Russian military personnel are trying to advance towards the settlement of Yablunivka in the Torets direction and build a bridgehead in the direction of Kostyantynivka.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Luhansk OTU, Dmytro Zaporozhets, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy is currently most active in the Torets direction. The average daily number of assault operations per week is approximately 15-16, today he is trying to develop his success in the direction of the settlement of Yablunivka with the aim of further movements in the direction of Kostyantynivka," Zaporozhets reported.
The spokesman emphasizes that the invaders are not limited in resources so that their troops have as little resistance as possible from the Defense Forces, as well as to move towards the settlement of Yablunivka and develop a bridgehead in the direction of Kostyantynivka.
"The enemy is also most actively using motor vehicles, given that there are small settlements on its path that can be quickly reached using motor vehicles. The enemy is trying to accumulate there, moving along the "green lines" from landing to landing," the spokesman adds.
At the same time, the Defense Forces are actively preventing any movements of enemy personnel, including on motorcycles.
"In general, the Torets direction is currently the most difficult, because the enemy is focusing its main efforts on it, using any methods of fire exposure, FPV drones, fiber-optic drones and the entire range of these means, and in addition, assault operations using motorized vehicles," the military officer says.
Currently, the use of enemy tactical aviation has increased in the Torets direction. "The enemy has the ability to use CABs on these settlements, destroying any buildings, especially civilian ones, any possible shelters for Defense Forces positions and on the same landings," Zaporozhets concluded.
Previously, the defense forces noted that the Russian army was using guided aerial bombs in the Siversky and Torets directions, with the aim of destroying settlements on the way to Kostyantynivka.
