Speaking about the Ukrainian conflict, the Russian leader said that Russia needs a complete settlement of the situation, and not a freezing of the conflict.
During his speech, Putin named the conditions for a ceasefire and the start of peace negotiations. One of them, as the president emphasized, will be Kiev’s statement on its refusal to join NATO. Another is the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the entire territory of the new regions of Russia.
Russian authorities have repeatedly reported their readiness for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. The head of state noted that the Russian side sought to end the conflict peacefully even before the start of the Northern Military District, but Kiev did not want this.
