US killer of Palestinian-American boy in Oct. ’23 hate crime dies in prison aged 73
[IsraelTimes] Landlord Joseph Czuba was sentenced to 53 years for stabbing 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi to death and trying to kill the boy’s mother, days after Israel-Hamas war broke out

A landlord jailed for decades after he attacked a Palestinian American boy and his mother has died.

Three months ago, Joseph Czuba was sentenced to 53 years behind bars for the attack. He was found guilty in February of murder, attempted murder and hate-crime charges in the death of Wadee Alfayoumi and the wounding of the boy’s mother, Hanan Shaheen.
Mr. Czuba had been divorcée Ms Shahin’s landlord for two years, and was in the habit of bringing her young lad toys. But after 10/7 he became afraid to have a Palestinian tenant, and then something happened that resulted in a stabbed mother and a naked little boy with a knife in his back. The estranged father, Oday Al Fayoume, sued to get lotsa money out of what he presumed was a rich American, with no hint that any of it would be shared afterward with the dead child’s mother...
The 73-year-old Czuba targeted them in October 2023 because of their Islamic faith and as a response to the war between Israel and the Hamas terror group, which started days earlier with Hamas’s October 7 attack.

Czuba died Thursday in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to a statement from the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

Ahmed Rehab, the executive director of Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Chicago office, said in a statement on Saturday that “this depraved killer has died, but the hate is still alive and well.”

Evidence at trial included harrowing testimony from Shaheen and her frantic 911 call, along with bloody crime scene photos and police video. Jurors deliberated less than 90 minutes before handing in a verdict.

The family had been renting rooms in Czuba’s home in Plainfield, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) from Chicago when the attack happened.

Central to prosecutors’ case was harrowing testimony from the boy’s mother, who said Czuba attacked her before moving on to her son, insisting they had to leave because they were Muslim. Shaheen testified during the trial that Czuba told her, “You, as a Muslim, must die.”

Prosecutors also played the 911 call and showed police footage. Czuba’s wife, Mary, whom he has since divorced, also testified for the prosecution, saying he had become agitated about the Israel-Hamas war, which had erupted days earlier.

Police said Czuba pulled a knife from a holder on a belt and stabbed the boy 26 times, leaving the knife in the child’s body. Some of the bloody crime scene photos were so explicit that the judge agreed to turn television screens showing them away from the audience, which included Wadee’s relatives.

The attack renewed fears of anti-Muslim discrimination and hit particularly hard in Plainfield and surrounding suburbs, which have a large and established Palestinian community. Wadee’s funeral drew large crowds, and Plainfield officials have dedicated a park playground in his honor.

In 1st since Israel took control of Rafah crossing, Egypt delivers aid to Gaza during wartime
[IsraelTimes] Egyptian media reports that trucks carrying humanitarian aid began entering the Gaza Strip this morning.

The trucks are entering through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Egypt had delivered aid during the war via the Rafah crossing but halted it after Israel took control of the crossing in May 2024. During the ceasefire in January 2025, Egypt resumed sending aid through the Kerem Shalom crossing. This is the first time Egypt has delivered aid in this manner during active fighting.

In early July, the European Union announced it had reached an agreement with Israel to reopen aid corridors from Jordan and Egypt, as part of a broader deal with Israel to increase humanitarian assistance to Gaza. In recent days, there has been a growing online campaign criticizing Egypt and questioning why it has not reopened the Gaza border crossing to allow aid in, amid the severe humanitarian crisis in the Strip. Protests have also taken place in recent days outside Egyptian embassies in Lebanon, Syria, the UK, Denmark, Canada, and other countries.
Aid trucks have started moving toward Gaza from Egypt, the Egyptian state-affiliated Al Qahera News TV reports, after mounting international pressure and warnings from relief agencies of starvation spreading in the enclave.

With the Rafah Crossing shut, the trucks will go via Israel to be checked before they enter the Strip.
Good idea
The Israeli military has said that “humanitarian corridors” will be established starting today for safe movement of United Nations convoys delivering aid to Gazans and that “humanitarian pauses” will be implemented in densely populated areas.

Work begins on water pipeline linking Egyptian desalination plant to Gaza
[IsraelTimes] Work has begun on a water pipeline from a desalination facility in Egypt to the al-Mawasi area on the coast of the southern Gaza Strip, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians currently reside, Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories says.

In a statement, COGAT says that several weeks ago it approved a United Arab Emirates initiative to construct the pipeline, which it says “is intended to serve approximately 600,000 residents in the area and will operate independently of Israel’s water pipelines.”

Today, UAE representatives “began transferring equipment for the project from Egypt under supervision and following a thorough security inspection via the Kerem Shalom Crossing,” COGAT says.

“Construction of the pipeline will commence in the coming days and is expected to continue for several weeks,” it adds.

Inquiry into Edinburgh U’s ties to slave trade recommends it drop IHRA antisemitism definition
The connection makes no sense.
[IsraelTimes] An inquiry into the University of Edinburgh’s connections to the transatlantic slave trade has recommended that the institution unadopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism.

The inquiry, which made 47 recommendations, says the definition silenced “free conversation” about Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank. It also suggested the university sell off its investments in companies that have significant links to the Israeli government.

The IHRA definition of antisemitism has been adopted by groups and governments worldwide, but is contested because it covers some examples of anti-Israel rhetoric, such as denying the Jewish people the right to self-determination.
Because the only people among all the peoples of the Earth who must not to have the right of self-determination is the Jews? We know what you are, even if you are insistently blind to it.
The inquiry, commissioned by the university’s principal, Sir Peter Mathieson, found the Scottish capital’s university played an “outsized” role in the forming of racist pseudoscience and profited off slavery.

Jew hate is trending: Israeli says man screamed ‘F*ck Israel, I’m Hamas,’ bit part of his ear off in Greece
[IsraelTimes] Victim says he and attacker both arrested; in separate incident, Israeli cellist says he was kicked out of a restaurant in Vienna for speaking Hebrew

An Israeli tourist said a man bit off part of his ear on an Athens beach on Saturday after yelling, "Free Paleostine, fuck Israel, I am Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
Stav Ben-Shushan, who was hospitalized, told Hebrew media that he had shoved the man amid the altercation, which he said was sparked when the man approached him and other Israelis and threw sand at them.

Ben-Shushan later indicated, according to Hebrew media, that he was questioned by Greek police after being accused of making racist comments and claimed both he and his attacker were arrested.

The altercation was one of a few alleged anti-Israel incidents across Greece, and Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
more broadly, in recent days.

Speaking to Channel 12 from a hospital in Greece, Ben-Shushan said he and his wife were at Bolivar Beach on the Athenian Riviera, chatting with another Israeli couple, when a man started filming them and chanting the anti-Israel slogans.

Ben-Shushan told Hebrew media that the group initially ignored the disturbance, but then the man threw sand at the Israeli next to them.

Ben-Shushan said he started shoving the attacker before security guards intervened to separate them, removing the assailant from the beach.

The Israeli related that an hour later, he was walking back to his wife from a bathroom at the beach where he saw the man return and approach her, and appear to attack her.

When he rushed to intervene, the attacker bit part of his ear off, Ben-Shushan said.

Ben-Shushan said, without appearing to provide evidence, that the man was Syrian.

According to Ynet, anonymous officials in the Foreign Ministry said, "Apparently, a group of migrants colonists identified the Israelis and harassed them." The officials added that the attacker had been arrested.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said it demanded "zero tolerance" for the incident.

"Israel views this severely and expects a prompt and emphatic response from law enforcement in Greece," the statement said.

The alleged attack at the Athens beach came days after a group of Israeli teenagers were accosted by a group of anti-Israel assailants while vacationing in the Greek island of Rhodes. The previous day, an Israeli-owned cruise ship was prevented from docking at the Greek island of Syros and was instead rerouted to Cyprus due to a large anti-Israel and pro-Paleostinian protest taking place at the port.

Elsewhere in Europe, Amit Peled, an Israeli cellist, posted to Instagram that he and two fellow musicians were kicked out of a Vienna restaurant for speaking Hebrew.

He wrote on Friday that the previous day, he was eating with violinist Hagai Shaham and pianist Julia Gurvitch at an Italian restaurant in the Austrian capital, when a waiter overheard them and asked what language they were speaking.

"I answered, ’Hebrew, of course,'" Peled related. "He looked me directly in the eye and said, without hesitation: ’In that case, leave. I’m not serving you food.’ Just like that."

Peled continued, "The people around us were clearly startled, some offered sympathetic glances... and then, quietly, they went back to their dinners, their conversations, their wine — as though nothing had happened. Welcome to Europe, 2025."

Fifth Column
Another report links US anti-Israel groups to Beijing-backed network aiding China
[IsraelTimes] Study by George Washington University’s Center on Extremism outlines ties between pro-Palestinian protest groups and tech mogul Neville Roy Singham who works to help China weaken the US
At least his projects have been cut off from USAID and other US government funding. China hasn’t the kind of loose change for such projects that they did until recently.
In November 2023, just weeks after the Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
invasion of Israel, thousands of anti-Israel protesters rallied in Washington, DC, to call for a halt to the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
The crowd, the largest pro-Paleostinian protest in the US capital in years, chanted for an intifada and smeared red paint reminiscent of blood on concrete posts outside the White House.

While it looked like a wholly grassroots effort reflecting growing American anger over Israel’s counteroffensive following the massacre, the protest was actually backed by a financial network linked to the Chinese Communist Party, or CCP, and to pro-China propaganda, according to a report released earlier this month.

The report, "CCP Influence in US pro-Paleostinian Activism," by George Washington University’s Program on Extremism, describes a propaganda network with a central role in anti-Israel protest movements in the US.

The author of the report, former FBI agent Jennifer Baker, outlined the network’s finances, anti-Israel activism, and messaging that dovetailed with positions held by the Chinese government. Baker is a retired federal agent with 25 years of experience in counterintelligence, national security, and criminal investigations.

The network centers around Neville Roy Singham, an American living in Shanghai. Singham has long had ties to China, and in 2017, sold his tech company ThoughtWorks for about $785 million.

His engagement with China strengthened following the sale as he backed US nonprofits that organize against Israel and for positions in favor of the CCP, the report said, citing previous reporting on Singham, including by the nonprofit Network Contagion Research Institute, along with publicly available documents such as nonprofit tax filings.

The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported in August 2023 that it had "tracked hundreds of millions of dollars to groups linked to Mr. Singham that mix progressive advocacy with Chinese government talking points."

"Singham works closely with the Chinese government media machine and is financing its propaganda worldwide," reported the broadsheet.

Singham’s wife, Jodie Evans, is a prominent activist and the co-founder of CodePink, a far-left group that campaigns against Israel. Evans has written a book titled "China is Not Our Enemy."

One of Singham’s media platforms has collaborated with Shanghai’s propaganda office, some of his other outlets have partnered with a Chinese university to disseminate pro-China messaging, and he has joined CCP workshops, the report said.

"While individual protesters may be motivated by genuine outrage over the war in Gaza, the infrastructure surrounding their activism reveals deeper strategic intent," the report said. "At its core, Beijing’s involvement is about power and positioning: using domestic dissent in the US to project weakness abroad, while casting China as a principled champion of peace and justice."

Far-left activist groups, the People’s Forum, the ANSWER Coalition, and the International People’s Assembly have ties to Singham’s network. The three groups, along with CodePink, organized the Shut It Down for Paleostine campaign that took off after the start of the Gaza war, according to the report.

Funding linking the groups is difficult to track because donors can contribute to nonprofits through funds that shield their identity, but the People’s Forum acknowledged its support from Singham in 2021. The funding network runs through nonprofits with nondescript names like the Justice and Education Fund and the United Community Fund.

The People’s Forum, the most prominent of the groups, is based in New York City and often organizes anti-Israel events, such as protests and free courses on Zionism. On October 8, 2023, the People’s Forum, the ANSWER Coalition, and several pro-Paleostinian groups applauded the Hamas attacks as they rallied against Israel in Times Square.

The two groups and the Chinese embassy did not respond to requests for comment. Singham himself is unreachable, with even Congressional inquiries saying they are unable to serve him a subpoena.

"We mobilize in the belly of the beast because we understand that we have a unique role to play in combating material support for Zionism, and weakening the handmaiden of US global imperialism," the groups said in a joint statement regarding the protest at the time.

BreakThrough News, a digital media outlet that has received funding from the People’s Forum, operates out of the same building and shares some of the same staff, has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and publishes content that is in line with CCP positions. After October 7, the outlet shifted its focus from leftist, pro-China talking points to coverage of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict, leading to a surge in its viewership, the George Washington University report said.

The activist network frames the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict as "part of a broader struggle against US ’imperialism’ — rhetoric that mirrors CCP propaganda," the report said. "This anti-US, anti-Israel stance is precisely in line with Beijing’s messaging that the US and its allies are the source of global conflict."

The report argued that the pro-China messages surrounding the war "are part of a bigger Chinese strategy to influence global opinion, discredit the West, and expand China’s power."

"This alignment is not coincidental, but reflects how CCP propaganda efforts amplify themes that are already prevalent in anti-Israel, anti-Western circles worldwide," the report said.

The goal is to undermine US influence in the Middle East and to stoke division between the West and countries in the Global South like Brazil and South Africa. The messaging surrounding the Paleostinian cause also helps China’s image in those regions and Arab and Moslem countries. At the same time, activism in the US amplifies internal domestic divisions as the protest groups often espouse anti-government and anti-capitalist positions, the report argued.

"China and the protest movement support each other’s claims that the US and Israel are in the wrong, while China presents itself as standing for peace and justice," it said.

In addition to Evans, Singham has other family ties to leftist groups in New York. His niece is the political director of Jews for Economic and Racial Justice, a progressive group that is backing Zohran Mamdani’s run for city mayor, The New York Post reported this month.
His niece? How interesting.

The group describes itself as a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities. It was founded in 2002 by Jodie Evans, Medea Benjamin and of the other usual antiwar suspects. Its website lists hysterical allegations of US war crimes, and states that thousands of civilians were killed in Fallujah in 2004. Maybe it was millions. Benjamin was a 2000 candidate for the U.S. Senate on the Green Party ticket. She lost...
has denied receiving funding from the CCP.

Last month, the US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform demanded that Singham provide documents on his funding and control over far-left groups, saying his activities may violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

US Rep. Anna Paula Luna said this month that Singham was "hiding" from the inquiry.

Some members of Congress have been accused by critics of launching agenda-driven investigations claiming nefarious funding sources of progressive groups based on little evidence or discredited conspiracies.

, who was then a senator and the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, requested that the Justice Department investigate Singham due to his reported anti-Israel activism and ties to China.

The Coalition for a Safer Web, an advocacy group led by Marc Ginsberg, former US ambassador to Morocco and ex-White House adviser for the Middle East, called for a crackdown on the Singham network in a report released last month.

Ministers set to gather at UN for postponed French-Saudi conference on two-state solution
[IsraelTimes] Dozens of ministers will gather at the United Nations today for a delayed conference to work toward a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, but the US and Israel are boycotting the event.
Damn straight.
The 193-member UN General Assembly decided in September last year that such a conference would be held in 2025. Hosted by France and Saudi Arabia, the conference was postponed in June after Israel attacked Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites, and ballistic missile program.

The conference aims to lay out the parameters for a roadmap to a Palestinian state, while ensuring Israel’s security.
The joke going around Israel is that France has plenty of room for as many Palestines as they want, and Israel won’t do anything to prevent them being established on French territory.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot told newspaper La Tribune Dimanche in an interview published yesterday that he will also use the conference this week to push other countries to join France in recognizing a Palestinian state.

France intends to recognize a Palestinian state in September at the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, President Emmanuel Macron said last week.

“We will launch an appeal in New York so that other countries join us to initiate an even more ambitious and demanding dynamic that will culminate on September 21,” Barrot said, adding that he expected Arab countries by then to condemn Hamas and call for its disarmament.

The US will not attend the conference at the United Nations, says a State Department spokesperson, describing it as “a gift to Hamas, which continues to reject ceasefire proposals accepted by Israel that would lead to the release of hostages and bring calm in Gaza.”

The State Department spokesperson adds that Washington voted against the General Assembly last year calling for the conference and would “not support actions that jeopardize the prospect for a long-term, peaceful resolution to the conflict.”

Israel is also not taking part in the conference, “which doesn’t first urgently address the issue of condemning Hamas and returning all of the remaining hostages,” says Jonathan Harounoff, international spokesperson at Israel’s UN mission.

Dropping unnecessary food to shut up the critics: UAE and Jordan airdropped 28 packages of aid in Gaza, says IDF
[IsraelTimes] Aircraft from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan airdropped 28 packages of humanitarian aid in the northern and southern Gaza Strip today, the Israeli military says.

The IDF says the airdrops were carried out “in accordance with the directives from the political echelon and as part of the cooperation between Israel, the UAE, and Jordan.”

The airdrops are part of a “series of actions aimed at improving the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip,” the military says.

“The IDF will continue to work in order to improve the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, along with the international community, while refuting the false claims of deliberate starvation in Gaza,” it adds.

IDF spokesman: Israel ‘cares about the nutrition of Gazans more than Hamas does’
[IsraelTimes] IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie reiterates that the military is not subjugating the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip to starvation, saying that Israel cares more about Gazan civilians than Hamas does.

“We are continuing to lead a process of bringing humanitarian aid, while continuing the fighting. Israel is the one that initiated the [Gaza Humanitarian Foundation] aid distribution sites… This is to prevent famine in Gaza,” Defrin says in a press conference.

“We are securing four [GHF] sites, allowing convoys and carrying out airdrops. Additionally, we designated humanitarian corridors that will allow safe travel for convoys of the UN and internal organizations. This is in addition to pauses in the fighting, to allow the civilians to collect the aid,” he says.

Defrin asserts that Hamas is stealing aid from the Gazan civilians, hiding it in tunnels, and at the same time carrying out a “false campaign on starvation in the Gaza Strip.”

“The photos emerging from Gaza are difficult, and they are part of this false campaign,” he claims.

“I want to be clear, there is no starvation in the Gaza Strip. We are operating according to international law, monitoring the situation every day, and acting accordingly,” Defrin says.

“We care about the nutrition of the residents of Gaza more than Hamas does. Hamas works intentionally to worsen the condition of the population. Hamas tries with all its might to sabotage the [GHF] aid distribution sites and the arrival of the aid to the Strip,” he adds.

Arab-Israeli communal leaders launch 3-day hunger strike against Gaza starvation, reject new aid policy as PR stunt
[IsraelTimes] Arab lawmakers and community leaders hold a press conference in Jaffa marking the end of the first day of a three-day hunger strike over the starvation in Gaza.

The strike is part of a burgeoning anti-war campaign in the Arab community that included a 10,000-strong demonstration in Sakhnin on Friday. The community leaders are also planning a demonstration outside the US Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Responding to a question from The Times of Israel, Mohammad Barakeh, head of the High Follow-up Committee, an umbrella organization representing Palestinian citizens of Israel, says the strike was decided upon weeks ago, and indicates that the organizers were unimpressed by Israel’s announcement last night that it would increase the flow of aid into Gaza.

According to Barakeh, the aid entering Gaza under the new Israeli measures is not nearly enough to feed the Strip’s population.

“This is not an operation to save lives,” he says. “This is is a public relations operation that follows international pressure and the horrifying pictures that are circulating in the world.” He also says the Follow-up Committee has for months had plans in place to send and distribute aid, and accuses Israeli authorities of refusing the scheme.

Among the participants in the press conference are lawmakers Mansour Abbas, Ahmed Tibi and Aida Touma-Saliman — respectively of the three Arab parties currently represented in the Knesset, Ra’am, Ta’al and Hadash — as well as Sami Abu Shehadeh and Sakhnin Mayor Mazen Ghanayim, leading members of the Balad party. Also in attendance is Amos Goldberg, a Hebrew University Holocaust scholar who has accused Israel of genocide in Gaza. With the exception of Goldberg, who speaks only in Hebrew, and Ghanayim, who speaks only in Arabic, the speakers deliver their statements in both languages.

Speakers call for an end to the war and immediate release of the hostages. They also accuse Israeli media and Zionist political parties of whitewashing the situation in Gaza, and praise French President Emmanuel Macron for his decision to recognize Palestinian statehood in September.

“I’m waiting for Britain to do the same, because Britain’s historic and moral debt is greater than France’s,” says Tibi. He also gives special thanks to Jewish Israelis who attended the Sakhnin demonstration.

Footage shows scramble for humanitarian aid airdropped in Gaza yesterday
[IsraelTimes] A video circulated by media outlets in Gaza shows dozens of Gazans scrambling for humanitarian aid that was airdropped in the Gaza Strip last night. In the footage — whose exact location in the Strip is unclear — Gazans can be seen also celebrating the arrival of the aid.

[IsraelTimes] Report says that four Nahal soldiers refused to serve in Gaza due to ‘a deep internal crisis’; IDF sentences three of them to seven to 12 days in jail, fourth yet to be sentenced

The military announced on Sunday that three soldiers serving in the Nahal Infantry Brigade were dismissed from combat duty and tossed in the slammer

due to "a deep internal crisis."

The case was first reported by the Kan public broadcaster and later confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces.

According to Kan, four soldiers in Nahal’s 931st Battalion were dismissed from combat for refusing to enter Gaza after several rounds of fighting in the Strip.

Three were sentenced and will serve seven to 12 days in jail, while the fourth has not yet been sentenced.

The report said the four told their commanders that they cannot enter Gaza again because of "a deep internal crisis."

It said that the four also claim that when they announced their refusal, they were sent to prison instead of being treated.

Kan also quoted a mother of one of the four soldiers as saying that they had lost many comrades in battle and were exposed to difficult sights and endured tragic experiences.

"These things were seared into their souls," the mother reportedly said.

The IDF responded to the report by saying that the three standing army soldiers of the Nahal Brigade "refused to enter the fighting in the Gaza Strip."

The army noted that the soldiers met with a mental health officer, "who determined that they were fit to participate in combat."

"After a disciplinary procedure, the fighters stood by their refusal and were therefore sentenced to imprisonment in a military prison," the IDF said.

The IDF said that the case was handled with "sensitivity and in accordance with orders," adding that it views "insubordination gravely, especially during combat, and will continue to uphold discipline and command values."

Ima Era (Wide-Awake Mother), an organization of mothers of IDF soldiers, said in a statement carried by the Haaretz daily that "when soldiers repeatedly cry out that they can no longer continue, this is not a ’disciplinary issue.’ It is a damning indictment of a system that has pushed its people to the edge of their endurance."

The military has been facing a growing problem of reservists not showing up for duty, but the four soldiers disciplined by the military Sunday were conscripts, among whom refusal is less common.

The IDF is also facing a mental health crisis, including a rise in the number of suspected suicides in the military since the war in Gaza began.

In just the past few weeks, four soldiers, including an off-duty reservist, have died by suspected suicide, bringing to 19 the total number of such cases since the beginning of the year.

#1  7 - 12 days is NOT jail - it's detention on base with kitchen duty (I've had several).

Sen. Lindsey Graham: ‘There’s no way to negotiate’ end to war with Hamas
Nailed it in one.
[IsraelTimes] A leading Republican senator suggests that Israel will not be able to negotiate a satisfactory end to the war in Gazoo

says in an interview on NBC News.

"They’re going to do in Gaza what we did in Tokyo and Berlin, take the place by force and start over again, presenting a better future for the Paleostinians, hopefully having the Arabs take over the West Bank and Gaza," says Graham, a longtime supporter of Israel, frequent visitor to the Jewish state, and friend of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He also asserts that there may be some Hamas members who "would accept safe passage if they release the hostages," suggesting that Israel should make such an offer.

Earlier this year, Trump made a surprising proclamation that the US would take over the Gaza Strip, displace its population, and turn the area into a resort, but he appears to have since backed down from the idea.

#1

The Hamas situation is so obvious that even fence sitting Sen. Lindsey Graham understands it.

It's a $%^& genocidal based terrorist group, not a political party. It's very reason for existing is made clear by their usual shouts for the "Death to Israel".

#2  Why is Graham on television? Dems hate him. Republicans hate him. Putting on the screen just results in people turning the channel. There is no upside for one of his spots; yet there he is again.

3 activists aboard Gaza flotilla agree to immediate deportation, says legal group
[IsraelTimes] Lawyers for most of the activists aboard a flotilla heading to Gaza and intercepted by Israel last night say that three of the detainees have agreed to be deported immediately.

Legal rights center Adalah says in a statement that “the authorities presented them with two options: either agree to so-called ‘voluntary deportation,’ or remain in detention and appear before a tribunal, to have their continued detention pending deportation reviewed.”

According to Adalah, three detainees — an Italian, an American, and a French member of parliament, Gabrielle Cathala — agreed to be deported and are expected to leave Israel in the coming hours.

The two US-Israeli nationals aboard the boat, Bob Suberi and Huwaida Arraf, were interrogated by Israeli police and released, while 12 international activists — including another left-wing French MP, Emma Fourreau — refused to sign voluntary deportation orders and are still in Israeli custody, pending legal hearings, the organization says.

The remaining four detainees, including a pair of Al Jazeera journalists, have retained private counsel.

Syria expected to hold parliamentary election in September
Like Iran and the rest of the totalitarians, the candidate list will be pre-approved by the HTS/Al Nusra government for suitable Sunni fanaticism.
