4 shot, 2 fatally, in 7-hour, broad-daylight stretch of violence in the Bronx: cops
[NYPOST] Four men were shot — two of them fatally — during a violent mostly peaceful seven-hour, broad-daylight stretch in the Bronx Tuesday, cops said.

The mayhem began around 8:10 a.m. when a 32-year-old man was shot in the back outside an apartment building on Anthony Avenue near Mount Hope Place, cops said.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he departed this vale of tears, authorities said.

The motive for the deadly shooting is unclear.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD hours later captures the still-at-large suspect pacing around in the lobby with his hood pulled up over his head before vanishing from view.

He is described as about 50 years old with a dark complexion and medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and blue sneakers.

The violence continued around 1:10 p.m. outside a public housing building on Croes Avenue near Seward Avenue, part of NYCHA's Sack Wern development, cops said.

A 34-year-old man was shot once in the chest, and rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he too was pronounced dead, cops said.

Two male suspects fled on foot, heading north on Croes Avenue.

One was last seen wearing a black or gray hoodie, black pants, and black Jordan sneakers, police sources said.

The second wore a gray hoodie, black pants and a gray and red backpack with a shark mouth graphic at the bottom.

The motive for the violence is unclear, but sources described the victim as a gang member with almost 40 arrests on his record.

Then around 2:35 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the ankle at East Tremont and Bryant avenues in the West Farms neighborhood, police said.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two male perpetrators expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after the bullets flew, one wearing all black, cops and sources said.

About an hour later, around 3:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was blasted multiple times in the leg on Adams Place near East 182nd Street in Belmont, authorities said.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was also listed in stable, pH balanced condition.

The suspect, last seen wearing a green hoodie and gray sweatpants, expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, sources said.

The motives for the later pair of shootings also remain under investigation.

The flurry of gunfire follows a violent mostly peaceful weekend in the northernmost borough — notably including the wild Saturday shooting battle that left a 17-year-old girl, an innocent bystander, at death's door, killed a 32-year-old man, and injured three others inside Haffen Park, according to authorities.

Two young men and two teen boys, 16 and 17, all face murder charges in that case.

However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
the latest NYPD statistics reveal a decline in both murders and shootings so far this year in the Bronx.

As of Sunday, 67 murders had been reported in the Bronx — about a 15 percent decline from the 79 tallied during the same period in 2024.

And during the same period, 178 shootings with 215 victims were reported in the borough, down from 220 incidents with 281 victims last year, the statistics show.

Sandstorm causes damage to Phoenix airport in the US
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A sandstorm hit the city of Phoenix in the American state of Arizona, damaging the local Sky Harbor International Airport. This was reported on August 26 by The New York Times.

It is noted that the storms passed through central Arizona on the evening of August 25. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) banned takeoffs and landings at the airport for an hour at about 18:30 (04:30 Moscow time, August 26), and after the ban was lifted, flights were delayed for 15-30 minutes.

A dust storm hit the town of Black Canyon, north of Phoenix, around 7 p.m. local time on Aug. 25 (5 a.m. Moscow time on Aug. 26), the National Weather Service said. The agency urged drivers to avoid the storm, warning of poor visibility and strong winds exceeding 50 mph (80 km/h). The warning was later lifted.

On April 30, Egyptian Streets reported that a sandstorm (hamaseen) had hit northwest Egypt, turning the sky bright orange and blanketing cities including Sallum, parts of Greater Cairo, and towns along the Suez Canal with thick clouds of dust. Hot southwesterly winds were blowing at speeds of up to 80 km/h, prompting local authorities to urge residents, especially children, the elderly, and people with respiratory illnesses, to stay indoors unless necessary, keep windows and doors closed, and use masks and goggles when going out.

It was specified that such spring sandstorms occur annually, bringing dry winds with low humidity and sharp temperature changes, the speed of which sometimes reaches 140 km/h.

Egypt Deploying Troops to Somalia Amid Rising Tensions With Ethiopia over Nile dam
[Garowe] Egypt has begun taking steps to apply military pressure on Æthiopia by deepening its security cooperation with Somalia, marking a significant shift in the Horn of Africa region's geopolitical dynamics.

The move comes as Egypt formally joins the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
’s Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), with Egyptian troops expected to be deployed in the regions of Hiiraan, Lower Shabelle, and Gedo, according to Somali government sources.

Egypt and Æthiopia have long been locked in a bitter dispute over the Grand Æthiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), which Addis Ababa is constructing on the Nile River. Cairo views the project as an existential threat to its water supply, which is heavily dependent on the Nile.

Tensions between Somalia and Æthiopia have also escalated in recent months following a controversial agreement between Æthiopia and the breakaway region of Somaliland
...Republic of Somaliland is an unrecognised sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, recognised internationally as a de jure part of Somalia. It is located in the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden with approximately 5.7 million residents as of 2021. The capital and largest city is Hargeisa. The government regards itself as the successor state to British Somaliland, which united from 1960 to 1991 with the Trust Territory of Somaliland (the former Italian Somaliland) to form the Somali Republic. Under the Siad Barre regime, Somaliadestroyed ninety percent of Hargeisa Per international law, once you're in, you gotta stay in, no matter how bad it smells....
. Egypt strongly backed Somalia’s rejection of the deal, paving the way for a new level of military and security cooperation between Cairo and Mogadishu.

"The presence of Egyptian forces in Somalia adds both political and military pressure on Æthiopia," said regional political analysts, who note that the growing rift over Nile waters is increasingly spilling into broader regional alliances.

While Somali officials insist the Egyptian deployment is solely to assist in counterterrorism operations against al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
and to support stabilization efforts, the move is widely seen as part of a broader strategy by Egypt to counter Æthiopian influence in the region.

The Egyptian-Somali alignment is expected to deepen in the coming months as both nations formalize defense and intelligence cooperation.

Æthiopia has yet to officially respond to the Egyptian troop deployment, but observers expect tensions in the Horn of Africa to intensify as regional power rivalries deepen.

The GERD dispute, once confined to diplomatic arenas, is now extending into the military and political spheres, with Egypt seeking new partnerships across Æthiopia’s borders — and Somalia emerging as a key player in that strategy.

Denmark summons top US diplomat over alleged Greenland influence operation
[BBC] Denmark's foreign minister has summoned the top US diplomat in Copenhagen, following a report that American citizens have been conducting covert operations in Greenland.

Denmark's public broadcaster DR quoted sources as saying the aim was to infiltrate Greenland's society and promote its secession from Denmark to the US, although it was unable to clarify who the men were working for.

Danish intelligence warned Greenland was being targeted by "various kinds of influence campaigns".

Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said "any attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the Kingdom [of Denmark] will of course be unacceptable", and the US charge d'affaires had been summoned in that light.

The BBC has approached the US embassy and the state department for comment.

However, US President Trump has said several times he wants to annex Greenland, a semi-autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Vice-President JD Vance has accused Copenhagen of underinvesting in the territory.

On a visit to Greenland a few months ago, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen warned the US that "you cannot annex another country".

Denmark's foreign minister said in a statement to the BBC that the government was "aware that foreign actors continue to show an interest in Greenland and its position in the Kingdom of Denmark".

"It is therefore not surprising if we experience outside attempts to influence the future of the Kingdom in the time ahead," he added.

Denmark is a member of Nato and the European Union and has long seen the US as one of its closest allies, and Danes have been shocked by Trump's determination to control its semi-autonomous territory. The US president said this year he would not rule out seizing it by force.

Politician Melenchon: a motion to remove Macron from power will be submitted to parliament
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The left-wing party "Unbowed France"
…La France Insoumise (also translated as "Unsubmissive France" or "Rebellious France") is a democratic eco-socialist, left-wing populist political party launched in 2016 by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and former co-president of the Left Party (PG). They won 17 seats in the National Assembly in 2017, but only six seats two years later. They plan a national strike against the 2026 budget in September…
intends to submit to parliament on September 23 a proposal to remove the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron from power. This was announced on August 26 by the leader of the political force Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

"A year ago, we already raised the question of the president's resignation. Now we will do it again on September 23 and, in addition to the vote of no confidence, we will introduce a motion to remove Macron from power," he said on France Inter radio.

At the same time, Mélenchon expressed the opinion that a vote of no confidence would lose its meaning by that time, since the French government would already have fallen.

On September 17, 2024, members of the left-wing party "France Insoumise" sent a resolution to impeach Macron after the head of state decided not to invite the left to the country's new government, despite their coalition's victory in the parliamentary elections. The proposal concerns the article of the French constitution that provides for the possibility of impeachment if the president violates his duties.

At that time, 81 deputies from the New Popular Front, including 72 representatives of Unbowed France, expressed support for the resolution on Macron's impeachment. In addition, the Greens and a number of members of the Left Democrats and Republicans group were ready to approve the initiative.

However, in early October 2024, the French legislative commission of the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) rejected the proposal to impeach Macron. Only 15 deputies supported the initiative, while another 54 lawmakers voted against.

Fifth Column
Chinese doctor accused of stealing confidential US-funded cancer research back to China
[NYPOST] A Chinese doctor was busted at a Texas airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle US-funded cancer research back to his home country — and could face federal charges for the brazen theft.

Yunhai Li, 35, was nabbed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston
...a city in Texas, named after Sam Houston, who would drop deader than he is now if he could see how it turned out...
on July 9 after border patrol discovered the sensitive confidential medical records on his laptop during an inspection ahead of his flight to China, the Harris County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.

The Chinese national, who was employed as a researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2022, was reportedly working on a vaccine to prevent breast cancer from spreading before abruptly quitting on July 1 and uploading the nearly-completed research to a Chinese server on his computer.

''Houston is proudly home to some of the most groundbreaking medical institutions in the world — publicly funded centers that are saving lives each day thanks to their innovative research,'' District Attorney Sean Terre said in a statement.

''We have zero tolerance for any attempts that hurt our nation and our community's ability to pioneer critical medical breakthroughs.''

Prosecutors said Li uploaded his research to his personal Google Drive while employed at the cancer center, and when caught by the institution, deleted the files and proved he had done so.

But Li — whose potentially life-changing work was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense — was also being paid by Chinese entities and had shared his files to a similar drive on a Chinese server called Baidu, court documents showed, Fox 26 reported.

Court records show he was secretly conducting research for Chongqing Medical University while employed and in the US on a non-immigrant scholar exchange visa — and never disclosed the conflict of interest despite signing a non-disclosure form that he had no foreign research ties or funding.

Bill Gates makes secret move at $77 billion foundation that could have huge political implications
Shying away from what the DOGE investigations have revealed about USAID and Secretary Kennedy’s revelations about COVID vaccine research. The legal liability there must be terrifying for someone who hasn’t had to live on a budget since he was at Harvard.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Bill Gates has quietly stopped providing funds from his $77 billion foundation to a group that supports woke causes and Democratic candidates.

The Gates Foundation decided in late June to stop funding grants to nonprofits managed by Washington DC-based Arabella Advisors, according to an internal foundation announcement obtained by the New York Times.

Executives at the foundation, which generally supports health initiatives around the world, said it would not make any new investments with 'Arabella-related entities,' would not extend any existing grants to the for-profit consulting firm and would even try to 'pursue early exits' from a few long-term investments.

They cited a desire to engage more directly with grant recipients and cut back on the use of intermediaries as the reason for the change.

'Teams are increasingly working directly with programmatic partners - organizations that are deeply embedded in the communities we serve and [are] closely aligned with our mission,' the June 24 announcement said.

'As we look ahead, this is a chance to build deeper, more durable relationships with those partners - and to reinforce the kind of legacy we want to leave behind.'

A spokesperson for the Gates Foundation also claimed in a statement to the Times that its move to cut ties with Arabella was 'a business decision that reflects our regular strategic assessments and partnerships.'

But the change comes amid increased scrutiny of Arabella for its 'dark money' funds that support Democrats and progressive causes, as Gates' desire to protect the charity he founded and led for nearly three decades.

But will DC have the kahunas to take on that challenge.

Appalling allegations made against Chinese doctor working at Houston hospital
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Chinese cancer doctor has been accused of trying to steal sensitive research from an American medical lab and take it back to his home country.

Yunhai Li, 35, was stopped by customs officials at Houston Airport on July 9 as he tried to board a flight back to China.

On his laptop, investigators found research on a breast cancer vaccine he was developing.

Li was released at the time, before he was arrested Friday.

The 35-year-old has now been charged with theft of trade secrets, a felony, and tampering with a government record, the Harris County District Attorney's Office said.

Li entered the US on a scholar visa and had been working at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Research lab in Houston as a postdoctoral fellow since 2022.

The vaccine research was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense, technically making Li a government employee.

Li signed a non-disclosure agreement when he joined the lab and said he didn't have foreign research affiliations or funding.

But, according to the affidavit, he was receiving funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and secretly doing research for Chongqing Medical University.

Following his arrest, Li confessed in a sworn statement to police that he stole the research because he felt his work was 'going to waste', according to the affidavit.

He insisted the research 'is a product of my efforts over the last three years. I believe I have a right to possess and retain this data'.

Li said he downloaded 90 gigabytes of research data when the project was about 70 percent complete, and uploaded it to Chinese cloud service Baidu.

When administrators at the Houston lab confronted him, he convinced them he had deleted the data while concealing it on the Baidu server.

The rogue researcher then abruptly quit on July 1 and began preparing to go back to China to continue the project at Chongqing Medical University.

Yunhai Li, 35, is accused of trying to steal sensitive research from an American medical lab and flee the country

He claimed his boss there had contacted the NIH and MD Anderson administrators on his behalf to get permission for him to continue the project in China, but hadn't heard back.

Li wrote that he feared the request would be denied, so he stole the data.

'Li added that he was hoping that CBP would not discover this information on his electronics,' the affidavit said.

Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare said Li could face further charges.

The two existing counts were to stop him fleeing to China, he said.

'We were able to detain him as he was trying to get on a flight to China,' he said.

'There was a pretty good chance that he was going to get deported or leave the country - so we needed to file something.

'We needed to make sure that he was going to stay here, the information was going to stay here, and he was going to be held accountable.

'We're not done with the investigation in this case. We know we have enough to get past probable cause, but we have a lot of avenues we have to go down to make sure that everyone involved is held accountable.'

The affidavit revealed Li is also under federal investigation and could face federal charges of wire fraud, theft of federal funds and abuse of official capacity.

Li faces two to 10 years in prison and fines up to $10,000 for the state felony charge alone and another year for the misdemeanor charge.

He was released on $5,000 bail and ordered to surrender his passport.

MD Anderson said it was 'working with relevant authorities'.

Government Corruption
Jackson Hole's Parting Advice: Accept Even More Migrants To Offset Demographic Collapse, Or Else
[ZERO] It was first tried in Europe and it was a catastrophic failure as millions of Syrian refugees and various radicalized Islamist overran the continent, sparking a historic right-wing backlash. It was then tried in the US and the record flood of illegal aliens at the southern border cost the Democrats the 2024 election. And now, with the entire world on edge against the growing wave of migrant aliens originating from Africa and the Middle East, the world's money printing megabrains at Jackson Hole have decided that third time will be the charm.
The globalist economic Ponzi Schemes must continue or else we will lose our 'do nothing' government jobs.
While doing everything in their power to avoid discussing the Lisa Cook elephant in the room (and literally kicking out anyone who dared to ask how someone who is i) either a criminal or ii) has no idea how to fill out a mortgage is allowed to set the price of the world's reserve currency) top central bankers gathered at Jackson Hole warned that the world’s largest economies will lack the workers they need to power growth and keep prices stable in the coming decades unless they attract more foreigners. And this calculus doesn't even include the hundreds of millions of jobs that will be lost to hallucinating chatbots.

Speaking at an annual gathering of leading policymakers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the heads of the Bank of Japan, European Central Bank and Bank of England all sought to highlight the challenge to economic growth posed by ageing populations. The BOJ's Kazuo Ueda told the Kansas City Federal Reserve’s annual symposium that his country’s rapidly ageing society had made labor shortages one of the country’s "most pressing" economic issues. Of course, far be it for Japan - notoriously racist and militantly hostile to gaijin foreigners - to actually go ahead and accept some of the millions of Guatemalan "refugees" who voted for Kamala in the 2024 US election. But "at least" he is throwing out rubberstamped by his globalist overlords now that they can no longer congregate in Davos where WEF fuhrer Klaus Schwab is dealing with the legal fallout from a life of (alleged) sexual harassment.

While foreign workers accounted for just 3% of the labor force in Japan, Ueda said, they had been responsible for half of the recent rise in labor force growth. "Further increases will surely require a broader discussion," he said. Only problem with that is that Japan, which is the opposite of an immigrant nation, literally treats foreign workers and asylum seekers as an inferior class of humans.
