Dagestan resident receives prison deferment after selling child
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A court in Makhachkala sentenced a resident of Dagestan to a real term, finding her guilty of selling her newborn daughter. The woman received a deferred sentence until her first child turns 14.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, in April a criminal case was opened against two residents of Dagestan, one of whom, according to the investigation,  sold her own newborn child to the other for 300 thousand rubles. In May the criminal case was transferred to court.

According to the investigation, in January, a 25-year-old resident of Dagestan gave birth to a girl. Upon discharge from the maternity hospital, by prior agreement, she handed the child over to a resident of Makhachkala for a monetary reward.

The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala has sentenced a resident of Dagestan accused of selling a newborn child, the Investigative Committee of Dagestan reported today.

The court found her guilty of handing over the child to a Makhachkala resident for a monetary reward immediately after discharge from the maternity hospital. The woman was sentenced to three years in prison. At the same time, the court granted the defendant a deferment of punishment until her first child reaches 14 years of age, according to a statement on the department's official Telegram channel.

Investigators did not specify how many years the defendant could remain at large. The department also did not report at what stage the case of the second participant in the transaction, the buyer of the child, is.

Accomplices of the Crocus terrorist attack were preparing an explosion in Kaspiysk, Dagestan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Accomplices of the perpetrators of the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow were planning to commit another terrorist attack. This follows from the materials of the criminal case.

According to the investigation, in February-March of last year, the organizers of the terrorist group "Vilayat Khorasan"
…ISIS in Afghanistan…
(a terrorist organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) decided to carry out an explosion in the entertainment center "Moscow" in Kaspiysk.

“In the preparation of which Soliev Umedzhon, Gadoev Shakhromdzhon and Ismoilov Zabaydullo took part (all three are included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring),” TASS quoted the case materials.

They made a homemade explosive device. The terrorists failed to complete their plans, and the actions of the criminals were stopped by law enforcement officers.

It was also previously reported that Soliev, Ismoilov and Gadoev brought firearms from Dagestan to Moscow for the perpetrators of the attack on Crocus and handed them over to one of them.

The terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk was carried out on the evening of March 22 last year. They broke into the building at around eight o'clock in the evening, opened fire on people with automatic weapons, and then started a fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 149 people were killed, one is listed as missing, and 609 citizens were injured.

Greek riot police clash with anti-Israel protesters as Israeli ship docks in Rhodes
[IsraelTimes] Passengers disembark the Crown Iris safely, are greeted by local business representatives opposed to the protest as well as members of Rhodes Municipality and Chamber of Commerce

Scuffles broke out between riot police and demonstrators on the Greek island of Rhodes on Monday during a protest against the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, while an Israeli cruise ship was docked at the island, local media reported.

Television footage showed a small number of protesters chanting, "Freedom for Paleostine," and "You are not welcome on this island!" near the port, with riot police pushing them back and minor scuffles breaking out.

Anti-war and anti-Israel activists had organized the demonstrations on the island to coincide with a scheduled stop by the Crown Iris cruise ship, operated by Israeli shipping giant Mano Maritime, which was carrying more than 600 tourists.

Despite the efforts to interrupt the cruise ship’s itinerary, Greek media reported that the passengers disembarked without incident.

Protest organizers estimated that between 100 and 300 people joined Monday’s demonstration, and accused police of using unnecessary force against them.

"The riot police started pushing us and chasing us away from the area," one organizer said in a statement after the fact. "We crossed the old city and went to the other side of the port, where there was again a heavy police presence."

The organizers said that 13 people were arrested throughout the demonstration, including a local politician from the far-left Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom) party.

Local businesses on the tourism-reliant island opposed the protest, Greek media reported, and business representatives, along with representatives of the Rhodes Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce, were at the port to welcome the Israeli tourists with traditional local snacks.

Last week, the Crown Iris left another Greek island, Syros, early, without its roughly 1,600 passengers disembarking, after more than 150 protesters demonstrated at that island’s port.

The demonstrators unfurled Palestinian flags and called for an end to the war in Gaza. There were no reports of any violence in Syros.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar contacted his Greek counterpart, George Gerapetritis, over the Syros incident, and it was ultimately decided to cancel the planned port and reroute the ship to Limassol in Cyprus instead.

Greece is a popular tourist destination for Israelis, and an estimated 621,000 visited the Hellenic Republic in 2024 alone.

The country has seen a rise in antisemitic and anti-Israel incidents since the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led onslaught in southern Israel that started the war in Gaza.

Athens in particular has seen several attacks on Israeli tourists, and a group of Israeli teenagers said last week that they were attacked by a gang of anti-Israel assailants while vacationing in Rhodes.

According to the teens and their families, the attackers rallied outside a club frequented by Israelis, sparking a confrontation. The teens, aged 17-18, decided to leave and not get involved in the tussle, but were then pursued by dozens of the anti-Israel assailants, one of them told Channel 12 news.

Jewish man Attacked At Islamist Demonstration In Mannheim

By Christoph Lemmer
At a rally of the Islamist group Zaytouna with Mahmoud Abu-Odeh in Mannheim, the chairman of the Jewish community, who was observing the event, was beaten by participants – and then apparently arrested by police.

On the sidelines of an Islamist rally in Mannheim, a member of the Jewish community was thrown to the ground and injured. He expressed disappointment at the behavior of the police, who subsequently detained him. "The perpetrator was allowed to go, under the watchful eye of the station commander."

It was what the media usually call a "pro-Palestinian demonstration." The organization "Zaytouna," which is under investigation by the Baden-Württemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, gathered nearly 200 supporters on Mannheim's market square on Saturday.

#1  Here's the link to the original article in German.

The chairwoman of the Jewish community in Mannheim, Deborah Kemper, says she spoke with the operations commander the following day. He said it was a "very peaceful, relaxed situation."

These are nearly exactly the same words that the police of Cologne used in their early mendacious press release re the events of 12/31/15-1/1/16.

During a previous protest, officers told him to leave because they couldn't guarantee his safety, "or do you want police officers to fight for you?"

Yes. That's basically the deal in a polity that does not respect the people's RKBA. The police must fight for the people.

The big danger does not come from terror attacks. The big danger is political Islam acquiring power within Western government structures and using our own security apparatus to subjugate us.

I don't trust the German police.

Troops uncovered weapons, tunnel around school building in northern Gaza, says IDF
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says that troops of the 401st Brigade uncovered weapons hidden in a building that formerly served as the Al-Rafi’i school in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza, and dismantled a nearby underground terror tunnel.

According to the military, the tunnel — approximately 400 meters (1,300 feet) long — was located adjacent to the school building and was neutralized during the operation. Soldiers also took down military structures used by terrorist cells that, the IDF says, had been attempting to target Israeli forces operating in the area.

The activity was carried out under the command of the 162nd Division, as part of ongoing Israeli efforts to dismantle Hamas infrastructure in Gaza.

Image of Gazan child with genetic illness being used to falsely smear Israel, COGAT charges, Pres. Trump says ‘You can’t fake that’, 5000 Gazan toddlers treated for malnourishment because most aid looted per UN
[IsraelTimes] Defense Ministry body says 5-year-old Osama al-Rakab was evacuated in June and is undergoing treatment in Italy; 120 aid trucks entered Gaza Sunday, another 180 to enter Monday

A widely circulated image of an emaciated Paleostinian child has been used to falsely accuse Israel of starving children in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, charged the Defense Ministry body overseeing civilian affairs in the Paleostinian territories on Monday, as Israel continued to combat accusations of having deliberately starved the population of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the subject of the viral photo, 5-year-old Osama al-Rakab, suffers from a serious genetic illness that is unrelated to the ongoing war, and is currently undergoing treatment abroad.

On June 12, Israeli authorities coordinated his exit from Gaza via the Ramon airport, along with his mother and brother, and he is receiving medical treatment in Italia, COGAT said.

"Tragic images rightfully stir strong emotions, but when they’re misused to fuel hatred and lies, they do more harm than good," read a statement on COGAT’s English-language X account. "Don’t let compassion be exploited for propaganda. Check the facts before parroting blame."

The statement did not address broader reports of widespread food scarcity and malnutrition in Gaza, and instead focused on correcting what it said was a specific misuse of a personal tragedy for misinformation.

In a similar instance, freelance investigative journalist David Collier presented what he said was evidence to debunk another viral image intended to depict famine in the Gaza Strip.

The image, which was widely shared by international media outlets in recent days, shows Hidaya Yassin al-Mutawaq holding the skeletal body of her son, Mohammed al-Mutawaq.

According to Collier, the outrage sparked by this image was unprovoked, as Mohammed has serious genetic disorders and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Furthermore, he asserted, the widely shared image is cropped in a way that removes Mohammed’s younger, healthier-looking brother from the frame.

By withholding pertinent information about the young child’s complex medical needs, Collier claimed, media outlets were "deliberately pushing a deceptive narrative that only serves to benefit Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
and create fake news."

Collier himself acknowledged that Mohammed "has needed specialist medical supplements since birth," indicating that he is also likely further suffering due to the limited aid flow into Gaza, as medical equipment is in short supply and the Strip’s health system has all but collapsed.

The reports of an increasingly dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip — including reportedly growing levels of severe, acute malnutrition, and children dying by starvation — led Jerusalem on Sunday to declare that it would enforce a "tactical" pause in daily military operations in densely populated areas of Gaza, along with several other changes, to allow for the safe distribution of humanitarian aid.

At the same time, Israel has denied that it is using hunger as a weapon of war, and has accused the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
and other aid agencies of failing to pick up and distribute supplies delivered to Gaza’s border crossing points.

COGAT appeared to credit increased UN cooperation, rather than Israel’s newly eased restrictions, as the reason for more than 120 truckloads of aid having been distributed by the UN and aid agencies across Gaza on Sunday.

"Over 120 trucks were collected and distributed yesterday by the UN and international organizations," it said on X. "An additional 180 trucks entered Gaza and are now awaiting collection and distribution, along with hundreds of others still queued for UN pickup."

"More consistent collection and distribution by UN agencies and international organizations equals more aid reaching those who need it most in Gaza," COGAT added.

In addition to the latest reported aid site shooting and despite the limited pauses in fighting across the Strip, more than 30 people were said to have been killed in Israeli Arclight airstrike

According to Arabic media reports, 15 people were killed in strikes overnight, and a strike in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis on Monday morning was said to have killed another 15 people.

UN: Over 5,000 Gazans under 5 have been treated for malnutrition in past month
[IsraelTimes] Over 5,000 children under five-years old in the Gaza Strip have received outpatient treatment for malnutrition this month, UN spokesperson Farhan Haq says, adding that the Strip’s only four treatment centers are overwhelmed and nearing collapse.

Haq says during a briefing that of the UN’s 17 requests to Israel on Sunday to transfer humanitarian aid from the Kerem Shalom Crossing into southern Gaza, three were denied outright, two were later cancelled after being approved while four were impeded but still succeeded in their mission.

Explaining why most aid is looted after entering Gaza before reaching its intended destination, the UN spokesperson says the supply of humanitarian assistance is unpredictable and Gazans lack confidence it will reach them.

“The only way to mitigate for this situation is by having a sustained flow of aid over a period of time. This was evident during the ceasefire, when such incidents did not occur,” Haq says.

Report: Most aid trucks from Egypt to Gaza looted and sold in markets on 1st day of ‘humanitarian pauses’
[IsraelTimes] More than half the Egyptian aid trucks that entered the Gaza Strip on Sunday were looted by unknown actors and their contents later sold in local markets, according to a report in UK-based, Qatari-owned newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

Out of 130 trucks, 73 of them were looted near the Morag Axis, which separates Rafah from Khan Younis and is controlled by the IDF, the report says.

Just 37 trucks arrived at the warehouses of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and the Egyptian Committee aid group, according to the report.

Another 20 trucks are said to have been returned by Israel to the Rafah border crossing for reasons unclear. There is no immediate comment from the IDF.

Sunday marked the first time Egypt sent aid into Gaza via the Rafah crossing since Israel took control of it in May 2024. It was the first day of Israel’s new aid policy, under which 10-hour “humanitarian pauses” are held in the fighting to let in more aid. The policy was adopted amid mounting international pressure over the hunger crisis in Gaza.

In an interview with The Times of Israel earlier this week, former US humanitarian envoy David Satterfield said that unlike UN aid which is largely accounted for, assistance from the Red Crescent societies is more susceptible to theft by Hamas and criminal gangs.

“The chain of custody from inspection by Israel to distribution sites maintained and documented by the UN and the major international organizations was and is carefully done, as these organizations are all accountable to the funding states, including the US,” Satterfield said.

“While looting and self-distribution disrupt this accountability, the majority of all assistance entered into Gaza by these actors has been accounted for,” he continued. “Palestine Red Crescent Society assistance, in contrast, has zero international accountability.”

West Bank: Palestinian activist shot dead during clash with settlers in Umm al-Khair, brick thrower shot dead in Hebron
[IsraelTimes] Awdah Hathaleen fatally wounded after extremist settler under Western sanctions allegedly fired at group of Palestinians who were said to have been throwing stones in West Bank

Awdah Hathaleen, a prominent Paleostinian activist featured in the Oscar-winning documentary "No Other Land" was allegedly shot and killed on Monday evening near the village of Umm al-Khair in the West Bank, during festivities with Israeli settlers at whom a group a group of Paleostinians were allegedly throwing stones.

Hebrew media outlets identified one of the Israelis involved in the shootout
as Yinon Levi, an hard boy settler formerly sanctioned by the US under the Biden administration, and still sanctioned by Canada, the UK, and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
According to reports, Levi allegedly fired toward a group of Paleostinians near the settlement of Carmel in the South Hebron Hills. Hathaleen, 31, was seriously maimed in the upper body during the clash and was taken to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he succumbed to his wounds hours later.

At least two other Paleostinians were said to have been maimed in the incident. The Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy and Magen David Adom were both called to the scene to provide emergency medical treatment to the maimed.

In video footage from the scene of the confrontation, Levi can be seen holding a handgun and firing into the air. A bulldozer is visible in the frame behind him. The Ynet news site reported that Levi was in the area carrying out permitted construction on a new neighborhood in Carmel, and in Levi’s account of the incident, he alleged that dozens of rioters from nearby Umm al-Khair threw stones at him and several other Israelis. He claimed that he opened fire on the Paleostinians because he felt his life was in danger, Ynet reported.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were disputed by Haaretz, however, which reported that Levi’s bulldozer had encroached on the privately-owned land of Umm al-Khair. Video footage showed a group of Paleostinians attempting to block the bulldozer from continuing forward.

In a statement, the Israel Police said it was investigating the incident, and that an Israeli citizen involved in the shooting were tossed into the calaboose at the scene and later arrested.

The police did not identify the detained Israeli, although Haaretz reported that it was indeed Levi.

Four Paleostinians were also detained by the Israel Defense Forces, as well as two foreign tourists, police said.

The police added that they were investigating Hathaleen’s role in the festivities surrounding his death, and Haaretz reported that they have requested an autopsy as part of the investigation.

In the aftermath of the incident, the Carmel settlement voiced support for the settlers involved in the incident, saying it "will not accept a reality in which a Jew is attacked, and definitely not on the property of the settlement."

"This event could have ended in the murder of a Jew had he not defended himself," it added, without mention of Hathaleen, the victim of the deadly clash.

"We call on law enforcement authorities to wake up and immediately clear out all illegal construction around the settlement and the roads, for the security of our residents," the settlement demanded, referring to the Paleostinian village.

The alleged killing was denounced in Israel by Labor MK Gilad Kariv, who asserted that the Israeli government and IDF have allowed "armed Jewish militias to operate unchecked."

"[National Security Minister Itamar] Ben Gvir has paralyzed the police, [Defense Minister Israel] Katz has blocked the Shin Bet’s operations, and the army continues to turn a blind eye," Kariv wrote on X.

"The bloodshed is already a terrible disaster and demands action, but let no one be under any illusion—this will not stop at the Green Line," he warned.

The Peace Now NGO likewise warned that "settler terrorism, which mostly happens in wildcat outposts, doesn’t just hurt Paleostinians — it also hurts the rule of law in Israel and its international standing."

"A state that values life must arrest its violent mostly peaceful citizens who take the law into their own hands," it said. "Every day that this government of anarchy is in power, our situation deteriorates further."

In 2020, Hadalin spoke to Zman Yisrael, The Times of Israel’s Hebrew-language sister-site, about his vision for a shared future for Israelis and Paleostinians, saying he believed "there will be no peace until everyone has the right to go to the beach."

"We want peace. I still believe that we will have peace one day," he said at the time.

2 US Jews said detained in Iran on suspicion of spying for Israel amid war; 1 still in prison
[IsraelTimes] Two American nationals are among at least 35 Jews who were detained in Iran on suspicion of spying for Israel following the 12-day war last month, the Kan public broadcaster reports.

One of the American citizens was released on bail in the past few days, and the other is still in prison, according to the report.

The American who was released on bail is a Jew of Iranian ancestry from Los Angeles, and the other American left Iran for New York 30 years ago, Kan says.

Both were reportedly in Iran to visit relatives.
I’m sorry, but given the Mad Mullahs’ addiction to kidnapping foreigners for fun and profit, and their continuing war against the Great Satan, for these people to go there was profoundly stupid.
An unidentified source involved in efforts to free the two American Jews is quoted as saying that “the two Americans arrived in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

According to Kan, Iranian authorities in recent days released 11 members of the Jewish community accused of spying for Israel.

The number of Jews still detained for alleged spying in Iran is now five, Kan says.
