Almost Like It's A Plan-RED TAPE: Hundreds of Residents of Pacific Palisades Choose to Sell Their Homes Rather Than Rebuild After Fires |
2025-06-07 |
[GatewayPundit] Following the horrific and incredibly destructive fires in southern California earlier this year, hundreds of residents of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood are opting to sell their homes rather than rebuild. For months now, various people have predicted that this would happen because the bureaucratic red tape in California is a nightmare to deal with, not to mention the exorbitant costs. It is absolutely awful that so many of these people find themselves in a position where they’re unable to rebuild homes they have lived in for years. This is all on the Democrat leaders of the city and the state. The Santa Monica Daily Press reports: Hundreds Choose to Sell Rather Than Rebuild After Palisades Fire Related: Pacific Palisades: 2025-05-26 A Fire Aid Benefit Concert held on January 30, 2025, raised an estimated $100 million to support residents of Pacific Palisades”. #11 Los Angeles is a sanctuary city. It provides a sanctuary for grotesquely incompetent politicians. |

#10 IIRC, there were problems bringing water to bear on the fire in Lahaina kinda like the problems they had with empty reservoirs and non-functional fire hydrants in Los Angeles. You would think that civic leaders in fire prone areas would pay more attention to such things but then, maybe that's exactly what they did. |

#9 What makes it seem even more like a plan is the experience some home owners are having in Lahaina. https://www.civilbeat.org/2025/04/lahaina-fire-stole-their-dream-home-plans-to-rebuild-reveal-deep-divides/ Kinda like a page out of the playbook. |

#5 Think Green Soviet Architecture Brilliant! Let's build some of those 12 story concrete apartment complexes like the Soviets did back in the day. Khrushchyovkas, they called them after famous commie Nikita Khrushchev. (I don't think it was a compliment) Affordable Housing, baby! |
