After many attempts, the enemy has found a weak spot in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense, and Toretsk's logistics may be under threat, analysts believe.
The Russian invading army has made significant progress southwest of Toretsk in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the DeepState project on Wednesday, April 23.
It was noted that the enemy occupied the villages of Panteleimonovka and Valentinovka in a relatively short period of time, occupied almost all of Sukhaya Balka, and is already attempting to storm Romanovka.
"The enemy has still not managed to break through the defense of the Ukrainian military in the Leonidovka-Petrovka-Shcherbinovka area. No matter what efforts they make, using constant pressure from infantry with the support of equipment - all to no avail. But a breakthrough through the positions in the area of ​​the village of Panteleimonovka-Valentinovka makes it possible to develop success from the right flank of the Defense Forces in the Toretsk area and, in particular, to bypass the same Shcherbinovka," the report says.
Analysts write that after many attempts, the enemy has finally found a weak spot in the defense in that area and, after Romanovka, in their opinion, will try to reach Aleksandro-Kalinovye and Katerynivka in order to take control of the logistics of Toretsk itself.
Let us recall that as of 16:00, 16 battles took place in the Toretsk direction near Dachnoye, Krymskoye, Toretsk and Leonidovka. Five battles are currently underway, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
