t f*** around, he said ‘look, don’t mess about or you’ll go straight down’. By this point the guy had calmed down. He’d admitted he didn’t have a bomb. He gave up.

“We waited there on the runway for about 10 minutes, the guys still pinning him, waiting for the police - it wasn’t very long but it felt like ages.”

The witness, from London, and others involved were asked to stay behind to give statements and hand over video, while the other passengers were taken off the plane.

In one piece of footage, as the offender is led out of the plane in handcuffs, he turns back and asks "my phone and wallet?" and someone can be heard saying "f*** off" before several passengers laugh.

Europe
Police: 57 arrested, 17 officers hurt in yesterday’s anti-Israel rally in Berlin
[IsraelTimes] Berlin police say they arrested 57 people during a pro-Palestinian demonstration on the fringes of the city’s yearly Pride march yesterday, adding that 17 police officers sustained injuries.

According to police, about 10,000 demonstrators participated in the rally yesterday in support of Palestinians, but authorities moved in to disperse the crowd as organizers struggled to restore order.

The arrests were related to public order disturbances, including resisting police and throwing bottles or physical altercation, but also the use of antisemitic slogans as well as “symbols of anti-constitutional and terrorist organizations,” police write on social media.

The “Internationalist Queer Pride for Liberation” movement, which on its website says there is “no queer liberation without anti-imperialist, anti-colonial, and anti-Zionist struggle,” organized the rally.

The pro-Palestinian demonstration took place as Berlin’s annual Pride parade was being held in another city district, where 64 arrests were also made, for insults, assault and also the alleged use of symbols deemed linked to “terrorist organizations.”

Iraq
Iraqi authorities arrest PMF members linked to attack on ministry
[Rudaw] At least one Iraqi officer and several other personnel were maimed in an "armed assault" at an Iraqi agriculture ministry office in western Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi authorities confirmed, adding that more than a dozen suspects linked to the Iran-aligned Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have been arrested in connection with the attack.

In a statement, the Security Media Cell of the Joint Operations Command said that "a reprehensible incident" occurred at the ministry’s Karkh district office on Sunday morning, resulting in injuries among security forces. "Security forces were able to arrest 14 suspects" who were identified as members of the PMF’s "brigades 45 and 46," the Cell added, noting that the suspects "have been referred to the judiciary, with legal proceedings underway."

Brigades 45 and 46 are affiliated with the Kata’ib Hezbollah - a powerful Iranian-backed Iraqi gang designated by the United States as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). Washington holds Kata’ib Hezbollah, a key player in the Iran-led ’Axis of Resistance®,’ responsible for numerous attacks on US assets in the region since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
conflict in October 2023.

In response to Sunday’s incident, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
i - who also serves as commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces, including the PMF - "has ordered the formation of a high-level investigative committee" to probe "how an armed force acted without official orders or approvals, attempted to seize a government building, and opened fire on security units," the Security Media Cell added.

In a previous statement on Sunday, the Iraqi interior ministry noted that "the incident coincided with a newly appointed director beginning his duties," adding that Iraqi federal police units and Karkh emergency patrols "quickly intervened and came under direct gunfire, resulting in several officers and personnel sustaining various injuries."

The ministry noted that "search and pursuit operations are ongoing" to apprehend remaining suspects, affirming its strong condemnation and stressing that Iraqi forces "will not tolerate any party attempting to impose a de facto situation by force or threaten state institutions.

"Upholding the authority of the state and the rule of law remains a top and non-negotiable priority," the ministry emphasized.

This is not the first time Kata'ib Hezbollah has been linked to festivities with Iraqi state forces. Previous incidents include a firefight with federal police in Baghdad in May 2023 and a confrontation with the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service at Camp Speicher in March 2023.

The group has also been accused of participating in the violent mostly peaceful crackdown on the October 2019 - Tishreen Movement - pro-reform demonstrations across Iraq and of involvement in the November 2021 liquidation attempt on then-prime minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi via a drone attack on his Green Zone residence.

Gaza: Two IDF soldiers killed when armored vehicle hit by explosive in Khan Younis
[IsraelTimes] Cpt. Amir Saad and Sgt. Inon Nuriel Vana served as technology and maintenance troops in Golani recon unit; terror operatives apparently emerged from tunnel, planted explosive on side of APC

Two Israeli soldiers were killed and an officer was moderately wounded by an explosive device in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday evening, the military announced Sunday morning.

The slain soldiers were named as:

  • Cpt. Amir Saad, 22, a Technology and Maintenance Corps officer serving in the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, from Yanuh-Jat

  • Sgt. Inon Nuriel Vana, 20, a Technology and Maintenance Corps soldier serving in the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, from Kiryat Tiv’on

According to an initial IDF investigation, the soldiers were inside a Namer armored personnel carrier that was hit by an explosive device during operations in Khan Younis.

The preliminary probe found that Hamas terror operatives apparently emerged from a tunnel and planted the explosive on the side of the APC being used to transport the technology and maintenance forces, who are tasked with repairing army equipment inside Gaza.

The blast killed Saad and Vana, and wounded an officer in the Golani reconnaissance unit. He was taken to a hospital in moderate condition, the army said.

The military said it was continuing to investigate how the bomb was detonated.

The Hamas operatives hurled a second explosive device at another APC in the area. However, it did not explode, and the Golani soldiers inside were unharmed, according to the initial investigation.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on its Telegram channel.

In a statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered his condolences.

“Our brave soldiers risked their lives in the campaign to defeat the Hamas murderers and for the sacred mission of freeing our hostages,” he said in a statement.

On Saturday, a reservist combat engineer who was seriously wounded by a roadside bomb in the southern Gaza Strip a week before succumbed to his wounds.

Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 459. The toll includes two police officers and three Defense Ministry civilian contractors.

Saturday’s deaths were announced as the military began implementing 10-hour daily pauses in fighting in densely populated areas of Gaza amid a push to get much-needed humanitarian aid into the Strip.

12 Palestinians reported killed near Gaza aid distribution center
[IsraelTimes] Twelve Palestinians in Gaza have been reported killed near an aid distribution center south of Gaza City.

The Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat announces that it has received 12 bodies, including four children, and over 100 people who were injured following an IDF attack near an aid distribution center south of Gaza City along the Netzarim corridor.

The facility is believed to be a distribution center run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. It is unclear from the reports whether the fire involved an airstrike, shelling or small arms fire.

In response, the IDF says in a statement that “a group of suspects was identified gathering near IDF forces operating in central Gaza, in a manner that posed a threat to the troops.”

The military says that troops “fired warning shots to drive them away” and asserts that no injuries were reported. The shooting was several hundred meters away from the aid distribution area and was before it began operating, the IDF adds.

The military announced earlier today that will be implementing humanitarian pauses from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. in areas where the IDF is currently not operating with ground troops, including al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City.

Bedouin reconnaissance unit commander, tracker seriously wounded by explosive device in Rafah; 2 other soldiers also hurt
[IsraelTimes] Four IDF soldiers, including a senior commander, were wounded by an explosive device during operations in southern Gaza’s Rafah earlier today, the military announces.

The commander of the Desert Reconnaissance Unit — commonly known as the Bedouin reconnaissance unit — who holds the rank of lieutenant colonel, was seriously wounded in the incident.

A reservist tracker in the unit was also seriously wounded, and two other officers were listed in moderate and light condition, according to the IDF.

The four troops were taken to hospitals and their families were notified, the army adds.

IDF troops destroy 500-meter-long Hamas tunnel in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] A 500-meter-long Hamas tunnel in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoun was recently demolished by troops, the IDF says.

The military says the tunnel was located in recent days by reservists of the 646th Paratroopers Brigade, as part of efforts to uncover Hamas’s underground infrastructure in the area. Troops of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit destroyed it.

Iran-born Israeli charged with giving Tehran sensitive info on Israel’s war plans
[IsraelTimes] Israeli citizen with well-connected friend allegedly informed on Iranian agent who’d been helping Israel, and told his handler in May that Israel was going to attack Iran

State prosecutors filed espionage charges last week against an Israeli citizen suspected of passing sensitive information about Israeli war plans to an Iranian intelligence agent, it was announced Sunday.

According to the indictment, the Israeli spied for Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
throughout the ongoing war against Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
, including during the 12-day Israel-Iran war last month. It was unclear if he had been paid for the information.

Among other things, he allegedly informed an Iranian agent that the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s 2024 missile attacks had hit the Nevatim airbase; informed him around May 2025 that Israel was planning to attack Iran, including with a commando operation against its nuclear program; and informed him that drones from Israel were making their way to Iran via Azerbaijan.

The accused also informed the Iranian agent about an Iranian sailor who was passing on information to Israel, prosecutors alleged.

The suspect’s name and most identifying details have been barred from publication, but according to the indictment he immigrated from Iran to Israel in 1999 and rekindled ties to his birthplace over a decade later on a trip to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
During that trip, the accused visited the Iranian embassy in Turkey, and asked how he could visit Iran, where he still has family. He left the meeting with "official documents," according to the indictment, though their significance was not clear from it.

Soon after that, the accused began a relationship with an Iranian woman living in Iran.

He came into contact with Iranian operatives by way of his partner, who was contacted by an agent asking her to arrange a meeting with the suspect.

The suspect met with two Iranian operatives in September 2024 on a visit to Turkey to see his partner, prosecutors said. After his return to Israel, he maintained contact with one of the agents through the Telegram messaging app.

According to the indictment, the suspect exploited his preexisting friendship with an Israeli man, who supposedly has ties to government figures.

The suspect’s friend was separately in contact with someone who presented himself as an Iranian sailor who provided intelligence that could aid Israel against Iran. The friend requested the defendant’s help in translating his correspondence with the sailor from Farsi to Hebrew.

However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
the suspect exposed the sailor to his Iranian handler, sharing the information he was asked to translate and advising his contact to "keep an eye on him," per the indictment.

At some point, the accused told the Iranian agent that the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s two missile barrages at Israel in 2024 had struck the Nevatim air base — a fact that was surmisable via satellite imagery but about which Israel was reluctant to make public specific information.

Around May 2025, roughly a month before Israel’s air offensive against Iran, the defendant told his Iranian contact that Israel planned to carry out an attack in Iran.

He later updated the agent that Israel was planning a commando operation targeting the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s nuclear facilities.

Additionally, "at a time that is not precisely known by the prosecution, the accused wrote the foreign agent saying drones going to Iran from Israel were making their way to Iran via Azerbaijan," the indictment stated.

It was unclear from the indictment whether the suspect had passed accurate information, or where it had come from.

Police arrested the suspect on July 1. He was charged in the Lod District Court with the offenses of maintaining contact with a foreign agent and passing intelligence to the enemy with the intent to harm state security, which is punishable by life in prison.

Over the past year, Shin Bet and the Israeli police have uncovered more than two dozen instances of Israelis being recruited by Iran to carry out various missions.

Officials have said that they believe that potentially hundreds of Israelis have been working on behalf of Iran, in an effort that Tehran has accelerated within the past couple of years.
It’s not the quantity, it’s the quality. And of course it does help, in the spy biz, if the home office is not riddled and controlled by Mossad.
Earlier this month, the Israeli government launched an advertising campaign aimed at dissuading Israelis from spying for Iran.
Prosecutors claim the defendant exploited his preexisting friendship with another Israeli man, who supposedly has ties to government figures.

The defendant’s associate was also in contact with an Iranian chemist who provided intelligence that could aid Israel against Iran. He requested the defendant’s help in translating his correspondence with the chemist from Farsi to Hebrew.

The suspect ratted out the Iranian chemist to the intelligence agent, sharing the information he was asked to translate and advising his contact to “keep an eye on him,” per the indictment.

In May 2025, a month before Israel’s air offensive against Iran, the defendant told his Iranian contact that Israel planned to carry out an attack in Iran. He later updated the agent that Israel was planning a commando operation targeting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities.

Police arrested the suspect on July 1. He is charged in the Lod District Court with the offenses of maintaining contact with a foreign agent and passing intelligence to the enemy with the intent to harm state security.

Israel Accused of Kidnapping 21 from Handala Ship
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Israeli forces kidnapped 21 people from the Handala ship, which was heading to the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid as part of the Freedom Flotilla action. The organizers of the action reported this on social networks on July 27.

"Israeli forces illegally boarded the Handala in international waters, kidnapping 21 unarmed civilians. Demand that your government stop complicity in Israeli war crimes, allow unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, and call for the immediate release of all crew members," X (formerly Twitter) said in a post.

The Handala left Sicily on July 13 with new humanitarian aid for Gaza. It was carrying food and medicine. The ship was stopped about 70 miles from the Gaza Strip and towed to the Israeli port of Ashdod, according to media reports.

On July 27, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) introduced a daily " tactical pause " in military operations in certain areas of the Gaza Strip from 10:00 to 20:00 Moscow time. This decision was made in connection with the increased flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Moreover, from 06:00 to 23:00 Moscow time, designated safe routes will be in operation for the passage of humanitarian aid convoys from the UN and organizations that deliver and distribute food and medicine to residents of the Gaza Strip, the IDF added.

The Israeli military clarified that such a regime will be introduced until further notice in areas where military operations are not being conducted: Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City.

On July 25, the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow supports UN Security Council resolutions on the Palestine issue, considering them the only way to resolve the conflict in the Middle East. In October 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled that the UN Security Council resolution prescribes the creation of two states in the Middle East : Palestine and Israel. He added that Russia has always proceeded from the fact that this decision must be implemented.

Iran executes two members of banned opposition group for alleged armed operations
So many indications that Iran is no longer the beloved of Allah.
[IsraelTimes] One arrested following 2022 blast at Communications Ministry; pair found guilty of manufacturing improvised launchers and mortars and using them in support of MEK

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
executed two members of the outlawed Mujahideen-e-Khalq opposition group for targeting civilian infrastructure with homemade projectiles, the judiciary news outlet Mizan reported on Sunday.

MEK, also known as the People’s Mujahedeen Organization, is one of the main Iranian opposition factions outside the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani-Eslamloo, "operational elements" of the MEK, were sentenced to death in a verdict upheld by the Supreme Court, Mizan said.

"The terrorists, in coordination with MEK leaders, had set up a team house in Tehran, where they built launchers and handheld mortars in line with the group’s goals, fired projectiles heedlessly at citizens, homes, service and administrative facilities, educational and charity centers, and also carried out propaganda and information-gathering activities in support of the MEK," the report said.

The defendants were indicted for "moharebeh," an Islamic term meaning waging war against God, destroying public property and "membership in a terrorist organization with the aim of disrupting national security."

Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Sunday that Ehsani-Eslamloo had been arrested in 2022 following a kaboom at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology claimed by the MEK.

The MEK was a powerful leftist-Islamist group that staged bombing campaigns against the shah’s government and US targets in the 1970s but ultimately fell out with the other factions of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since then, the MEK has opposed the Islamic Theocratic Republic, and its leadership in exile has been Gay Paree-based. The group was listed as a terrorist organization by the US and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
until 2012.

Iran enforces capital punishment for a range of serious crimes and ranks as the world’s second-most prolific executioner after China, according to human rights

groups including Amnesty International.

Executions in Iran are typically carried out by hanging at dawn.

The executions took place as Iran has faced continuing instability following its 12-day war with Israel last month, in which Israeli and US strikes targeted Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities, weapons program and top nuclear scientists. In recent days, Iran has restarted talks over its nuclear program with La Belle France, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Since the war, the country has experienced a series of mysterious explosions hitting apartment buildings, oil facilities and factories. Publicly, officials have blamed the incidents on a range of causes, including gas leaks, garbage fires, and dilapidated infrastructure. But The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported that privately, Iranian officials believe Israel is to blame.

And on Saturday, Iranian state media reported that button men killed five civilians during a "terrorist attack" on a judiciary building in the country’s southeast before being killed themselves.

According to Iranian media, Jaish al-Adl (Arabic for "Army of Justice"), a Baloch jihadist group based in Pakistain but also active in Iran, grabbed credit for the attack.

2 Hezbollah members killed in Israeli drone strike, says IDF
[IsraelTimes] Two members of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force were killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon’s Debaal yesterday, the IDF announces.

The strike killed Muhammad Haidar Abboud, an operations officer, and another unnamed operative responsible for artillery in the unit, according to the military.

The IDF says the pair were involved in efforts to restore the Radwan force’s capabilities and planning attacks against Israel.

“Their activities constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the military adds.
