[Breitbart] Authorities in Mexico are remaining tightlipped about how a team of button men was able to hijack a truck carrying 33 tons of gold and silver concentrate. The high-stakes robbery comes as Mexico’s government continues to claim that public safety is improving and that the country is safe.
The robbery took place on Monday when a tractor-trailer carrying minerals was traveling from the Mexican state of Durango to the Port of Manzanillo in Colima State, where it was expected to be shipped out. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome... while the truck was moving through the state of Jalisco, a group of button men in at least two vehicles intercepted the truck, overpowered the security detail, and kidnapped the driver.
According to information released by Grupo Bacis, the mining company that owned the precious metals, the button men held the security detail and driver for almost two hours while they stealing the cargo. After the button men released the victims, they made their way to a nearby tollbooth where they asked for help. Mexican authorities were able to find the tractor-trailer soon after, but the cargo was gone. The company has not placed a value on the stolen cargo; however, it is expected to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
While authorities have not released any information on the case, the dominant criminal organization in Jalisco is Cartel Jalisco New Generation, one of the six cartels designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the U.S. government. In Jalisco, CJNG operates with almost absolute impunity and has historically controlled all major crimes in the region such as extortion and ransom kidnapping in addition to drug and human trafficking.
[JUSTTHENEWS] Ten people have been charged in connection with a shooting last week at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement corrections officers and wounding a police officer at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, according to a U.S. attorney.
Nancy Larson, acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas, said at a Monday night news conference in Fort Worth that people in black military-style clothing fired at authorities in a ''planned ambush'' on Friday, The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported.
The group first shot off fireworks, damaging cars and a guard structure, and writing words such as ''traitor'' and ''ICE pig.'' That ''seemed to be designed to draw U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel outside the facility, and it worked,'' Larson said.
Two unarmed ICE corrections officers came out of the detention center to speak with the group, and eventually, the Alvarado police officer arrived and was shot by someone who was in the woods, according to Larson.
''Another assailant, who was across the street, nowhere near the corrections officers, shot 20 to 30 rounds at these unarmed corrections officers,'' she said. ''There was an AR-style rifle found at the scene'' that was jammed, Larson added. A flag that read ''Resist fascism fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about... , fight oligarchy ... derived from the Greek words oligos, a few and the verb archo, to rule, to govern, to command. Oligarchies are invariably effectual rather than established, to whit, they disguise themselves as other systems, working as the real government behind the face of of democracy, fascism, socialism, monarchy, or what have you... ,'' and flyers with words such as ''Fight ICE'' were also recovered near the detention center.
Masks, goggles, tactical gloves, more body armor, weapons, spray paint, and fireworks were found in additional searches, according to Larson.
As the group bravely ran away, sheriff's deputies stopped seven people about 300 yards from where the police officer was shot.
''Some were wearing body armor, some were covered in mud, some were armed, and some had two-way radios on them,'' Larson said.
''It was a planned ambush with the intent to kill ICE corrections officers,'' she also said.
The police officer who was shot in the neck after reporting to the detention center was treated at a hospital and released, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's office.
When asked if the shooting was connected to the shooting in McAllen, Texas, on Monday of Border Patrol agents and a police officer, Larson said, ''This is an ongoing investigation, so we cannot comment on any connections or the existence of connections at all.''
The 10 people were each charged with three counts of attempted murder of a federal officer and three counts of discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, according to Larson. Another person was charged with obstruction of justice and conspiracy for attempting to conceal and destroy evidence.

Israel Attacks in Gaza Kill 78 More Palestinians@DecampDave
Israeli attacks in Gaza on Tuesday have killed at least 78 Palestinians, medical sources told Al Jazeera, as relentless US-backed strikes continue and IDF troops continue to gun down people seeking aid.
…The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that at least six Palestinians, including three children, were shot dead by Israeli forces near an aid distribution site run by the US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in the southern city of Rafah.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that at least eight aid seekers were killed over the previous 24-hour period, bringing the death toll of Palestinians attempting to get aid since the GHF began operating at the end of May to 766.
Recall that we saw reports from Gaza that Hamas was attacking Gazans who dared go to the GHF sites to get free food instead of paying siege prices to Hamas. Even if that number is not a gross exaggeration, it’s probable they were killed by Hams rather than the IDF.
The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday confirmed having killed in Gazoo

The military also killed at least 51 Paleostinians in Gaza on Thursday, according to unverified figures provided by hospitals in the Hamas-run Strip, as IDF troops continued to advance throughout Gaza, a day after five soldiers were killed in battle.
The IDF also announced on Tuesday that Taha Abu Ayadeh, a platoon commander in Hamas’s elite Nukhba force, was killed last week in an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on the area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
In the October 7 onslaught, Ayadeh invaded Israel with his platoon and attacked a gas station close to the Gaza border community of Kibbutz Magen, the IDF said.
Footage of the attack was published by the South First Responders group in November 2023. The footage showed two Israeli employees rushing to hide as Hamas turbans opened fire and stormed the area. The employees reportedly hid in a freezer for hours before being rescued.
In central Gaza, Israeli strikes killed another 10 people and maimed 72 on Tuesday, according to the Awda Hospital in Nuseirat. Farther south, in Khan Younis, Nasser Hospital records showed a total of 41 people killed.
Hamas health officials at Nasser Hospital, where victims were taken, claimed that one strike targeted tents sheltering displaced people in Khan Younis, killing four people. A separate strike in Khan Younis killed four people, including a mother, father, and their two children, the officials said.
The IDF had no immediate comment on the strikes. The military says it takes steps to mitigate harm to civilians, including using aerial surveillance and precision munitions, and accuses Hamas of embedding itself in civilian infrastructure including hospitals and designated humanitarian areas.
“Due to terror activities in the area, the IDF with its maneuvering troops and intensive firepower is expanding actions in your area,” says Col. Avichay Adraee, the military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, on X.
Palestinians are instructed to head west.
IDF says it hit more than 100 terror targets in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] Over 100 terror targets were struck by the Israeli Air Force in the Gaza Strip over the past day, including operatives, booby-trapped buildings, weapon depots, anti-tank launch posts, tunnels, and other infrastructure, the military says in a daily update.
The strikes come as five IDF divisions, made up of tens of thousands of troops, continue to operate across Gaza.
During ground operations, the IDF says troops of the 7th Armored Brigade located a cache of explosive devices hidden in a civilian building in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood.
Elsewhere in the Strip, troops killed operatives and destroyed Hamas infrastructure in the past day, the military adds.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The complex operation in Beit Hanoun, which targeted an area the occupation forces believed to be empty after completely leveling it, dealt a significant blow to the prestige of the Israeli military, said Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... ''Our fighters launched their attack from the very ruins the occupation believed were devoid of life,'' Abu Obeida stated, adding, ''The war of attrition our fighters are fighting across the entire Gaza Strip, from the North to the South, will continue to cost the enemy more losses by the day.''
He also warned that even if the occupation previously managed to extract its soldiers from what he described as ''the inferno'', it would not succeed again, alluding to the potential for more Israeli soldiers to be captured in future confrontations.
[IsraelTimes] The military is surrounding Beit Hanoun "from all directions," IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said in a presser on Tuesday after five troops were killed in an ambush in the northern Gaza town Monday night.
"Beit Hanoun is a fortified area, where dozens of turbans still remain. There are still many underground tunnels that we must demolish," said Defrin.
"We will continue to attack and clear the area to remove the threat to the residents of the western Negev," he said, noting that Beit Hanoun overlooks several border towns, including Sderot, as well as a train line.
Five soldiers were killed and 14 were wounded in the attack, which took place around 1.5 kilometers from the Israeli border.
According to the IDF’s investigation, most troops were hurt by the first and second bombs, which were detonated within a few moments of each other. The first bomb hit several soldiers, and the troops that rushed to help them were hit by the second bomb.
As the third bomb was detonated, a cell of Hamas operatives opened fire with light arms on the Israeli troops.
The military believes the bombs, rigged up to remote detonators, were planted by the Hamas cell during the previous 24 hours.
Following the attack, the IDF dispatched Israeli Air Force drones, helicopters, and fighter jets to the area to prevent any potential attempts by Hamas to abduct the soldiers. Within an hour and a half, the incident was considered over, according to the military.
The military believes that dozens of Hamas operatives remain holed up in Beit Hanoun, mostly deep underground in the terror group’s tunnels.
The offensive in the northern Gaza town is intended to clear it of these remaining Hamas operatives, the IDF says.
[IsraelTimes] Death of Mehran Mustafa Bajur ‘significant blow’ to group’s Lebanese branch, says IDF
The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday said it killed a “key Hamas terrorist” in a strike in Lebanon.
The Israeli airstrike in Lebanon’s northern coastal city of Tripoli on Tuesday afternoon killed Mehran Mustafa Bajur, a prominent Hamas commander, according to the IDF.
Lebanon’s health ministry said the strike on a vehicle “killed three people and wounded 13” in an area that is close to a Palestinian refugee camp. An AFP photographer saw a burned-out car surrounded by the emergency services and onlookers.
The IDF said Bajur had in recent years advanced numerous attacks on Israel, and, since the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, led rocket attacks from Lebanon on Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona and other Israeli cities.
“Bajur served as one of Hamas’s key commanders in Lebanon, and as part of his role, he spent years establishing Hamas’s military capabilities in Lebanon,” the IDF said in a statement.
“Additionally, he was one of the leaders responsible for the terror organizations’ force-buildup efforts, and facilitated the purchasing of weapons through his connections with other terrorist organizations in the area,” the statement added.
The IDF said Bajur’s death was a “significant blow” to the Gaza-based terror group’s activities in Lebanon.
