[IsraelTimes] Muhammad Al-Ghamari reportedly seriously hurt in assassination attempt, was initially said to have been meeting other Houthi leaders
Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... military chief of staff Muhammad al-Ghamari was at a khat-leaf-chewing gathering when an Israeli strike targeted him over the weekend, Hebrew media reported Wednesday.
While some Hebrew media reports initially said Saturday that al-Ghamari was believed to have been meeting with other Houthi leaders at the time of the strike, the Kan public broadcaster reported Wednesday evening that he was attending a social gathering for taking the drug.
Kan reported that the defense establishment received word that the Houthi military chief had been seriously injured in the strike and the attempted liquidation had ultimately failed.
The IDF did not comment on the report.

According to the Ynet news site, the Houthis set up roadblocks in the area after the incident, and ambulances were called.
It cited a source in Yemen as saying that al-Ghamari, trained in Iran, had coordinated between the Houthis and Iran, and overseen the Houthis’ missile program.

[Breitbart] Leftist direct action group Palestinian Action, which has been engaged in a campaign of violent sabotage of Israel-linked supply chains since the October 7th attacks, has claimed responsibility for a strike against the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force overnight.
Two RAF logistics jets were damaged at one of Britain’s most theoretically secure airfields overnight into Friday by Palestinian Action activists who were able to escape undetected.
Two activists were able to infiltrate RAF Brize Norton, cause damage with paint-filled fire extinguishers and crowbars, paint a symbol on the runway and hang a Palestinian flag before leaving the area, all without being caught.
The air base is a legally protected place in British law and is heavily guarded, leaving serious questions asked about the state of its defence given two activists on e-scooters were able to cause damage undetected. The Commanding Officer of RAF Brize Norton, Group Captain Louise Henton OBE, a career “personnel and administrative officer” deactivated her X account on Friday morning after news of the infiltration became public.

Haiti goes from bad to worse — this is a country demonstrably incapable of self rule. Unfortunately, sending in a UNSC Mandate government to rule them for three generations, retraining the culture into something civilized, is not possible in the post-colonial zeitgeist, both to vote for it and to do the hard work.
[Breitbart] A mob of angry Haitian citizens stormed a hydroelectric plant in the town of Mirebalais on Wednesday, plunging the capital city of Port-au-Prince into darkness, in an attempt to protest the lack of government action against gang violence.
The people of Mirebalais did something similar in May, swarming into the Peligre dam and shutting down its power plant to protest police inaction. Gangsters had swarmed into the town in late March, murdering dozens of people, burning houses, and taking over the local prison.
Peligre is Haiti’s main power plant, an aging facility that dates back to the 1950s and currently runs at a little over half its rated capacity due to poor maintenance. Mirebalais residents decided to storm the facility after the invading gangsters treated themselves to a big concert in the middle of town on May 11. Furious residents took the concert as a symbolic demonstration of gang supremacy and government weakness.
“If the police were serious, that event would never have happened. Now I just sit outside playing dominoes. I can’t even go to town anymore,” a local man complained in May.
The power plant remained offline for several days in May, which angry locals said was further proof of the government’s passivity and incompetence.
Although the townsfolk might seem to have been hurting themselves by causing a blackout, many of them already used portable generators. Supporters of the dam protest said they wanted to make the wealthy political elites in the nation’s capital feel as helpless and uncomfortable as the poor residents of rural communities.
Police officials insisted they did fight back when the gangs invaded Mirebalais, killing some 60 gang members and losing at least one officer from the Anti-Gang Tactical Unit in gun battles. Local vigilante groups managed to kill a few more of the hoodlums.
The Viv Ansanm gang coalition nevertheless declared itself in control of the town, posting photos of hostages it captured and buildings it destroyed. Hundreds of residents fled the town in terror. Other towns feared it was only a matter of time until they were attacked next.
The new storming of the Peligre dam occurred on Wednesday after the police had a showdown with the gangsters occupying Mirebalais – and lost. The victorious gangsters were reportedly able to capture a vehicle from the outmatched security forces and set it on fire.
The gangs uploaded footage of their celebratory car-burning to social media, and a few hours later, the irate residents of Mirebalais uploaded video of themselves overrunning the power plant and knocking over one of its transmission towers.
[Rudaw] Two Kurdish men from Sulaimani province’s Kalar town were killed in the Dunkirk jungle in northern La Belle France, a notorious hub for migrants colonists hoping to reach Britannia by boat, sources told Rudaw.
The incident occurred on Sunday and resulted in the deaths of Karzan Abdullah and Mohammed Najm. Another Kurdish person, whose identity remains unknown, was injured. Authorities have not confirmed the incident as of the time of writing.
"Karzan lived in Germany for more than ten years, but he would go to La Belle France and the Dunkirk jungle for work," Abdullah’s cousin told Rudaw on Monday.
Abdullah was a former football player for a club in the Kurdistan Region. Najm was his friend and fellow townsman.
Ranj Pishdari, a migrant rights activist in Europe, told Rudaw that "Karzan got into an argument with someone from [Sulaimani’s] Chamchamal [district]. Mohammed Najm wanted to calm Karzan down and take the weapon from him, but at that moment, a bullet accidentally went off and killed Karzan.
"When Mohammed realized that Karzan was accidentally killed because of him, he ended his own life with the same weapon at the same location," Pishdari said.
Rudaw English could not independently verify Pishdari’s account of the tragic incident.
AFP cited a local police source on Monday as saying that a shooting at a migrant camp in Dunkirk on Sunday left one dead and two people seriously maimed, with no information released about the victims' identities. It remains unclear whether this incident is connected to the one involving the two Kurds.
The Dunkirk jungle, located about 235 kilometers north of Gay Paree near the French coast, is a well-known gathering point for migrants colonists attempting to cross to the UK by boat. Many engage in informal trade or smuggling to sustain themselves.
In December, a shooting spree in the Dunkirk area killed five people, including two Kurds from Iran’s western Kurdish areas (Rojhelat) who sought to cross the English Channel.

[FoxNews] Grzegorz Vandenberg, 48, is facing federal charges for allegedly buying fireworks with the intent to harm law enforcement officers and government officials at the Los Angeles protests, the Department of Justice said in a press release.
Vandenberg allegedly visited a travel center in New Mexico, where he "requested assistance in selecting fireworks that could be thrown directly at people to cause harm," according to prosecutors.
While at the store, federal authorities allege, he told employees he previously served in the military’s special forces and claimed he could make pipe bombs before revealing he was planning to travel to Los Angeles to kill law enforcement officers and government officials in the anti-ICE riots.
"This man allegedly intended to use the chaotic riots in Los Angeles as an opportunity to commit deadly violence against law enforcement officers," Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. "Threats like these strike at the heart of law and order. We will not hesitate to bring federal charges against anyone who seeks to harm law enforcement or endanger the safety of our communities."
Staff members at the store told authorities Vandenberg requested to buy the "largest explosives available" and invited an employee to join him at the riots, the DOJ said.
He also allegedly claimed to be in possession of mortar explosives and further revealed his plan to use them on officers at the riots. Vandenberg ultimately "purchased six mortars," each containing 60 grams of gunpowder, and 36 large fireworks, according to federal prosecutors.
"Our message is clear: If you come after law enforcement officers, the FBI will spare no effort to find you and bring you to justice," FBI Director Kash Patel said. "This defendant allegedly intended to use explosives to attack police officers currently conducting law enforcement operations in Los Angeles and – with the help of a store cashier who took down his license plate information – we were able to put a stop to that plan."
Vandenberg was charged with transporting explosives in interstate commerce with the knowledge and intent that they would be used to kill, injure or intimidate individuals, according to the DOJ. He is in custody as he awaits trial and faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.

[Jpost] Israel launched Operation "Rising Lion" last Friday, marking a powerful opening strike in its war against Iran. The operation successfully eliminated many senior figures in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and key individuals involved in Iran’s nuclear program.
In a striking twist, the operation targeting Iran’s nuclear scientists is known as "Narnia" in Israel, a name that reflects the operation’s improbable nature, like something out of a fantasy tale rather than a real-world event.
The Mossad responded to this message with a tweet of their own: "Iran claims to have attacked a Mossad building with missile strikes. Fortunately, no one was there... everyone is in Iran."
Throughout the operation, Israeli intelligence officials categorized Iran’s nuclear scientists into four levels for elimination, ranking them from highest to lowest priority. The scientists with the most military expertise and the greatest difficulty in replacing them were ranked highest. Israel then compiled a hit list, ready for execution at command, with the most dangerous scientists at the top.
The successful strike, which also targeted nuclear scientists, was made possible by the Intelligence Directorate’s precise intelligence. The killed scientists and experts were pivotal figures in Iran’s nuclear program, with decades of accumulated experience in nuclear weapons development. Many were direct successors of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, often regarded as the father of Iran’s nuclear program.
KEY SCIENTISTS ELIMINATED IN THE STRIKE
Among the senior nuclear scientists eliminated during the operation were:
Fereydoun Abbasi, a nuclear engineering expert
Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, a physics expert
Akbar Matlali Zadeh, a chemical engineering expert
Saeed Beraji, a materials engineering expert
Amir Hassan Faqahi, a physics expert
Abd al-Hamid Minushahr, a reactor physics expert
Mansour Asgari, a physics expert
Ahmad Reza Davalparki Daryani, a nuclear engineering expert
Ali Bakhayi Kathehremi, a mechanical expert
BEHIND THE SCENES: PLANNING THE OPERATION
A senior IDF official provided insight into the operation's planning: "120 individuals from Military Intelligence and the Air Force were brought into a facility in Unit 8200 to plan the operation. By January, the pressure was mounting as no solutions had been found. The consensus was clear - we needed to develop solutions targeting air defense systems."
The official added, "In the past year, we began constructing a target bank, and the breakthrough came when we discovered an intelligence base and an air force base. However, the target bank did not yet contain enough targets. Each team had its own mission: killing nuclear scientists, eliminating command centers, and radar systems. That’s when Operation 'Rising Lion' began."
PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE: ISRAEL’S NEW APPROACH
In an unexpected move, Israel has also embraced psychological warfare, a strategy typically associated with terror regimes but one that Israel has traditionally avoided. On Wednesday, a message posted on the IDF’s X/Twitter account in Persian urged Iranian citizens to contact the Mossad. The message implied that some members within the regime were begging Israel not to turn Iran into another Gaza or Lebanon. It read in Persian: "We understand that you are in a difficult situation under the conditions imposed by the regime. In recent days, we have received messages from our loved ones who fear the uncertain future."
The message continued, "Even members of the regime’s security institutions are expressing fear, despair, and anger at what is happening in Iran and are asking us to contact the Israeli authorities - to avoid the same fate as Gaza and Lebanon. However, we must clarify that we are not the address for such requests, and we direct you to contact the Mossad. Perhaps you will find a way to improve your situation." A link to the Mossad was provided, with a warning to use a secure and encrypted connection (VPN).
The Mossad responded to this message with a tweet of their own: "Iran claims to have attacked a Mossad building with missile strikes. Fortunately, no one was there... everyone is in Iran."
[HodhodYemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... News] The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Thursday the launch of the fifteenth wave of missile and drone attacks on military targets and industrial centers linked to the military industry in the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv.
The attack comes in the context of the Operation True Promise 3, according to the statement
Today’s operation includes more than 100 combat and suicide drones, primarily targeting air defense systems in Haifa and Tel Aviv, the statement added.
"Escalated and effective missile operations that impact the military infrastructure and arms industry of the enemy remain the top priority at the current stage."
In the morning of the same day, the Iranian Armed Forces fires a wave of missiles, causing fires and much destruction in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
Iran’s Tasnim News Agency published on Thursday a map showing the precise targets of the Iranian missiles that struck Israeli military headquarters in Beersheva.
At least one ballistic missile launched by Iran at Israel in a barrage on Thursday morning was carrying a cluster bomb warhead, the Israel Defense Forces said, marking a dangerous new development after nearly a week of attacks.
The IDF Home Front Command said the missile’s warhead split while descending, at an altitude of around 7 kilometers (4.3 miles), spreading around 20 smaller munitions at a radius of around 8 kilometers (5 miles).
The munitions do not have their own propulsion or guidance and simply fall to the ground, where they are designed to explode on impact. An Israeli military official said such a missile poses a threat to a much wider area than Iran’s other ballistic missile warheads, but the explosion from each of the cluster bombs is far smaller.
One of the small munitions, with an explosive warhead of around 2.5 kilograms, struck a home in the central town of Azor, causing damage equivalent to that of a small rocket.
Many of the other munitions did not explode, according to the military official. The unexploded ordnance still poses a danger to anyone who happens upon them.
Home Front Command said sappers had found and disposed of 20 bombs, but warned that it could not be sure that others were still out there. It warned the public not to approach any missile remains they may find on the ground, which effectively act as landmines, and to alert authorities immediately if one is spotted.
Human rights groups have long campaigned for cluster bombs to be banned due to the random, indiscriminate nature of the threat they pose, unlike other types of munitions that can be used to precisely target combatants or military assets while minimizing harm to civilians.
In total, 112 countries have signed a 2008 convention banning the production, storage, sale, and use of cluster munitions. Iran and Israel are not among them.
The text of the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions says cluster bombs “kill or maim civilians, including women and children, obstruct economic and social development… impede post-conflict rehabilitation and reconstruction (and) delay or prevent the return of refugees and internally displaced persons… for many years after use.”
Three other missiles that directly impacted sites in Israel during the Thursday morning attack were carrying conventional warheads with hundreds of kilograms of explosives.
The volley of some 20 ballistic missiles was the latest in a series of daily attacks Iran has carried out since Israel launched an offensive against the Islamic Republic last week.
Missiles carrying large warheads hit Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and residential buildings in Ramat Gan and Holon, causing extensive damage and wounding dozens, including six seriously.
It was unclear how many other missiles were carrying cluster bomb warheads, as the rest were intercepted by air defenses.
Israel says its sweeping assault on Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites, and ballistic missile program, which began last Friday, is necessary to prevent the Islamic Republic from realizing its avowed plan to destroy the Jewish state.
Iran has retaliated by launching over 450 missiles and around 1,000 drones at Israel. So far, 24 people have been killed in Israel and hundreds have been wounded.
…which isn’t much for that many attempts.
Some of the ballistic missiles have hit apartment buildings in Israel, causing heavy damage.
The major public hospital, which serves around 1 million people living in southern Israel, sustained extensive damage in the strike. Several wards were completely destroyed, with debris scattered across the parking lot and surrounding walkways.
The Health Ministry said 71 people were maimed in the attack, most of them suffering light injuries or panic attacks as they rushed for shelter. Hospital staff evacuated patients and cordoned off damaged areas.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they had targeted Israeli military and intelligence headquarters near the hospital. An Israeli military official denied there were military targets nearby.
The hospital began moving patients out of some buildings in recent days as part of emergency precautions in response to the Iranian strikes. It has since limited admissions to life-threatening cases only.
Patients in the damaged building were taken to an underground facility just hours before the strike, a statement from the Israeli Health Ministry said.
An Iranian ballistic missile carrying a powerful warhead slammed into a residential area in the central city of Holon on Thursday morning, destroying several apartment buildings, injuring dozens, and forcing people to flee with little more than the clothes on their backs as emergency crews scrambled to pull survivors from the wreckage.
The strike was part of a broader Iranian missile barrage targeting central and southern Israel, sending hundreds to hospitals. At least six people suffered serious injuries nationwide, four of them in Holon.
Holon fire chief Shaul Rachamim confirmed that all those trapped beneath the rubble had been rescued and taken to nearby hospitals within two hours of the impact.
The missile struck a dense five-building complex in the working-class city south of Tel Aviv, hurling debris across the area and shattering windows blocks away. At the impact site, buildings were partially reduced to rubble, with whole sections collapsing from the strike.
The widespread damage was testament to the massive warheads Iran is putting on its missiles, often carrying hundreds of kilograms of explosives, several times the magnitude of missiles fired by terror groups in Gaza or Lebanon that Israelis have become accustomed to dealing with.
“We’re used to having patients with minor injuries,” Lazarovich said. “Now we’re seeing crush injuries, severe burns, smoke inhalation, and everything in between.”
“These missiles carry hundreds of pounds of explosives,” he added. “We have to adapt.”
Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, who heads Israel’s Home Front Command, commended Holon residents for seeking shelter, as warned, ahead of the strike, likely saving lives and minimizing the extent of injuries.
“The civilians who were in the building heard the warning, the advance directive, went down to a shared private shelter located at the bottom of the building, and this saved their lives,” he said, calling it “an extraordinary example of civilian behavior.”
The Holon strike was one of several caused by a barrage of roughly 30 Iranian ballistic missiles launched Thursday morning. Other direct hits were reported at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba and in Ramat Gan.

Though it was the second missile in as many days to hit the city, where Jews and Arabs both live, it was a sign of a vastly diminished Iranian attack capability. The size and frequency of missile barrages has fallen steadily.
Khamenei’s bluster seemed disconnected from the reality of conflict, as the IDF struck many targets in Iran overnight, including nuclear sites, missile production facilities, and key symbols of the Iranian regime.

[Regnum] The Iranian military launched a missile attack on the Israeli army's cyber command headquarters and intelligence center in Gav Yam. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA.
"The main targets of the attack were a major IDF C4I command and control center and a military intelligence camp in Gav Yam. These facilities house thousands of troops, digital command systems, cyber operations, and C4ISR systems of the Zionist army," the statement said.
The agency also clarified that the main target of this strike was military facilities, and a nearby hospital was only slightly damaged by the blast wave.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Thursday evening that Israel is "ahead of schedule" in its military campaign against Iran, exceeding prior expectations and poised for further success.
In a rare Hebrew-language interview with the Kan public broadcaster, Netanyahu said Israel has destroyed at least half of Iran’s missile launchers, eliminated key military leaders, is targeting paramilitary forces and will hit all of Iran’s nuclear sites — including the heavily fortified Fordo nuclear facility.
"We are ahead of the schedule we set, both in terms of timing and results," the premier said, nearly a week after Israel launched what it says is a preemptive campaign to neutralize an existential nuclear threat from Iran.
"The work has been outstanding," Netanyahu said, explaining that he decided on the plan when a series of IDF operations left Iran’s strongest proxy, Hezbollah, "on its knees" toward the end of last year, and it became clear that Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. "The elimination of [former Hezbollah head Hassan] Nasrallah," along with Israel’s gains against the Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... terror group, "broke the Iranian axis. What does [Iran] have left?... This operation has been in planning for many months," the prime minister added.
Addressing concerns over Israel’s reportedly depleted stock of Arrow missile interceptors, Netanyahu said the US was resupplying them and emphasized that "We’re striking [Iran’s] launchers. It doesn’t matter so much how many rockets they have. What matters is how many launchers they have — and we’re already getting there. I think we’ve already passed the halfway mark of their launchers."
A day earlier, the IDF had said around 40% of launchers were destroyed.
Netanyahu praised Israeli resilience under fire, comparing the home front to British society during the Blitz, the WWII German bombing campaign against Great Britannia.
’MORE TO COME’
Addressing whether Israel is concerned about any "non-conventional" Iranian missiles or weaponry, Netanyahu said the IDF is "systematically" targeting Iran’s full range of weapons systems, including any non-conventional arms.
Netanyahu still would not say whether assassinating Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini is on the table. He repeated his stance that regime change lies with the "Iranian people alone," but added, "We’re also striking government targets, symbols of the regime. You’ve seen it — the broadcast station and others. And there’s more to come."
"We are doing everything necessary — and there will still be much more," the premier continued, saying Israel is also targeting the Basij paramilitary militia of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, known for suppressing dissent in Iran.
"We’re also striking the Basij... this kind of internal police force of a million people. We’ve inflicted heavy damage, and we will continue to strike their targets," Netanyahu said.
The Basij consists mostly of volunteers and is used for internal security, regime enforcement, and suppression of dissent. Khamenei deployed the IRGC and the Basij militia to quell national protests in 1999, 2009, and 2022.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that Israeli Air Force fighter jets "destroyed the headquarters of the Iranian regime’s internal security, the main arm of the Iranian dictator’s oppression," but Iranian media said that ordinary Iranian police, not the Basij, were targeted in the attack.
Asked whether Israel can destroy the underground Fordo facility without assistance from the United States, Netanyahu said, "We will achieve all our objectives and hit all of their nuclear facilities. We have the capability to do that."
Fordo is buried under a mountain and widely considered to be out of reach of all but America’s "bunker-buster" bombs.
Earlier Thursday, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel that Israel expects the US will decide on whether or not to join the offensive against Iran within the next 24-48 hours, though a White House spokesperson later said Trump would decide "within two weeks."
Whether US President Donald Trump ...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party... "wants to join or not — that’s entirely his decision," Netanyahu added.
"He’ll do what’s good for the United States, and I’ll do what’s good for the State of Israel," said Netanyahu, while adding that "as the saying goes — every contribution is welcome."
Pressed by Kan’s Ayala Hasson on Trump’s backing for a strike despite his earlier support for diplomacy, Netanyahu replied, "I’m not going to get into my discussions with the president of the United States."
"I speak with him almost daily — very good conversations," Netanyahu said, adding "there will be a time" to reveal what was said between the leaders, but "let’s not call on the historical archive to release itself just yet."
WITH OR WITHOUT THE US
Netanyahu said the "one thing" he can say is that "the United States recognized our right to defend ourselves from an existential threat," and that unlike Trump’s predecessor Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Too old and senile to be prosecuted, not too old and senile to set national policy... , the incumbent US president at no point "tried to stop us."
Netanyahu accused Biden of trying to block earlier operations against Iranian proxies: "He imposed an embargo, said: ’Don’t enter Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... , don’t go into Rafah.'" The premier stated that he resisted Biden’s warnings, which Netanyahu said set a precedent for how he’ll act if Israel faces similar pressure during the Iran war.
"I told him, ’Joe, I have no choice. You’re the president of the United States, I’m the prime minister of the Jewish state — we’re going in.’ So first of all, there’s already a precedent: Even if a US president tries to stop us — he won’t," said Netanyahu.
"By the way, this time, he didn’t try to stop us," added the premier in reference to this Trump.
Netanyahu also declared that during internal discussions about the operation over the last six months, other senior Israeli officials fretted over not receiving "a green light from the Americans."
"You know what my answer was? We’re not asking for a green light. Either way, we’re going to do this, because we have no choice. We will not allow 3,500 years of Jewish history to come to an end because of this deranged ayatollah," said Netanyahu, appearing to reference Khamenei.
Netanyahu added that Israel was prepared for the cost of the conflict: "We were told towers will fall in a war with Iran. But any outcome, no matter how difficult, is not the destruction of millions. Not the destruction of Jewish history. That’s why I had no doubt."
"Whatever the outcome is — even the worst-case scenario — we don’t dwell on predictions. Despite...the pain of losing precious civilians, we’re talking here about the possible destruction of millions...of Jewish history, of the people of Israel, God forbid...There was no other option."
Turning to the war in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu argued that the conflict with Iran helps advance the return of the remaining hostages held by Hamas in the territory.
The "only real thing" preventing an end to the Gaza war is the hostages, according to the premier, who said the operation against the Islamic Theocratic Republic helps secure the captives’ return since "Hamas relies on Iran."
Netanyahu would not provide Hasson with even a rough timeframe for the campaign against Iran, declaring simply that it will be over “by the end of the operation.”

Israel strikes Iranian nuclear reactor
[Yahoo-Telegraph] Israel struck an Iranian reactor in the central city of Arak on Thursday in its latest efforts to destroy the regime’s nuclear programme.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it targeted Iran’s heavy water nuclear reactor, striking what it described as "a key component in plutonium production".
A black and white video, circulated online by the IDF, showed a missile crashing into the target, followed by a large explosion.
Both sides have been fighting for nearly a week since Israel launched attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and killed several top generals and nuclear scientists.
On Thursday, Israel said its warplanes also struck a facility at Natanz, a key Iranian nuclear site, which was being used to develop nuclear weapons, a military front man said.
The IDF said: "The site houses unique components and equipment used for the development of nuclear weapons, and hosts projects that enable the acceleration of the nuclear weapons programme."
Earlier on Thursday, the IDF announced it had struck a nuclear site in Bushehr, which sits on the Gulf coast and is understood to be Iran’s only operating power plant.
The announcement caused concern among neighbouring Gulf states because of the contamination risk to the surrounding air and water.
But Israel was forced to retract i,t admitting it had been "a mistake". When pushed, a front man said it could "neither confirm nor deny" whether the reactor was attacked.
Israel has said its goal for the war is to demolish Iran’s nuclear programme, which the West fears is close to building a bomb.
Some officials signalling that the attacks are also aimed at forcing the collapse of the Iranian regime, with possible US support in the near future.
The Arak nuclear reactor has been a key feature of Iran’s nuclear programme for decades, with Tehran insisting that it is only used for civilian purposes and not for the creation of nuclear bombs.
In 2016, Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... agreed to remove the core of the Arak reactor and fill it up with concrete under the now-defunct Iran nuclear deal, which eased sanctions on Tehran in exchange for curbing the nuclear programme. The first Trump administration withdrew from the nuclear pact in 2018.
In 2019, Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran’s nuclear programme chief, said Tehran had replaced a calandria, a key component in the reactor, so that work on the programme could resume.
The IDF said: "The reactor is designed to produce high-yield plutonium, which would enable the acquisition of nuclear weapons. The attack was carried out against the component intended for producing plutonium, thus preventing its ability to be reused to produce nuclear weapons."
It added that it had also carried out overnight strikes, involving 40 aircraft and 100 munitions, against several Iranian military facilities.
The UN nuclear watchdog confirmed Thursday that IDF strikes had hit Iran’s partially built Khondab Heavy Water Research Reactor and damaged the nearby plant that makes heavy water, a component used in nuclear react.
“IAEA has information the Khondab (former Arak) heavy water research reactor, under construction, was hit. It was not operational and contained no nuclear material, so no radiological effects,” the International Atomic Energy Agency said in a post on X.
In its first statement on the attack in central Iran, the IAEA said it had no information indicating the nearby plant that produces heavy water had been hit. The agency later issued a statement revising that assessment.
“While damage to the nearby Heavy Water Production Plant was initially not visible, it is now assessed that key buildings at the facility were damaged, including the distillation unit,” the IAEA statement said.
The strike on the Arak heavy water reactor came a week into Israel’s campaign of airstrikes against the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program and military leadership.
Heavy water reactors use heavy water, also known as deuterium oxide, as a moderator, a material that slows down fast-moving neutrons released during the nuclear fission process that generates heat in the reactor.
The Arak facility that was struck overnight Thursday was originally designed in a way that would make it capable of easily producing plutonium, which could be used to produce nuclear arms.
Under a 2015 deal with major powers, the heavy water plant was redesigned to reduce the nuclear weaponization risk and its core was removed and filled with concrete. Iran had informed the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency the reactor would start operation in 2026.
The IDF, which issued a warning to residents of the area to evacuate ahead of the strike, said the attack on Arak “targeted the component intended for plutonium production, in order to prevent the reactor from being restored and used for nuclear weapons development.”
Even if unique U.S. conventional strike capabilities are brought to bear, there could still be significant targeting challenges, especially if the Iranians move to disperse elements of their nuclear program.

[IsraelTimes] Iranian state media claims that Ali Shamkhani, a top adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, is alive and recovering from serious injuries in a hospital, despite reporting last week that he had been killed in an Israeli strike.
Several news outlets, including the IRGC-controlled Fars News Agency and the semi-official Mehr news agency, carry a statement attributed to Shamkhani. Last week, the same agencies reported that he had been killed in Israel’s initial wave of airstrikes on June 13.
“I am alive and ready to sacrifice myself,” reads the statement attributed to Shamkhani. "I'm not dead yet. I feel haaappy"
The news outlets claim that he is recovering from serious wounds sustained in the Israeli strike and that he is in stable condition.

[IsraelTimes] Transmission interrupted with footage from 2022 women’s protests against the regime; state broadcaster later warns viewers that ‘Zionist enemy’ is disrupting satellite service
Iranian media said Wednesday that Israel briefly hacked the state television broadcast, airing footage of women’s protests and urging people to take to the streets.
…which does not mean that it was Israel that dunnit…
On its Telegram channel, the Hamshahri daily newspaper shared a video of the brief disruption with a text saying “hackers infiltrated state television and broadcast a call asking people to take to the streets.”
Iran’s state television later warned viewers that this was “due to cyberattacks carried out by the Zionist enemy that is disrupting the satellite transmission.”
Israel’s United Nations spokesperson Jonathan Harounoff also shared a clip of the television disruption.
The clip apparently contained footage from 2022 during mass protests against the government over the death of Mahsa Amini, a woman held by the country’s morality police.
It came as Iran limited internet service, claiming Israel was using the medium for military purposes.
Earlier Wednesday, Israel had hit Iran’s police headquarters in Tehran, as the IDF kept up heavy strikes across the Islamic Republic on the sixth day of fighting between the two countries, and as thousands continued to flee the Iranian capital.
Jets “destroyed the headquarters of the Iranian regime’s internal security, the main arm of the Iranian dictator’s oppression,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said.
And on Monday, Israel bombed Iran’s state broadcaster building in Tehran in the middle of a transmission, sending Sahar Emami, an anchor at the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network, hurrying off-camera as the screen behind her cut out.
Israeli media pundits have noted that some of Israel’s bombing runs in Iran are destroying the state’s symbols of power and its ability to govern, a move that would pave the way for an uprising against the regime.
