[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
Russian troops are trying to attack in the areas of 11 settlements. Most of the enemy assaults in the Pokrovsky direction have already failed.
Since the beginning of the current day, 94 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Almost half of them occurred in the Pokrovsk area, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, April 8.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians carried out two assaults near Stepova Novoselivka and Zagrizove. The clash is currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invaders attacked eight times near the settlements of Grekovka, Katerynivka and Kolodyazi. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled three attempts by the occupiers to advance forward in the areas of Vasyukovka, Chasovy Yar and Kurdyumovka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked 14 times near Ozaryanovka, Toretsk and Leonidovka. Currently, fighting continues in three locations.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians carried out 42 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kalinove, Yelizavetivka, Lisivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka and Andrivka. The defense forces repelled 32 attacks, and another 10 clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Rozliv, Dniproenergiya and Burlatske. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Gulyai-Pole direction, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful attack in the direction of Vilnoye Pole.
In the Orekhov direction, two assaults in the Stepovoye area have been repelled, and another military clash continues.
In the Kursk region, our defenders repelled two attacks by the Russians, and eight more clashes are still ongoing.
