According to Mujeeb Ahmed, an official of Balochistan Levies in Mand, a vehicle of the paramilitary troops was on a routine patrol some 60 kilometres from Turbat, when it hit a landmine placed by faceless myrmidons. In the resulting kaboom, two personnel were killed on the spot while five others sustained injuries. The vehicle was also destroyed in the incident. A large number of Frontier Corps troops rushed to the spot soon after the incident and the dear departed and injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for an appointment with Dr. Quincy and treatment, respectively.
