Somali Commandos Kill 37 Al-Shabaab Militants in Joint Operation: Army
[ShabelleMedia] Somali special forces killed 37 Al-Shabaab militants, including senior commanders, in a coordinated overnight operation in the southern village of Maqooqaha, the army said Sunday.

The assault, led by the elite Danab Commandos of the Somali National Army in collaboration with international partners, targeted a known militant stronghold in the Lower Jubba region.

“During the operation, 37 terrorists were neutralized, including key leaders of the Al-Shabaab group,” the Ministry of Defence said in a statement. It did not identify the commanders killed.

The military described the offensive as “precisely planned,” adding that no civilian casualties were reported.

Somali Forces Launch Operations Against Al-Shabaab in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle Regions
[ShabelleMedia] Somali National Army and allied militia forces have launched coordinated operations in the Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions targeting Al-Shabaab militants, military sources confirmed on Saturday.

The security offensive focuses on areas between Ceel Hareeri in Hiiraan and Aadan Yabaal in Middle Shabelle, with particular attention on the Mabaax area, where militant activity remains a concern.

Government forces recently regained control of small areas near Aadan Yabaal district and are working to consolidate their hold, aiming to restore state authority in the area.

Simultaneously, operations continue in Middle Shabelle and Lower Shabelle regions as part of broader efforts to weaken Al-Shabaab’s presence. The government has reclaimed key localities, including Sabiid and Caanoole, which were long-held by the militant group.

Africa North
Malian Army announced that a commander and his bodyguards from the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) were killed in the northern Ménaka region
[PUBLISH.TWITTER] ULULULULULULULU!!!!!

Parachuted in a Syrian CEO? And former Al Qaeda muckety-muck who was jailed in 2005 for leading al Qaeda in Spain? I’m impressed.
Update from DeepNewz at 2:20 p.m. EDT courtesy of Besoeker:
Mali’s armed forces, backed by Russia’s Africa Corps and the Tuareg-led Movement for the Salvation of Azawad, have killed Islamic State Sahel Province commander Abu Dahdah and six of his fighters during an operation in Chamane, about 38 kilometres north of Ménaka. Military statements said the raid took place on 28 June after intelligence indicated the militants planned to address local residents.

Abu Dahdah, a Moroccan national
…not the Syrian gent of the same name?
also identified as Imad Eddin Barakat Yarkas, was described as the group’s explosives expert and deputy to senior ISSP leader Abu Algabas. Local sources link him to a recent high-profile assault in Bani Bangou across the Niger border. He previously served prison time in Spain for his alleged role in al-Qaeda’s 9/11 plot, according to Africa Corps accounts.
So the same gentleman, just a different birthplace. Got it.
In a separate development the same day, the Malian military reported that Boubacar Ibrahim—widely known as Oubel—and ten of his fighters surrendered with their weapons in Lellehoye, Ansongo circle. The back-to-back blow underscores growing pressure on Islamic State affiliates operating in Mali’s northeast.

Iraq
Kurdish, Iraqi forces eliminate ‘three terrorist’ in Kirkuk
[Rudaw] Kurdish and Iraqi security forces have eliminated "three terrorists," including a senior commander, during a joint operation in Kirkuk province, according to statements released on Sunday by the Sulaimani branch of the Kurdistan Region’s Security Agency (Asayish) and Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS).

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the Asayish announced that, in coordination with the ICTS, they "eliminated the battalion commander of Sulaiman Beg" - an area located east of Salahaddin province and south of Kirkuk - "along with two affiliated hard boyz during a direct confrontation."
An emir and two henchmen.
The operation was based on detailed intelligence as well as "credible input from informants," the Asayish added, noting that the Kurdish security forces and the ICTS were able to successfully "locate the terrorists' hideout" and "conduct a joint operation."

For its part, the ICTS said in a Sunday statement on X that they, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Region's Asayish, managed to successfully "eliminate three hard boyz in Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
" describing the operation as "a specialized, qualitative operation" that was "based on accurate intelligence information."

The statement further detailed that "after setting up a tight ambush following continuous surveillance, our heroes were able to kill three terrorists, two of whom held positions as sector commanders, and the third as a battalion commander in Kirkuk province."

The ICTS confirmed the joint operation in a separate statement on X, describing it as a "specialized, high-quality operation" carried out with "accurate intelligence."

"After conducting continuous surveillance and setting a tight ambush, our forces succeeded in killing three terrorists," the ICTS said. "Two of them held positions as sector commanders, and the third was a battalion commander in Kirkuk province."

Erbil and Baghdad have recently increased joint efforts to close security gaps between their territories, which have been exploited by krazed killer groups, including Islamic State

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Terror in Gaza: Hamas offers bounties to kill US and local aid workers, group says
[FoxNews] Hamas would be very unwise to test the resolve of [President Donald Trump],' Gaza Humanitarian Foundation executive chairman warns

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) is facing a new threat as Hamas terrorists allegedly place bounties on the heads of its workers, including U.S. security personnel and local aid staff.

According to GHF, Hamas is offering monetary rewards to anyone who kills or injures the organization’s workers.
I had wondered if the claims of killed Palestinians were Hamas handiwork rather than the IDF. It could be the answer is yes.
"We are aware of credible reports that Hamas is openly targeting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and those who work with us. According to these reports, Hamas has placed bounties on both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers, offering cash rewards to anyone who injures or kills them," GHF said in a statement provided exclusively to Fox News Digital.

"The targets of Hamas’ brutality are heroes who are simply trying to feed the people of Gaza in the middle of a war."

GHF also said Hamas has positioned "armed operatives" near humanitarian zones in an apparent attempt to "disrupt the only functioning aid delivery system in Gaza."

Earlier this month, Hamas launched a deadly attack on GHF workers, leaving 12 dead. The organization said Hamas also tortured others. The victims were local workers, according to GHF.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee issued a statement on the alleged bounties and criticized the United Nations’ silence on Hamas brutality.

"Last month [President Trump] told us to get food to civilians in Gaza, but DON'T let Hamas steal it," Huckabee wrote on X. "NOT always pretty, but 800k+ unique recipients of food & 1ST TIME they [have] received food FREE since start of war. Hamas has stolen or taxed it & now w/ GHF they CAN'T! Hamas' main tool to control Gaza is GONE. Hamas has put a bounty on the heads of everyone at GHF — Gazans [and] Americans. The UN remains SILENT."

In response to Huckabee’s statement, Rev. Johnnie Moore, GHF executive chairman, wrote in his own post on X that reports of the Hamas bounties are based on "new and credible information received today."

"Hamas would be very unwise to test the resolve of [President Donald Trump]," Moore wrote.

GHF is demanding the international community break its silence on Hamas’ treatment of the organization’s local workers and the American security personnel, many of whom are U.S. veterans.

"Hamas, through these violent and escalating threats, is showing the world it prefers chaos and starvation to peace and aid," GHF wrote. "We call on international leaders and aid groups to stand with us and with the people of Gaza. The people of Gaza, who show up to our sites every day in defiance of Hamas’ threats and brutality, deserve it."

GHF said it has been able to distribute about 49,915,822 meals so far. The organization recently received a funding boost after the U.S. State Department announced it had approved $30 million in funding for the group.

"We call on other countries to also support the GHF, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, and its critical work," State Department spokesperson Tommy Piggot said in a briefing June 26.

"From day one, we said we are open to creative solutions that securely provide aid to those in Gaza and protects Israel. The support is simply the latest iteration of President Trump’s and Secretary Rubio’s pursuit of peace in the region."

Rishon Lezion man accused of spying on apartments, car dealership for Iran
[IsraelTimes] State prosecutors filed an indictment against a Rishon Lezion resident accused of espionage for Iran, charging him with contact with a foreign agent and providing intelligence to the enemy.

Dennis Lyakhov, 30, is thought to have come into contact with an Iranian agent via the Telegram messaging app and carried out various tasks at his behest in exchange for money.

The defendant was in touch with the foreign agent from late February to mid-March, and had been residing in Latvia for part of this period, the indictment charges. The indictment states that he knowingly carried out the tasks for an Iranian agent.

According to prosecutors, while he was in Latvia, the defendant was paid NIS 70 ($20) to write the words “FUCK BIBI” on a piece of paper and film himself setting it on fire.

Upon returning to Israel, Lyakhov was told by the agent to film a street and apartment buildings in Petah Tikva and send the documentation. However, he instead went to a separate location in the city and filmed that instead. The agent paid him NIS 254 ($75) for carrying out the task.

He was later enlisted to go to a car dealership in Netanya and inquire about the prices of seven different vehicles while filming the interaction. He was paid in advance, but did not follow through with the task.

Prosecutors are requesting that the Central District Court in Lod keep the defendant in custody until the end of legal proceedings against him.

IDF soldier killed in combat in northern Gaza
[IsraelTimes] Sgt. Yisrael Natan Rosenfeld, 20, killed in explosion; Hamas-linked agency says 17 killed by IDF fire across Strip; PM to hold high-level meet on war, hostage talks

An Israel Defense Forces soldier was killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday, the military announced.

The slain soldier was named as Sgt. Yisrael Natan Rosenfeld, 20, of the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion, from Ra’anana.

According to an initial IDF probe, Rosenfeld was killed by an explosive device during operations in the Kafr Jabalia area.

His death brought Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip to 441.

Sunday also saw reports of yet another mass casualty event attributed to IDF fire — in what has become a near-daily occurrence — near an aid distribution site in southern Gaza run by the Israeli- and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
I have to wonder how many of those bullets came from Hamas guns. They need the funds that come from controlling aid supplies in the Gaza Strip, now that they can’t access their smuggling tunnels.
Earlier, the military ordered Palestinians to evacuate areas in the northern part of the Strip, expecting intensified fighting against Hamas.

At the same time, a senior Israeli official told The Times of Israel that Jerusalem was actively working to reach a hostage-ceasefire deal. Top officials are expected to meet Sunday night to discuss the war and negotiation efforts.

Palestinian and Arab media outlets reported Sunday that five people were killed and dozens more injured by Israeli army fire near an aid distribution site operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation in southern Gaza’s Rafah area.

No footage from the scene has been published so far. There has been no comment from the IDF.

According to health authorities in the Hamas-run Strip, nearly 500 people have been killed, allegedly by Israeli forces, near GHF aid distribution sites, which are set up in areas controlled by the IDF and far from population centers. The GHF has denied responsibility for the deaths, noting that it is operating in a war zone.

Israeli officials have said soldiers sometimes fire on suspects who deviate from approved paths and who are deemed to be endangering the forces, and have suggested the victim numbers have been exaggerated.

Gaza’s Hamas-linked civil defense agency said that Israeli airstrikes and gunfire killed at least 17 people, including three children, throughout Gaza on Sunday.

Civil defense spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP that 16 people died in airstrikes at five locations around the Strip, and another from Israeli fire near an aid distribution center.

Bassal said two children were killed in an airstrike on their home in Gaza City’s Zeitun neighborhood in the early morning, and that “the house was completely destroyed.”
The IDF has multiple times warned y’all to leave Gaza City because they would be fighting Hamas there. It does no good to complain afterward when you and yours came to harm because you stayed to be human shields for Hamas.
A member of the family, Abdel Rahman Azzam, 45, told AFP, “We evacuated more than 20 injured people, including two martyrs, two children from the family,” Azzam said.

“They bombed the house with a missile without any prior warning. This is a horrific crime. We sleep without knowing if we will wake up.”
Nobody else gives warning, especially Hamas. Stop acting like a spoilt baby and take your consequences like a mensch.
Elsewhere, Bassal said a drone strike on a tent housing displaced people near the southern city of Khan Younis killed five people including a child.

The IDF says it targets terror operatives in Gaza who it accuses of embedding within the civilian population.
See? Complain to Hamas, guys. War is not a video game.
A senior Israeli official told The Times of Israel on Sunday that Jerusalem was continuing to work actively on a hostage-truce deal in Gaza.

It would come after months of stagnation following the last deal’s collapse in March, when Israel refused to enter talks for a permanent end to the war.

“There are ongoing contacts through the mediating countries, and we are in continuous contact with the Americans,” said the official.

Overnight, US President Donald Trump called for Israel to “make the deal in Gaza.”

Also on Sunday, the Jerusalem District Court announced it was canceling Netanyahu’s scheduled testimony in his criminal trial this week, partially acceding to a request that it be delayed for the next two weeks due to diplomatic and national security issues.

The heads of IDF Military Intelligence and Mossad were present in a closed-door meeting advocating the pause. The judges said substantial additional information had been provided, leading them to agree to the pause this time, after two previous requests were rejected last week.

It is not clear whether the information pertained to a deal in Gaza.

Army tells civilians to leave northern Gaza again as offensive ratchets up

[IsraelTimes] The IDF re-issues a wide evacuation warning for Palestinians in the Gaza City and Jabalia areas in the northern Gaza Strip.

The area was already ordered to evacuate on May 29, and has been part of a no-go zone since.

Civilians are instructed to head for the Mawasi area on the coast in Gaza’s south.

“The IDF is operating with extreme force in these areas, and these military operations will escalate, intensify, and extend westward to the city center to destroy the capabilities of the terrorist organizations,” says the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee in a post on X.

“Hamas is bringing a disaster upon you. Returning to dangerous combat zones poses a danger to your lives,” he adds.

Shin Bet nabs 60 Hamas members in largest West Bank anti-terror operation in decade
[IsraelTimes] Security agency uncovers firearms, grenades; reveals that members underwent training, conducted surveillance with intention of carrying out major attacks

The Shin Bet security agency said Sunday that it had arrested over 60 Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
operatives over the past few months as part of one of the largest crackdowns on a West Bank terror network in recent years.

In a statement, the agency said that in the past three months, during joint operations with the IDF and police, "a significant, complex, and large-scale Hamas infrastructure was exposed in Hebron," with those involved accused of planning a variety of types of attacks "in the immediate time frame."

"This is the largest and most complex investigation by the Shin Bet in the Judea and Samaria area in the past decade," a senior Shin Bet official said in the statement, referring to the West Bank.

The Shin Bet said its interrogations found that senior Hamas operatives from the Hebron area, most of whom were formerly placed in durance vile
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
by Israel, "worked to recruit, arm, and train additional Hamas operatives from the area to carry out shooting and bombing attacks against Israeli targets."

"It was also revealed that members of the infrastructure conducted firearms training, gathered intelligence on Israeli targets, manufactured kaboom, and assembled bombs, all with the aim of carrying out major attacks on behalf of Hamas" in the West Bank and in Israel, the agency said. No attacks were actually carried out, though some of those arrested were accused of having taken part in a deadly shooting nearly 15 years ago.

Over 60 members of Hamas involved in 10 linked terror cells were detained by Israeli forces, the Shin Bet said. During their interrogations, they provided information that led to additional suspects, though no details were provided about the other arrests.

The agency said it also uncovered 22 firearms and 11 grenades, along with other weapons and large amounts of ammunition. Additionally, an underground arsenal and hideout was uncovered, it said.

Based on information provided under interrogation, some of those arrested were accused of involvement in an August 2010 shooting attack at Bani Naim Junction near Hebron, in which four Israelis — Yitzhak and Tali Ames, and two passengers in their car, Kochava Even Chaim and Avishai Schindler — were murdered.

Additionally, the interrogations led to the arrests of several suspects involved in supplying guns to a Hamas cell that shot and killed Cpl. Avraham Fetena, a Military Police soldier, in a November 2023 attack on a West Bank checkpoint on Route 60, south of Jerusalem, the Shin Bet said.

"The exposure of the infrastructure, which operated covertly while maintaining compartmentalization between the different cells, constitutes a significant thwarting of Hamas’s intentions to carry out a series of major attacks in Israel," the Shin Bet official added.

Indictments were filed against the suspects, accusing them of severe crimes, including heading a terror organization, and the equivalent of attempted murder and attempted conspiracy to commit murder.

Since October 7, 2023, when Hamas led a devastating invasion of southern Israel from the Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip that triggered the ongoing war in the enclave, troops have arrested some 6,000 Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas.

According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, more than 950 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or Death Eaters carrying out attacks.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran claims 71 were killed in Israeli strike on Evin prison
[IsraelTimes] Spokesperson says victims include administrative staff, youth doing military service, detainees and their family members, and people who lived in vicinity

Israel’s attack on the Evin Prison in Iran’s capital, Tehran, on June 23 killed 71 people, Iranian judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir said on Sunday.

At the end of an air war with Iran, Israel struck Tehran’s most notorious jail for political prisoners, in what was seen as a demonstration that it was expanding its targets beyond military and nuclear sites to aim at symbols of Iran’s ruling system.

"In the attack on Evin prison, 71 people were martyred, including administrative staff, youth doing their military service, detainees, family members of detainees who were visiting them, and neighbors who lived in the prison’s vicinity," Jahangir said in remarks carried on the judiciary’s news outlet Mizan.

The figures and details could not be confirmed.

Jahangir had previously said that part of Evin prison’s administrative building had been damaged in the attack, and people were killed and injured. The judiciary added that the remaining detainees had been transferred to other prisons in Tehran province.

Mizan has confirmed that the top prosecutor at the prison was killed in the strike.

Ali Ghanaatkar’s prosecution of dissidents, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi, led to widespread criticism by human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
groups.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said last week that the Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
hit the gate of the prison, a large and heavily fortified complex where Iran has incarcerated political prisoners, journalists, academics, human rights activists, foreign nationals, and others.

The bombing drew condemnation from the UN human rights office and La Belle France.

"Evin prison is not a military objective, and targeting it constitutes a grave breach of international humanitarian law," UN human rights office spokesperson Thameen al-Kheetan told news hounds in Geneva on Tuesday, without naming Israel.

He said that his office had received reports of fires inside the facility and an unspecified number of injuries.

Evin prison holds a number of foreign nationals, including two French citizens detained for three years.

"The strike targeting Evin prison in Tehran put our citizens Cecile Kohler and Jacques Gay Paree in danger. It is unacceptable," La Belle France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on social media X after the attack.

Overall, Iran is believed to hold around 20 European nationals in what some Western governments describe as a strategy of hostage-taking aimed at extracting concessions from the West.
