#31  FJB is such a special case, his autopsy is the only way to be sure.

#30  Congrats on the counts, NoMo.

Men who are 70 and older should not be screened for prostate cancer routinely.

Silly.

#29  I have prostate cancer, and my PSA elevation (13.9) convinced me to see a urologist who specializes in treatment. Biopsy produced a Gleson scale of 7 rating (mid-level high risk)and I have had extensive radiation treatment over the pst year. My last two PSA's were .013.

At my age, 78, surgery is not a preferred option and the radiation seems to have been effective. Do NOT be dismissive of PSA testing, as should lead to firm biopsy confirmation before any treatment is considered. Absent the PSA tests, I had no symptoms and was generally dismissive of the idea of PSA's.

#27  In FJB's case, Prostate Tissue testing would also necessarily include brain surgery due to co-location

#26  I forgot to mention an autopsy as another way to definitively diagnose prostate cancer. My bad.
Posted by: Anguper Hupomosing9418   2025-05-21 13:44

#25  The only way to diagnose prostate cancer is by tissue testing: biopsy IOW. The most reliable form of tissue testing is removal of as much of the prostate as the surgery allows. Needle biopsies are how most patients get the diagnosis done, however, it is possible to miss prostate cancer tissue even when multiple needle passes are done.

#24  One of the few beneficial legacies of Joe Biden may be that his condition resulted in changing the standard recommendations about PSA testing.

#22  As for the PSA, there might be some things that an old guy doesn't want to know. They might not want to suffer the indignities of prostrate cancer treatments, preferring instead to let nature take its course. He might just want some good, strong pain meds so he can check out with dignity.

I don't know. I'm glad I haven't had to face that decision just yet.

What I do know is I grow weary of hearing about Joe Biden's prostrate when the story should be the vast conspiracy to cover up his cognitive decline. But we sure as hell won't get that from Gayle King and CBS, being as how they were part of the conspiracy.

#21  One has to ask is the Democrat party trying to America down or push it into Socialism?

One theory is they want to destroy America because they think they can then impose socialism/communism. The theory being that when people no longer have any morals or any memory of what went before them, when people are on their knees because of poverty and war and disease, their resistance to an organized group of fanatical sociopaths will be so reduced that pure communism will become possible.

Another theory might be that Democrats (and RINOs) are merely thieves, murderers and parasites who only want to enrich themselves by stealing from the rest of us.

#20  And he didn't have a cognitive test since?

I’m sure he never had one, Grom. It’s not a test for those employed in paid work, the unquestioned assumption being that they wouldn’t pay you if you were incapable of doing the work. It’s for the retired elderly when those around them need solid data to justify the obvious case for putting them in assisted living or full nursing care.

#19  I'd like to see the reaction if Trump got on TV and said something to the effect that PSA tests were way overrated and mostly unnecessary.

#18  Check out this article from Sloan Kettering Cancer center: Myths About PSA Tests and Prostate Cancer Screening
It does not parrot the USPSTF 2018 recommendations.

#17   Please consider there is also the possibility that Biden has had another undisclosed physician who has been testing and perhaps treating him all along. Does anyone trust that Biden (at this point) can even recall that? There is also the possibility that Biden could have already (perhaps years ago) undergone radiotherapy for his prostate cancer which may have worked for a while. There are many other possibilities none has considered. The Biden regime is based on lies, misdirection and misrepresentation.

Being a male senior citizen, PSA test are a Norm.

Maybe with you, PSA testing is a norm. The official position of the fed's USPSTF does NOT agree. Many physicians & a great many men at risk think USPSTF's is senseless.
Following taken from a cdc.gov website:
In 2018, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) made the following recommendations about prostate cancer screening:

Men who are 55 to 69 years old should make individual decisions about being screened for prostate cancer with a prostate specific antigen (PSA) test.
Before deciding, men should talk to their doctor about the benefits and harms of screening for prostate cancer, including the benefits and harms of other tests and treatment.
Men who are 70 and older should not be screened for prostate cancer routinely.
This recommendation applies to men who:

Are at average risk for prostate cancer.
Are at increased risk for prostate cancer.
Do not have symptoms of prostate cancer.
Have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer

#14  I think Super Hose has the nicest case scenario.

I got a lot of feelers from yesterday's sad campaign going along the lines of, "If this news makes you happy, you are not Christian."

OK Chuck, I'll take that perspective. From a human, caring point of view, what they have done to this husk of a person over the last 6 years is no different than trash people keeping grandma locked in her bedroom, confused and soiling herself, in order for the social security checks to keep arriving, forging signatures on checks and legal documents, the whole thing. It was elder abuse, and social services would have busted that shit up and people jailed.

Given everything the Democrats have done since LBJ took out JFK. Carter screwed things up, Clintons disasters, Obama Admin issues, the voter fraud coup and the Biden Puppet regime.

One has to ask is the Democrat party trying to America down or push it into Socialism?
Posted by: NN2N1   2025-05-21 08:27

#9  The most plausible explanation is that PSA tests and cognitive tests were excluded from Joe’s physicals because they knew he couldn’t pass them. Biden took more vacation to Delaware than three presidents. Some of those trips were for treatment by doctors that needed to be unofficial.

Someone lying their A$$ off about this.

They knew, and HIPAA rules are covering their lies.

#7  I passed on PSA tests over the last several years - I'm 76. Doc said they're not that accurate, give a lot of false positives, and symptoms are important indicators.

YMMV.

But that's just a fraction of the coverup.

#6  Biden, in all likelihood had never been the de facto POTUS anyway, given the deterioration of his mental faculties.

What difference, at that point, would it have made?
