Trump deploys Marines to Florida as AOC goes into meltdown over new deportation powers: 'This is exploding'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] President Donald Trump is sending 200 Marines to Florida to help ICE officials on the ground as leading Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warns voters 'it is an explosion.'
Noisiest? Quite possibly. Leading? Not even close.
Trump's mobilization of the Marines came after a request from the Department of Homeland Security in May for military assistance.

Last month, he deployed 700 Marines to Los Angeles to contend with unruly anti-immigration protestors, sparking a furious response from California Governor Gavin Newsom.

'These Marines are the first wave of U.S. Northern Command's support of this ICE mission,' the Northern Command said in a statement.

Other deployments are expected to be made to Louisiana and Texas, officials said.

The service members who are called to duty in Florida will 'perform strictly non law enforcement duties within ICE facilities.’
The service members who are called to duty in Florida will 'perform strictly non law enforcement duties within ICE facilities.'

This will include administrative and logistical tasks, freeing up ICE agents to dedicate their working hours to conducting arrests and tracking down illegal criminals.
Not even so much as guarding federal buildings against rampaging Black Bloc hordes? How boring.
'They are specifically prohibited from direct contact with individuals in ICE custody or involvement in any aspect of the custody chain,' the statement added.

Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin told CBS that the Marines 'will be trained and ready to assist with immigration processing at locations across the state of Florida.'

She said this would be 'consistent with the whole-of-government approach to deliver on President Trump's mandate from the American people to remove public safety threats from American communities.'

It comes after Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill finally passed through Congress, paving the way for him to sign it into law on Friday July 4 - Independence Day. The landmark tax cuts and spending legislation contains many of the Republican's campaign promises, totaling $3.3 trillion.

The tax cuts alone will cost $4.5 trillion over the next ten years, according to projections from the Congressional Budget Office. To offset the massive price tag Republicans included $1.2 trillion in spending cuts, mainly trimming Medicaid, the health care program for the poor and disabled.
And then there will be whatever funds President Trump chooses not to soend, guided by DOGE cost savings and philosophical choices about what the feds should not be involved in. It will be interesting to see what President Trump accomplishes with his phone and pen beyond whatever laws Congress passes over the next 3 1/2 years, given what he’s accomplished thus far.
Border security efforts will also be getting a major cash infusion estimated to be around $150 billion for increased immigration enforcement.

It includes $46 billion for Customs and Border Patrol to build border wall and enhanced security measures
Finally!!
and around $30 billion for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Trump on Tuesday toured the new immigration detention center surrounded by alligator-filled swamps in the Florida Everglades, suggesting it could be a model for future lockups nationwide as his administration races to expand the infrastructure necessary for increasing deportations.

Trump said he'd like to see similar facilities in 'really, many states' and raised the prospect of also deporting US citizens.
He’s just trolling with that last…I think. Though I’m fine with deporting naturalized citizens who lied on their application or committed the worst crimes after they swore their oath of citizenship, like rape, murder, drug or human trafficking, or large-sum white collar crimes — after they’re stripped of that citizenship.

Airlines secretly sold US travelers' data to Homeland Security
[FoxNews] Internal documents reveal how major US airlines shared passenger data through a covert program used by federal agencies

At this point, most Americans are aware that their personal information is often up for sale. But few would have expected their domestic flight records to be part of the trade.

You might think that when you book a flight, the data stays between you, the airline and perhaps your travel agency, but a new report suggests otherwise. Internal documents reveal that major U.S. airlines have been funneling detailed passenger data to a little-known broker, which then sells that information directly to the Department of Homeland Security.

WHICH AIRLINES SHARED DATA AND HOW THE TRAVEL INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM WORKS
At the center of the controversy is the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), a company jointly owned by several of the largest U.S. airlines, including Delta, American Airlines and United. ARC’s core business includes managing ticket settlements between airlines and travel agencies. However, under a lesser-known initiative called the Travel Intelligence Program (TIP), ARC collects and monetizes vast amounts of data from domestic flight bookings. This includes names, complete itineraries and payment details.

Internal government records and procurement documents reveal that Customs and Border Protection (CBP), part of the Department of Homeland Security, has purchased access to ARC's TIP data to track individuals of interest across the U.S. While CBP maintains that this data supports criminal and administrative investigations, critics argue that the arrangement raises major privacy concerns.

The data is shared without travelers' knowledge or consent, and ARC reportedly requested that the agency keep its identity confidential unless legally required to disclose it.

The documents confirm that CBP’s initial contract with ARC began in June 2024.
A year ago? A Biden Politburo bright idea. But why did they start it so late in his term?
It has already been extended and may continue through 2029.
Was this included in a law passed by Congress, or was it a presidential executive order? Because if it was an EO, President Trump can shut it down just as easily.
Although the initial amounts seem modest, around $11,000 with a recent $6,800 update, the implications are far-reaching.

WHAT DHS IS COLLECTING FROM YOUR FLIGHT BOOKINGS AND WHY IT’S CONCERNING
ARC’s Travel Intelligence Program goes far beyond basic passenger manifests. It includes over a billion records spanning both past and future travel, updated daily. The system can be queried by name, credit card or even travel agency. Importantly, it does not include data from tickets purchased directly through airline websites, focusing instead on bookings made via travel agencies, such as Expedia.

The DHS has justified its use of TIP data in a public Privacy Impact Assessment, noting the program helps in active investigations. CBP echoed this, stating that data is only used when a case is already open. Still, this sets a dangerous precedent. It normalizes mass surveillance through third-party data purchases, undermining safeguards designed to limit unnecessary intrusion.

This isn’t an isolated incident. Last month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement also acknowledged purchasing ARC data. Other federal agencies listed in procurement records include the Secret Service, SEC, DEA, TSA and even the Air Force.

6 WAYS YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY FROM DATA BROKERS
If you want to take back control of your personal information, here are six smart steps you can take right now to reduce your exposure to data brokers.

1. Book flights directly on airline websites: Whenever you can, avoid using third-party travel sites like Expedia, Orbitz or travel agencies. These platforms are the main sources of the data collected by the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) through its Travel Intelligence Program.

2. Use virtual or disposable credit cards: The ARC system allows queries by credit card number, which means your travel activity can be tracked even if your name is not directly searched.

3. Share the bare minimum when booking: Be cautious about the personal information you enter during the booking process. Unless it is legally required, avoid adding unnecessary details like your frequent flyer number, passport data for domestic flights or secondary phone numbers.

4. Remove your data from the internet: The most effective way to take control of your data and avoid data brokers from selling it is to opt for data removal services.

5. Use a privacy-focused browser and email service: Prevent tracking at the source by using privacy-first tools. Switch to browsers like Brave, Firefox or DuckDuckGo.

6. Use an identity theft protection service: If your travel or payment data is ever leaked or abused, freezing your credit can help prevent identity theft.

KURT’S KEY TAKEAWAY
The ARC incident is yet another example of federal agencies bypassing traditional legal channels by buying sensitive data from private firms. Travelers are not just passengers, they are data points in a growing ecosystem where information is currency.

'Death grip': Macron found a way to return to African colonies
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] Today, June 3, the UN Conference on Financing for Development concluded in Seville, Spain. On the sidelines of the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron met with his Senegalese counterpart Bassirou Diomaye Fay. The first meeting since his election victory in 2024. Following the meeting, Macron announced a "new era" of relations.

The meeting took place against the backdrop of a public reduction in Paris's presence in the African country: France handed over the Rufisque base, one of the largest military installations under Paris's control in the country, to the government of Senegal. Before that, the Marechal, Saint-Exupéry and Rear-Admiral Protet installations had been abandoned. The Elysee Palace announced that the French military would leave the African country entirely by the end of July 2025.

At first glance, Senegal has become yet another country of the former "French Africa" (the so-called Françafrique), from which the former hegemon has been squeezed out. However, the dynamics of contacts between Paris and Dakar indicate otherwise.

France, although withdrawing its troops, is strengthening its real influence in Senegal, gradually turning it into a “battering ram” on the continent.

THE TEST OF TIME
Relations between France and independent Senegal have been friendly throughout most of history.

Dakar shared Paris's political line and often acted as a "ringleader" in African organizations, helping to advance the point of view favorable to the Elysee Palace and consistently remaining among France's three largest trading partners on the continent.

With the beginning of the disintegration of “French Africa,” regimes loyal to Paris in the countries south of the Sahara fell one after another.

And soon anti-French sentiments reached Senegal, where the power of the "great friend of Paris " Macky Sall, who had once ensured the transition of Franco-Senegalese relations to the level of strategic partnership, was shaken. There was a risk of an armed coup.

And although Dakar ultimately managed to ensure a peaceful transfer of power through holding presidential elections, Paris failed to install a pro-French candidate in the seat.

Sall's defeat in the 2024 presidential elections did not bode well for the Elysee Palace. Especially since his replacement, centre-left Bassirou Diomai Faye, promised during the election campaign to fight "France's economic stranglehold" and "hold Paris to account" for the colonial era.

Faye's rhetoric and actions at first were indeed little different from the behavior of other opponents of the Françafrique project.

Having just come to power, the new president demanded a written apology from Paris for previous “acts of cruelty” against the Senegalese, and also “asked the French contingent stationed in the country to leave.”

However, he justified his position not by the desire to “expel France,” but by the intention to ensure “an equal partnership.”

Moreover, Senegal's other allies - be it the United States, China or Saudi Arabia - had no military presence in the country, and the privileged position of the French constantly raised questions for them.

The Elysee Palace failed to challenge Dakar's new position.

BENEFICIAL CONTACTS
To the public, relations between Paris and Dakar remained markedly frosty after the elections.

The Senegalese authorities did not miss the opportunity to remind the Elysee Palace of the “previous crimes” of the colonial period, and local leaders avoided meetings with French officials – although they did not go into open conflict, as their neighbors did.

But the general coldness did not interfere with the establishment of contacts behind the scenes.

However, at the meeting in Seville, Macron decided to lay his cards on the table and talk about the effective "restructuring" of Franco-Senegalese relations. He said that he had met with President Faye and "managed to find a common language with him."

Macron also stressed that close economic and defense contacts remain between Dakar and Paris, and that there is “a certain coordination” of efforts to ensure regional stability.

In other words, the general framework of partnership was maintained even after the change in Senegal’s foreign policy orientation.

Macron's words are not too far from reality.

Despite the ongoing withdrawal of French troops from Senegal, the French maintain fairly close ties with the military structures.

Moreover, a significant part of the senior and middle command staff of the Senegalese army are graduates of French academies.

In addition, some functions for working with local security forces have already been outsourced to private military companies (PMCs). Advisors from PMCs Aeneas Groupe, Chiron and Geos operate in Senegal, whose employees advise law enforcement agencies on combating smugglers, criminal and terrorist cells.

Trade and economic partnerships are maintained. Over the past year, the share of French companies operating in Senegal has grown by about a quarter, while in other states of the former colonial zone the opposite processes have occurred.

This shows that French capital has managed to find the keys to the new government by promising generous investments.

A special area of cooperation that Macron chose not to emphasize was intelligence cooperation. Even after the formal cooling of relations, the French continued to work on Senegalese territory, ensuring a constant audit of threats to the interests of the Elysee Palace on the continent.

In fact, Senegal became the first country of the former "French Africa" to which Paris was able to return. And, moreover, even to strengthen its influence on local processes a little, transferring some of the processes to the "private" sector.

TAKING AIM AT THE CONFEDERACY
There is a hidden strategic calculation in the Elysee Palace’s attempts to “cling tighter” to Senegal. France aims to take revenge on the continent and ensure the gradual return of its former African partners to its orbit of influence.

In this combination, Dakar is given the role of both “outpost” and “battering ram”.

On the one hand, Paris wants to show, using Senegal as an example, that it is entirely acceptable to be friends with it even under new conditions; with distancing from the “colonial legacy,” but with maintaining the previous volumes and formats of interaction. And Macron’s successful contacts with Faye are supposedly living proof of this.

On the other hand, France sees an opportunity to use Senegal as a base to undermine the most vocal critics of its African policy – the Confederation of Sahel States (Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso). Dakar “props up” Mali’s border from the west, which provides the opportunity to put pressure on the Confederation and, if necessary, complicate its maritime trade – forcing it to seek alternative routes through Mauritania, Guinea, Benin or Côte d’Ivoire.

At the same time, the Elysee Palace hopes to complicate the game for Russia, which has significantly strengthened its contacts with the Confederation, taking the place of the expelled French in the domestic markets of its countries.

A possible confrontation between Senegal and the Confederation is seen as a way to force Moscow to side with the Confederates and thereby violate its own principle of “equidistance” on which its relations with the continent are based. This would undermine the trust of former French colonies in Russia and give pro-French forces a chance for revenge.

However, there are still difficulties with turning Senegal into a “strike instrument”: the country’s leadership is not ready to enter into conflict with its neighbors (and even less to publicly return to France’s orbit of influence), as a result of which Paris is currently focused on consolidating the successes already achieved; without planning new offensives.

Britain
UK charges 4 anti-Israel activists over air base break-in
[IsraelTimes] Palestine Action members arrested for spray-painting RAF planes in protest of military support for Israel, as parliament moves to designate group as terrorist organization

Four pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel activists were charged Thursday after breaking into a military air base in central England in June and damaging two planes in protest of what they say is Britannia’s support for Israel.

Counter-terrorism police said the charges were for conspiracy to enter a prohibited place knowingly for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or interests of the UK, and conspiracy to commit criminal damage.

The four, aged between 22 and 35, remain in jug and are due to appear in a London court on Thursday. Police said they will present evidence to court linking the offences to terrorism.

The police statement said those charged had caused 7 million pounds ($9.5 million) worth of damage to the two aircraft at the Brize Norton Royal Air Force base.

The campaign group Paleostine Action has said it was behind the incident on June 20, when the air base in Oxfordshire in central England was broken into and red paint was sprayed over two planes used for refuelling and transport.

Paleostine Action, which describes itself as a direct action movement that uses disruptive methods, has routinely targeted companies in Britannia with links to Israel, such as defense company Elbit Systems, causing millions of pounds of damage at its Thales factory in 2022, according to the British government.

On Tuesday, the group said its activists had blocked the entrance to an Elbit site in Bristol, southwestern England, and that other members had occupied the rooftop of a subcontracting firm in Suffolk, eastern England, which it said had links to Elbit.

British politicians voted on Wednesday to proscribe Paleostine Action as a terrorist organization.

A terror designation would make it a crime to support or belong to the group.

Britannia’s proscription order will reach parliament’s upper chamber, the House of Lords, on Thursday. If approved by politicians there, Paleostine Action’s ban would become effective in the following days.

The group, which has called its proscription unjustified and an "abuse of power," has challenged the decision in court and an urgent hearing is expected on Friday.

The UK Home Office declined to comment on Paleostine Action’s legal challenge.

UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper previously said the group had a "long history of unacceptable criminal damage" and that the government would not tolerate those who put national security at risk.

Caribbean-Latin America
Violent criminal gangs have 'near-total control' of Haiti's capital, UN says
[FoxNews] Haiti's criminal gangs have exerted "near-total control" over the capital, as escalating violence pushes the Caribbean nation "closer to the brink," senior U.N. officials warned Wednesday.

Gangs control an estimated 90% of Port-au-Prince, Ghada Fathy Waly, executive director of the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime, told the U.N. Security Council. Waly noted that gangs are expanding into previously peaceful areas.

"Southern Haiti, which until recently was insulated from the violence, has seen a sharp increase in gang-related incidents," she said. "And in the east, criminal groups are exploiting land routes, including key crossings like Belladere and Malpasse, where attacks against police and customs officials have been reported."

U.N. Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenca informed the council that "the ongoing gang encirclement of Port-au-Prince" and their strengthened foothold in the capital and beyond is "pushing the situation closer to the brink."

"Without increased action by the international community, the total collapse of state presence in the capital could become a very real scenario," he warned.

Gangs have gained power since President Jovenel Moïse's assassination in July 2021, previously controlling 85% of the capital. Haiti has not had a president since the assassination.

A new U.N. report covering last October through February highlights that gangs have exploited political turmoil and Haiti's disorganized security response, saying competing political ambitions and corruption allegations within transitional governing bodies have hindered action.
And the Internationals have made everything considerably worse, pouring oil on the fire.
"While the expansion of territorial control brings gangs additional sources of revenue and bargaining power," the U.N. experts said in the report, "these attacks are also backed by individuals trying to destabilize the political transition for their own political goals."

US slaps sanctions on Iran’s oil smuggling network, Hezbollah finance firm
[IsraelTimes] US Treasury accuses Iraqi businessman of buying Iranian oil disguised as, or blending it with Iraqi oil; sanctions placed on vessels part of Iran’s ‘shadow fleet’

The United States imposed sanctions on Thursday against a business network that smuggles Iranian oil disguised as Iraqi oil, as well as sanctions targeting a Hezbollah-controlled financial institution, the Treasury Department said.

The network of companies run by Iraqi businessman Salim Ahmed Said has been buying and shipping billions of dollars worth of Iranian oil disguised as, or blended with, Iraqi oil since at least 2020, the department said in a statement.

"Treasury will continue to target Tehran’s revenue sources and intensify economic pressure to disrupt the regime’s access to the financial resources that fuel its destabilizing activities," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said.

In February, US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th and 47th President of the United States...
restored a "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran, which includes efforts to drive its oil exports to zero and help prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon. Washington has also targeted Iran’s proxy groups with sanctions.

Trump then spent weeks pursuing a diplomatic path to replace the nuclear deal with Tehran that he tore up during his first term in 2018, but he ultimately decided to join Israel’s military action, which was launched on June 13.

Israel’s unprecedented air campaign targeted Iranian nuclear sites, scientists, and top military brass in a bid to end the country’s nuclear program, which Tehran says is for civilian purposes but Washington and other powers insist is aimed at acquiring atomic weapons.

American B-2 bombers also hit two Iranian nuclear sites with massive GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs last month, while a guided missile submarine struck one of those sites and a third site with Tomahawk cruise missiles.

The US and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
are expected to hold talks about Tehran’s nuclear program next week in Oslo, Axios reported.

Said’s companies and vessels blend Iranian oil with Iraqi oil, which is then sold to Western buyers via Iraq or the United Arab Emirates as purely Iraqi oil using forged documentation to avoid sanctions, the Treasury said.

Said controls UAE-based company VS Tankers, though he avoids formal association with it, the Treasury said. Formerly known as al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading (AISSOT), VS Tankers has smuggled oil for the benefit of the Iranian government and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is designated by Washington as a terrorist organization, it said.

The sanctions block US assets of those designated and prevent Americans from doing business with them.

VS Tankers did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Iran’s mission in New York did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The US also sanctioned several vessels that are accused of engaging in the covert delivery of Iranian oil, intensifying pressure on Iran’s "shadow fleet," it said.

The Treasury Department also issued sanctions against several bigwigs and one entity associated with the Hezbollah-controlled financial institution al-Qard al-Hassan.

The officials, the department said, conducted millions of dollars in transactions that ultimately benefited, but obscured, Hezbollah.
Update from Rudaw at 10:50 a.m. EDT:
The department further accused Said of bribing "many members of key Iraqi government bodies, including parliament," saying he paid millions of dollars in kickbacks in exchange for forged vouchers certifying the oil’s origin as Iraqi. He is also said to control the UAE-based VS Tankers FZE while avoiding formal association with it.

The actions were taken under Executive Order 13902, which targets sectors of Iran’s economy, including its petroleum and petrochemical industries, as well as under US counterterrorism authorities.

The sanctions come after the recent 12-day war between Iran and Israel, during which the US struck key Iranian nuclear facilities. In a further move to pressure Tehran, Washington in March revoked a sanctions waiver that had allowed Iraq to purchase electricity from Iran.

US court says family of Boulder attacker who firebombed hostage rally can be deported
The Egyptian parents together brought their five children here in August 2022 from their settled life in Kuwait (on a 6 month B1 visitor visa, which is for business conferences, rather than a B2 tourist visa), then quickly applied for asylum, for which they were granted permission to stay and work for six months. There is some confusion about applications for additional short term visas, and no explanation why they claimed to have a fear of persecution in Egypt, where he had not lived for 17 years when they “fled” here, but they definitely have been overstaying here illegally since March. At any rate, they immediately sent their children to public schools and encouraged the eldest to apply for college and academic scholarships, which she won. Papa, whose fuller name is Mohamed Sabry Farag Soliman, freely admitted afterward that he had gone to America for the purpose of committing jihad against the infidels we have in such quantity here, spent a year planning the attack, then waited until his eldest child graduated high school in 2025 before hunting down his prey. Mama has been complaining bitterly via her lawyer that she and the children are suffering in confinement, cruelly prevented from getting on with their American life.
[IsraelTimes] Decision overturns lower court’s ruling against expulsion of wife and 5 kids of Egyptian Mohamed Sabry Soliman, who were staying in the country illegally

A US federal court ruled Wednesday that the family of the man who firebombed a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado in support of hostages held in Gaza can be deported.

The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, who is an Egyptian national, and his wife

The family moved to America, according to Habiba, so that she would be able to fulfill her ambition to go to med school, which she could not done in Kuwait. were living in the United States illegally. The family was detained by ICE two days after the June 1 attack.
They were picked up shortly after the attack and flown straight to the Dilley Family Detention Center in Texas.
Wednesday’s ruling overturned a previous district court ruling blocking the family’s deportation.

“This is a proper end to an absurd legal effort on the plaintiff’s part. Just like her terrorist husband, she and her children are here illegally and are rightfully in ICE custody for removal as a result,” said Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, in a statement.

“This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it,” the statement continued.

Soliman’s family is currently being held in a detention center in Texas.

Lawyers for the family argued their detention was unconstitutional because they said it was intended to punish them for Soliman’s actions.

The decision came days after the death of 82-year-old Karen Diamond from injuries sustained in the firebombing attack.

Soliman currently faces over 70 charges for the attack, including first-degree murder, first-degree assault and 12 counts of committing a hate crime.

‘Lies’: Israel denounces Amnesty charge that aid system uses starvation in Gaza genocide
[IsraelTimes] UK human rights group says Israel creating ‘deadly mix of hunger and disease’; Israeli Foreign Ministry responds: Amnesty joining forces with Hamas

Amnesty International issued a report Thursday claiming it had evidence that a controversial Israeli- and US-backed system to distribute aid in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. terror group. Israel responded by saying the group had adopted Hamas lies as its narrative.

The UK-based human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
group condemned Israel and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which the US and Israel have backed to take over aid distribution in Gaza from a network led by the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
"Israel’s genocide has continued unabated in Gaza, including through the infliction of conditions of life that have created a deadly mix of hunger and disease pushing the population past breaking point, said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty’s secretary general, said in the report.

The Foreign Ministry denounced the Amnesty report, saying the organization has "joined forces with Hamas and fully adopted all of its propaganda lies."

"Its new name now is ’Amnesty Hamas,'" the ministry said.

At the same time, the UN Special Rapporteur for the Paleostinian territories — who has been condemned by Israel and the US for antisemitism — urged an international arms embargo on Israel for what she alleged is "genocide" in the Gaza Strip.

Gaza’s Hamas-controlled Health Ministry says more than 500 Paleostinians have been killed at or near GHF distribution centers over the past month. The figures cannot be verified and do not distinguish between civilians and combatants. The centers are guarded by private security contractors and located near Israeli military positions. Paleostinian officials and witnesses have accused Israeli forces of opening fire at crowds of people moving near the sites.

The Amnesty report said Israel has "turned aid-seeking into a booby trap for desperate starved Paleostinians" through GHF’s militarized hubs. The conditions have created "a deadly mix of hunger and disease pushing the population past breaking point."

"This devastating daily loss of life as desperate Paleostinians try to collect aid is the consequence of their deliberate targeting by Israeli forces and the foreseeable consequence of irresponsible and lethal methods of distribution," Callamard said.

ISRAEL REJECTS CLAIMS
The Israeli army says it has fired warning shots to control crowds and only fires at people it says are acting suspiciously.

The Foreign Ministry and COGAT, the Israeli defense body in charge of coordinating aid to Gaza, said Israel has facilitated the entry of over 3,000 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip since May 19 and the GHF has delivered boxes of food with the equivalent of 56 million meals.

UN EXPERT URGES ARMS EMBARGO
In a speech to the UN Human Rights Council, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Paleostinian Territories Francesca Albanese said: "The situation in the occupied Paleostinian territory is apocalyptic."

"Israel is responsible for one of the cruelest genocides in modern history," she added, in a speech that was met with a burst of applause from the Geneva council.

Israel’s delegate was not present in the room in line with a new policy to disengage with the council, which Israel says has an antisemitic bias.

Israel’s diplomatic mission in Geneva did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Albanese’s speech.

The Trump administration has recently asked for the UN to remove Albanese, accusing her of "virulent antisemitism and support for terrorism."

Albanese, one of dozens of independent UN-mandated experts to document abuses around the world, was presenting her latest report, which named over 60 companies she said were involved in supporting Israeli settlements in the West Bank and military actions in Gaza.

"What I expose is not a list, it is a system, and that is to be addressed," she told the council.

"We must reverse the tide," she added, calling for states to impose a full arms embargo, suspend all trade agreements and ensure companies face legal consequences for their involvement in violations of international law.

Israel’s diplomatic mission in Geneva earlier this week said Albanese’s latest report was "legally groundless, defamatory and a flagrant abuse of her office."

Israel using drugs to recruit collaborators in Gaza: Hamas
Israel has quite enough trouble dealing with the idiots over there when they’re merely drunk on jihad. Drugs add an entirely unnecessary layer of complexity.
[GEO.TV] A Hamas security official said that the Israeli forces were working to create and prolong issues that would lead to the emergence of criminal gangs, as it directed them to destabilise security in the Palestinian enclave, Al Jazeera reported.

The official stated that drugs are often used to ''ensnare young people, bring them down, and assign them to security and espionage missions'' and that agents had been smuggling large quantities of drugs from intelligence officers assigned to the aid teams that have access to the aid distribution points.

Israeli intelligence officers use the aid distribution points as a recruiting ground, the Hamas official said.

Asked about the prospects of such a deal, Huckabee told Israel's Channel 12 that ''it's all going to be what Hamas is willing to accept.''

have been charged with spying for Israel’s intelligence agency Mosssd
...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end...
, diplomatic and family sources told AFP on Wednesday.

They have also been charged with "conspiracy to overthrow the regime" and "corruption on earth," the Western diplomatic source and the sister of Cecile Kohler, who is being detained along with Jacques Gay Paree, told AFP.

"We have been informed of these accusations," the diplomatic source said.

"All we know is that they have seen a judge who confirmed the three charges," said Kohler’s sister, who said the two Frenchies were still being denied access to independent lawyers.

All three charges carry the death penalty
Iran had previously claimed the two had been arrested for spying but had not revealed exactly whom.

Tehran has not confirmed the new charges.

"These charges, if they are confirmed, are completely unfounded," the French diplomatic source told AFP.

"Cecile Kohler and Jacques Gay Paree are innocent," the source added, demanding that the pair are given access to lawyers.

The news came a day after the French charge d’affaires in Iran was able to visit the pair in prison.

The fate of Kohler and Gay Paree had been unknown since Israel targeted Tehran’s Evin prison in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
last week, before a US-proposed ceasefire between the Middle East foes came into force.

Kohler, 40, and Gay Paree, her 72-year-old partner, have been held in Iran since May 2022.

Iran is believed to hold around 20 European nationals, many of whose cases have never been publicized, in what some Western governments including La Belle France describe as a strategy of hostage-taking aimed at extracting concessions from the West.

Three Europeans, who have not been identified, have also been arrested in the wake of the current conflict, two of whom are accused of spying for Israel, according to the authorities.

Hezbollah Leader: Israel poses strategic threat to region and beyond
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Sheikh Naim Qassem
... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies...
, the leader of Hezbollah, declared Israel not only an occupier of Paleostine but a strategic threat to Leb
...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects....
, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, the broader region, and global stability.
Uh huh. Whatevs, dude.
In a televised address on Wednesday, Qassem emphasized that Israel's ideology, actions, and ambitions endanger Moslems, Christians, and Jews alike, destabilizing both regional and global peace.

He noted that the regime's ideology, behavior, and vision endanger both regional stability and global peace.

Qassem said that since the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel took effect, the regime has not stopped its aggression and has violated the agreement more than 3700 times.

He stressed that the regime must adhere to the terms it agreed upon with Lebanon and stop its acts of aggression.

The Hezbollah leader said the movement will not be swayed by threats, nor will it accept surrendering its weapons to Israel.

Qassem firmly rejected calls for Hezbollah to disarm, asserting that Lebanon's defense and illusory sovereignty are internal matters, immune to external pressures.

''We will not submit to humiliation, abandon our land, or compromise under threats,'' he stated, stressing that discussions about Hezbollah's weapons are a domestic issue, with no role for Israel in dictating terms.

Qassem said Hezbollah's resistance is a defense against a strategic threat impacting multiple nations, including Paleostine, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan.

Describing Israel as an existential danger, Qassem noted, ''Israel's threat is not limited to Moslems; it endangers Christians and Jews as well.''

He criticized the regime's ideology and actions as a risk to global peace and called on those who avoid confronting Israel to resist on humanitarian grounds.

''Coexisting with an expanding, invasive danger is impossible,'' he warned, emphasizing Hezbollah's resistance as rooted in human, Islamic, and national values for future generations.

LEBANESE STATE MUST ADDRESS ONGOING VIOLATIONS
In late June, Qassem stated that Israel's continued aggression, including attacks on Nabatieh, the targeting of civilians in southern Lebanon, and strikes on the money exchange sector, is now the Lebanese state's responsibility to address.

''The state must apply pressure and fulfill its duties,'' he urged, rejecting claims that Hezbollah provides pretexts for Israeli attacks.

He cited Israel's occupation of 600 km of Syrian territory, destruction of capabilities, and attacks on Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
as evidence of unprovoked aggression.

''You must understand this cannot continue,'' Qassem told the public. ''Do you imagine we will remain silent forever? All of this has limits.''

Iran rejects EU's call to negotiate termination of nuclear program
Be smarter, guys. The next invite won’t be as nice.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has dismissed the European Union's recent push to initiate talks aimed at halting Iran's nuclear program.

The statement came on Wednesday in response to comments made by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, who on Tuesday urged Iran to engage in immediate negotiations to curb its nuclear activities.

In a post on X, Araghchi on Wednesday stated that Kallas disregarded the principles enshrined in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which explicitly affirms the right of all signatory states, including Iran, to develop, research, and utilize nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

He argued that the EU's call undermines Iran's sovereign rights under international law and fails to acknowledge the complexities of the existing nuclear agreements.

Araghchi further criticized the EU's stance by referencing UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which endorsed the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal.

Araghchi rejected the involvement of the EU and the UK in any future negotiations, stating that their participation would be irrelevant and meaningless.

He contended that the resolution and the JCPOA framework have been undermined by the withdrawal of key parties, particularly the United States in 2018, rendering mechanisms like the ''snapback'' sanctions process obsolete and legally baseless.

Iran has intensified asserting its nuclear rights since the US unilaterally withdrew from the JCPOA under the Trump administration, reimposing stringent sanctions. The Islamic Republic has since scaled back its compliance with the deal, advancing its uranium enrichment activities while maintaining that its program is for peaceful purposes, such as energy production and medical research.
