[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russian offensive in eastern and southern Ukraine.
The largest number of battles are taking place in the Pokrovsky direction. There, Russian occupiers have carried out 22 attacks in the areas of nine populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, 56 combat clashes have occurred on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Monday, April 21.
Thus, in the Liman direction, the Russians carried out seven attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novoye, Novomikhaylovka, Grekovka, Mirnoye, Kolodyazy, Torskoye. Currently, one combat clash is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy once tried to advance forward in the direction of Markovo, where they were repulsed.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians are trying to penetrate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in the areas of Toretsk, Dilievka, and Shcherbinovka. Two attacks are ongoing, five assaults have already been repelled.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian occupiers carried out 22 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sukhaya Balka, Mirolyubovka, Elizavetovka, Sukhoi Yar, Kotlinoe, Uspenovka, Novoaleksandrovka, Nadeyevka, Troitskoye. The defense forces repelled nine attacks, 13 clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, 11 assaults have been stopped. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Constantinople, Volnoye Pole, Privolnoye, Novosyolka and Rozliv, another clash continues.
In the Orekhov direction, our defenders are repelling an enemy attack in the Stepovoye area.
In the Dnieper direction the enemy carried out one offensive action, but had no success.
In the Kursk region, our soldiers repelled five enemy attacks, two of which are still ongoing.
Let us recall that on April 20, 96 combat clashes occurred on the front in 24 hours , the largest number of which were in the Pokrovsky direction - 39.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupation army has lost almost 700 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1 million people.
