US Attorney Jeanine Pirro is now determining the legal status of *every* person who enters the D.C. criminal justice system. If they're illegal, she's turning them over to ICE.
[X]

…those illegals who are currently burrowed in our criminal justice system, who've identified themselves either as citizens or individuals with actual legal status who do not have status or are illegal. Previously, there was no questioning them, and there was certainly no verification of that."

"[We're] working with ICE to identify those individuals already in the system that we can then find out from ICE what their status is. Previously, no one even asked. They would just literally go through the system and either be convicted and possibly go to jail and be found not guilty and be released. But the DC City Council has worked very hard to make sure that these individuals avoid any contact with ICE."

"We are identifying the illegals that are in the system to make sure that DC is safe, that we know who is here and who is entitled to be here."

Great job
@JudgeJeanine

#1  Past convictions round them up.

Current court cases...
Only after the illegal serves the time for the crime.

Otherwise deportation is a "Get out of Jail free card", and will only have them back in a few months, doing it again.

Egypt says it’s training hundreds of Palestinians for Gaza security
[IsraelTimes] Plan has been in works for months and is meant to be implemented after the war ends, Foreign Minister Abdelatty says, noting Cairo still working for ceasefire

Egypt is training hundreds of Paleostinians to take on security roles in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
when the Israel-Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
war ends, the country’s foreign minister told a Saudi news channel on Wednesday.

In a clip of the interview with the Al Arabiya channel, which has yet to be aired, Badr Abdelatty said Egypt has a clear plan for security and governance arrangements in Gaza after the war ends
…oh? Tell us, do, about this mysterious plan, so we can compare it to Israel’s and see which one is better…
and it is training Paleostinian operatives who will be deployed in the Gaza Strip and assume security roles.
Assuming Israel agrees to the plan, of course, since without their agreement the war will continue…
Egypt first unveiled its proposal for Gaza’s security and future in March, and Abdelatty has mentioned operationalizing it since then. His statement on Wednesday indicated that the country has continued to put the plan into action, despite the war still raging and enduring disputes over who will govern Gaza once it ends.

"Egypt is training hundreds of Paleostinians to take on security responsibilities in Gaza," he said in the interview.

In April, Abdelatty told the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a conference in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, that Egypt had begun recruiting Paleostinian security operatives who would be trained to oversee security in Gaza.
How many of those operatives are on the Hamas payroll, or have been? Because Israel has demanded that all Hamas operatives stack arms and leave the Gaza Strip as a condition to end the war…
"We are empowering the Paleostinian coppers, providing training and recruiting new members in order to be deployed in Gaza to take care of the law, order and security in Gaza," he said at the time.
Whose laws? Not Hamas’s, right?
"And, of course, we are standing ready for deployment of an international force — protection, peacekeeping, whatever we call it — to be there in order to provide security and protection for the Paleostinians."
And whose troops, pray tell, are to make up this international force? Has this gotten Israeli agreement?
The Egyptian training program is a piece of a $53 billion plan
…an awful lot of money. Where on earth did Egypt get such a sum to play with?
Cairo proposed in March for Gaza’s reconstruction that was adopted by the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
and the 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation. That plan was meant as a counter to US President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
’s announcement the previous month that the US would "take over" Gaza and relocate its Paleostinian residents.

Trump’s plan drew broad backlash from the international community, Arab countries and members of both major US parties, and he has not focused on it in recent months. But leaders of the Israeli far right have embraced it as a blueprint for Israeli resettlement of Gaza. Right-wing politicians held a conference last week, headlined by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, on Israel annexing the Strip and making a "Gaza Riviera" a reality.

On Monday, Israel’s cabinet held a meeting in which ministers reportedly discussed Israel occupying Gaza and formally annexing parts of it, after talks broke down in Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
last week over a possible ceasefire in Gaza and the release of some of the 50 hostages held there by Hamas.
I suppose Egypt’s little gendarmerie can manage whatever of the Strip left over.
That Israeli vision runs counter to the one advanced by Egypt and the vaporous Arab League, which envisions the West Bank-based Paleostinian Authority governing a postwar Gaza as a steppingstone to Paleostinian statehood.
Utterly idiotic. The PA couldn’t keep Gaza in the teeth of Hamas objection back in 2006, when the PA was much stronger. Why on earth does anyone think they would be able to do so now?
The Arab League again endorsed that idea in a declaration on Tuesday at a United Nations conference on a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians.

Israel has rejected Palestinian statehood as a reward to Hamas for the October 7 attack, and says recognition of such a state pushes peace between the sides further away.

Abdelatty said in the clip of the Saudi interview that Egypt is still committed to reaching a ceasefire and holds daily talks with Qatar and the United States amid efforts to do so. He accused Israel of using food as a weapon, saying the hunger in Gaza is “beyond imagination.”
It isn’t, actually, demonstrably because so much of the population is noticeably fat, except for those out of favour with the ruling Hamas, and a number of genetics cases resulting from close-cousin marriage. But Hamas and the UN are hoarding humanitarian supplies so that Hamas can earn billions from reselling to a desperate, captive population — held there because Hamas has blocked the exits since 2007 — at wartime prices.

Palestine Action’s co-founder wins bid to challenge UK terror group ban
[IsraelTimes] The co-founder of a pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel campaign group wins her bid to bring a legal challenge against the British government’s decision to ban the group under anti-terrorism laws.

Huda Ammori, who helped found Palestine Action in 2020, asked London’s High Court to give the go-ahead for a full challenge to the group’s proscription, which was made on the grounds it committed or participated in acts of terrorism.

Earlier this month, the High Court refused Ammori’s application to pause the ban and, following an unsuccessful last-ditch appeal, Palestine Action’s proscription came into effect just after midnight on July 5.

Proscription makes it a crime to be a member of the group, carrying a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison.

Judge Martin Chamberlain granted permission for Ammori to bring a judicial review, saying her case that proscription amounted to a disproportionate interference with her and others’ right to freedom of expression was “reasonably arguable.”

Hamas Co-Founder’s Son Rips Pro-Jihadi UK Government
The Brits have long had a stream of philosemitism alongside a river of Jew hate. Mosab Hassan Yousef calls them on it.
[PJMedia] Mosab Hassan Yusef, who defected from his father’s Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
terror group to Israel and converted to Christianity, has a message for the antisemitic UK government: "October 7 didn’t happen because ’Paleostinians’ were denied a state, it happened because they were given one."

The Moslem Arabs always refused to share a state with the Jews, and the British in the 20th century tried to appease them by arbitrarily creating the Moslem nation of Jordan. That simply allowed the Moslems to launch Jihad against the newly refounded state of Israel. Then Israel tried to appease the Moslems who had begun to call themselves Paleostinians by giving them the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip. And all that did was provide another base of terrorist operations right on Israel’s doorstep. The two-state solution was tried and failed — spectacularly. Yet the UK and French governments are gung-ho on trying it yet again.

It is no doubt excessively frustrating to have seen up close the reality of Hamas and Paleostinian jihad and not be able to convince cultural imperialist Westerners of the truth. Yusef wrote on X on July 29, "’UK to recognize ’Paleostinian’ state unless Israel end war and commit to peace.’ How about no ’Paleostinian’ state unless ’Paleostinians’ release the hostages, elect a moderate leadership, drop their violence, hand over those who planned and participated in war crimes and apologize to the Jewish people."

In conclusion, Yusef rejected the claim that the UK is working for peace: "Pleasing Moslem voters in the UK and La Belle France at the expense of another democracy is rude, provocative, and will not bring peace."

#1  Earlier this year, Front Page Magazine revealed that the UK was estimated to have more political prisoners than Cuba with speech interdictions totaling 1,000 arrests a month. Many of these arrests involve speech critical of the presence of Muslims in the UK including the mass arrests of anyone revealing that, contrary to the government’s denials, a Muslim terrorist had stabbed 3 little girls to death. Now it’s been learned that the British government ran a scheme to smuggle thousands of Afghans into the UK and banned reporters from speaking about it.

Colombian Senator Paloma Valencia: ‘Fundamental' for U.S. to Help Fight Cocaine Boom
[Breitbart] Growing threats to democracy in Colombia are being fueled in part by a cocaine boom under a Marxist president, Colombian Senator Paloma Valencia told Breitbart News on Wednesday, urging America to help fight the influence of criminal drug gangs.

Valencia, a member of former President Álvaro Uribe’s conservative Democratic Center party, is running in the nation’s 2026 presidential election on a platform of continued energy independence — Colombia is a major fossil fuel exporter — as well as fighting organized crime and championing traditional values.

Running for president as a conservative is a dangerous move in the country under leftist President Gustavo Petro, a hardline Marxist and proud former member of the M19 terrorist guerrilla group. During the Petro presidency, Uribe and other prominent conservatives have faced a growing wave of violence and persecution. Another member of the Democratic Center running for president, Miguel Uribe Turbay (no relation to Álvaro Uribe), was shot in the head by a child during a campaign event in June and remains hospitalized in critical condition. There has been no indication that he’s regained consciousness since being shot.

“They attempted to assassinate one of our [presidential] candidates with a bullet to the head, and a month later we are debating whether to imprison President Uribe,” Valencia explained to Breitbart News. “Which is to say: what we are starting to see here is that this is not a coincidence and it is all part of like a strategy to destroy the political participation of the followers of President Uribe.”

Álvaro Uribe was convicted on charges of abuse of procedure and bribery of a public official on Monday in a years-long legal process that both Valencia and senior members of the U.S. government have denounced as a sham.

“This all has its origin in that one of the lawmakers closest to Petro, son of a revolutionary — indeed, he studied in the Soviet Union with a communist formation, who is Iván Cepeda,” Valencia explained. “He was visiting in prisons — and this was absolutely proven — looking for testimonies against President Uribe tying him to paramilitaries and offering judicial benefits in exchange for these testimonies that carried humanitarian benefits.”

Uribe sued and publicly condemned Senator Iván Cepeda for allegedly seeking to bribe individuals to testify against him. The dispute began in 2012 and led to a Colombian court not only dismissing Uribe’s complaint, but launching an investigation into the former president for the same allegation.

“What did President Uribe do? What anyone would do: find a lawyer to go verify what was going on in the prisons where people were saying this that I told you, that Senator Cepeda came to offer benefits in exchange for testimonies.”

The Democratic Center party has confirmed that Uribe will appeal the conviction against him this week, but the court is expected to rule this week on whether to imprison him during the appeal process.

Ex-President Uribe held office from 2002 to 2010, distinguishing himself as one of modern Colombia’s most successful presidents. His administration focused heavily on improving relations with the United States, cooperating with the administration of President George W. Bush to use counterterrorism tactics popularized in the Middle East in Colombia against the communist terrorists of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). He has since built up his Democratic Center as the primary conservative political party in the country.

As a result of his success in dramatically diminishing the influence of the half-century-old communist guerrillas on the lives of civilians, Uribe has remained a major player in subsequent elections. More recently, the left-wing New York Times revealed in January that Uribe was instrumental in amending an unnecessary diplomatic crisis between Bogotá and Washington caused by Petro posting a long-winded rant attacking President Donald Trump for attempting to deport Colombians illegally present in his country. Uribe was called in after Petro’s own cabinet could not establish contact with him, according to the report.

Petro’s former Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva has since accused Petro, who regularly celebrates cocaine use in public, of suffering from drug addiction, allegations Petro has continuously denied including as recently as Tuesday.

Valencia explained in her remarks to Breitbart News that several factors led to a dramatic change at the helm of the country from former President Iván Duque, a Democratic Center leader, to the Petro era.

“This has an explanation, which is the pandemic, where people had a lot of frustration, but also the renewed influence of foreign powers that were involved in what Latin America has been called social blowups,” Valencia explained. “When you see the presence of the Russians in the Chilean and Colombian social blowups, you understand that this did not happen alone and that here there has been that interference.”

“But above all, it is the democratic crisis in the world where people decide to vote for something new and in countries where people don’t know their story, people did not know very well what Petro had done or what he meant,” she added.

Colombia experienced a wave of left-wing riots during the Duque era, beginning in 2019 but continuing despite Wuhan coronavirus lockdowns and other restrictions. Multiple subsequent investigations revealed that the CIA had reason to believe the Russian government was involved in some of the riots. A study by the Center for a Secure Free Society (SFS) published in 2021 found that thousands of online “troll accounts” were fueling anti-government sentiment, “managed by click farms in Bangladesh, Mexico, and Venezuela, possibly ran by servers in Russia and China.”

'It's a pity she wasn't at Crocus': unknown people threaten girl after niqab scandal in metro
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Internet users insult and threaten to kill a girl who was mistaken for a participant in a conflict in the Moscow metro. In the video, the girl stands up for a passenger in a niqab and insults those who are against covered girls. The haters attacked 22-year-old Anastasia (name changed), whose data was posted in one of the Telegram channels.
She’s a h8ter, they are h8ters, wouldn’t you like to be a h8ter, too?
The girl was threatened with murder and reprisal. At the same time, according to her relatives, Anastasia has nothing to do with the scandalous situation. Anastasia's mother Irina Petrovna (name changed) told Regnum News Agency about this. At the moment, the identity of the real participant in the conflict who insulted the Muscovite is still unknown.

On July 26, a video from the Moscow metro appeared on social networks, which captured a conflict between several passengers. The author of the video noticed a woman in a niqab in the passage to the Pushkinskaya station and decided to reprimand her.

"They blew up our metro like this. Here, in Moscow!" declared a vigilant Muscovite.

The woman in religious clothing did not like this attention, she reacted aggressively to the filming and tried to snatch the phone. After that, a verbal conflict ensued.

Soon two more girls intervened in the squabble, one of whom took the side of the woman in the niqab. One of them began to insult the metro passenger who dared to make a remark to the covered woman.

"I'm going to film you! Moscow TV! I'll f*** you at night," the girl in glasses commented on the situation.

The video of the incident was leaked online and went viral in Telegram news channels and media outlets, causing a scandal and public outcry. Internet users were outraged by the provocative behavior of the girl in glasses, who fiercely defended the passenger in the niqab.

In one of the radical news groups, where the situation was actively discussed, the contacts of 22-year-old Anastasia (name changed), an employee of one of the divisions of the company "Yandex", were posted in open access, stating that it was she who stood up for the woman in the niqab in the video. In the following hours, Anastasia was hit by a barrage of hate.

“It’s a pity she wasn’t at Crocus,” wrote one commentator.

The group's subscribers began writing insults and threats of physical violence to her en masse. Unable to bear the bullying, the girl deleted her personal Telegram channel and also blocked the ability to write and call her.

Journalists from Regnum News Agency tried to contact Anastasia to clarify the situation, but amid the online bullying, the girl refused any communication. Anastasia's mother confirmed that her daughter has nothing to do with the scandalous situation.

"My daughter was not in this metro, she has nothing to do with this situation! I know that the relevant security services are working on this incident in the metro now," Irina, the mother of the hounded girl, told IA Regnum.

During their own investigation, journalists studied Anastasia's social media pages, as well as videos with her participation, and compared them with the video from the metro. Upon closer examination, as well as a comparison of voice, movements and behavior, it is clear that these are two different people.

At the moment, the identities of the participants in the conflict are still unknown. The police also have to establish who leaked Anastasia's data to Telegram channels.

Earlier, Regnum news agency reported that a remark to a woman in a niqab in the Moscow metro resulted in a scandal.

French university rejects Gaza student over ‘hateful’ online posts against Jews
A conscience emerges — I am happily shocked.
[IsraelTimes] A top French university says it canceled the enrollment of a woman student from Gaza because of her social media posts that the country’s interior ministry called “hateful.”

Authorities did not release the content of the messages, but screenshots shown on social media indicated the young woman had reposted messages calling for the death of Jewish people and glorifying Adolf Hitler.

The woman had been offered a place at the Sciences Po Lille university following a recommendation by the French consulate in Jerusalem, the establishment said.

Sciences Po Lille said that after consultations with the education ministry and regional authorities, it “has decided to cancel this student’s planned registration at our establishment.”

Some of the posts “come into direct contradiction with the values upheld by Sciences Po Lille, which fights against all forms of racism, antisemitism and discrimination, as well as against any type of incitement to hatred, against any population whatsoever,” the university added in a post on X.

Accounts in the woman’s name have been closed.

French ministers have demanded an investigation into the case.

“A Gazan student making antisemitic remarks has no place in France,” says Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, who added that he had ordered an internal inquiry.

EU bid to suspend Israel from startup funding falls short of majority
A mix of selfishness and sense carries the day — this time.
[IsraelTimes] Proposal to partially bar Israel from Horizon program, in response to reports of starvation in Gaza, fails to win support from Germany and Italy but could be raised again soon

A European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
proposal to suspend Israel from a research funding program for startups failed to garner the necessary support for passage Tuesday after Germany and Italia balked.

The proposal, announced Monday, would partially suspend Israel’s participation in the bloc’s flagship Horizon research funding program. It came in response to calls from EU countries to push Israel to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, and is one of several avenues European countries are pursuing to pressure Israel in the face of reports of starvation in the enclave.

Multiple EU countries said last week that Israel was not living up to its commitments under an agreement with the European Union on increasing aid supplies to Gaza. They asked the European Commission, the bloc’s executive arm, to put concrete options on the table.

"While Israel has announced a daily humanitarian pause in Gaza fighting and has met some of its commitments under the common understanding on humanitarian aid and access, the situation remains severe," the European Commission said in a statement announcing the proposal.

The proposal would remove Israel from the Accelerator of the European Innovation Council, a pool of funding targeted at startups involved in fields including drone technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

But the proposal fell short of a majority in an EU meeting, reportedly after Germany and Italia asked for more time to examine it. To pass, the proposal would need approval from a qualified majority of EU countries to take effect — at least 15 of the EU’s 27 members, representing at least 65 percent of its population.

Countries also reportedly asked for time to see if the humanitarian situation in Gaza would improve. In recent days, in response to heavy international pressure over reports of widespread severe malnutrition in the enclave, Israel announced a series of measures to increase the flow of aid.

In a statement ahead of the meeting, Israel’s Foreign Ministry called the proposal "mistaken, regrettable, and unjustified."

"At a time when Israel is fighting Hamas
..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
’s jihadist terrorism, any such decision only serves to strengthen Hamas and therefore undermines the chances of reaching a ceasefire and a framework for the release of hostages," the statement said.

The proposal was not put to a formal vote on Tuesday, but had the support of the Netherlands, Ireland, La Belle France, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Portugal, Malta and Spain, according to EuroNews. Hungary, Bulgaria and Czechia opposed the proposal.

Berlin Judge Expresses
Machine translation — I don’t know if it’s Google’s or not.
[BZBerlin] Yasemin Acar (38) celebrates her conviction for attacks on the police as a victory - with booing supporters. Because: For chanting the extermination slogan of the terrorist organization Hamas, she gets an acquittal at the Tiergarten District Court.

Acar had already become publicly known in March 2022. At that time, she took care of war refugees from the Ukraine at the Berlin bus station, gave interviews. After the Hamas attack on Israel, her social media account changed: Acar defends the Islamists, is becoming more and more radicalized, and recently calls Germany a "fascist state". Since then, she has hardly been absent from a hate demonstration against Israel in Berlin, taking part in university occupations.

THE CHARGE
From 17. February to 24. July 2024 Acar is said to have publicly chanted "From the river to the sea, palestine will be free" several times. The Hetz-Parole is considered a hallmark of one of the parties or associations designated in § 86 (2) StGB: the terrorist organization Hamas, which is banned by the Ministry of the Interior. In addition, defamation, resistance, attack on police officers, attempted bodily injury (a shield throw).

Applause from 20 supporters in the hall (100 noises in the street). The judge reads police statements (15 volumes of files). She hands over X-rays. They are supposed to prove their injuries by the Berlin police: "These are my ribs!"

JUDGE ON THE VERDICT: "RESPECT FOR HOW YOU STAND UP"
120 daily rates of 15 euros each, i.e. 1800 euros penalty for resistance to and attack on police officers, slander, attempted bodily injury - but acquittal for the Hamas slogans! Judge Philipp Berkholz: "Most of them are not there at the demonstrations to support Hamas - I therefore do not consider this punishable."

Then the judge reveals: "Respect for how you are committed. They probably speak from the soul of some people. You stand by what you have done. In the future, try not to offer an attack surface.”

B.Z. confronted the court with the statements. A spokeswoman confirmed that Judge Acar had expressed his respect and referred to the "context". Berkholz meant Acar's commitment to the people in Gaza, with the criminal acts she had destroyed her image.

Over half of US Senate Democrats back failed measures to block arms sales to Israel
[IsraelTimes] The US Senate rejects a pair of resolutions introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders that were aimed at blocking over $675 million in arms sales to Israel, though a majority of Democrats vote against the weapons transfers for the first time.

Twenty-seven Democrats vote to block the sale of tens of thousands of assault rifles to Israel, compared to 17 who vote with Republicans to advance the transfer.

Twenty-four Democrats vote to block the sale of 5,000 heavy bombs and guidance kits to Israel, compared to 20 who vote with Republicans to advance the transfer.

Sanders has brought such resolutions to the Senate floor throughout the Gaza war, and Wednesday’s were sure to fail like the previous ones, as Republicans hold a majority of seats in the chamber and can defeat the measures without Democratic support.

But the two votes show how Democrats have grown increasingly disillusioned with Israel’s prosecution of its war against Hamas.

The last time Sanders brought a resolution to the floor in April, only 15 Democrats voted to try and block a weapons sale. That marked a drop from the previous attempt in November 2024, when 19 Democrats voted to oppose such a transfer.

In a statement celebrating the shifting attitudes toward Israel in the Democratic Party, Sanders says the majority of the caucus “voted to stop sending arms shipments to a Netanyahu government which has waged a horrific, immoral, and illegal war against the Palestinian people.”

“The tide is turning. The American people do not want to spend billions to starve children in Gaza,” he adds. “The Democrats are moving forward on this issue, and I look forward to Republican support in the near future.”

Mamdani’s pro-Palestinian views drive 83% of his voters, progressive group poll shows
[IsraelTimes] Survey released Tuesday by the pro-Palestinian IMEU Policy Project claims nearly 78% of primary voters also believe Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza

Zohran Mamdani’s advocacy for Paleostinians was a motivating factor for most of the New Yorkers who voted for him in the mayoral primary, new polling from a progressive research group suggests.

Most voters who showed up for Mamdani were inspired by his campaign to lower costs and tax the wealthy, according to the poll conducted by Data for Progress and released by the Institute for Middle East Understanding Policy Project on Tuesday. But their third-most motivating issue was "his support for Paleostinian rights," which drove 62% of his voters.

New Yorkers who never voted before, a surge of tens of thousands of people, were especially motivated by Mamdani’s pro-Paleostinian beliefs — 83% said it drove them to the voting booth.
How many of his new voters were Imaginary-Americans? How many of his longstanding voters? New York City has well over a century of experience with Machine Politics.
Mamdani, who is running to be New York’s first Moslem mayor and has said that Paleostinian rights are central to his identity, sharply criticized Israel’s offensive in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
during the primary race. When drilled repeatedly by journalists and opponents, he said that Israel was committing genocide against Paleostinians and that he supported the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.

As mayor, Mamdani said he would have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested upon setting foot in New York, citing the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for the Israeli prime minister — though it’s doubtful he’d be able to follow through, as the US is not an ICC member. His refusal to condemn the pro-Paleostinian protest slogan "Globalize the intifada" — a position he has since softened — drew allegations of antisemitism.

It turns out that many primary voters were on his side, according to the poll commissioned by IMEU Policy Project, a pro-Paleostinian advocacy nonprofit. It found that 78% agree that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, 79% support restricting weapons shipments to Israel and 63% say that Netanyahu should be arrested if he visits New York.
I seem to recall that the Democratic primary there had such low turnout that only about 8% of New York City voters actually pulled the lever for him, which admittedly says nothing about his overall popularity.
The poll of 531 primary voters conducted earlier this month has a margin of error of 4%.

The results add to those from a different poll released this month, by a conservative polling firm, that found about 30% of New York City voters said they were more likely to vote for Mamdani after learning his positions on Israel.

Mamdani’s victory signals a shift in the plates underlying the Democratic party, which has long treated support for Israel as a guarantee. In New York and across the United States, Americans’ opinion of Israel’s actions in Gaza has plummeted and a growing number of leaders, including rabbis and Jewish institutions, have reacted with horror to the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

"Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
cannot hope to win future elections if they fail to speak directly to the pain so many Americans are feeling," said Margaret DeReus, executive director of the IMEU Policy Project. "Not just the pain of dealing with rising costs and a more fragile safety net, but the real grief of seeing Israel commit grave atrocities against Paleostinians in Gaza using our tax dollars."

Some traditional pro-Israel Democrats, such as Jewish Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, have criticized Mamdani’s approach to rhetoric about Israel. But some have also been sharply critical of Israel over the last few days.

Former reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
mayor Rahm Emanuel, who is Jewish
…and though the son of an Israeli who spent many summers there as a child, he clearly turned his back entirely to the olde countrie…
and recently accused Mamdani of "not hearing a big constituency" of New Yorkers worried about antisemitism, took a stance against the Israeli government on Monday. In response to Netanyahu’s denial of starvation in Gaza, he said, "From a strategic standpoint, from a moral standpoint, and from a political standpoint, it’s fully bankrupt."

Another vocal pro-Israel Democrat, Rep. Ritchie Torres of New York, said in an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd on Sunday that Netanyahu had done "irreparable damage" to Israel’s relationship with Democrats in the United States. He added that support for the alliance between the United States and Israel was "eroding," and anyone who denied that was "ignoring the numbers."

Anti-Israel UN rapporteur Albanese bemoans effects of US sanctions on her life
[IsraelTimes] Anti-Israel UN rapporteur on Palestinian rights Francesca Albanese, who was sanctioned by the US earlier this month for “political and economic warfare” against the US and Israel, bemoans the effects of the sanctions.

Albanese, an outspoken critic of Israel who has been accused of antisemitic and pro-terror rhetoric, says the sanctions will have serious impacts on her life and work.

“It’s very serious to be on the list of the people sanctioned by the US,” Albanese tells The Associated Press in Rome, adding that individuals sanctioned by the US cannot have financial interactions or credit cards with any American bank.

When used in “a political way,” she says the sanctions “are harmful, dangerous.”

“My daughter is American. I’ve been living in the US, and I have some assets there. So of course, it’s going to harm me,” Albanese says. “What can I do? I did everything I did in good faith, and knowing that, my commitment to justice is more important than personal interests.”

Following France and UK, Canada says it will recognize Palestinian state in September
[IsraelTimes] Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Wednesday that Canada will recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in September, in a fresh diplomatic blow to Israel as it faces increasingly intensifying international criticism over the war in Gaza.

He said the move was “predicated on the Palestinian Authority’s commitment to much-needed reforms” including elections in 2026, anti-corruption measures, and a demilitarized Palestinian state.
In other words, all of the conditions for action will be executed long after Canada has recognized the PA as a legitimate state, with all that entails. Why, then, would the PA feel any need to exert itself a year or more later to fulfill the terms?
Carney stressed he was “not in any way or shape minimizing that scale of that task.”

“Clearly that’s not a possibility in the near term,” the prime minister said, adding that Canada has joined the efforts of other states to “preserve the possibility of a two state solution.”

“Much has to happen before a democratic viable state is established,” he added.

Canada had long stated it would only recognize a Palestinian state at the conclusion of peace talks with Israel. But Carney said the reality on the ground, including the mounting hunger crisis in Gaza, meant “the prospect of a Palestinian state is literally receding before our eyes.”

Trump hints at blowing up Canada trade talks over Palestine recognition

[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump criticizes Canada for announcing it will recognize a Palestinian state, linking the issue to efforts to negotiate a trade agreement with America’s northern neighbor for the first time.

“Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh’ Canada!!!” Trump writes in one of several Truth Social posts on trade that he has fired off since midnight.

The post appears to be a departure from previous remarks he has made on the decisions by the UK and France to recognize a Palestinian state, in which he noted that he disagreed with the moves, which would “reward” Hamas, but would not seek to influence their decisions.

It also seems to be the first time that Trump has signaled at retribution for countries who take the step, wielding one of his most powerful potential levers in in international relations.

The US is currently negotiating trade deals with a host of countries seeking to avoid steep tariffs on entry to the US market. Deals with the EU and Britain had been announced prior to their Palestine announcements.

Canada is one of the US’s largest trading partners and reaching a deal is seen as a top priority in Ottawa.

24 Raparin migrants return to Kurdistan Region after month-long detention in Libya
[Rudaw] Twenty-four individuals from the Raparin administration in Sulaimani province, who had embarked on the perilous sea journey to reach Europe, have been returned to the Kurdistan Region after being detained for a month in Libya.

In an interview with Rudaw on Monday, Bahroz Ali, one of the returnees, described the harsh conditions they endured stating that there were 24 people from the Kurdistan Region "held in four very small cells," each measuring "two meters long and one meter wide."

Another returnee, Daniyar Ali, said the group had been "deceived by the smuggler." He explained that "after we were arrested [in Libya], he never returned or checked on our situation, even though we had paid him three thousand dollars [each] to reach Libya."

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the pastor had finally been wrestled from the pulpit.
Y'got the wrong guy! he yelled just before Sergeant Malone's billy club landed...

Abdullah Idris, another survivor, recalled the terrible treatment they faced, remarking, "We were in really bad conditions. We were tortured and mentally abused. They treated us terribly," he said, indirectly referring to their Libyan authorities.

In early July, Rudaw reported on the growing number of young people from the Raparin administration turning to the Libya-Italia sea route to reach Europe, with some reportedly paying smugglers up to $17,000 each.

Ranj Pishdari, a Europe-based migrant rights activist, then told Rudaw that more than 300 young people leave weekly through this route, which has become preferred over the traditional The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
-Greece corridor due to increased border restrictions and longer crossing times.

Bakr Ali, head of the Association of Returned Refugees (ARR), explained that the Libya-Italia route is more attractive because the sea crossing takes roughly eight hours, compared to the 72-hour journey from Greece.

"Smugglers charge nearly $17,000 per person, and not all of that goes directly to them," Ali said, adding that a significant portion of the money is paid to Libyan militia groups who control the coast and do not allow any migrants colonists to depart without payment.

Rudaw also learned that one of the most influential smugglers operating in Libya is a Kurd from Raparin, identified by the initials H.K. Though based in Europe, he has temporarily relocated to Libya to oversee smuggling operations and organize sea crossings for Kurdish migrants colonists.

Officials and civil society groups in Raparin described the migration trend as an "exodus," highlighting the scale of the issue. They emphasize that the trend is driven largely by high unemployment and limited economic opportunities in the region.

Hostage forum condemns ‘dangerous’ choice to recognize Palestinian state before hostages are freed
When Israel’s left criticizes everyone else’s left:
[IsraelTimes] The Hostages and Missing Families Forum condemns the growing trend of European countries recognizing a Palestinian state, arguing that such diplomatic initiatives endanger the hostages.

“Recognizing a Palestinian state while 50 hostages remain trapped in Hamas tunnels amounts to rewarding terrorism. Such recognition is not a step toward peace, but rather a clear violation of international law and a dangerous moral and political failure that legitimizes horrific war crimes,” declares the group, which represents the families of the hostages.

“The abduction of men, women, and children, who are being held against their will in tunnels while subjected to starvation and physical and psychological abuse, cannot and should not serve as the foundation for establishing a state.”

“If the international community truly desires peace, it must join US efforts by demanding first the release of all hostages, followed by an end to the fighting,” the forum continues.

“Recognition of a Palestinian state before the hostages are returned will be remembered throughout history as validating terrorism as a legitimate pathway to political goals,” it adds. “The essential first step toward ensuring a better future for all peoples must be the release of all hostages through a single, comprehensive deal.”

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Tuesday that the UK could recognize a Palestinian state in September unless Israel improves the situation in Gaza and takes steps toward peace.

France had announced the same days earlier, although without any preconditions, and Starmer’s announcement prompted Malta to follow suit.

Since October 7, Norway, Spain, Ireland and Slovenia have all recognized Palestine.

The UK has rebuffed criticism, including by US President Donald Trump, that it is rewarding Hamas.

Israel calls on more nations to airdrop aid into Gaza
[IsraelTimes] As Arab partners conduct airdrops of humanitarian aid into Gaza, the Prime Minister’s Office urges more countries to join the effort.

“Hamas stole food from its own people,” writes the PMO on X. “Israel acted. We airdropped aid to Gazan civilians, and we called on other nations to join us. Some have already done so.”

“We secured the skies, secured the drops, and made sure the food got through,” the PMO continues. “Any country that truly wants to help is welcome to join us.”

On Sunday, Israel announced new humanitarian aid measures in Gaza after mounting criticism, including from close allies.

Earlier, the IDF said that the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt airdropped 32 aid packages today.

Hundreds protest in Jerusalem, calling to push forward with Gaza war until Hamas defeated
[IsraelTimes] Hundreds of protesters calling for the continuation of Israel’s war in Gaza march to the Knesset in Jerusalem. They are led by wounded soldiers, alongside bereaved families of soldiers and hostage families from the right-wing Tikvah Forum.

“We’ve come to deliver a clear message: there is no other way, Hamas must be defeated. Only victory will bring true security to the residents of the south, the Gaza border communities, and the citizens of Israel,” declares Lt. Col. Itamar Eitam, a reservist brigade commander, outside Shaare Zedek Hospital before the march sets out to the Knesset.

“The prices we paid, with our limbs, the scars we bear, the blood of our comrades, these cannot be wasted with retreats. It is our duty to bring the hostages home and crush Hamas,” he continues.

Ofir Engelsman, a soldier who lost his leg in a car-ramming attack in Hebron, tells the crowd that he would have “been willing to lose the other if he knew it would lead to total victory.”

“This is my demand of the prime minister: to finish this war to the end. To erase Hamas and achieve victory,” he says.

Police do not report any arrests over the course of today’s march.

Washington Post lists names of 18,500 Palestinian children said killed in Gaza war
Out of claimed 60,000 dead.
[IsraelTimes] The Washington Post publishes the names and ages of 18,500 Palestinian children who have been killed in Gaza since Hamas’s October 7 onslaught almost 22 months ago.

The Post takes the numbers from Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, which says that it relies on hospital and morgue records, vetted reports from victims’ families and reliable media outlets to document each death. The ministry also presents the ID numbers of every single Palestinian it says has been killed in the war.

Israel argues that the ministry is an arm of Hamas that disseminates propaganda that can’t be trusted, though it has not provided alternative figures for Gaza deaths, beyond rough estimates for how many terror operatives it says it has killed. The current figure, released in January, is 20,000. Hamas says 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in total.

“Some were killed in their beds. Others, while playing. Many were buried before they learned to walk. Gaza is the most dangerous place in the world to be a child, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF),” the Post writes.

The Post lists those up to age 17.

A breakdown of the figures indicates that 915 of the Palestinian children documented were killed before their first birthday. Each age year between 0 and 12 had at least 800 children who were killed. There were roughly 1,000 children killed for each of the ages between 13 and 17.

Would the WaPo also take the time to list the 50+ years of constant attacks, murders, kidnappings, launched from Gaza/Palestine on Israel?

That Gaza/Palestine knowingly allowed these terrorist groups to build-up, launch and hid among around their civilian centers, schools, hospitals and yes even in the cellars of their family homes?

Simply put, just looking at just the Oct 7th attack build-up and the months it would have taken prepare.

Hamas called on to relinquish power in Gaza and end conflict
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Seventeen states, including members of the Arab League (including Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan), as well as the European Union, have expressed support for a document that calls on Hamas to relinquish power in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the AFP agency.

The statement, agreed upon at the UN conference to resume the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, calls for an end to Hamas rule in Gaza and the transfer of weapons to the Palestinian Authority, which governs the West Bank.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, who represented France and Saudi Arabia at the conference, stressed that Arab and Middle Eastern countries condemned Hamas and the events of October 7, 2023 for the first time, calling for the disarmament of the organization, its exclusion from the Palestinian governance system, and an intention to normalize relations with Israel in the future.

In addition, Western countries supported the idea of deploying foreign forces in the Gaza Strip to stabilize the situation after the end of the war.

It is noted that the United States and Israel did not participate in the conference.

On July 24, Hamas sent a response to the ceasefire and hostage release proposal. The previous version of the response, dated July 22, was not even transmitted to Israel and the US, and the mediators rejected it as “unacceptable” because the parties had not agreed on the withdrawal line for Israeli troops.

On July 25, the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov indicated that Moscow supports the UN Security Council resolutions on the Palestine issue, considering them the only way to resolve the conflict in the Middle East.

[IsraelTimes] The US Treasury Department announced fresh sanctions on over 115 Iran-linked individuals, entities and vessels, in a sign the Trump administration is doubling down on its “maximum pressure” campaign after bombing Tehran’s key nuclear sites in June.

The sanctions broadly target the shipping interests of Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani, the son of Ali Shamkhani, who is himself an adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The US Treasury described the move as the most significant Iran-related sanctions action since 2018, during President Donald Trump’s first administration.

According to Treasury, Shamkhani controls a vast network of container ships and tankers through a complex web of intermediaries that sell Iranian and Russian oil and other goods throughout the world.

Treasury accused Shamkhani of using personal connections and corruption in Tehran to generate tens of billions of dollars in profits, much of which is used to prop up the Iranian regime.

Overall, the new sanctions target 15 shipping firms, 52 vessels, 12 individuals, and 53 entities involved in sanctions evasion in 17 countries, ranging from Panama to Italy to Hong Kong.

A US official says the new move would make it “much more difficult” for Iran to sell its oil, but added that the administration did not anticipate any sustained disruption to global oil markets.

Iran demands US pay compensation for war damage before nuke talks
[IsraelTimes] Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says he has exchanged messages with US envoy Steve Witkoff on restarting nuclear talks, telling the Americans that Tehran expects to be compensated for damage incurred in bombing attacks against its nuclear facilities ahead of negotiations, as it seeks “real confidence-building measures.”

“They should explain why they attacked us in the middle of… negotiations, and they have to ensure that they are not going to repeat that [during future talks],” he is quoted telling the Financial Times from Tehran. “And they have to compensate [Iran for] the damage that they have done.”

Nonetheless, Araghchi sounds an upbeat note on the prospect of talks aimed at curbing the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

“The road to negotiation is narrow but it’s not impossible. I need to convince my hierarchy that if we go for negotiation, the other side is coming with real determination for a win-win deal,” he is quoted saying.

However, he holds firm to Iran’s demand that it maintain nuclear enrichment capacity, a major sticking point in talks that collapsed when the US joined Israel’s military campaign against Iran last month.

“With zero enrichment, we don’t have a thing,” he says, noting that many in Tehran oppose even talking to the US over the issue. ““People are telling me, ‘Don’t waste your time anymore, don’t be cheated by them . . . if they come to negotiations it’s only a cover-up for their other intentions.’”

In the interview, Araghchi acknowledges that among the sites attacked during the 12-day conflict was a new enrichment plant near Isfahan, marking the first time an official in Iran has admitted the facility was hit. However, he denies enrichment was taking place at the site at the time.

Rojava Kurds fear Kurdish forces integration with Syria state amid surge in minority violence
[Rudaw] The recent surge of sectarian violence in Syria’s Druze south and Alawite coastal areas, involving pro-Damascus forces, is raising alarm among Kurds in northeast Syria (Rojava), who fear similar unrest if a March deal with Damascus to integrate the Kurdish enclave’s civil and military institutions moves forward.

Deadly festivities erupted on July 13 in Syria’s Druze-majority Suwayda province between Druze fighters and Bedouin tribes.

United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen reported Monday that the violence began with "mutual kidnappings," quickly escalating into armed conflict. Government security forces deployed to de-escalate the situation were "attacked" by Druze groups, Pedersen said, while also noting "extremely grave reports of serious violations by security forces against Druze civilians."

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported a corpse count of 1,120 by July 20 from the Suwayda violence. A fragile ceasefire is currently in place, with approximately 175,000 people displaced, the UN official said.

Earlier in March, violence broke out in the Alawite-majority coastal regions after loyalists of ousted dictator Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Scourge of Qusayr...
attacked security forces aligned with Syria’s interim leadership. SOHR then-reported about 1,700 deaths - mostly Alawite civilians - with many casualties attributed to government or pro-government forces.

KURDISH CONCERNS
In a Tuesday interview with Rudaw, a bigwig from the Kurdish National Council (ENKS/KNC) - a major opposition coalition in Rojava - warned "big danger" is posed ahead of Kurds.

Luqman Oso, who heads ENKS office in Damascus, said the violence in Suwayda reflects the sectarianism "created by sectarian militias" in Syria. "This is a danger to the Kurdish people," Oso warned, adding that "there must be Kurdish forces and we must protect our people and land in Syria."

In early March, Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commander Mazloum Abdi signed an agreement to integrate all civil and military institutions in Rojava under the Syrian state. The SDF serves as the de facto army of Rojava.

The Kurdish-led Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES), which governs Rojava, has been holding talks with Syria’s interim government over the integration - including the future of the SDF.
Senior DAANES official Elham Ahmad told Rudaw last week that integrating the SDF into Syrian state institutions remains "up for discussions," and will not simply involve surrendering weapons. "It won’t be, ’bring all these fighters you have and hand them over and thank you,’" she said.

Ahmad emphasized that Rojava’s interpretation of integration differs from Damascus’s, asserting that the interim government "must recognize the will" of the people of Rojava.

Shalal Gado, ENKS leadership member in Erbil, told Rudaw on Tuesday that the SDF "will not lay down arms, this was not in the [March] agreement." He said the SDF may become part of the Syrian army, but added, "How will they integrate? As a bloc or as individuals?" Gado suggested the SDF is more likely to join as a bloc.

REFUGEES REACT
Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella opened her mouth at precisely the wrong moment...
several Rojava refugees in Erbil expressed concern to Rudaw on Tuesday about reports suggesting the SDF may disarm.

Fathi Hussein, a refugee from Rojava living in Qushtapa camp, 25 kilometers south of Erbil, said, "What happened to the Alawites and the Druze will be done to the Kurds as well - and even worse." He added that the SDF "cannot surrender weapons" and should only integrate in a way that preserves their unique identity and role.

Another refugee at the camp, Sulaiman Khalil, said the SDF "should not lay down arms" until a final agreement is reached between Damascus and Rojava under the Abdi-Sharaa deal.

Of note, SDF chief Abdi on Tuesday stated that communication with the Syrian government is ongoing, and voiced support for "the unity of Syria with one army and one flag," with centralization of some sovereign institutions in Damascus. Speaking to Saudi state-owned al Arabiya, he emphasized that the SDF seeks to "become part of a new Syrian army" through a political solution that secures their constitutional rights.

UN envoy Pedersen on Monday acknowledged ongoing "difficulties" in implementing the Abdi-Sharaa agreement, urging both sides to compromise and "build trust and confidence" to achieve the shared goal of full implementation by the end of the year. He noted that preparations are underway for a high-level meeting between both sides in Gay Paree to advance the talks.

US repatriates child from Rojava ISIS detention camp
[Rudaw] An American child who spent their entire life inside a displacement camp for individuals linked to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) in northeast Syria (Rojava) was brought home last week, the State Department announced Tuesday, urging other countries to follow suit for their nationals.

"Last week the United States repatriated a U.S. citizen minor from a displaced persons camp in northeast Syria for unification with the child's family," the State Department said in a statement."Our interagency efforts have given this child, who has known nothing of life outside of the camps, a future free from the influence and dangers of ISIS terrorism."

Thousands of individuals with suspected ISIS ties are held in al-Hol and Roj camps, both located in Rojava’s Hasaka province and controlled by the Kurdish-led and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). al-Hol is the larger of the two, housing 34,927 people as of April. Of these, 15,681 were Iraqis, 15,861 Syrians, and 6,385 foreigners, according to data obtained by Rudaw English.

The SDF serves as the de facto military of Rojava and is the main local partner of the US-led international anti-ISIS coalition.

Around 30,000 people from over 70 countries remain in the two camps, most of them children under the age of 12, the State Department said, stressing that "they deserve a chance at life outside the camps."

Al-Hol has become notorious for its poor conditions and has been described as a breeding ground for terrorism. Since ISIS’s territorial defeat in 2019, tens of thousands of people linked to the group - mostly Iraqis and Syrians - have been held there, alongside others from across the world who traveled to join the jihadists’ so-called caliphate.

Iraq has been repatriating its citizens from the camps in groups and providing rehabilitation. Many other countries, however, remain reluctant to take back their nationals over fears of bad boy ideology spreading at home.
