At a conference, the Russian Defense Ministry discussed the development of robotic systems taking into account the experience of the Air Defense Forces.
- "The role of ground robots will grow. In the coming years, we will create a single network of unmanned systems on the ground, in the air and on the water," the Defense Minister said.
- In 2023, hundreds of such systems were delivered to the troops. "This year we are planning an order of magnitude more," Belousov said.
- They especially noted the effectiveness of robots that are produced directly in troop groups.
- The Minister instructed:
• To eliminate the shortcomings of the equipment based on the experience of the troops
• To establish feedback with the industry
• To standardize components
• To develop tactics for joint use with other drones

In 2025, it is planned to significantly increase the supply of ground robotic systems to the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, speaking at a scientific and technical conference on the operation and development of ground robotic systems, taking into account the experience of conducting a special military operation.
"In 2024, industry and volunteer organizations delivered several hundred ground robotic systems to the Russian Armed Forces. This year, we plan to deliver an order of magnitude more," he noted.
According to Belousov, each group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces has currently established its own production of ground robots.
The head of the defense department added that it is necessary to ensure regular analysis of the experience of combat use of ground robots, and on this basis to form a mechanism for adjusting the tactical and technical requirements for products and to describe the tactics of effective use of ground robots in combination with other unmanned systems according to a single plan.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, in the fall of 2024, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that in the Orekhovo direction, Russian military personnel have long been carrying out tasks using the Fagot robotic anti-tank missile system (ATGM), which was created by one of the servicemen of the Dnepr group of forces, who is an engineer by education.
At the end of January, Belousov personally inspected the Southern Group of the Russian Armed Forces in the SVO zone. Representatives of the group's headquarters reported to the minister on the provision of troops. In addition, Belousov was presented with modern robotic systems with combat modules. The minister also familiarized himself with the progress of work on the modernization, maintenance and repair of drones, robotic systems and other equipment.
