The concern follows growing ties between Syrian leader Jolani and Turkish President ErdoÄŸan. Israel fears Jolani will try to limit its operations in Syria. A recent strike on Syria’s T4 airbase was meant to signal that Israel won’t allow such interference. The official added: “Julani is a classic Islamist with unchanged long-term goals — he remains our enemy.” |
